It was getting close to night fall and both Eda, Luz, King, Willow, Gus, Maxwell, Amity, Edric and Emira were at Hexside as the dance took off. Rockabilly-style music was playing as couples awkwardly dance on the dance floor. Willow was helping other students don their corsages onto them by using a green magic light on both her two index fingers and the students she placed them on were happy that she was skilled at what she was doing. Eda was waiting nervously to the side as she looked at her watch. She was feeling guilty about some of her immature reactions she shown towards Luz when she was in this situation and now she was feeling guilty about Maxwell being in this situation. She felt like she wanted to pull Maxwell out of this and she felt like apologizing to Luz for how immature she was at first and for some of the things she said when she had doubts about Luz when she took on Grom. King walked over to her, feeling concerned.
"Why so twitchy, witchy? I'm trying to remember if I've ever seen you this nervous before." said King.
"Well, of course I'm worried! I'm going to have to save Maxie from a nightmare monster! And I don't often admit this but I'm feeling guilty about some of the things we said to Luz or about Luz when she was in this position, when we expressed doubt in her at first. I didn't like what we said or how we reacted at first. Now my man is going through this and I feel guilty that he's going through this now and I should've been supportive of Luz when this was going on. Ugh, so much for Mama's fun night out." groaned Eda showing guilt.
"Well, between you and me, I'm feeling the same way. I should've been supportive towards Luz at first during this when she went through this. Now our little man is going through this and I wished I was supportive towards Luz in the beginning when she went through it. So I'm also guilty and worried." said King expressing his guilt.
They both sighed and looked at each other.
"Don't say a word of this to anyone. This stays between you and me." Eda warned King. "I got a reputation to uphold as the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles and a tough bad girl."
"My lips are sealed, sister." said King making a motion with his hand to look like he was locking his mouth up like a door. "By the way, I saw you talking to some shady guy before we arrived. What were you doing with him?"
"It was Morton in disguise and lets just say I went to him to get something that may help defeat the Grom beast for good. But I had Morton give it to him because I didn't want anyone to suspect anything afoot since I knew that I wouldn't be able to do this inside the school but I was able to do it outside the school. That's all I'm saying." said Eda.
Without warning, the lights dimmed in the gym where the dance was held. Everyone stopped dancing and looked towards where Gus stood. He stood on a stage with the lights illuminating his location.
"It's almost time for our main Grom event. Please, please, take a seat, and be aware that the first three rows are designated splash zones." Gus spoke into the microphone.
The kids and everyone else turned to see which seats Gus pointed out. There was a one eyed, male demon with blue skin and wearing a yellow slick rain coat and the hat the match. He had an umbrella with him as if expecting someone to throw a water balloon at him.
"But I'd like to introduce a new DJ in the house. The Snaggleback, also known as Monkey D. Man, the party animal DJ." said Gus thrilled.
The pink male monkey demon was playing some funky music briefly at the turntables. The kids saw he was surprisingly good at being a DJ.
"Monkey D. Man in the hizzouse." said the Snaggleback in a hip hop dialect.
They smiled but also started to went to sit down at the seats that were the stands.
"I wonder if Principle Bump is still standing after his hit down south?" joked King.
They heard a male clearing his voice and both Eda and King saw Principle Bump sitting nearby, blushing.
"Oops." said King a little embarrassed.
Principle Bump turned to see Eda and the adult female witch gave the principle a very strict look as if trying to scare him and it was working. Principle Bump was wide eyed at the expressing she gave him.
"Edalyn." said Principle Bump looking nervous.
"Bump with the big rump." insulted Eda. "If anything happens to my humans, you literally won't have a leg to stand on when I'm done with you."
Principle Bump gulped and looked away from her frightening expression.
"I'm in big trouble, am I?" said Principle Bump nervously.
"If anything happens to my humans. I'll do more to you than Maxie did." Eda threatened.
He gulped once more.
"And I see DJ King of the world is in the house too." Gus announced.
King smiled and got giddy as he ran over towards Gus. He had to go down the steps and make his way towards the stage that Gus stood upon. Gus gave King a spare microphone to speak into.
"King of the world is here and we're got a bit of a hip hop note to entertain you with. Hope all of you love this one." said King confidently in the microphone.
"Wait, hip hop note?" said Eda surprised.
"Maxie sort of taught them some odd hip hop song before we got here." said Amity as she was sitting nearby.
Eda was surprised by this as she saw that the Snaggleback started to play hip hop music while Gus and King both placed on black sunglasses.
"So King, what are we going to do tonight?" said Gus.
"The same thing we do every night, Gus. Try to take over the world!" said King powerfully.
King laughed maniacally as the hip hop music kept going.
"Who you trying to get crazy with, ése? Don't you know I'm loco?" said Gus rapping out.
"Careful Gus, or I shall have to stop you! With our subliminal message and these hardcore rap lyrics, we will take over the world!" said King as the word "World" echoed a bit.
Gus let out a thrilled tone as he cheered the word "Boo-yah!"
"Now take it to the grill one time, Gus my man!" announced King.
"Oh, right-o King!" said Gus.
That's when Gus was the first to rap out the words to the song that was being performed by the two of them.
"Oh, we're the boys the plan, ain't no scam. There's a fool-proof plan on the diagram. A-this jam, across the world will span! Wham! From Burbank, to Pakistan!"
The next to rap out the words was King.
"You'll all obey the subliminal message. Brain, washing minds, like my name was Newt Gingrich."
Both Gus and King shouted out the word "Narf" which the audience was showing the were amused by such a hip hop song. King was next to rap out.
"Are you pondering what I'm pondering? We'll rule the world, whatcha wondering?"
Gus followed up after King.
"Oh! Well, King, I think so...But do you think a talk show host will let us be on their show?"
King followed afterwards next.
"I've got to maintain, that a loud mouth like me is going insane!"
The hip hop music kept going and sounded like it was getting better while the audience was tapping their feet while Eda was still feeling worried. Principle Bump didn't seem to like this song but he knew it was part of the event and he had no choice but to let it slide.
Gus and King would rap out to more of the words as Gus would rap out "Insane in the membrane" while King would rap out "Insane in the brain" and there was a time when King would rap out "I'm insane, he's the Brain! YES!" and as they kept going, the audience showed they were subtly entertained by the song. Gus started to rap out more words.
"Now Gus is on the mic, I'm fresh, like a daffodilly! Dance, fun fun, silly willy! I'm your favorite sidekick! Don't deny it! I'm getting dizzy, and I think I rather like it! King gets mad like Ralph Kramden. Bang-Zoom! Just like in a cartoon! I know we'll rule the world brightly, but we'll just screw up and we'll get foiled nightly. Yakko? ZORT! Wakko, Dot? Bobby, Squit, Pesto? Scratchandsniff, Plotz? Their big claim to fame is so lame, a loud mouth like me is going insane!"
Both King and Gus shouted out the word "Narf" in excitement. YES!" and as they kept going, the audience showed they were subtly entertained by the song. Gus started to rap out more words. King started to rap out to the next words as others were seeing they were really good.
"You are under my control, you will do whatever I say."
It wasn't long till the Snaggleback started to rap out and he showed he was surprisingly good at this hip hop note.
"They're a demon and the brain, demon and the brain. One is a genius, the other's insane! They're smarter than laboratory mice! Smarter than laboratory mice! THEY'RE GENES HAVE BEEN SPLICED! To prove their intellectual worth, THEY'LL OVERTHROW THE EARTH! They're Animani- TOTALLY INSANEY! One is the brains, the other is insane, THEY'RE INSANE IN THE BRAIN!"
King began to rap out next with the words he used and the audience showed that this was fun to see. A young male witch and a canine like male demon rapping out to a catchy song.
"Like Louis Armstrong, played a trumpet, I'll rule this world at the size of a crumpet. You, will all become my props. Cops, never try to stop my plots. Those pigs cannot blow this mouse down! YES! Soon town to town will fall to the ground. World peace is surely going to increase, it's as easy as a piece of cheese. Iconoclastin' blastin' stone col' rockin' noodle noggin with a proletariat dream. Soon, with this midnight scheme, I'll become the canine supreme. Through the world I will reign, like Charles Foster Kane, cause a loud mouth like me is known as the Brain! YES!"
Gus and King would rap out to more of the words as Gus would rap out "Insane in the membrane" while King would rap out "Insane in the brain" and there was a time when King would rap out "I'm insane, he's the Brain! YES!" and as they kept going, the audience showed they were subtly entertained by the song. Gus started to rap out more words. Gus followed up on the words he rapped out to next.
"Zounds, Brain! Isn't being a gangsta rapper the best fun ever!"
King followed up next with the words he wrapped out to.
"Gus, we've done our job too well! Our hip hop jam is so funky, it's completely deluded our subliminal message! Come, we must return to our cage, so I can think of a better plan for tomorrow night." said King.
The hip hop music instantly faded and Gus was next to say more.
"Why, King? What are we going to do tomorrow night?" asked Gus.
Than King smiled and said the remaining words.
"The same thing we do every night, Gus my boy. Try and take over the world!" said King powerfully.
The Snaggleback pushed a button on the turntables that had what looked like the sound of men and women singing in a sing song voice.
"They're demon, they're demon and the Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain."
King and Gus blurted out the word "Narf" one last time and the music stopped. The audience applauded as they liked the performance.
"Whoa, they were not bad." said Eda.
King ran his way all the way back towards where Eda sat and he sat next to her.
"I'll admit King, you and Gus were not bad." Eda commented.
"I can't believe Maxie taught us that. He usually strays away from those sort of music." said King.
After mentioning Maxwell, both Eda and King felt their feelings of guilt towards Luz and Maxwell returning as both of them looked worried. Amity walked out to the doorway that lead to the hallway of the entrance from the gym. Luz was with her at the time. They saw Maxwell nearby as they saw him filling up a small bottle with a clear liquid like water from a larger bottle, he placed the large bottle in a pocket of his and held the small bottle in one hand while he had his cross like pendant necklace in the other. They saw he had a stoic expression on his face but a tinge of nervousness that was barely noticeable.
"Maxie, you sure you want to do this?" asked Luz worried.
"Maxie, would you prefer if I do this?" said Amity worried for him.
Maxwell looked at them and shook his head as he disapproved of the suggestion.
"As long as I'm still around, I'm not letting a woman put herself in danger for this. Besides, one way or the other, someone's going to have to kill this Grom demon." said Maxwell declining on the suggestion.
They were admired that Maxwell didn't want a woman being in danger out of respect as they knew that he had respect for a woman and there was no harming a lady while he's around.
"I'll admit, you look like a handsome Adonis in that suit." Amity complimented.
"I'm flattered but I'm taken." said Maxwell making some humor. "Also, if you guys encounter that demon, if it tries to read your minds or tries to find out what you're worst fear is and use it against you. Immediately empty your heads, don't think of your fears or anything, it probably can't find out anything about you or what you will do if you empty your heads."
The two teenager girls smiled and nodded as they hugged him and kissed him on his cheeks.
"Call to us for help if you need it." Luz advised.
"Entendido." said Maxwell.
"Now, introducing our Grom king. You know him, you love him, you've seen him defeat an evil vampire, an evil lizard demon, you've... at least heard of him. Maxwell, the Human!" Gus called out.
The spotlight was now on Maxwell as both Maxwell, Amity and Luz entered the gym. The students cheered for him as Maxwell popped his neck. Maxwell placed the small bottle of water back in one of his pockets as he kept holding onto his cross.
"Wish my luck, ladies." Maxwell told the two girls.
"Luck." said Amity and Luz.
"Clear the floor!" Maxwell advised out loud. "And no swearing!"
The kids seem to obey as they cleared the space on the floor as they knew that if the floor opens up, they should step away from the floor the opens in case they fall through. The part of the floor opened once Gus nervously pushed a red button nearby on a stand and two walls came from Maxwell's left and right side that showed an arsenal of weapons to choose from. Maxwell got out the small bottle and poured some of it on one of his hands, he dabbed the liquid on his forehead as it looked like he was drawing a cross on his forehead, than poured more on his hands and made sure his hands were covered with them, and dried the liquid off quickly. He kept holding the cross and he took what looked like an odd sword that was over two foot long and over four inches wide as the handle looked like it was shaped like the handle of a gun and it had the gun trigger as his weapon of choice. It looked like a gun glade. He even dabbed liquid on the weapon, they wondered what he was doing with this liquid and what it was. He placed the weapon on his on his left side as the weapon had a holster and a strap that he could put around his belt.
"If you encounter this demon, empty your heads so it can't use your fears against you and so it can't read your minds!" Maxwell advised to everyone.
The students looked confused but they figured they should obey him since they knew that he's defeated two demons before with some of his friends and that they knew this was a dangerous event. He entered the arena that the Grom was located in.
"In the name of the lord! Grometheus, come on out and face me!" Maxwell called out.
Maxwell turned one direction and saw a huge black like blob of a monster nearby and he showed an expression on his face that was literally no emotions.
"I call upon the lord to strengthen me and encourage me to take on this foul unholy beast!" Maxwell called out.
Maxwell placed his free hand on the handle of the gun blade and pulled it out from it's holster. The creature came at Maxwell and he pulled the trigger of the gun blade, followed by a loud bang and the demon let out a shriek like scream of pain, showing that where the shot landed on the Grom demon's body was burning and the creature hissed loudly from it.
"Whoa, he shot at it!" called a male demon student.
The Grom monster tried to fight back against Maxwell as it moved towards him but stopped, it looked like it tried to read Maxwell's mind to use a fear against him or to try to think of a way to fight back but it looked like it couldn't penetrate his mind.
"It looks like it can't read his mind." said Luz.
"That's new but kind of a first for me." said Eda looking surprised.
The big black blob like monster encircled Maxwell like a lion encircling it's prey.
"Lord of the heavens, who tells the truth and never lies! While this unholy beast is the one that tells lies and never tells the truth. I call upon the holy spirit to cast this beast out and by the power of God, I vanquish thy evil and cast them into the fire!" Maxwell continued.
The Grom tried coming back at Maxwell from behind and he quickly pulled out the cross he had and held it into the air, the demon touched the cross and screamed in pain as it had smoke coming from the noticeable burns coming from the part of it's body that touched the cross. Something that looked like tentacles came at Maxwell and he used the blade of the gun blade to slice at the tentacles, causing the tentacles to burn as it screamed in pain but it shape shifted the parts of it's body to heal any cut off parts of the body yet it still felt the pain.
"What's Maxie doing?" said Amity confused.
"He's performing an exorcism on Grom." answered Eda.
Luz and Amity looked at Eda in surprise.
"How do you know that?" asked Luz curiously.
"That bottle of liquid that Maxie's using, it's holy water. I got Morton to disguise himself to give it to Maxie so he can use it against Grom." answered Eda looking serious. "King told me how to defeat Grom for good. Luz, forgive me and King if I didn't tell you this sooner, it's just me and King didn't think of it at the time you battled against Grom. To be honest, I don't think you and me know how to perform an exorcism, even King doesn't know how to do that. Luz, forgive me and King when we doubted you at first when you battled against Grom, we're sorry. We're sorry for laughing at you and not supporting you and not having faith in you at first, we're sorry for the horrible things we said."
"I'm sorry too Luz." said King showing remorse.
Luz was surprised but she smiled at their attempt of apologizing to her.
"I forgive you guys." said Luz.
They turned to see Maxwell still fighting Grom and they saw Maxwell used a bit of holy water from the small bottle he now held in one of his hands. He was tossing some of the holy water at the Grom demon and when ever any of it would sprinkle on the demon's body, it screamed in pain as the liquid acted like acid to the demon's body.
"I cast you out, unclean beast! In the name of the lord, be gone, it is he who commands you! From the highs of heaven, and to the gates of hell! Be gone, from this world of God!" Maxwell shouted. "The power of Christ compels you!"
The Grom demon tried again to attack Maxwell but he jumped ten feet into the air and flipped twice. But during the jump, one of the demon's tentacles brushed against Maxwell's face and for a brief moment, his eyes flashed bright white. But than his eye color came back. He landed on his feet and the creature suddenly took the form of a door. It looked like the door that he came through that lead him into the Boiling Isles. He turned to see this door and it was opening, as it opened, white light shined from it and a tall figure came through it.
"I cast you out! The power of Christ compels you!" shouted Maxwell.
"Fuck this whole holy and unholy bullshit!" came a male's voice.
The look on Maxwell's face suddenly turned to wide eyed fear as he saw the figure appear through the door. It was a man, he had long, grey hair with strands of blonde around his hair, he had a clean and shaven face and he was a human male adult that appeared to be at least in the middle of his thirties, he wore a black suit and black tie and he looked like an adult version of Maxwell. The Grom demon took on the form of Maxwell's abusive father.
"Maxwell Logan! What the fuck are you doing here and not being at home and doing as I say?" shouted Daston.
Eda, Luz, Amity, Gus, Willow, King, Emira and Edric saw this. Eda, King, Luz, Willow and Gus recognized this man as Maxwell's horrible father.
"Father...I." Maxwell said feebly.
Daston looked around and saw the witches, the demons, and saw Maxwell's friends all around and he looked at Maxwell with a look of anger.
"Maxwell, what the fuck is this place. It looks like a freak show for school. Start explaining or I'm going to bring you back home and whoop your disobedient little ass!" said Daston sharply.
Maxwell felt like he was too weak from fear to even fight back. Some of the students and teachers were murmuring.
"Is that how he treats his own son?" said Amity shocked.
"It's a long story." said King sadly.
"That man has a horrible temper and he takes it out on his own son?" said a female teacher shocked.
"That man is so mean to him." said a few female students.
Daston suddenly had parts of the Grom demon showing from beneath his lower body, below his waist was a huge black blob and Daston's eyes turned a bright white light.
"A weapon? Is this where you've been this whole time? Hiding from me! You cowardly little shit!" shouted Daston in a demonic voice.
Eda and Luz stood up and looked ready to assist Maxwell.
"Maxie, that's not your father! The Grom is just taking his form!" called Luz.
"Shut up, you little bitch!" Daston shot.
A fit of anger was rising within from Maxwell as he tried to be courageous about this.
"Don't you dare call her that!" shouted Maxwell in defiance.
Daston looked at Maxwell with an irate expression.
"What did you say to me, you little bastard?" Daston insulted. "Have you been with that lady with the long grey hair and that young girl this whole time, in this world of freaks?"
"Hey you, stop talking to him like that! You can no longer talk Maxie like that!" said Eda sharply.
"I'm his father and what I say goes!" argued Daston. "Maxwell, come home right now or I'll drag you there, kicking and screaming or should I break every bone in your body and drag you there myself! You never want to do anything, all you ever do is whine, moan and complain that your life is so unfair. Get over it. I'm the adult here. I'm smart, your dumb, I'm big, your little, I'm right, your wrong! And there's nothing you can do about it!"
As Daston ranted and insulted and verbally berated Maxwell, he slapped his own son in the face, causing him to groan in pain.
"We are going home and that's final!" Daston shouted.
Maxwell was fighting the urge to cry but something kicked into him that overcame that urge. He started to feel angry and defiant. He looked at his father with a defiant expression.
"No!" said Maxwell finally.
Daston looked offended by Maxwell's defiance.
"Did you just say no to me?" asked Daston rhetorically.
"Yes he did!" called Eda.
Eda, Luz and King came from their seats and came over to stand closer to Maxwell from a distance, they stood near the side of the entrance of the arena.
"That's right, bub! You can't talk to him like that anymore!" Eda continued as her mother bear instincts kicked in. "He's had enough of your bull and he's staying with us. You're not his father anymore."
Eda and Luz crossed their arms in discontent towards Daston as they knew that Grom would fight back but Daston was looking shocked like it was the first time people stood up to Daston. He looked at Maxwell with a growl.
"Did you tell her to say that to me?" said Daston with a growl.
"No I didn't. They said it on their own accord and I agree with them. I don't want to go back with you. I want to stay with Eda and my friends." said Maxwell defying him. "Yeah! I've been here this whole time, got to have supportive people on my side for a change, got to sleep in if I wanted to, got to eat sweets when I wanted to, made more friends here than I did back at home, started standing up to bullies, defeated a vampire, defeated a lizard demon, going to a school I actually like, they take consideration in what I want, my choices and my decisions. started learning magic, yeah, that hocus pocus that you believed was all David Copperfield nonsense, well guess what daddy? This magic is all real and it makes your words mean nothing, I've helped a lot of people, good people, they've helped me a lot and they never made me feel horrible for being myself, and fell in love with the most beautiful woman in the world! With a passion a blasphemer like you could never begin to understand. That's who I am!"
Maxwell sucked in a lot of air and let out a loud lion like roar at the Grom and the form of his father that it took and he breathed fire out of his mouth briefly. After he stopped roaring, everyone was cheering for him as if seeing Maxwell stand up to his abusive father was something that they found inspirational. Maxwell raised a hand as if to show Daston the amount of people who are against him and his abusive, toxic behavior.
"You see that, father? You can't hurt me no more." said Maxwell in defiance.
"Yeah, that's my boy! That's our Maxie!" said Eda, King and Luz proudly.
Daston suddenly growled so loudly and let out a loud demonic like shriek that almost hurt everyone's ears. Maxwell's fear returned and he pulled out the big bottle of holy water from his pocket.
"You're going to get the worst punishment I can think of that even a man like me finds cruel." growled Daston.
"Eat this!" shouted Maxwell.
The Grom demon came at Maxwell but he tossed the big bottle of holy water at it and the bottle shattered, all of the holy water splashed on the demon's body, causing it to scream in pain from the burning sensation of the holy water.
"Maxie run! I got an idea?" advised Eda.
Maxwell ran out of the arena, and ran out of the gym. The Grom demon ran for him but was slowed down by the pain from the burning that the holy water caused.
"Get back here, you little shit!" screamed Daston.
"Grom has escaped." shouted Principle Bump getting up from his seat.
Everyone was terrified about the fact that the Grom demon escaped and was going after poor Maxwell. Gus gave the microphone to King when he came to his side. Gus nodded to King and he had a determined look on his face. King spoke into the microphone.
"Folks, this has to end now! Me, Eda, Luz and our young boy are the only ones who can forever defeat the Grom. Wouldn't you want the Grom demon to forever be gone and never have to worry about it again and no longer fear it? Sure, you find this to be entertaining but making kids battle against a monster that can kill you is wrong! No one should have to fight this monster and risk their lives, we should be able to forever be rid of this Grom demon and never live in fear of it ever again. Making some young kid battle it for your entertainment is wrong! Yeah Bump, I said it! You all should be ashamed of yourselves, both when Luz was battling the Grom and when Maxie was battling against it. Maxwell and Luz has done so much for you, now it's time for you to help. You don't want an innocent person's blood on your hands. You want to take that to the grave?" King said telling everyone off.
The students looked afraid of King, they actually looked afraid of him. Eda turned to give the students a scary look.
"Help my humans or I'm going to do worse to you than what Grom will do to anyone else. You'll be lucky to still be able to have kids by the time I'm done with you if you don't help my humans right now!" threatened Eda.
The students and even the teachers and staff all looked horrified of Eda and they all got up on their feat and saluted her.
"Yes ma'am!" said everyone fearfully.
Eda, Luz, King, Amity, Gus, Willow and everyone else were running out of the gym and the school, all of them following Eda, Luz and King as they walked out of the school to help Maxwell. They followed Grom to the woods as Maxwell was running from Grom, trying to shoot at the Grom with the gun blade but it dodged the shots. The shots ether hit the ground or the trees.
"Burn in hell, you unholy demon!" shouted Maxwell.
"Why can't you face my like a man? Stop being a whiny little brat!" shouted Daston.
"You're not really my father. You're just a shape shifting demon who bullies kids and hurts them." argued Maxwell.
Maxwell nearly stopped near a cliff and turned around to see the Grom demon coming to him and stopped.
"How dare you talk to your father like that! The beating I'm going to give you will be worse than any beat down I've given you!" yelled Daston.
Maxwell looked at the creature in fear but tried to swallow his fear.
"Fuck you and your parenting style! Mother was a better parent than you!" Maxwell cursed.
The creature was about to strike him but suddenly a blast of fire shot at Grom from behind.
"Spicy toss!" shouted Eda.
The Grom demon fell and panted from the pain as Maxwell saw Eda flying on her staff and she flew down to land on her feet. She wielded her staff like it was a spear.
"Hands off my human, you misshapen excuse for a monster!" Eda shot.
Maxwell looked towards Eda and felt some hope sinking into him.
"Eda, we have no choice! We're going to have to kill it!" called Maxwell.
"I should be the one to apologize. I should've done something about this demon long time ago." called Eda.
The demon looked at both Eda and Maxwell as Luz, Willow, Gus, King, Amity, Edric, Emira and the rest of the students, teachers and staff members showed up. Maxwell and Eda suddenly had an idea.
"Everyone, empty your heads!" Eda advised.
"Grometheus, show me your true form and face me!" Maxwell dared.
The Grom demon seemed to take up on his command and it morphed into what it's true form was that of a gigantic, otherworldly spider. Everyone gasped at the sight of Grom's true form.
"That's one ugly spider!" said Eda.
"Eda, spell bind this monster!" Maxwell advised Eda through his mind.
Eda didn't hesitate as the creature tried to stomp Eda with one of it's giant legs but Eda dodged it's hairy legs and feet. She drew a spell glyph on her hands quickly and it glowed an icy blue color as she clapped her hands once and slapped her hand palms on it's legs. The huge spider now briefly glowed an icy blue light. The Grom demon tried to shape shift but it couldn't, it was stuck in it's true form.
"Hey Maxie, lets squash this spider." Eda dared.
"You got it!" Maxwell obeyed.
The Grom demon tried to stomp on Maxwell as he ran around with the gun blade, he quickly dodged the huge spider's legs and used the blade of the weapon to slice through the monsters legs, causing it to scream and shriek in pain, causing the monster to bleed.
"Slice em and dice em!" cried Maxwell in defiance.
"That's my boy! Show em whose boss!" cried Eda.
Eda pulled out another large bottle of holy water from her pocket.
"Holy water!" called Eda.
"Toss it at it's face!" King commanded.
"Hey Grom, I got a cold drink for you!" taunted Eda.
The Grom demon turned to face Eda and once it faces her, she tossed the bottle of holy water and the bottle hit the demon's face, it screamed in pain and the holy water had burned it's face, it's eyes and even got in it's mouth. It acted like acid as Maxwell jumped high into the air and he used the blade of his weapon to slice off all the spider's legs at a higher height, causing it to fall on the ground and it was twitching in pain as it tried to move but couldn't go anywhere.
"Maxie, used your weapon to impale it from the weak spot!" cried King and Luz.
"Everybody look away!" Maxwell instructed.
They all looked away and when Maxwell went towards the now incapacitated Grom demon and they heard a loud shriek of pain.
"Lord forgive me!" cried Maxwell.
They heard the Grom demon screaming in pain and shrieking but they didn't look at what was going on.
"Don't look!" shouted Maxwell.
They obeyed and they heard what sounded like ripping sounds and the sound of a loud heart beating and the sound of a blade stabbing into something and the one more shriek of pain while the heart beat sounds started to fade till it eventually stopped.
"What's going on?" called Eda.
"Don't look!" cried Maxwell.
It was a minute till they heard a snapping of Maxwell's fingers and what sounded like grunting sounds.
"Okay, it's safe to look!" Maxwell told them.
They all looked and what they saw was the Grom demon's true form and it's body wasn't moving, it was like it was no longer alive. They saw Maxwell was holding something in his hands, the gun blade was on the ground, but he was holding something wrapped up in white clothe and the clothe had some red stains on it that horribly looked like blood. Principle Bump came over to Maxwell and Maxwell placed the object in the principle's hands.
"Maxwell, what did you do?" asked Principle Bump looking curious.
"Burn this till it's nothing but ashes." instructed Maxwell.
Maxwell turned to the dead body of the Grom demon and sucked in a lot of air and let it out as he breathed fire all over the dead body of the Grom demon. The demon's body was consumed by the flames as Maxwell eventually stopped breathing fire. The body of the Grom demon eventually stopped burning and was now nothing but a pile of ashes and the wind blew them away off the cliff. Maxwell clapped his hands once and placed them on his body, his body glowed and any of the blood from the Grom demon that was on him disappeared as if he got himself cleaned off all over.
"Maxie, is it?" asked Luz pausing.
"Lets just say that Grom is forever burning in a place that I dare not mention." Maxwell told her.
Maxwell came over to Eda and both of them embraced each other in a hug, Luz and King came over to them to hug Maxwell. They were relieved that Maxwell was alright. They eventually removed their arms from each other.
"So Maxie, you still alright and in one piece?" asked Luz hopefully.
"I'm still standing strong like Fort Benning." Maxwell reassured.
A light suddenly formed on both Eda and Maxwell's heads, each one of them were wearing a Grom tiara on their heads. Both of them immediately knew that both of them were crowned Grom king and queen, leaving them both blushing. King smiled as he got the microphone.
"And there you have it, folks. A happy ending for this year's Grom, or probably forever. Let's give a big hand to our Grom king and queen, Eda and Maxwell!" King announced over the microphone.
Everyone applauded and cheered as many of the students came over to lifted both Eda, Luz, King and Maxwell up as they paraded around them and carried them off to cheer for them as they held them up. Eda and Maxwell both blushed with a grin and held onto each others hands. Eda and King both winked and smiled at them as they winked and smiled back. The students that were holding the four up were cheering for them and they were celebrating not just because the Grom demon was finally defeated forever but also because of the fact that Eda and Maxwell defeated the Grom demon while they also knew that they were to apologize to King and Luz for any sort of cruelty they caused them, both from the last time Luz and even Amity took on Grom but also from this time.
