At the Owl House, King and Hooty managed to calm Luz and Maxwell as they talked to both King and Hooty about what happened. Maxwell explained that he made multiple magical clones of himself when they were in the castle and some when Luz wasn't looking when they were headed to school at the time as Maxwell told them he had an idea to invade the castle or to set up a trap but he didn't know if his clones made the plan work or if any of them are still active or if any of them clones got taken down.
King started to get out a book titled "The unauthorized Boiling Isles history" as he explain to explain to them what he knows from it as he read it out loud to them.
"The Boiling Isles is named after the raging hot water of the Boiling Sea, and is composed of the bones of a fallen Titan. This original magic was so potent, all life on the Isles evolved to wild magic too. For years, we explored those power freely. Until, a mysterious Witch appeared who declared that he, and he alone, could speak to the Island. He said that we were using magic all wrong. His teachings took hold, his strength grew, and he became Emperor Belos. Belos said that mixing magic was wrong, that only he had that right. So he created the coven system. And there, our knowledge was restricted, and our potential sealed away. Those who resist are called wild witches, and they face harsh punishment. Emperor Belos has since retreated into his castle, there are whispers that say he's planning something BIG. I wonder if catching Eda was part of his big plan. What do you think, guys? Guys?" explained King and now trying to get their attention.
Luz was looking out the window in her room.
"I think Emperor Belos is a liar and is lying to everyone." said Maxwell making a cold comment.
Both Luz and Maxwell looked at a wrapped up gift that Eda made for them. For them it had a tag that read "To a witch from her proud mentor, Eda" and it read the same on Maxwell's tag. They both looked at King with a look of determination. They both put on the cloak that Eda made for them as they placed the neck area around their necks and snapped the button on to keep it on them.
"I don't care what Belos is up to, because today, We're saving Eda!" said Luz.
"Same here. Emperor Belos is the devil for what he's doing. And Lilith is nothing but a mindless lapdog." said Maxwell in agreement.
They walked out of the room and they made their way to another room in the house that looked like the armory with an arsenal of weapons. They walked inside the room, wonder which weapon to choose. King followed them in and was looking worried.
"Guys, what are you doing?" asked King wide eyed.
Maxwell saw a huge knife on a rack and took it with him, he took it off the mantel it was on and Luz grabbed hold of a dagger.
"This is serious King, Eda used her power to save us and got caught by Lilith! Now she's the Owl beast and is being taken before the Emperor! We don't know what he's planning to do with Eda, but we're going to rescue her." said Luz looking serious about her choice.
"I've fallen in love with my true love and I'm not losing her to a power hungry, lying, dirty-rotten, corrupt devil. I'm going to get her back, she's rescued me before, now it's my turn to help rescue her." said Maxwell looking like nothing was going to stop him.
King looked afraid for them as he knew what they're planning to do would be impossible, even for humans or witches.
"Haven't you two been listening to me? He's the Emperor! He's the most powerful witch alive!" said King looking hesitant about what they're doing.
They turned to King and attempted to get through to him as they knew that even King wants to help but was a little scared. Luz knelt down to place a hand on King's left shoulder.
"King, please try to understand. Eda is in this situation because of me and Maxie. Because of our stupid choice. We have to make up for it." said Luz attempting to convince King.
"I'm joining in this too. She's done so much for us, this is our turn to do something for her. We may have made a choice that got her into this mess but we're going to get her out. The good lord wants us to." Maxwell said in agreement.
"But she's in her Owl Beast form! How will she even recognize you two?" asked King.
"We don't know, but we have to try anyway." said Luz knowing this would be hard to accomplish.
King knew they were serious, a bit worried, yes, but serious about what they're going to do. He suddenly looked up at them and felt something tell him that he had to help as well.
"Well then, I'm going too." replied King now fully convinced.
"But King." Luz started.
"Me and Eda don't always see eye to eye, but I do consider her family. I want her back as much as you guys do." said King showing compassion.
Luz and Maxwell knew that King was convinced and they also knew they needed all the help they could get. Luz got up on her feet while Maxwell nodded.
"Alright. Then we got no time to lose!" said Luz walking out the room.
Both Luz, King and Maxwell ran out the room and out of the house. They knew it wouldn't be easy but they had to do something to save Eda.
"Just like in the words that Maxie said before when he's got faith in taking on a dangerous person whose about to harm those he loves." Luz reminded.
"I stand by the power of the Mighty One and I'm going after him!" said the three in unison.
As they went out to the town. The three were hearing a news broadcast on the crystal balls where a tall man that is Gus's father was making a news broadcast about what the Emperor was up to when he captured Eda. They heard and saw this while they were having to think of something to get their way to the Emperor's castle.
Maxwell suddenly tapped his head three times and a gold light was blinking around him. He was attempting to reach someone out there while he used his mind to communicate with three other kids.
"Willow, Gus, Amity. You see what's happening on the news? We got to do something to help Eda. Do what ever you got to do. But do not take the lord's name in vain. While you do what you have to do to help, have faith as you do!" said Maxwell through his mind.
Maxwell could tell he reached the three friends of his and Luz as he saw through his eyes where they were at. He could see that Willow, Gus and Amity were contacting each other through their penstagram that they used like a cellphone.
When Maxwell was done, his head stopped vibrating and both Luz, King and Maxwell saw that Gus's father mentioned something about "Petrification" they had worried looks on their face.
"Please tell me that's not as bad as it sounds." asked Luz feeling dread.
"What's petrification?" asked Maxwell nervously.
King had a grim expression as he knew this wouldn't be good to tell them. He let out a sigh.
"Petrification is only done to the worst criminals, and once that spell is placed, it can't be reversed." King explained.
They looked at the crystal balls that shown what other wild witches looked like when they were petrified. This not only sent rage through their minds, but fear as well. But when they saw Lilith's face appear on the crystal ball, their rage took over.
"Lilith. She cursed Eda, she captured her own sister! She is the worst! If I ever see her again!" said Luz looking mad.
"I'm gonna kill her!" said Maxwell in a deep demonic voice.
Luz and Maxwell grabbed hold of an orb and tossed it to the ground, causing it to shatter into pieces. Both of them panting with rage fuming in them. King may have seen Maxwell angry but he never saw Luz get this mad before, it was a surprise to him.
"Guys, you need to calm down. We need to think about saving Eda first!" King advised.
Hearing King's words seemed to be enough to calm the two human teenagers of their rage, they let out a breath to calm themselves and their anger subsided.
"You're right, but how will we get to the conformatorium in time?" asked Luz wondering if anyone has an idea.
"I could fly us there or teleport us there or something. But they'll probably be expecting that, and possibly throw us out because it'll be like security guards forcefully escorting disruptors from a nightclub." said Maxwell knowing the listed ideas wouldn't work.
They heard someone whistling nearby and turned to see a large, heavyset male guard walk by. He was whistling happily as if in a good mood about something. An idea popped into one of their minds.
"We'll have to do something SO diabolical, SO criminally insane, that they'll have to send us to the conformatorium." King suggested.
They looked around to see what they could do that would get them to get the guard's attention for what they're attempting. Luz spotted a small field of grass with a sign that read "Do Not Step On The Grass" in white painted lettering. Luz pointed at the spot which both King and Maxwell turned to see what idea Luz had.
"Not my first choice but I can go for it." said Maxwell agreeing with her idea.
They ran towards the small field of grass and they not only set foot on it but Maxwell was doing a little dance on it. They saw the guard walk by and knew their idea was perfect for what they're about to do.
"Heyyy!" called Luz.
The guard stopped and turned to see both Luz, King and Maxwell on the grass that had the wooden sign. Maxwell did a dance on the grass to taunt the guard.
"Whaaa?" said Luz and King teasing.
"I'm dancing on the grass and about to kick some ass!" said Maxwell in a sing song voice.
The guard saw this and gasped in horror like he saw a lady giving birth. The guard came over to them looked angry.
"You three are in so much trouble." the guard said sounding annoyed.
He escorted them to a nearby carriage that would take them to the conformatorium. Luz, King and Maxwell walked inside the carriage as the guard closed the two doors on them in there.
"Watch your heads in there, it's going to be a bumpy ride, especially when your taking for processing." the guard told them.
The carriage took off towards their destination while Maxwell looked at Luz and King.
"Got any ideas?" asked Maxwell through his mind.
They nodded to him in response while Maxwell also talked to them about an idea or more he had in mind which they figured he was informing them about it in case one idea fails. Maxwell spent the ride talking to them through his mind about what they all can do to break out Eda.
It took some time to get them to the conformatorium. Luz, King and Maxwell looked out the window of the carriage they're in and saw numerous petrified witches on display in line, many of them had expressions of agony, pain, horror and looked like some of them were begging for mercy. Seeing them witches that way sent a chill up their spines.
They gasped as they saw two guards were carrying what looked like a huge, carved stone that was the size of a large box. They carried it off to an empty space near two other petrified witches. The name plate they had on it was the color of bronze and it had Eda's name on it. King started to feel angry.
"There's not gonna be a new statue going up today. Right, guys? Guys?" said King turned to them.
When King turned to see Luz and Maxwell, he saw their enraged faces as they saw a poster of Lilith on the wall that had a message that read "Join The Emperor's Coven Today!" while it looked like Lilith had a sword in one hand, it looked like she had done a pose for a picture. Luz growled in anger while Maxwell growled like an animal.
The carriage took them further into the conformatorium as they entered it's building with barred shutters coming down as they went inside where the carriage would stop. They heard voices from outside.
"Sir, the Owl Lady's human students have been apprehended. Even the human male that supposedly fallen in love with her." said the guard to his superior.
The superior turned out to be the large and muscular male that was none other than Warden Wrath. He stood there, waiting for them to open up the carriage.
"Very good. Ahh, Luz the Human, Maxwell the Human. How I've waited to see you two again. Now I'll have my revenge and you'll have front row seats to Eda's demise and we'll extract Maxwell's power for the Emperor." said Warden Wrath tauntingly.
The large male reached to grab hold of the door handles to the carriage but upon opening it, he's bombarded by branches as it knocked him to the floor from a distance, holding him down with impressive strength, both Luz, King and Maxwell jumped out and they were irate. Maxwell stomped his foot to the ground hard and ice pillars formed from the floor, making a guard get knocked a few feet away and another guard was held up on the ceiling by the ice pillar that went through it's cape, leaving the guard unharmed.
Warden Wrath morphed his hands and arms into tentacles while he used his strength to rip the conjured tree off him like pushing a body off him. But than Maxwell snapped his fingers and made it look like he punched the air, causing more ice pillars to subdue Warden Wrath. Both Luz, King and Maxwell walked over to the know cowering warden. Maxwell growled like a real lion to scare him, he got out his huge knife to hold it near the warden's neck.
"Where's Eda?" Luz demanded.
"Tell us where she is or you'll be the new headless ghost. Trust me, I'll do it!" Maxwell threatened him.
"She's in the holding cell in the dungeon. I swear!" said Warden Wrath submitting to them in fear.
Luz got out a pencil and paper as she was showing to be quite intimidating to the large male.
"Draw us a map!" Luz instructed.
Somewhere at the conformatorium. There was an audience of people that were there to watch the Petrification Eda would face. Many of them were afraid, some were wondering if this was right or wrong, some of them felt like this wasn't fair to Eda as many of them felt like the Emperor's actions were not right.
"Do you really think Eda deserves a petrification?" said a concerned male demon with horns.
"I don't know...this is all happening so fast. Plus, that male human who fell in love with her is probably going to be crushed." said a three eyed male demon feeling concern for Eda and Maxwell.
Nearby, both Willow, Amity and Gus had arrived. They had their hoods over their heads as if to try and not draw attention to themselves.
"If we know anything about Luz and Maxie, they're going to be here, trying to save Eda." said Willow.
"And we'll be here to save them when they needs us!" said Gus in agreement.
"I sure hope this works. Maxwell really loves Eda and so does Luz." said Amity looking worried.
"It's like Maxie said, have some faith." Willow told Amity. "Let's split up and find them!"
The three witch teenagers nodded and walked off in separate directions to make their attempts to help Eda, Luz and Maxwell. From inside the castle, Lilith looked out the window and she had a cold look on her face.
"The Emperor isn't going to heal my sister of her curse. He lied to me. He's been lying to me this whole time. Maybe Edalyn's was right. Edalyn and the little human girl and that little human boy, maybe what I did them was wrong. I cursed my sister and it lead to this, I nearly killed those two human children and I framed one of them for a crime he didn't commit in an attempt to cover up one of my mistakes. What have I done to them?" Lilith told herself.
Lilith heard Kikimora and Warden Wrath enter the room she was in as Kikimora didn't sound amused. She turned to see Kikimora was furious and Warden Wrath looking disappointed and defeated.
"Fools! You let the humans escape! And you drew them a map?!" Kikimora scolded.
Lilith shown an annoyed expression as she walked over to them. She knew what she had to do.
"Worry not, Kikimora, I shall capture the humans." said Lilith walking out of the room.
Somewhere in the castle, Luz, King and Maxwell had subdued plenty of guards. One of them was encased in ice, some were hanging by thorny vines and many were knocked out. Luz, King and Maxwell walked down a hallway and made it to two big double doors. It had a gold lock on it.
"King, watch the door." Luz instructed.
King nodded in agreement. Maxwell stepped up and took hold of the lock and with impressive strength, he pulled on it and broke the chain to it in two, tossing the lock far down a hallway a good distance. They pushed the doors open and walked inside. They saw Eda from a distance as Luz used a light spell to illuminate their way in. They ran to her.
"Eda!" they called.
When they reached up to Eda, her large wing went up and knocked both of them a few feet away, but as Eda was still in her beast form, she turned to see them. She charged at them while and let out a loud shriek. Both of them were quick to summon the light spell again to try and calm her. They saw she was in gold chains to keep her from getting too far.
"Eda, wait! It's us! It's us." said Luz and Maxwell in unison.
Eda stopped and upon seeing the light orb that floated in their hands, her eyes went from blank and dark to back to her original color. Her attack has stopped and she looked at the two kids in worry. Their light orbs had disappeared once they put their hands down.
"Kids Oh no, oh no no no no no wh- what are you doing here?" said Eda sounding frantic.
"It's okay Eda, we're here to save you!" said Luz.
Luz pulled out a slip of paper that had a spell glyph to place it on the chains that kept Eda stuck. The glyph glowed a bright blue light but disappeared as it didn't work. Maxwell reached out to pull the chains with as much strength as possible but to no avail.
"Your magic isn't strong enough for this, you two need to leave! Now." instructed Eda worried.
"But, but we can't! It's our fault you needed to save us, it's our fault you got captured." said Luz feeling guilt.
"I'm not leaving here without you." said Maxwell.
Luz tried other spell glyphs but they too didn't work. Eda placed her hands on Luz and Maxwell's shoulders, looking them in their eyes.
"No. Listen to me you two. I'm here because of my own actions. I went against Belos's law, and for a while I was able to get away with it. But, without magic, I can't do much. I don't regret anything. I lived freely, and I got to meet you two." Eda told them feeling guilty about hurting them. "I even got to fall in love with a sweet southern boy who did some of the kindest things for me."
Both the two kids looked at Eda with sadness. They knew she wasn't the type to give up.
"But Eda." said Luz.
Eda placed a hand on their cheeks as if to comfort them as she knew that this was hurting them inside and that was the last thing she wanted.
"But if you stay here, I won't be able to protect you two. You two need to leave." said Eda sadly.
Before Eda pulled her hands away, both Luz and Maxwell took hold of her hand.
"But we're a family! Us weirdos stick together, remember?" said Luz with tears welling up in her eyes.
"Your my girl, my true love. Eda, I can't leave you. You're the reason why I found the family that I've been searching for. You're my true love." said Maxwell shedding a tear.
Eda reached inside her thick, wooly hair and pulled out a key, she pushed one finger on the yellow eye of it and they turned to see the same door that was the portal they both came through to the Boiling Isles.
"Luz, you have a family already. Go back to them, and Maxie, go with her, her family is now part of yours. And when you're home, use your fire magic to destroy the portal door. I don't know why the Emperor wants it, but we can't take any chances." instructed Eda showing she really didn't want to do this to them.
Eda placed the necklace that the key was on over Luz's head and around her neck as they faced her, Tears trickled out of the two kids eyes as they went up to hug her one last time, knowing this might be their last time seeing each other.
"I love you, Eda." said the kids in unison.
Eda felt a tear shedding out of her eye as she hugged them.
"I love you too, kids." said Eda.
"Eda, kiss me one more time?" Maxwell suggested.
Maxwell looked up at Eda and she smiled, she leaned in to press her big, full, soft lips to Maxwell's and gave him what could be their final kiss together. Eda moaned into the kiss and they eventually pulled their lips off in a loud pop.
"You're my true love." said Maxwell.
"And you're my true love." said Eda.
After they released their arms from each other. That's when a loud siren was going off, they looked up to see a red light blinking on and off like it was a siren that prisons use when there's a prison break out in progress. They looked at each other.
"Kids, step away!" Eda instructed.
The two kids stepped back when Eda gently pushed them a couple of feet away. They saw a door from the ceiling opening up and the chains on Eda's body morphed and came off her but glowed a blue light to form into bars around her like a cage. The platform Eda was on started to go up. The two kids ran towards her to grab hold of the ledge of the platform, they really didn't want to leave her.
"No! Not yet!" the kids said desperately.
Eda shown a look of remorse, tears welling up in her eyes as she gently pushed their hands off the edge which they landed on the floor without pain since they were not too high up from it.
"I'm sorry. Goodbye my babies." said Eda sadly shedding a tear.
They saw the platform take Eda to the surface.
"Eda!" cried Luz and Maxwell.
Both of them felt their hearts breaking and started to cry but a door opened up as it turned out, Lilith walked in and she was carrying King who was struggling to get out of her hands.
"Let me go!" King demanded.
Lilith came in and saw that Eda was already at the surface and she saw the two kids grieving as she was now filled with overwhelming guilt.
"I'm too late, at least I found you, humans." said Lilith now looking surprised.
The two kids heard her voice and got up. They turned to face here with looks of rage.
"You...you hurt Eda. You put her in chains. And now, I will take you down!" said Luz sharply.
"I'LL KILL YOU!" shouted Maxwell.
The two kids charged at Lilith while King got out of her grip in time. Luz had used two drawn glyphs on her hands to clap them together and a huge gold energy wave blasted at Lilith. Lilith used her staff to form a huge blue light to deflect the attack. Luz slid behind her and Maxwell gave Lilith a few hard slaps to her face.
"Stop hitting yourself!" taunted Maxwell.
Maxwell gave Lilith a punch to her face, causing her to groan in pain.
"Mama said knock you out, bitch!" cried Maxwell.
Lilith stood there and tried to reason with them after she spat out a bit of blood.
"I just want to talk!" said Lilith showing submission on her face.
"Talk to the glyph, witch!" said Luz dismissing her.
Luz pulled out a handful of glyphs on paper and slapped them on the ground, causing a trail of rock to break a trail towards Lilith and a series of vines came out from the floor around Lilith. They bound her but she spun her staff around and broke free from it, sending the remains of the vines flying and fading like smoke.
Both Luz and Maxwell charged at her as Maxwell wrapped his arms from behind Lilith and he used his strength to make sure she could break free. Luz jumped forwards and landed in Lilith's arms, she used one hand to pull at her long hair while her other hand held onto her. This caused Lilith to walk back towards the still opened portal door.
"Stop! Stop! What is wrong with you two!" Lilith cried. "Ow, stop biting me!"
"Luz! Maxie!" called King.
The four fell through the portal door and ended up in the human realm. They fell to the ground and were outside the old house that looked abandoned for so long. They got up on the ground and both Luz and Maxwell got up as they got out their knife like weapons and held them at Lilith's throat. This had her frozen like a statue.
"Please, just listen to me!" begged Lilith with an annoyed expression.
"Give me a reason why we shouldn't kill you now!" growled Maxwell.
Maxwell snapped his fingers and a flame appeared out of his hand, a fire ball floating. Luz tried to use a spell glyph but when she tapped it, it shredded to pieces, it didn't work.
"Please." said Lilith.
"No way! You're the reason why Maxie lost his true love and why I lost one of my own. You tried to rape Maxie and lied about it, framed him to cover up your tracks. You deserve to be petrified! Not Eda!" snapped Luz.
Lilith let out a sigh and shown a remorseful look.
"You're both right. I deserve to be in Edalyn's place." said Lilith complying.
Their looks of rage turned to surprise. Their rage turned to curiosity. This was the first time they saw Lilith showing remorse. They removed their knives from her throat and put them away. Maxwell's ball of fire disappeared.
"Why did you do all this?" asked Luz curiously.
"The only way I can explain it to you is to show you." Lilith told them.
Maxwell was a bit hesitant at first but he sensed that Lilith showing remorse had to mean that she deserved some rights. King came over to them and he placed his hand on Maxwell's leg. Maxwell, Luz and Lilith held each others hands and all of their eyes shined a white light as Lilith used her magic to delve into her mind to explore her memories.
"When Edalyn and I were younger, we were, best of friends." Lilith started off.
They saw into her mind and at first, the first memory shown of two little girls, both of them being Eda and Lilith. Eda and Lilith looked like they were running in a forest area, both laughing. But Eda fell down, she got up and saw she had a cut on her right knee, she started cry from how much it hurt.
Lilith stopped and turned to see Eda was crying because she had a "Boo Boo" on her knee. She came over to her and sat in front of her, placing her hands on Eda's face, this made Eda stop crying as Lilith wiped away her tears and she placed her forehead on Eda's forehead.
"With the spell I declare that the pain be share." said Lilith.
The cut on Eda's knee suddenly had a blue puff of smoke appear and a blue puff of smoke appeared on Lilith's knee. Both of them had the same cut but they were smaller. They looked each other and smiled, Eda letting out a happy squeal.
The memory faded to black and they saw another memory of Eda and Lilith as teenagers. They both looked like they were playing with a staff with two brooms as they were looking like they were playing together. They would practice their moves but Eda shown she was doing better while Lilith tried her hand at it but dropped the broom and it hit her on the head. Eda held out her hand to help Lilith up.
"Being in the Emperor's coven was my dream. I wanted to work along side the most powerful witch on the isles and make the world a better place. Eda wanted to be with me, but there was a problem." Lilith continued.
The memory faded to black and another memory had shown them older but still teenagers. They shown to be at the grudgby field when there was a banner above the stands that read "Hexside Field Day" while there was another banner on a small platform on the right of the field that read "Emperor's Coven" it looked like they had people there who were going to compete for a spot in the covens they were competing in.
Both Eda and Lilith stood at the spot where the Emperor's Coven banner was at. They looked at a thin male guard that looked back at them.
"One spot its abiliable, you duel tomorrow, the winner will join our ranks." the guard told them.
The two looked worried and Lilith walked off, looking disappointed as Eda tried to get her attention but Lilith ignored her.
"I knew Edalyn would beat me, she was younger, but worked twice as hard. She met me at my level." Lilith kept going.
The memory faded to black and another memory shown that Lilith was at the night market. She found a scroll that got her attention when she was rummaging around a trunk in an alleyway. She looked like she had an expression of shocked guilt.
"Emperor Belos always said "To be great, you have to do sacrifices", what would he do in my situation? I found a spell that would take away here powers." Lilith told them.
The memory faded to black and it shown Lilith now going into Eda's room while she was asleep. She walked in and held the scroll out as if to prepare for the curse to be placed on Eda.
"I though it would just be for a day." said Lilith.
The memory faded away and shown them at the grudgby field on Hexside Field Day. They had people in the stands watching them, both of them looked like they were getting ready to battle each other in a witch's duel. Lilith was the first to charge at Eda with a glowing blue hand but Eda shown a serious look on her face as she didn't prepare to fight back.
"No!" cried Eda.
Lilith stopped in her tracks and her hand wasn't glowing anymore. She saw that Eda wasn't going to fight back.
"No! I refuse to battle my sister!" Eda said loud enough for all to hear.
Lilith was in shock and wide eyed as Eda walked over to her to submit to her.
"I've decided that covens aren't really my style." said Eda to her sister. "Hey don't forget me when you're big shot, sis."
Eda gently nudged Lilith's chin and walked off.
"And as Edalyn walked away." Lilith continued.
Once Eda was at a far enough distance, she grunted in pain as she stopped and she had turned into the said owl beast form as gold feathers formed around her, more thicker fur grew on her and she let out a loud scream as she was fully turned into the beast like owl form. Her eyes were fully gray. She looked at everyone and let out a beast like whinny.
Many of the guards there and the crowd began to panic as the guards were throwing rocks at her. Lilith was shocked at the sight.
"That girl is a monster!" said one of the people.
"Get out! GO!" scolded another person.
Eda saw more of them throwing rocks at her and she let out a loud growl and ran off, disappearing into the distance. Lilith was overcome with grief.
"Edalyn!" Lilith cried.
A guard took hold of Lilith's arm and raised it up.
"Lilith Clawthrone, We welcome you to the Emperor's coven!" said one of the guards.
Everyone there applauded and cheered for her victory but Lilith didn't feel good about how she won or what she did. The memory faded to black and suddenly, all of them had their vision come back to them and their eyes were no longer white but back to their original color. They removed their hands from one another as Lilith shown them a depressed expression.
"I made my sacrifice for the emperor, and it was time to receive my reward. I've been pursuing Edalyn because if she joined in the Emperor's coven, Emperor Belos told me he would heal her curse, but he lied to me. He also wanted Mr. Logan to extract his power from him and take it for himself to become stronger since an unidentified male witch stolen a magic enhancer from the castle and even though we don't know his name, I knew he was going to try and stop the Emperor in what he was planning. But when Mr. Logan's father came into the situation, well, the only way he got into the Boiling Isles, the demon realm, well, I found him wandering around somewhere and he was being guilty of vandalism when he almost set fire to a building. He thought his son was hiding in there but I knocked him out and brought him to a cell in the conformatorium. Me and him tried to work together in capturing even your male human friend, but I hated having anything to do with his father because to be honest, he swears a lot, drinks and smokes a lot, he's kind of racist and he's shown me that everything about him is pure evil. Now I see why Mr. Logan ran from him and was a scared a little boy, desperate for help when his father hurt him for years. I didn't make it any easier when I mistaken him for someone I liked but than found out he was in disguise, hiding, I blamed him for my actions to cover up my tracks because I didn't want Emperor to blame me for a mistake like that, even though I am to blame and your friend is innocent, if the Emperor ever found out that I was sexually involved with a human, I'd be stripped of my ranks, banished and stigmatized and he'd make sure I was seen as a whore. His father must have found his way to the Boiling Isles when his son ran through the portal. And I truly am sorry." Lilith told them revealing more. "I know how to rescue Edalyn, but i can't do it alone."
They gave Lilith a distrustful expression as if sensing she was up to something.
"How do I know we can trust you?" said Luz looking at her.
"What Luz said." Maxwell chimed in.
Lilith let out a sigh and drew a blue circle into the air and spread her arms out, than folded her arms as the blue circle disappeared in a flashing hiss and Eda's staff appeared out of thin air. She handed Luz the staff and Owlbert. Luz took the staff and Owlbert as the owl palisman woke from his dormant state. He nuzzled Luz's cheek while Maxwell gently rubbed his finger on his head.
"Welcome back, Owlbert." said Maxwell relieved.
"Owlbert! you're ok." said Luz happily.
Owlbert let out a few happy hoots and smiled. They all got up to their feet and Luz placed Owlbert on her right shoulder, holding onto the staff. They gave Lilith a stern look.
"Alright Lilith, I don't like your whole deal." said Luz making a circle with her finger. "But...we need your help to save Eda."
"I may not like you Lilith for what you did to me, Eda and Luz and my friends, but I agree with Luz. We can talk more about this later. Even I need your help to get my true love back." said Maxwell in agreement.
Luz shown Lilith the key that Eda used for the portal and Lilith shown some relief in them showing her mercy.
"Thank you. Now lets head back and I'll try to be more accepting towards Mr. Lo-I mean Maxwell, for how he and my sister are together when we save her." said Lilith. "Your little furry friend here, nothing holding you back?"
"Not a thing." said King.
They all walked towards the portal door and both Luz and Maxwell stopped, looking back at the human world they're from when some leaves got blown into the wind. King saw that they looked into the distance.
"Hey guys... you need a minute?" called King.
The two human teenagers let out a sigh and walked over towards the portal.
"No, we're coming." answered Luz.
"Lets go save my wife- I mean my girl friend. I definitely meant girl friend." said Maxwell correcting himself as he blushed.
"Oh Maxie, you!" said Luz giggling.
They walked into the portal and went back into the demon realm. They were going to save Eda. But one thing was on Maxwell's mind. Did he just refer to Eda as his wife?
