Back at the Conformatorium. The audience of people were about to witness Eda's petrification soon as they were at the Emperor's castle. Willow, Gus and Amity stood there, looking worried like the rest of the crowd as they didn't find Luz or Maxwell anywhere.
"I don't see Luz or Maxie anywhere." said Willow worried.
"I didn't find them anywhere ether." said Amity looking worried.
"Do you think they got caught?" said Gus also worried.
They all noticed an alarm went off and they saw the cage that Eda was in risen up on top of the stage where the process of petrification would begin. Gus's father shown up as he took looked visibly shaken at the sight that everyone was about to see. Kikimora was next to the cage Eda was in.
"Well folks. Eda the owl lady have appear on stage, which means the petrification process is about to begin." said Gus's father through a microphone worriedly.
Kikimora walked to the side where there was four levers. She pulled one of them and nearby, shown the top of the stage open up where a statue rose up. The statue shown what looked like three women who were begging, on their knees with a sorrowful expression. It looked like the process was about to start but something stopped them for a bit. Eda looked really worried at this point.
Somewhere in the castle, a deeper part of the castle as Lilith lead both Luz, Maxwell and King towards a stone platform that was shaped like a circle.
"You can take this up to the stage where they're holding Edalyn." Lilith told them.
"Thank you, Lilith. What would you do know?" asked Luz curiously.
"Lilith, you can run with us. I don't trust the Emperor will show you mercy. You can run from this with us." Maxwell offered.
"Thank you but I will stay in the Emperor's coven, but I'll make sure nothing like this ever happen again." said Lilith making a promise.
"That's good to hear." said Luz with a grin.
Her grin faded as she looked at the platform and she felt like something wasn't right at first. Maxwell was on his toes and he too felt the same as Luz.
"Wait, why are there no guards around?" asked Luz curiously.
"This place would've been crawling with them. I still have some of my magical clones out there but I don't know if they've been taken down or not." said Maxwell as he was worried.
They heard what sounded like a gust of air and a red vine snaked it's way towards Lilith and wrapped around her feet like a snare trap. She screamed a bit from being lifted up into the air. They looked on in shock.
"Lilith!" cried Luz.
Another red vine went for them but wrapped around King, pulling him away.
"King!" cried Maxwell.
They both saw Lilith and King being held into the air by the magical red vines and held into the air. Fire from two spots nearby lit up and illuminated the room. There, they saw the Emperor sitting on his throne. They looked like they were in his throne room.
"Ah Lilith, you chose the wrong side." said the Emperor sounding disappointed.
The vines binding Lilith and King were pulling them up into the darkness while Luz and Maxwell tried to stop him.
"No!" cried the human teenagers.
Some red vines nearby came out and wrapped around Luz and Maxwell's ankles, they were really strong and kept them where they stood. The Emperor let out a brief laugh.
"I'd like to have a word with you humans." said the Emperor.
The two teenagers looked up at the Emperor is rage.
Meanwhile, outside at the Emperor's castle
Two guards tossed Lilith and King into the cage with Eda. They were about to join Eda as she looked at Lilith with rage. Lilith looked at her as she had that same blank look on her face.
"Hello Edalyn." said Luz sadly.
"Lilith, you hurt Luz, you hurt Maxie. You made them cry. You cursed me, before anything turns me to stone, I'll tear you apart!" said Eda raising a clawed hand.
She was about to attack Lilith, her sister shielded herself with her hands and arms but King got in the way to stop her.
"No, don't!" King told her.
Eda let out a gasp as she stopped. She placed her clawed hand down.
"She was trying to help! She even betrayed the Emperor for you!" said King appealing to Eda's mercy for Lilith.
This left Eda wide eyed as she was in disbelief.
"What?" said Eda shocked.
"If I knew something like this would happen. Edalyn...I." said Lilith at first.
They were what sounded like a whirl of wind from nearby and they turned to see the petrification statue had it's eyes glowing a bright yellow light. In the crowd, both Willow, Gus and Amity gotten an idea in mind as they had to do something.
"As a shocking turn of events. Head coven leader Lilith is now in the holding cage, escorted by what appears to be a deranged cat." Gus's father spoke.
He was interrupted by his son Gus without warning. The father and son faced each other.
"Augustus, I'm live." his father said in hushed tone.
"Dad, you have to stop." Gus told him.
Willow took the microphone from Gus's father to speak into it.
"Yeah, what's happening to Eda isn't right. She might not always follow the rules but she hasn't done anything worthy of petrification." said Willow speaking into the microphone.
Everyone was hearing this and many of them smiled at what Willow said.
"She helped me escape jail." said a large male demon with five eyes.
"She helped me stay in business." came Morton.
"She helped me love teaching again...after she left. I might not agree with her but she doesn't deserve this to happen to her." said Principle Bump.
Everyone showed they agreed as they shown anger towards the guards.
"The Emperor should let Eda go." said Willow raising a fist.
Everyone started to raise a fist in the air and chanted "Let Eda Go" as a form of protest. Without warning, they heard a loud lion like roar from out of nowhere and a tall male jumped over the chanting crowd and to the front of the crowd. It looked like it was Maxwell but his eyes were glowing gold, a gold energy shined around his body, he had fangs from his teeth and claws on his hands but his ears were pointy as it looked like he was at full power. His blonde hair was longer, going down to his butt as he let out his loudest, most mighty lion like roar.
"And she's helped me find the family I've been searching for and she's my true love!" shouted Maxwell.
Everyone saw this and heard what Maxwell said. He just admitted out loud that Eda is his true love. Many people were shocked but somehow quickly understood his feelings. Eda could hear them but she also heard Maxwell.
"Yes! That's right, I, Maxwell Logan, the human. I'm in love with Edalyn Clawthorne! There, I've said it! Eda! I love you, in the name of the lord, I want to be yours forever!" shouted Maxwell out loud. "The Emperor has been lying to us all. And I'm not letting him take away my true love! If the Emperor can hear this, he's a dead man when I get my hands on him. I stand by the power of the Mighty One and I'm going after him!"
Eda could hear this as she grinned, shedding a tear about what Maxwell said out loud with all to hear.
"Let Eda go!" cried Maxwell.
"Let Eda go! Let Eda go! Let Eda go!"
Somewhere deep in the castle
Luz and Maxwell, or possibly another clone as Maxwell shown he was literally in two places at once. Both of them two humans looked at the Emperor with a look of anger.
"Let my friends go or else!" Luz threatened.
"Nani mo hontÅ no ai o tomeru koto wa dekimasen!" cried Maxwell.
Luz stamped Eda's staff on the floor and the owl palisman spread it's wings while the eyes glowed and it pulled Luz out from the red vines grip while Maxwell used an impressive amount of strength to pull himself out of the vines grip. Luz did a flip in the air and landed on her feet, stamping the staff into the floor while Maxwell stomped his foot into the floor, both of them saw ice pillars coming out of the floor from where they stood and it went towards the Emperor. The pillars stopped right as one of them was close to getting the Emperor in his eye.
"Okay." said the Emperor.
The Emperor suddenly looking like he was literally melting like ice and this got both Luz and Maxwell trying to be on their toes. But it wasn't long till the Emperor reappeared from behind them.
"I'll play." said the Emperor.
They turned to face the Emperor as he was about to do a spell on them but Maxwell was quick as he snapped his fingers and cancelled out the Emperor's attempt to use magic to harm them. This left the Emperor surprised.
"What!" said the Emperor shocked.
"Don't you know it's impolite to lay your hands on a lady." said Maxwell with a smug grin.
The Emperor tried to use more of his magic to attack them. His finger glowed a red light as he tried to make a huge golden axe fall on them but Maxwell grabbed Luz and pulled both of them out of the axe's path. He tried to use an assortment of other magic by having rock pillars try to stab them but the two dodged them and used fire magic to destroy the rock pillars. Red vines tried to grab them but Maxwell teleported both him and Luz away from them and reappeared in a different spot as both of them used ice magic to stop the vines.
"You're not going to lay a hand on her!" cried Maxwell.
Emperor Belos kept using more of his magic to attack them. He tried to use more movable rock to trip them but they jumped up into the air while Luz flew on Eda's staff and Maxwell muttered a spell that made him grow huge, white wings that made him look like he had angel's wings. Luz was going to use magic from a glyph she drew on paper while Maxwell formed fire from his hand but the Emperor formed a huge, green skinned, giant demonic worm and had go for them. Luz let out a frightened scream but just as they were about to go in it's mouth. The fire magic the two humans used caused the demonic worm to explode into nothing but pieces of dirt. They both landed on the ground afterwards. Maxwell's wings disappeared after they landed.
"What's wrong, humans. I thought you wanted to fight!" came the Emperor's voice through their minds.
They looked around one corner and saw a shadow flash by them but than red vines from the floor grabbed both of them and held them to the floor while they were forced to knelt down. The Emperor reappeared in front of them.
"Had enough?" said the Emperor.
The two humans smiled as if they had an idea.
"Not even close." said Luz.
"Eat this!" said Maxwell sharply.
Luz pulled out another paper with a blue glyph glowing from it and both Luz and Maxwell tapped it once, making ice pillars form towards the Emperor and it looked like it stabbed him near his eye, cracking his mask as two pieces of it came off his mask. The two pieces fell to the ground near Luz and Maxwell.
"Fuck you, Emperor Yellow Belly!" Maxwell shot.
They saw him sigh in pain but than heard him laugh a bit. He turned to face them as he shown that his mask had cracks in from the right side. They saw his right eye was glowing blue.
"I'll admit, I like your spirits. The girl is spunky and the boy is proving to be quite the warrior. But try something like that again and things won't end well for both of you." said the Emperor warning them.
The red vines retracted and freed them both. The Emperor walked closer to them but stopped.
"Now I'm just a humble messenger to the titan. In the grand scheme of things, the owl lady's life is inconsequential." the Emperor told them. "But than you two showed up. Lilith lied to me about her actions with Maxwell, which is filthy in nature, and a human falling in love with the owl lady and her falling in love with him back, it's unspeakable. If you want to save your mentor and if the young man wants to save his wild witch lover. Give me the portal to the human realm."
They both got up and knew that what the Emperor told them wasn't going to sound good. Maxwell could tell from what little he saw in the mind of the Emperor.
"But, our home!" said Luz and Maxwell stunned.
"You probably think I want to invade the human realm but the titan's will is not so 'll both understand soon." said the Emperor.
Maxwell felt like his red alert senses were blaring in his heart as he sensed something bad was now happening to Eda, he could feel it in his heart.
"Tick tock, humans. The owl lady doesn't have much time left." said the Emperor.
They heard Eda making loud shrieks and screeches of pain. This sent dread to them both.
"My love!" said Maxwell shakily.
"No!" said Luz begging.
As they heard this sound, they shed a tear and Luz got out the key to the portal and they submitted.
"Fine!" said Luz shedding a tear.
She pushed the yellow button on the key and the portal to the human realm came from a yellow light that shined from the floor, it flew up and was in the form of a suitcase. She grabbed hold of the suitcase and the key as they got up with Luz muttering a Spanish phrase sadly. She gave the Emperor the key and the suitcase.
"Take it, it's yours." said Luz handing it to him.
"The titan will be pleased." said the Emperor taking the key and suitcase.
Both Luz and Maxwell turned to step up on the stone platform and the Emperor stamped his staff on the ground once. Causing it to raise them up towards the surface.
"Go on, than. Go be heroes." said the Emperor tauntingly.
"We may have lost but so have you." said Luz getting ready to use the staff.
She stamped the staff once and the Emperor looked down at the suitcase, it had three fire magic glyphs on them and they exploded, destroying the key and the portal to the human realm. The Emperor looked at it get destroyed to pieces and looked back at Luz and Maxwell.
"Hey Emperor, say hello to devil for me." said Maxwell.
Maxwell quickly formed his hand into a gun and pulled his thumb down.
"Spirit bullet!" cried Maxwell.
What sounded like a gun firing had made a loud bang and a blue little energy ball shot towards the Emperor, shooting him in his leg. The caused the Emperor to scream in agony, falling to the floor.
"Ahhhhh, damn it!" the Emperor shouted in pain.
The stone platform took Luz and Maxwell up to the top of the stage where Eda, King and Lilith were at. Luz tossed another paper, this time, it had a green glyph on it while Maxwell snapped his fingers and shot a green ball of light at the petrification statue. The glyph and the green ball of light erupted into huge green vines that wrapped around the entire petrification machine, stopping it from working. Maxwell snapped his fingers again and the last magical clone that shown him at full power disappeared in a puff of gold smoke. They heard Eda screech in pain as both Luz and Maxwell turned to go help Eda, King and Lilith.
"What do we do!" said King looking to Lilith for an answer.
"Spell wasn't completed. Maybe I can help her fight it." said Lilith placing her hands on Eda.
Lilith used her magic to make Eda's body glow while Kikimora looked on in shock.
"No! What's happening?" said Kikimora in a panic.
Luz came at Kikimora with a fire ball in her hand from the spell glyph in her hand while Maxwell had fire forming from his right fist. Kikimora saw them and was showing fear.
"Free them! Now!" Luz told her.
"Or else I'll drop you where stand!" said Maxwell threatening her.
Kikimora quickly complied as she drew a purple spell circle in the air and it caused the cage that Eda, Lilith and King were in to disappear. Both the two humans ran towards Eda as the stones around her body were disappearing and her body was turning into flesh, blood and bone again. She opened her eyes and awoke as she got up.
"Eda, you okay?" asked Luz hopefully.
"As good as I'll ever be." Eda told them.
They all looked around and saw the guards were starting to surround them. Eda and Maxwell had an idea that popped into their heads.
"Let's fly!" instructed Eda.
"I got a better idea!" said Maxwell. "Hang on to Eda!"
They all quickly obeyed and both Lilith, Luz, King and Maxwell placed a hand on Eda while they disappeared in a puff of gold smoke. The crowd that saw this cheered for Eda, Luz, King, Lilith and Maxwell. Kikimora looked on in anger but heard foot steps, she turned to see Emperor Belos with his mask cracked and his leg having a cast around it with a splint. There was blood stains on the casts bandages.
"My liege!" said Kikimora wide eyed.
The Emperor limped his way to the front of the stage to face the crowd.
"Children of the isles! The titan has told me to spare the owl lady's life. In return, her curse will strip away all her powers. Let her monstrous form be a lesson about the dangers of wild magic!" the Emperor told the frightened crowd.
Back at the Owl House
Maxwell teleported them back to the Owl House and Eda collapsed on the ground, painting and in pain. Luz and Maxwell came to her side.
"Don't worry, Eda, we'll run and get you some elixir and-" Luz said frantically.
"Hang on, Eda, please!" said Maxwell becoming frantic.
Lilith placed a hand on their shoulders with a grim look.
"Sorry, humans. No amount of elixir can heal her now." said Lilith grimly.
Both Luz, Maxwell and King looked at Eda with desperate, frantic looks while they saw Lilith come to her side.
"Oh sister." said Lilith.
She placed her hands on Eda's cheeks as Eda looked back at her.
"I should've done this a long time ago." said Lilith.
Lilith placed her forehead to Eda's forehead.
"With this spell I declared, let the pain be shared." said Lilith.
What happened next was probably a huge miracle. A huge blue light had glowed around the area and it shown both Eda and Lilith flying up into the air with the blue light glowing around their bodies. Than another blue light flashed around both of them as Eda was transforming back to herself, her transformation back to herself was like seeing a person whose body was covered in scars have his scars disappear rapidly. The two witches floated down to the ground and opened their eyes as Luz, King and Maxwell looked to see that Eda was back. Eda had a gray eye to her left while Lilith had a gray eye to her right.
"Eda!" came Luz and Maxwell's voices.
Eda let out a happy chuckle as both Luz, King and Maxwell came to her by a run. Eda embraced them as they embraced her. Maxwell was on the verge of crying happily as he saw that his true love is back. They released their arms from each other afterwards.
"Can you still do magic?" asked Luz.
Eda tried to see if she could still do magic by tracing a gold circle in the air but it crumbled like rock and proved she couldn't.
"That's a no." said Eda sadly. "It's going to take some time to get used to this."
"I feel that I've been weakened as well." said Lilith guessing she too was affected.
Luz pulled out a paper that had a spell glyph on it and placed it in Eda's hand.
"It's okay. I can teach you what I know and what we don't know, we can learn together." Luz advised kindly.
Eda tapped her hand on the spell glyph and it formed into a ball of yellow light, floating up into the air. They all smiled as they figured this could be some good news to them.
"Thanks kid, I'll look forward to that." said Eda rubbing Luz's head and hugging her in a one armed hug.
They heard that Maxwell was sniffling and they turned to see him on the verge of tears. They had sympathetic expressions and Eda pulled him in a hug too while Maxwell hugged Eda while shedding tears.
"He's weeping, is he feeling alright?" asked Lilith looking worried.
"I thought I lost you." said Maxwell shakily. "I can't hold back. I created more magical clones of myself because I knew something was bad was going to happen, forgive me if my clones were with you and not the real me. I never meant to abandoned anyone or leave them in danger, I was planning on how to rescue Eda and help Luz and to try and stop the Emperor."
Maxwell was weeping as he was babbling about what he planned to do to help them when he didn't tell them about it at first. They could see it really bothered him which they were feeling forgiving towards him.
"Forgive me, I never meant to have my clones be at your sides when the real me should've been their with you. I never meant it to sound cowardly or selfish of me. I only did it to try and stop the Emperor from hurting any of you." said Maxwell with a heavy breath.
"Maxie, it's alright. Calm yourself, it's alright." said Luz attempting to comfort him.
Maxwell looked up at them as they were showing their sympathetic looks to him. Eda used one of her hands to wipe away his tears.
"But I." said Maxwell slowly calming himself.
"Maxie, I know you were just planning a way to rescue me and to help Luz with the way you did your part. You, King and Luz shown to have mad skills when you did what you did for me. Luz proved that she can do the impossible, King proved to be quite daring with his part and you proved to me that your mind is your most dangerous weapon. You shouldn't be ashamed of anything. The three of you proved that your capable of doing what's impossible." said Eda also attempting to console him.
Hearing their words and seeing how forgiving they were to him had his guilty melt away and turn into relief. Luz and King felt touched by Eda's words as they knew she was right about what all three of them proven. Eda suddenly smiled and gave Maxwell a flirtatious look with her eyes, causing Maxwell to blush deeply as he knew what Eda was telling him with that look.
"I think someone wants a kiss." said Luz chuckling.
"Come to mama." said Eda huskily.
Eda pulled Maxwell in closer and she planted her soft lips to Maxwell's lips in a deep kiss. He closed his eyes as he kissed Eda back. The two kissed each other as they felt the passion of their relationship spark up like fireworks. He felt a sense of comfort pouring into him from how Eda was kissing him and how he kissed her back. They eventually pulled their lips off each other in a loud pop. They heard a hiccup coming from Lilith as they all turned to her. Lilith was blushing at what she saw and she tried to not feel awkward.
"I'm probably going to take some time in getting used to the fact that Eda and Mr. Logan, I mean Maxwell, are, you know, together. That'll probably mean I'm going to have to get used to them actually kissing each other." said Lilith.
"Well Lilith, you're going to be living a new life style now that your on our side. It took Luz some time to adjust to things around here and it was the same for Maxie." said Eda reassuring her. "Besides, at least you won't be alone."
"True." said Lilith feeling some consolation.
They all looked up in the sky and eventually went inside the Owl House to rest. Luz was having out her phone and looked like she was filming herself on camera.
"And that's how we escaped from the Emperor. Everyone told me he was the most powerful witch alive but look at this mom." said Luz as she pulled out a piece of the Emperor's mask that she cracked off him. "Me and Maxie chipped off a piece of his mask. We know he's not invincible now."
Luz paused as she had her smile turn to concern on her video camera phone.
"It's a strange feeling having gone through so much and not having you here to share it with. Maxie fell in love with Eda and he's a total gentlemen. He's a really a nice boy to us and everyone. But I don't know how or when I'll see you again." said Luz pausing.
She looked at a picture frame of her and her mother, than looked at the window that had a lit candle and some balls of light were outside her window.
"But I will find my way home to you. Maybe you can meet Eda, Lilith, King, Maxie and my friends one day. I promise. Deja una luz puesta para mi, te quiero." said Luz finally.
She turned off her phone and tapped the ball of light in her room to have it go out while she went to sleep and the balls of light outside her window flew away in opposite directions.
Little did anyone know. Back at the Emperor's castle. The Emperor stood somewhere while it looked like he was healing from his leg wound that Maxwell inflicted on him. He had his guards hard at work. Kikimora was walking to him from the stairs behind him.
"Sire, those miscreants are still at large. Please, allow me to capture them." Kikimora began.
"Worry not, Kiki." said the Emperor facing her. "We'll be keeping an eye on the inhabitants of the Owl House."
Kikimora fell silent and was surprised at what he told her. The Emperor turned his head to face a guard, nodding to him and the guard nodded back, leaving the room to do his next duty.
"In the meantime, the day of unity if almost upon us. And we have much work to do." said the Emperor.
Both the Emperor and Kikimora saw some guards working on a machine that the guards were reconstructing technological features on it. It looked like it was showing the same huge yellow eye that the key to the portal had in the center. It looked similar to the portal that lead to the human realm. This meant that the magic door wasn't completely broken. They were planning something unknown.
