Hey sorry guys, been feeling kind of depressed lately and I was a little busy so I couldn't update last week. But I'm better now so enjoy!

Warning: Its short, written in my bad grammar and style. Language. The character aren't exactly in character, I apologise but I tried my best. (well Cole is suppose to be out of character for now)

Chap 3: Traitor

"Possession?" Zane suggested the only logical option left.

Having nothing better to do, the ninja started guessing why their brother had turn against them. There's just no way Cole would do this willingly!

"That must be it!" Jay agreed immediately, followed by the rest

"Yeah, but when did an Oni get hold of Cole?" Nya inquired out loud, plunging the room into a couple of thoughtful silence

"THE FALL!" They all exclaimed at the same time.

"He was acting odd"

"I did find it strange that he sustained no injury from such fall"

"Indeed, judging from the height and the position Cole fell, he would have sustained at the very least, a fracture spine. It was a miracle he returned unscathed"

P.I.X.A.L's analysis was a reminder of how much they've overlook when it comes to their raven brother. They all wince internally.

"In any case, we need to get out of here and-" Lloyd was interrupted by a very, very familiar voice.

"And nothing" It said while the heavy footsteps came louder "Since you won't get out if here"

Standing proudly in the centre, at the sight of everyone, was Cole with a dark grin plastered on his face. It was a shocking contrast to their raven's kind bright smile. This evil Cole looked like a completely different person!

"I made this place with my bare hands and I know that as long as you guys remain separated, you -" "SHUT UP!!"

Kai yelled furiously, effectively interrupting the earth ninja who rewarded the brunette with a death glare of his own.

"Give us Cole back!" The red ninja demanded, even growled at the raven whose glare lessen and turned more into a confused stare

"What?"

"You heard me! Give. Cole. Back!" Each words of the last sentence (order) was accentuated. Unfortunately, the black wearing teenager remained lost

"What is he talking about?" Cole asked looking around to the other ninja. It was Nya who respond

"You know what he means, Oni!" Nya snapped but Cole only shook his head and answered with a deadpan "No, I really don't"

"Quite playing dumb, Oni!"

"Oni?" And it finally dawned onto Cole what they were saying. He let out a chuckle which evolved into full blown laughter. It was the ninja's turn to be confuse

"Umm guys? He's creeping me out" Jay admitted glancing at the wall around him to avoid looking at the clearly deranged teen.

"Heheh, sorry sorry!" The earth master said trying to catch his breath. After that was done, he straightened up and asked "What makes you think I'm possessed?"

"Well," Lloyd started "Our Cole would never do that on his own free will"

The raven raised an eyebrow "Your Cole?"

"Yeah!" Kai joined in "The Cole we know would never hurt anyone without a reason!"

"You're right" Cole agreed surprising everyone "I wouldn't hurt anyone without a reason, but I have a very good reason" The ninja waited anxiously.

"Power" Cole finally said, earning confuse stare from everyone present. Cole grinned and he explained further.

"The leader, Osore, had given me lots of power. Didn't you see how I kicked your asses back then? I'm more powerful than all of you! And you what's best, I'm second in command of the Oni Army"

The ninja were speechless, Cole was telling them all this so proudly. It's like he's announcing them that he beaten all of their score in all video games.

"That can't be! You're not Cole!" Kai yelled and was suddenly propelled forward (the whole wall behind him moved) until he was painfully pressed into the vengstone bars

"Look at me Kai and tell me, do I look possessed to you?" The raven asked, standing right infront of Kai. The brunette examined his brother, like a scientist would with a new bacteria, but true to his words, Cole did not look possessed. His skin wasn't any darker nor his eyes purple. There was nothing in him that was alike to an Oni. Defeated Kai mumbled a soft no and he was dragged back (painfully) to his original place.

"Anyway guys, don't worry. You guys can go afterwards. I just really don't need you messing everything up, okay?" He said softly and oh so kindly it hurts, and Cole was walking away, disappearing in the dark hallway.

However, since his back was turned, the ninja never noticed the tears filled eyes of the raven, nor the clumsiness of his steps and for once, Cole was grateful for his naturally broken voice, as he's sure his voice had cracked several times.

When the earth master finally passed the heavy doors, he was greeted with Osore who smile at him.

"Nice job" He whispered and it tool all Cole's will power to not break down right here and now.
