A/N: So essentially, this is going to be a three-part Oneshot featuring three different pairings that all form a complex love triangle.
Will and Nico break off their relationship. So, now that they're apart, what happens when a newcomer steps into the ring?
There was no love. No joy anymore.
The initial spark was gone, in fact, it'd been reduced to a black hole. One that sucked up every bit of fun and excitement their relationship had had. They'd fight over small, menial things and it was exhausting.
Will felt trapped. Nico was the first boyfriend he'd had and he didn't want to ruin this relationship, but he just felt so unhappy. He did what he had to do.
There were tears, there was a slamming door, and there was the lingering feeling of betrayal and dejection. But it was all just a big blur now. Will sobbed. He had no one to comfort him now, and he just broke things off with the one person who would have. But it had to be done. Right?
…
Dawn rolled in, and a new day began. Nico woke up grim, recalling what'd happened last night with Will. He sighed. He wanted to tell himself he was fine, he wanted to tell everyone else he was fine. So that's what he'd do. Just hide the pain, like he always had.
But anyone could see the lifelessness in his eyes, even if he was a child of Hades. He got dressed, brushed his teeth, the usual routine albeit more slow and detached.
He opened his door and shielded his eyes from the morning sun pouring in. He gave his eyes a minute to adjust to the brightness, and he walked over to the dining hall for breakfast. He didn't dare glance at the Apollo cabin as he passed by.
Walking past the rows of tables filled with young demigods, he made his way towards the Hades table. Every table was essentially the same, just a regular table with a white tablecloth that had been decorated with purple trim. However, it was forbidden for demigods to sit anywhere but at the table dedicated to their godly parent. Will, of course, came up with this silly medical excuse that allowed Nico to sit at the Apollo table with him. Obviously, wasn't going to do that anymore so he just dryly chuckled at that silly, stupid memory and slumped down into his own seat, alone.
He didn't feel like eating. Usually, Will would get on his case about that, but not now. Nico sat in solitude. He then made the mistake of looking up at everyone else, he saw a few people staring at him with curious eyes. Surely something was wrong, they must have thought, Nico always sat by Will. His eyes wandered over to the Apollo table by accident, he watched as Will was comforted by his cabinmates as if he were the one who had gotten his heart demolished and destroyed by Nico. Nico wondered how hard he would have to smack his head against the table in order to die a quick, painless death.
He mentally reviewed his itinerary for today. He remembered that it was Friday, meaning they'd be playing Capture The Flag after dinner. Oh, joy, he thought, Another thing I have to do without Will.
Nico spent the rest of his day not making eye contact with anyone, insisting he was fine whenever somebody asked him how he was doing, and he just pushed through all his chores as well as his Greek and sword fighting lessons. It was like a vicious repetition of events every time he sat at that dining pavilion. At lunch, every feeling of anger and resentment came back to its fullest whenever he looked over at that Apollo table. Same thing at dinner. He could not believe Will had the insolence to just leave him alone like that, to make him watch him get comforted by his cabinmates when he had no one. Honestly, I never know what's going on inside his big stupid head— Oh gods he's looking right at me. Nico immediately looked away as soon as Will glanced in his direction, Gods I must look so pathetic right now.
Time seemed to slow down and speed up at random intervals to Nico. Right now it seemed like he'd been sitting in silence for 50 years, but before he knew it he was gearing up for Capture The Flag. He strapped on his breastplate and secured his Stygian iron sword to his side as he gathered into a small opening in the forest with the rest of the cabins on his team. The selected team captain, Connor Stoll, who was also the head of the Hermes cabin stood up in front of everybody to announce his strategy.
"...alright, so on offense we will be splitting up into multiple groups of two…"
A few kids cheered and high-fived their best friends before Connor continued.
"...which will be decided by me,"
The same kids groaned in complaint before letting Connor finish.
He glanced at the clipboard in his hand, which had a pad of loose-leaf paper with a bunch of scribbles that filled up the top sheet. He rattled off a few names on the list as people that were called found their assigned partner. Most of them didn't seem very enthusiastic. He continued anyway.
"Will Solace and Nico di Angelo,"
Nico's stomach sank beneath the earth. He might have fled the camp in embarrassment if Will hadn't walked up and whispered something in Connor's ear. Connor's face turned red as he corrected himself.
"Uh— Change of plans, Will Solace and Cecil Markowitz,"
Nico sighed in relief. He stared at the dark grass beneath his feet for a while, bored, until he heard his name called.
"Nico di Angelo and uh, Sam Onassis… and that concludes offense—"
"Wait, what?" A Hermes boy called out, pulling his helmet off and letting his wavy dark brown hair fall over his forehead. "I thought I was going to be alone? That's kind of like my thing?".
"Oh…" Connor said looking at his clipboard and frowning. "That sucks. But we have an even number now that Lou Ellen is out in the infirmary,".
"She doesn't even play on offen— Oh just forget it," Sam rolled his eyes, then glanced warily at Nico.
Nico wasn't sure what to think. Hermes kids were pretty much all pranksters and thieves, and he knew very little about Sam Onassis. As far as he knew, Sam usually kept to his own devices and didn't really talk to other people much. That reminded Nico a little of himself and how he'd been around others before he'd met Will. Sam was slightly taller than Nico, with wavy medium-length brown hair and green eyes— not like Percy Jackson's sea-green eyes, mind you. Sam's eyes had a sort of gray and dullness to them, making him appear empty and dead inside. Nico could relate to that.
Honestly, it was better than being paired up with someone he knew. The last thing he wanted to do was talk about his breakup. Sam weaved through his cabinmates and several other demigods, occasionally bumping into someone as he made his way over to Nico's side. Nico stared at him with a blank expression. Sam tilted his head and outstretched his hand to the shorter boy in front of him.
"Hi, I'm Sam Onassis," He said nonchalantly as Nico gingerly gripped and shook his outstretched hand. He seemed friendly enough. Nico gave him a slight smile, "I'm Nico… Nico di Angelo,".
They listened to the rest of their instructions and strategy info from Connor and everyone charged off to their positions. Sam headed forward, moving directly to the opposing team's base on the opposite side of the forest, and motioned for Nico to follow. Neither really said anything to each other, which didn't seem to bother Sam. Nico followed him in silence, the only noises he heard being the occasional gusts of wind and a few twigs that snapped under his feet. Every single twist and turn they took in the still forest became hazy in Nico's mind and eventually every area they walked in to just looked the same without any discernable differences. He wondered how long they'd have to keep walking before he'd lose his mind.
"Do you even know where we're going?" Nico asked, annoyed, breaking the silence. Sam turned his head towards Nico, "I know what I'm doing," he huffed arrogantly and kept trekking forwards. Nico rolled his eyes, but then stopped suddenly, "Do you hear that?". Sam looked around, he noticed how dark the sky had gotten and suddenly he felt uneasy being in the eerie, foggy forest. But he didn't hear anything. "Nico, I don't think—" He stopped abruptly as he heard a rustle come from a bush on his right. He saw a figure in combat armor charge towards them, wielding a small sword. Instinctively, Sam quickly unsheathed his sword and bashed the incoming demigod in the forehead with the hilt in one swift motion.
Nico watched the poor Hephaestus kid tumble onto the ground, unconscious, but still alive. He'd seen shocking things before, most he'd dare not say, but he was extremely surprised since Sam hadn't struck him as the violent type. For whatever reason, Nico felt his cheeks flush up.
"Do you think that means we're close?" Sam asked, briefly checking the unfortunate kid's pulse. "I— I have no idea," Nico replied. Sam got up and led them in the direction that the attacker had come from. They walked as quietly as possible, where there was one, there was probably more. Nico pointed to a small clearing up ahead, "Look!" he signaled before getting shushed by Sam putting his index finger against Nico's lips.
Nico's face flushed again, "Don't you ever touch me again, Samuel," he growled, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt and pulling him close. Sam paled, "S—sorry," he stuttered, a bit shaken and embarrassed. Nico continued forwards towards a red flag that was draped upon the branch of a large oak tree a few feet ahead.
"Wait—," Sam whispered, alarmed, "What if it's booby-trapped?". Nico sighed, "Just keep your eyes open,". They cautiously stepped towards the flag, glancing around them every so often just to be safe. It was a bit concerning to Sam that they couldn't see too far away. The fog crept around the small clearing, which had a dark blue hue from the early night sky. Sam was just glad that for once he had someone there with him.
Nico looked around and quickly snagged the banner off the tree, waiting for a trapdoor to be triggered beneath them or a loud buzzer to sound that would give away their position. None of that happened.
"It's just too easy," Nico said in suspicion, narrowing his eyes and surveying the moist grounds beneath them. "We have the flag let's just get out of here!" Sam whisper-shouted, still not wanting to make any sudden loud noises. He and Nico stepped back cautiously.
Nico heard a few leaves rustling, then Sam screaming. He felt a hand grip onto his arm and pull him into the ground. He landed on the earthen floor with a big thud and in excruciating pain. He recollected what just happened and pieced it together. Sam must have accidentally walked over a hole disguised with a tarp and leaves. He looked up at the night sky and the entrance of the hole, he determined they were about twelve feet down from the surface in a five-foot diameter hole. He realized he was going to be down here a while. He slipped off his helmet, allowing a few locks of hit jet-black hair to drop down over his face. He sat down on the ground.
"And this day actually gets worse!" Sam said with mock enthusiasm, taking his helmet off too and setting it by his side. He slumped down against the wall of the pit until he was sitting down.
"Oh, please. You think I'm having fun?" Nico retorted, his tone aggressive and pained.
"Are you always this snappy or is there something else going on?" Sam asked, his green eyes appearing to be analyzing Nico like he were a complex math equation. Nico wanted to insist he was fine or tell Sam to mind his own business, but he sensed the genuine concern in his voice and so he spilled. He told him about Will, about how it left him feeling so empty. Nico felt a hand on his shoulder that was immediately retracted, "Oh— Right sorry, no touching," Sam immediately apologized, nervous. He wouldn't lie, Nico intimidated him like, a lot, but he wouldn't give him the satisfaction of knowing that.
Nico sighed, remembering what'd happened. "Look, I'm sorry that I yelled at you. I'm just not in a good state of mind right now. You can touch me if you wan—," Nico quickly stopped himself from finishing that sentence after realizing what he just said. Sam had to cover his mouth to stop himself from laughing too loudly, slipping a bit here and there. "Oh my gods…" Nico muttered, crouching himself into a tight little ball in humiliation.
"Okay, I'm sorry but that was really funny," Sam confessed, giggling lightly, his face a bit red. Nico, lifted up his head that had been resting over his arms. He studied Sam's face in the dim light. He had a pale complexion, a small rounded nose, and of course those big green/gray eyes. His features were vaguely feminine, and as much as Nico hated to say or even think it, Sam looked really cute when he laughed.
"Hey Nico…" Sam trailed off, looking down at the ground.
"Hm?"
"I just… I'm glad you're here. I— I don't think I would have been able to bear this without someone else here,"
Nico didn't know what to say. He tried to think of an appropriate response. "Thanks…" He decided, timidly, waiting to see what kind of reply that would get. Sam didn't get upset or anything, so Nico took it that he said the right words, or word, rather. Granted, it was getting really hard to see his expression in the dark now. Nico's mind began to stir. Someone was looking for them, right?
"And also, uh…" Sam added. Nico felt something warm wrap around his arm and realized it was Sam's arm. "How are we on that whole touching thing, because I'm kinda scared right now...?".
"Um. Okay."
There Nico was. The brooding, edgy son of the Underworld god, and he was getting cuddled by some mere child of Hermes. Intense memories came flooding forward at once. Like how Will used to wrap his arm around Nico during all the campfires at camp. Nico was so happy back then. He remembered the crackling of the fires, it's glowing embers, the beautiful and brilliant night sky, the giggly chorus of the other campers singing together, and he remembered Will. Will just glowed with happiness and love, he had such a radiance of joy and purity. Nico had thought his life was complete, but now he just chided himself on stupid that was. He had to remind himself that Sam wasn't Will and that Sam would never be Will.
Right?
But honestly, it was nice to have some comfort in the midst of this trainwreck of emotions Nico had buried inside himself.
Sam rested his head on Nico's shoulder, neither of them saying a word. Nico shifted uncomfortably until he didn't feel so uncomfortable. He steadied his breathing and just allowed it to happen. He asked himself why exactly he was allowing this to happen. He didn't know. His pounding heart subsided to a steady andante.
As time went on, the two boys pressed themselves against each other until Nico grabbed Sam by his breastplate and slowly leaned toward the other boy's face. Sam looked into Nico's shadowy, dark brown as he timidly approached the other boy's lips with his own.
"Nico? Sam?" A voice called out from a few feet away on the surface, effectively stopping whatever was about to happen. The two boys both pushed each other away at the same time, resulting in Sam getting shoved into the wall and Nico staggering backward and falling down. Sam quickly covered his hand with his mouth and apologized profusely, before scrambling to his feet and called back out to whoever was outside. "We're down here!".
Connor Stoll poked his head down into the hole, Nico and Sam could barely recognize who it was from the lack of light present. "Hold on— Guys they're down here!" Connor called out to several other campers nearby, who rushed over hastily, the noisy sounds of leaves rustling and footsteps echoed from above the pit.
Eventually, a ladder tall enough was located and Nico and Sam were rescued. They walked away from the pit, slightly embarrassed for one reason or another. Some of the campers escorting them out of the forest began to take notice of how fidgety Sam and Nico seemed to be towards each other. They were distancing themselves and taking brief glances at each other at random occasions before immediately looking away.
They left the dark, unsettling forest and Sam allowed himself to relax. He told a few of the campers that he'd be a little late to the campfire because he had to go back to his cabin to change his clothes. There wasn't really anything suspicious about that, but Nico raised an eyebrow when Sam ended his sentence with a small, guilty laugh. Eventually, everyone walked back to camp which left Sam and Nico alone to put their armor away in the small storage unit situated outside of the forest on a flat, level area of land. Neither really spoke to each other, but the tension was so potent, so toxic. If someone walked between the two, they'd probably suffocate and die from the sheer intensity. They exited the small structure, walking side-by-side.
"Hey uh, so can I walk you back to your cabin?" Sam asked, nervously, drawing small, shallow breaths.
Nico thought for a moment, "Sure," he said quietly. He wasn't sure what was going to happen, but in retrospect, the intentions were pretty obvious. The chemistry was there, the tension was heavy, and they were alone.
They started going back down the small dirt path towards the cabin section of the camp. Neither of them spoke, which was now becoming a recurring theme between them. Both boys weren't very talkative, but did anything really need to be said? Their body language told everything. They walked close together, their hands colliding occasionally, which made Sam turn his head away and blush. Sam was surprised that he hadn't collapsed in on himself like a dying star. Usually being close to other people, physically and figuratively, made him a nervous wreck. But not Nico. Maybe this boy would be different.
The cabins were still about a minute away at this point. Sam began to speak, "So, when we were in that hole… like, couldn't you have just shadow-traveled us out of there?". Nico immediately stopped in his tracks, blinking a few times. The palm of his hand smacked against his forehead before he was able to start walking again, "Oh my gods,".
"Why didn't you just remind me that whole time when we were in the pit?!" Nico practically cried out, mortified by the revelation.
"Well, I just thought there was, like, a reason or something… It's not my job to remind you of your own underworldly teleportation powers!" He countered, trying hard not to laugh at Nico.
"Now I feel stupid," Nico sighed, looking down at the ground at the widening dirt path beneath him as they entered the cabin area.
"Forgive me but, I happened to enjoy the quality time we spent together," Sam giggled, the sentiment making Nico blush as he recalled the events of what'd happened roughly an hour ago. He looked around the other cabins in the dark of the night. He didn't see anyone else, probably because everyone was at the amphitheater for the fire.
They both walked up to the door of the Hades cabin, they stopped in front of the door and Sam turned to face Nico. "So, uh. See you later?". Neither of them wanted to part with each other. This time there was no one else there to ruin the moment, so what was stopping them? They inched closer to each other, slowly and apprehensively. Their eyes met, neither of them turned away. They pressed their lips together slowly, closing their eyes and wrapping their hands around the other's neck. They separated momentarily, "You look really cute tonight," Sam told Nico before they resumed the kiss. They gradually became a little less gentle and got a bit rough. Sam eventually gave in to his urges and pinned Nico against the door of the cabin, brutally locking their lips together. Nico quickly turned his head away, gasping, "Sam, uh. Maybe we should do this… inside?". Sam realized what he was doing and quickly backed off of Nico, "S—sorry, I got a little carried away,". Nico shrugged it off and led him into his cabin.
Nico closed the door behind them, Sam gazed around at the dark interior which was lit up by greek fire torches. His footsteps tapping against the marble flooring, looking over at Nico fumbling for something in a mahogany end table next to a coffin-shaped bunk. He pulled out something in a small square, plastic wrapper and set it onto the table. He then walked back over to Sam and wrapped his arms around him, burying his chin into Sam's gray sweater and looking up at him, "So, where were we?". A cheesy line, but Sam smiled, "Sorry again for being so rough, I don't kn—,". He was interrupted by Nico, "No! I mean, no. It's fine, 'cause it's just… Will was always so gentle and I always just felt like— like… just kind of unsatisfied," he admitted. Maybe he shouldn't have brought up Will when he was about to have sex with Sam, but he just wanted to make his… wants a bit more clear.
He didn't have much more time to think as Sam wrapped his hands around Nico's neck and began to maneuver his tongue into Nico's mouth. They both stepped over the nearest coffin bed, both caught up in their oral pleasure. Sam pulled away from Nico while slipping his black combat boots off so that they wouldn't get in the way. Nico did the same with his sneakers and gasped as Sam grabbed him by the shirt and hauled him onto the mattress. Sam climbed over top of him and pinned his wrists against the mattress with his hands, kissing him passionately while they rolled their tongues against each other. The oral stimulation alone was enough to make Nico moan, on top of the sultry manner that Sam forced him down on the mattress.
Sam savored the moment. It wasn't every day he got to make out with a cute boy while shoving him against a mattress. He began to slip off Nico's gray Ramones t-shirt and he tossed it onto the floor next to them. He removed his own gray sweater, revealing his pale, lithe figure. Deciding he needed more, he slipped his arms under Nico's, then hungrily resumed their kiss. During this saliva exchange, Sam kicked his light blue jeans off his legs, revealing his tight boxer briefs. He then pulled at the waist of Nico's black ripped jeans. Nico helped work them off, moving his hips up and down and simultaneously rolling his hips against Sam's crotch.
After finally getting Nico's pants off, Sam felt himself going up to full-mast. Embarrassingly enough, Nico felt it too. Nico grunted and fumbled for something on his nightstand and handed Sam the condom. After recognizing what it was, he grabbed it and he struggled with the wrapper, trying to tear it to no avail. He sighed and handed it to Nico, who immediately tore open the packaging and handed it back to Sam who just rolled his eyes. "Whatever.".
He slipped his underwear down to his feet and kicked them off, then he gripped and rubbed his member in his hand. Once he was satisfied with the firmness, he rolled the piece of rubber over his length. He was a little embarrassed that the condom was a bit bigger than he was, even though Sam knew he was still somewhat above average in size. But seriously, he thought, Who is using these condoms? He eventually turned his focus back to his lover. Nico had removed the rest of his clothing and was just kind of awkwardly waiting.
"Ready?"
"Ready."
Sam wasted no more time and practically dove right in, figuratively speaking, he didn't want to impale Nico— not right away at least. Nico's pasty legs went over Sam's shoulder's He slid himself into Nico, if he wanted rough, that's what he was gonna get. Nico winced in pain, definitely more used to taking it in more slowly. But it was like getting into a pool; the water feels cold at first but after a while, it starts to become more comfortable. As Sam became more rhythmic in his thrusts, Nico began to enjoy it. He felt Sam's cock rubbing against his prostate, causing some blood to flow into Nico's dick.
Sam decided to have a bit more fun, he picked up the pace and pounded Nico harder. The boy groaned in pleasure, his vision becoming hazier as he gripped the pillows. All he wanted to do was kiss that big, soft pair of boy lips on Sam's face.
Sam's boy-cock slid in and out of Nico roughly, making him hornier and hornier. Nico moaned in sync with Sam's thrusting, accidentally blurting out "Cuore Mio ~!" at one point. Sam tilted his head, confused "Was that Italian?". Nico just stared up at him with lustful eyes.
He felt another rough, wet, aggressive kiss, making him feel like his lips were going to bruise from Sam's hot and sexy ruthlessness. Nico welcomed every thrust that entered his body and he clung to the incredible feeling of his ass getting stretched out by Sam's cock. He sensed himself being stimulated by Sam, and his erection grew firmer. He whined and groaned in lust and arousal, gripping the sheets beneath him. He began to buck his hips forwards.
Sam was loving this just as much. He wanted to hear him moan and scream his name, he wanted to cram his dick into Nico and make that boy his. He wondered how Will could give up such a fine piece of ass, but then he realized he was being superficial. There was probably a lot more to the break-up than that, but Sam decided not to focus on that right now. He went into his max, just to watch Nico squirm underneath him and whimper in pleasure. Sam shocked himself, not realizing how much of a domination kink he had. But shoving Nico into the mattress while he fucked him senseless was all he wanted to do right then.
Nico learned that he liked it rough too. Soon when Sam thrust in and out of him, he was practically screaming and begging for more. He couldn't contain his lust and felt pressure building up in his organ. He gripped Sam's back, digging his nails into his skin as he came onto Sam's stomach. Sam embraced the pain and felt his tip growing sensitive, incentivizing him to keep pushing in and out. He soon reached his climax and came inside Nico, then he finally pulled out. He tossed his cum-filled condom into a nearby trash can.
The two made out passionately, gripping the other's hair as they gasped and rammed their tongues down each other's throat. They both moaned and kissed, pulling themselves as close together as humanly possible and barely stopping to breathe until they eventually calmed down.
"So, do you have a towel or something I can clean myself off with?" Sam asked, looking down at his cum-coated stomach.
A few minutes passed and they cleaned off all the love juice with towels and tap water. They slipped their clothes back on and got ready to go to the campfire sing-a-long, which hopefully hadn't ended yet.
Sam motioned toward the door, "Shall we?". Nico nodded and they walked to the amphitheater together.
People glanced at them for a second when they arrived, but then went back to singing. The event was pretty much almost over though. But something bothered Nico, a few Aphrodite kids kept staring at Nico and Sam and giggling, then looking over at Will Solace. Nico recalled several times when he'd just did the deed with Will and several Aphrodite demigods nearby started whispering to each other and laughing. He really wished that they wouldn't do that because, in all honesty, it was very disturbing. But this time they were just giggling, not like a mocking giggle, but more like when they knew some serious drama was about to start.
…
The next morning, Nico got up, remembering what'd happened yesterday. He smirked, completed his morning routine, then went out the door for breakfast.
His smile faded once he realized he'd be sitting alone in the dining pavilion again. He slumped into his chair with his breakfast and picked at a couple of grapes before feeling a presence behind him. Sam put his hand on Nico's shoulder and asked, "Hey. So do you think that 'doctor's note' is still valid?". Nico's grin reappeared on his face, "I don't see why not,".
"I don't know why you're so nice to me, Sam. I mean, being a child of Hades I usually come off to people as—"
"Intense and creepy? Hardly noticed,"
They both laughed, clearly enjoying the other's company. He looked over at the Hermes' table who was staring at them. Nico picked up a little of their conversation:
"I have never, ever heard him laugh before," One demigod said.
"Yeah, and it's actually terrifying me," Another replied.
It took Nico a minute to realize they hadn't been talking about him. They were talking about Sam. He thought about that boy before he'd officially met him. He remembered that he never usually talked to everyone and kept to himself. But Sam didn't seem like that last night. His gaze panned over to the Apollo table. Did I really have that much of an effect on him? Maybe—. That train of thought stopped as another revelation came across his mind.
Suddenly a dark cloud settled over Nico. He realized something that sickened him to the very core.
He still had no feelings for Sam.
He was in love with Will.
He remembered how he only thought of Will when he was in that pit with Sam, pulling him close. The way Sam teased him reminded him so much of Will. Hell, he even had to stop himself from screaming out Will's name during sex.
Now he was trapped in a one-sided relationship from his own damn fault. There was just no way he could tell Sam this. He got so carried away with his delusion that he allowed himself to keep dating Will vicariously through Sam.
Shit.
…
Will Solace was showered with sympathies from everyone around him, he put on a smiling face and thanked them foe their compassion. But deep down, he knew he had felt worse than when he and Nico were still together. He was the head of his cabin, so he had to at least appear level-headed and calm for everyone else. That was the hardest part.
He thought of that expression about seeing the world through rose-colored spectacles and how it meant seeing things as better than they are in reality. He wondered if there was an opposite phrase, perhaps gray tinted lenses that made everything seem dull and shabby. That was exactly how he felt right now. Like someone had superglued gray tinted lenses to his face. Everything was worse than it had ever been and he had a hard time seeing any positivity in the world.
But even then, everything changed when he began hearing rumors about Nico and Sam from the Hermes cabin. It was one thing to hear something, but now he was seeing it right in front of him. Sam was talking, laughing, and flirting with Nico at the Hades table. Now everything Will saw was tinted in dark red.
Are you fucking serious? 'I' dump him and he immediately goes on the rebound for some stupid Hermes' cabin asshat!?
...Did I mean nothing to him?
He teared up at that last thought but quickly regained his composure. Will wasn't taking this, no. He wanted his revenge.
And he was going to get it.
…
A/N 2:
Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, and just know there's more coming! This was a lot of fun to write and I hope you guys enjoyed Sam Onassis!
I figured it'd be easier to write in a new character for this love triangle idea I had than any preexisting one. I tried to make him interesting, but not too over-the-top much since I want the story to focus more on Nico and Will's evolving relationship. So do not fret Solangelo fans!
Technically this isn't a one-shot, but more like a three-shot. Or like three one-shots weaved together plotwise, or— you get the idea.
Peace out, homies ✌️
