A/N: Just as a heads-up, this contains a light domination fetish. Nothing too intense or serious, just a praising kink.
It was so wrong. He had loved this boy so much, and he'd just gone and found someone else immediately after they'd broken up.
It was like he didn't even matter to him.
The bitter emptiness in his soul only made room for the rage and anger to pack and bury itself deep into Will's subconscious.
...
Sam was over the moon. He finally found a guy who he loved and, much to his excitement, he dropped his v-card to. But for whatever reason, Nico seemed to disappear on him after breakfast. Looking back, he noticed him looking a little uncomfortable during breakfast. Sam didn't really think he did anything wrong, but he still worried about his future with Nico. Then suddenly Sam felt uncomfortable. Like, maybe he shouldn't have rushed into a relationship the way he did. For crying out loud, he'd only just met the guy last night!
He decided to take a walk around the camp to clear his mind. It was the weekend anyway, so there wasn't much he had to do today. He sat up on his bunk and glanced at his band posters that lined his tiny section of the worn, brown painted wall. Everyone around him was talking to each other, just about dumb prank stuff and their plans for the weekend.
Sam had this constant desire to stand out from everyone around him, not just be different, but easily discernable from his peers. He did this as subtly as possible. As cliché as it was, he didn't pull pranks or steal like his half-brothers. He always wore slightly dressier and sophisticated outfits than his fellow demigods, opting for more sweaters and jackets over the regular t-shirt and jeans. And he topped it all off with a pair of combat boots, which he thought looked more badass than sneakers.
He didn't talk much either, knowing that meant people would know to listen whenever he had something to say.
But it was strange how all that changed around Nico. He suddenly became more bubbly and sociable whenever he was around him. He sighed, wondering what it all meant. He laced up his boots, fixed his hair, and walked out the door.
The sun graced his pale skin as breathed in the faint scent of strawberries. He fixed his denim jacket, which was unbuttoned over his orange camp t-shirt. He looked down at the ground below him and focused on a straight, direct path in front of him, not bothering to wave at anybody he passed by. He wasn't in that kind of mood.
The sun beat down on his neck, he walked across the outskirts of the woods and the forest. He gazed upon the dark green clusters of plant life and the tall trees with thick roots that snagged on your feet if you weren't careful. The memories of last night had only been last night, but they felt like an eternity ago. Even then, the visions of the past seemed to breathe down his neck like a stalking specter. It was something he couldn't see or feel in a literal sense, but it seemed like it was right there behind him and reaching out to grab him and take him away. It wasn't something he wanted to feel.
He started walking over to the strawberry fields instead. His peaceful walk seemed a little counter-intuitive. He tried to focus on the nature scene around him. He looked at the stream and the lake out in the distance, the water was a nice crystal-blue today because the naiads always work overtime to keep it clean. As he drew nearer to the border between the strawberry fields and the forest, he took the time to appreciate how tranquil it was. Just a few satyrs frolicking off in the distance today. He looked across the bushes of strawberries all planted in neat rows across the lands within the magical boundaries of the camp. They were so nearby, and Sam could feel his problems seeming to absolve themselves as he stepped closer. All he had to do was get away from the forest. But he soon realized it might have been more than the memories he had sensed behind him. He collapsed on the ground, in front of the expanse of those warm, sunny fields.
He immediately rolled onto his back in the muddy grass, groaning, to get a good look at his attacker. He was tall-ish, blonde hair, tan, blue eyes. It was none other than the smiley, friendly, outgoing, son of Apollo.
Will Solace? Sam wondered what he had to have done to get the most cheerful guy in the entire camp to be wailing on him like a maniac. Sleeping with Will's ex-boyfriend might have had a role to play in this. Sam quickly realized what was happening while wheezing in pain. He rolled out of Will's reach and scrambled to his feet.
Sam grew up with older step-brothers, so he knew a thing or two about hand-to-hand combat. But Will was a lot bigger than Sam, he had almost no chance. In the midst of calculating his odds. He felt a surge of pain on his left cheek when Will swiped his hand across Sam's face as he shouted some profanities. Sam's mouth fell open as he rubbed his bruising cheek in shock. That's when he decided to just let Will have it.
Sam lunged at Will and made a tackle any rugby player would have been proud of, as he pounded his arms against Will's chest. Will shoved Sam off and they rolled around on the ground, both trying desperately to get the upper hand. Will was stronger and larger, but Sam was more agile and quick on his feet. They kicked and pushed at each other and kept pulling the other boy back down to the ground. Sam felt his stamina draining. Despite his training, he wasn't much of a fighter, it was more like he had short bursts of energy whenever it was all that was needed.
Will landed a blow in Sam's right eye, bruising it, and Sam clutched his hand to it in pain. He began to feel so much pain from every slap and bruise Will had inflicted on him. And as the pain intensified, so did his rage. He felt every ounce of adrenaline he had drain into his body. His breathing grew steady as his eyes narrowed at Will, studying his every movement.
Time seemed to slow down. He saw Will charging at him, growing closer and closer by the millisecond. Sam prepped his core as he raised his leg and kicked Will in the gut, causing him to stumble back against a large maple tree with a loud thud. He'd picked the right day to wear his Doc Martens.
Sam stomped over to Will, crouched down, and looked him right in his pained blue eyes. "What the FUCK you psycho, bitch?!" He cried out, causing Will to wince. Before he could answer, Sam felt himself losing balance and he steadied himself against the large tree trunk for support. The problem with using all his adrenaline meant that he had absolutely nothing left in his system. His eyes grew hazy as he tumbled and fell onto Will's lap, unconscious.
Will was thinking about what he had just done and why. He had trouble coming to terms with whatever the hell he just did. He pretty much wailed on some poor Hermes kid because of his own jealousy and resentment. Will winced once again as Sam collapsed over top of him, he fell against the part of Will's abdomen that just got slammed by his foot.
Will wanted to believe that he was a good person. Good people don't do what he just did. Will did not feel like a good person. He let his own envy wound him, and allowed it to become infected and spread. An infection no amount of antibiotics could cure. Hatred. Sam had barely done anything. Nico was the only one he should be angry with. But Will couldn't bring himself to do it. He hated himself for that.
He looked down at the sleeping boy in his lap, studying his bruised and blackening eye. He determined that it'd probably heal quicker once he applied some nectar on the bruise. Will checked for any other signs of injury, nothing was broken or sprained. He'll probably just be sore for a bit. Will needed to get him back to the infirmary before anyone noticed. He picked up Sam in a fireman's carry, slinging him over his shoulder with a grunt.
Will was constantly looking in every single direction, trying to avoid people whenever possible. Best if people didn't know too much about this. He stumbled around the camp, hauling around Sam as he made his way to the Big House. He was stopped by Connor Stoll right in front of the house. "What happened?" Connor asked, confused, and a little worried about his half-brother.
"He um… he fell," Will lied.
"Will, maybe I should help carry him? You seem a little pale," Connor suggested, cocking his head to the right as he took notice of Will's ghastly appearance.
"No, no it's fine. I've got it," Will lied, again. This time he sealed it off with the classic, deceitful 'Everything is fine' smile. Connor just shrugged and walked off, "Suit yourself".
Finally, Will thought as he dragged Sam into the camp's infirmary. He set him down on a vacant cot. Will acted like he'd just shot Sam and was now dragging his dead body across the camp. He was pretty terrified. He just wanted to finally break down and let all his emotions free from the tight concealment that Will thought he'd secured all his frustration and resentment in. Everything that had happened with Nico had been hard on Will.
The worst thing?
It was all his fault. All of it.
He broke up with Nico, thinking it would make everything better. But of course, it didn't. Everything was terrible. He allowed his own anger to spread inside of him until he attacked Sam for no real reason other than his own envy, which wasn't Sam's fault.
He sighed as he looked down at the pale boy sleeping in the cot. Guilt or even stupidity didn't even begin to describe what Will felt. But what frightened him the most? Probably whatever Sam would do once he woke up. He trembled as he applied nectar to the bruised area on the boy's face. Typically, topical treatments don't work for bruises or internal injuries, but Will knew nectar had its magical properties and would do the job fine. Once he was satisfied with his work, he stepped outside for some fresh air.
He walked around the Big House, wondering what was going to happen to him. Surely, if anyone found out he'd lose his position as head of his cabin as well as his perfect reputation. And he'd probably lose Nico forever. That was the worst one of all.
He suddenly felt enveloped in a wave of darkness, then was shoved up against the siding of the Big House. Recovering from the initial shock, Will checked to see what'd just happened. He looked down at Nico's scowling face.
"What the fuck is wrong with you, Will?!" Nico hollered, pinning Will against the house. As if Will hadn't been asking himself that very question.
If Will wasn't terrified before, he absolutely was now.
"First, you make absolutely no effort to talk to me. Then you go and beat the shit out of some guy who had nothing to do with you!?" Nico radiated anger and hostility.
Will laughed dryly before narrowing his eyes, "That's rich coming from you!" he cried. He drew a sharp breath, "Last time I checked, you're the one who out went screaming at me immediately after I broke up with you, and then you just left! And now you accuse me of not wanting to talk to you? Maybe I was wrong Nico, maybe you really are dense. And Sam? Don't even get me started," Will huffed as he finished his rant. He could tell he hit a sore subject with Sam, but Will didn't care.
"Sam?! Gods Will, we were just talking!" Nico tried to defend himself, tears beginning to form in his dark eyes. He knew what he just said wasn't true, they both knew.
"So you fucked him?!" Will retorted, angrily.
Nico was in ruins, and he'd pretty much brought it all on himself. Deep down, he knew the only reason he yelled at Will was just to talk to him again. He felt so utterly pathetic, especially since everything Will said was true. He looked back up at Will, realizing he was waiting for an answer.
"I was— I was confused… It didn't mean anything Will, I swear!" Nico replied, desperately making sure he didn't break down sobbing. He was already embarrassed enough.
"See you 'round, Nico," Will grunted, turning and leaving Nico by himself. Nico just stood there, his breathing hastily. It wasn't enough that the love of his life broke up with him, Nico just had to make the guy angry at him too. He felt so pitiful and stupid, and it was all on him.
'Winning' the argument didn't make Will any happier, and it definitely didn't make things any better. He walked back into the Big House and checked on some of the other infirmary patients, like his friend Lou Ellen, who he was pretty sure faked a pegasus accident to get out of playing Capture The Flag. He couldn't blame her, last night was pretty awful; no one could find the enemy flag the whole game.
He walked over to Sam, who was a few cots down. Will was more than just a little upset with Nico. I mean, what had that hypocritical confrontation been all about anyway? Thinking about Nico almost seemed to distract Will from his own situation right then, but it wasn't something he could completely ignore. Guilt and fear crawled up his throat and it made him want to wretch and vomit. These feelings only seemed to amplify as he drew nearer to Sam.
He wanted to curl up into a tight ball and cry. Sam stirred in his sleep. He always had to keep his emotions in check, making sure everyone saw him as a friendly and happy face. He failed today. Sam groaned and his breathing hastened. Will laughed at the cosmic irony of it all. So many emotions and he yet couldn't share any of them. Sam opened his eyes.
Sam glanced over at Will with fear, he tried to move but his whole body was so sore that he was practically paralyzed. He grunted in pain, "Get the hell away from me, Will Solace,". A little rude, but Will couldn't blame him. "I just have to check your vitals," He said, his tone nonchalant. Sam gave him a death stare, which was all he could do now due to his physical limitations.
Eventually, he gave in and let Will ask him a few questions about how he was feeling. He answered them all half-heartedly, making sure he was being passive-aggressive enough to demonstrate his lack of compassion for Will. Will sighed, looked around, and made sure the partition curtains were effectively concealing them before turning back to face Sam.
"Look, I'm sorry. I have no idea why I did that. I wasn't in my right head. I let my own anger get the best of me. This… this breakup with Nico hasn't really been easy on me," Will whispered in confession, trying to come off as sincere and open as possible.
"Do you think I give a shit about how you feel?!" Sam growled through clenched teeth, wondering what reaction Will could have possibly expected to have gotten from doing a complete 180° in beating the shit out of him to making a bullshit apology.
"I'm sorry… I'm so sorry," Will lamented, his eyes red. Sam eased up a bit, Will seemed genuine but he wasn't about to forgive him that fast, "Just check the stupid vitals and get out,". Rolling his eyes, Will brought out his stethoscope and cleaned the surface before putting them on. He tapped the metal end to test the sound before pressing it against Sam's chest. He noticed Sam's heart rate go up and his breathing accelerate as Will rested his hand over his ribs. Sam grimaced as he felt blood rush to his face.
Will set the stethoscope down, everything seemed to be fine. He noticed Sam was a little quieter, but after he finished all his questions and tests Will left. Just like Sam wanted him to.
Sam watched Will walk away, neither saying a word. Will had such a calm and kind presence, Sam just wanted to hug and forgive him, but he fought back all those desires.
He blinked. It hurt. Will did that, Sam told himself, He did that, don't let his charm fool you. Painfully from the soreness, he pressed his hand lightly against his swollen black eye. The memories of the fight flooded back in, but all the feelings were numb. He laid on his bed, expressionless. He didn't know what to feel, he didn't want to feel, he didn't know why that was.
Sam took his hand off his eye and then maneuvered it slowly to his chest, wincing from the soreness in his arm. He rested his fingertips where Will's hand had been. He felt blood rush to his cheeks again. He didn't know why that was. But he smiled lightly.
…
Will calmed down, kind of. Everything was still there: the shame, the regret, the hatred. But it was all sitting in the back of his mind. It was the most peace he had felt in a while. Still, Will sat on his bed in the Apollo cabin with his feet planted against the floor. He looked expressionless at the wall in front of him with his head tilted slightly. He studied the small chips in the paint and the tiny cracks in the ceiling.
This might have seemed odd to anyone who saw him because it really was. But Will wasn't thinking of much at the time, simply because he didn't want to. He just felt like he didn't have the mental energy to worry anymore. It was like he was giving his brain a rest by doing nothing if that's even how it works.
He took a sip from his bottle of water and set it down on his nightstand. He then left his cabin and headed to the dining pavilion for dinner. As he sat down at his table, every single emotion flooded back at once. He clenched his fist and grimaced, letting out a small wail of distress. His half-siblings asked if he was alright, but he could feel their eyes pierce right through his head. What if they ever found out I attacked someone? What would they think of me then? He cried out to himself. He felt like his mind and soul were being enwrapped in barbed wire, sharp pains everywhere at any slight movement.
"I'm fine," Will smiled gleefully, to his half-siblings' relief.
Will glanced over at the Hades' table and couldn't help but notice no one was there. Whatever.
…
"What?" Sam asked, deadpan as Will stepped in the room. It was late in the day, the sky was a dark shade of blue speckled with small constellations. "I just wanted to check up on you," Will replied, studying how nicely Sam healed up after just a few hours. He also didn't seem as sore because he was sitting upright.
Sam looked up at Will, Wow, that's actually kind of sweet of him. Gross, he thought. Sam didn't really enjoy acts of any kind of affection sometimes, it's part of why he barely formed any close relationships. Sam pressed the tips of his fingers against his eye, it was almost completely healed. Cursed ambrosia, he thought. Why couldn't he just be mad at Will like a normal person?
"I shouldn't have gotten mad at you for what you did, Sam. If Nico says it meant nothing, then—"
"He said what?"
Will realized that he just shattered another relationship. He watched Sam's expression become hostile and his breathing intensify.
"Sam—"
"Just SHUT UP! You just can't stand the thought of me and Nico being together, can you?!" Sam yelled, tears welling up in his eyes. He blinked away the tears before he snickered, "Do you know what he says about you?". That seemed to get Will's attention. "He told me you never satisfied him," Sam let out another dry laugh. Will's expression became immediately horrified, "I—I didn't want to hurt him," his voice low. Sam took this as an incentive to continue. "Yeah! He told me that you were always so gentle. And guess what? I pounded his little—"
"Sam shut the fuck up and stop talking!" Will interrupted, clasping his hand over Sam's mouth so he didn't reveal any more embarrassing info in the presence of the entire infirmary. Sam made a small grunt noise and he pushed Will's arm away.
What Will said wasn't true. It couldn't. Sam knew this for one reason only: he didn't want it to be.
But of course, it was true. Nico didn't want a relationship. He just wanted comfort after his breakup. That's why he disappeared afterward, that's why he never visited. Sam felt like he'd just been kicked in the gut with a pair of combat boots.
He pulled his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around his legs in the fetal position to try and comfort himself, his heavy breathing slowed down. He knew his rage towards Will shouldn't have been aimed at Will. It should be directed at his ex-lover— well, their ex-lover really.
"Are you and Nico still on good terms?" Sam looked up with wistful eyes, and spoke in a nonchalant voice. Will was a bit taken aback by not only the change in tone, but the change in topic.
"Uh. No, but—"
"Good."
"Why is that g—?" Will was tired of getting interrupted, but Sam had a vengeful look in his eye. Sam whispered a little plan in Will's ear. It was so wrong. It was so dirty. Will blushed, but honestly, Nico had this coming. Only a Hermes kid could have thought of something so devious.
He owes me one for not telling anyone about what happened anyway, Sam figured, thinking to himself.
…
Sam promised they wouldn't get lost, they were traveling through the deepest and darkest parts of the woods. This was the last place either of them wanted to be, for obvious reasons, but Will knew this is where Nico used to go to be by himself at night. Normally Will wouldn't let a patient leave the infirmary so soon, but this was a special circumstance. They found a small clearing with one lone fir tree.
Sam leaned his back against the rough bark. He felt a little nervous as Will came up in front of him, but he thought about all the pain Nico caused him and suddenly he felt alright. Likewise in Will's case as he took a deep breath, "Ready?". "Yes," Sam replied, staring deep into Will's blue eyes. He smiled a little.
Will pressed his lips up against Sam's and leaned into it, pushing Sam's head against the bark.
Yes. This was their plan.
Sam felt Will's tongue slipping between his soft tender lips, savoring their sweet flavor before Sam's mouth opened and allowed him access. Their warm tongues wrapped around each other as Will deepened the kiss and pressed Sam harder against the tree. This was just a dumb revenge scheme, but Will was so turned on. He let his inner carnal instincts take over. He wrapped his arm behind Sam's neck and pulled him in as close as possible. Sam felt Will's strong arm holding him, forcing them against each other, and decided he liked the small taste of domination he was being given. But he wanted the whole meal. He kissed with even more fiery passion and groaned in pleasure as he felt Will's crotch grinding against his.
Sam enjoyed the rough denim of Will's jeans rubbing against him, exciting his arousal. He had developed a little bit of a crush on Will when he'd been taking care of him, much to Sam's dismay. That may or may not have affected his plan for revenge. Sam meddled with Will's jeans, taking off his belt and unbuttoning them. Will chuckled and traced his finger down Sam's cheek, making him blush. He worked off Will's jeans as they were locking lips, leaning against the tree. Sam wrapped his arms around Will as his pants dropped to his ankles. Sam began to lift up Will's shirt, slightly exposing his perfectly tanned body. Will separated from Sam briefly to remove the other boy's pants and underwear, exposing his pale nether regions.
Will lowered his own Darth Vader printed boxer-briefs, which Sam was going to make a snarky comment on before he saw Will's fully-erect cock.
"Oh… fuck me," Sam moaned involuntarily under his breath before cupping his hand over his mouth. Will smirked, his expression taking on a more sultry and seductive look. "Turn around," Will whispered in Sam's ear as he ran his fingers through his soft brown hair. Sam obeyed, turning to face the tree as Will got a nice view of his firm ass. Will wrapped his arm around Sam's chest, his hot breath rolling down Sam's neck.
Will pressed the tip of his member inside of Sam, causing him to moan in delight. Will brushed his hand along Sam's neck, "Good boy~" he purred. He snaked his arms around Sam's waist and he pushed in further. Before he could moan out loud, Will put his hand over Sam's mouth and planted a kiss on the inside of his neck. Sam squirmed in Will's embrace and he just wanted to melt in his arms, everything he did turned Sam on so much.
"You like that don't you ~?" Will whispered in Sam's ear as he pushed himself all the way in. He took his hand off Sam's mouth, "You're so… big… Will" Sam heaved immediately.
"Just relax, sweetie..." Will replied as he kissed Sam on the cheek, pulling out slowly. He started making a pattern of pushing in and out, listening to Sam's hot and horny moans. He enjoyed the intense and beautiful feeling of Will's cock thrusting in and out of him, making him feel whole. Nico had called Will gentle, Will wasn't going to have any of that this time. He thrust in and out of Sam hastily, making him howl in the immaculate pleasure of having his ass rammed so vigorously. "You're doing so good ~" Will assured him, planting small kisses along his neck.
Whenever Will praised him, Sam just felt like he was on cloud 9, it was just so unexplainably hot. Will drove him absolutely crazy, all Sam wanted right now was for Will to make him his. Will wrapped his arms around Sam's waist as he aggressively slammed his dick deep into Sam's tight ass. Sam took it all like a man. Will moaned in his ear, "Yeah, that's it Sammy… keep being good for me…".
It wasn't long before Will was about to cum. He decided to just pull out; Sam might not appreciate having to walk back out of the woods with an ass full of semen. Sam came on the tree in front of him, the whole experience had been so erotic and sexy that he just couldn't help himself. Hopefully that wasn't a dryad tree.
Will pulled his pants back up before swooping in for another kiss from Sam. The two boys embraced in what would have been a sweet kiss until Sam opened his eyes and pushed away from Will. Will looked up at Sam, shocked until Sam pointed behind him.
Nico was staring at them, shocked, tears welling up in his eyes.
Suddenly, Will thought, this revenge scheme didn't seem so satisfying.
A/N 2: Ooh more drama~ Stick around for the third and final part of this 3-part one-shot, coming hopefully soon. And no, it does not end in a threesome. Sorry.
