It all began, with darkness. Then, a shiver of light, that became bigger. It culminated in a flash of light.

The girl slowly opened her groggy eyes, as the world around her came into view. She was in some kind of forest, trees with red leaves above her. She had so many questions buzzing through her mind, who was she? Where was she? And, what's that voice?

"And she lives!" Said a voice, with a strange looking robot coming into view.

The girl screamed, backing away from the floating robot.

"Oh crap, sorry about that dearie, didn't mean to startle you!" The robot said, in a feminine voice, with a slight Brooklyn accent. The girl stopped backing up and took several breaths. "You feelin' alright kid, nothing broken or anything?" the robot asked, "This is sorta my first time doin' this, so I wanna make sure I did it right." The girl sat up, looking at the robot.

"W-Who are you?" She asked, in a hush, confused voice.

"Oh, right, introductions!" The robot said, making a coughing sound, clearing its nonexistent throat. "I don't have a name, but as far as titles go, you can call me your ghost."

"My, ghost?" The girl repeated, "Does that mean I'm dead?"

"More like, you WERE dead." the ghost corrected, "And I brought you back to life!" The girl's eyes widened upon that remark, had she really been dead? "Anyway, do you have a name?" The ghost asked.

"I… I don't know." The girl replied. She saw a puddle of water nearby and crawled over to it. She looked into it, seeing her reflection. She had short black hair with red accents, a white and black dress, a red skirt and cape, and gleaming silver eyes. "I, don't remember my name." She said, her reflection mouthing the same words she said.

"Eh, don't worry, it's normal for most Risen to not remember things." The ghost said, appearing in the reflection behind her. "Do you remember, anything?"

"No. Not a single thing…" She sighed lightly, before something seemed to catch her eye in the reflection. She turned to see what it was, and when she went to investigate, she found what looked to be a big sniper rifle. "What is…?"

"HOT DAMN!" The ghost exclaimed, "That's… that's a weapon from one of those Huntsman folks!" Before the girl could ask what that was, roars were heard in the distance.

"What was that?" The girl asked.

"Fallen." The ghost replied, "We aren't safe here kid, follow me." The girl nodded, and got to her feet, which felt like they would give out beneath her. She stumbled a bit and ended up falling flat on her face. The impact left the girl dizzy, but she was still able to see something near her. It was a rose, growing amongst the dried-up ground. The girl got up and plucked it from the ground. She didn't know why, but seeing the rose made her feel, happy.

"You said you didn't have a name?" She asked her ghost.

"Yeah, why?" The ghost replied.

"Well, how about I call you 'Rose'?"

"Rose… I like it."
