CHARMING'S AUTHORS NOTE #1: Okay i'll be honest I don't exactly know what this is trying to achieve, but this is all jwatkins' fault; he commented on my thanksgiving fic "I've Got Plenty to be Thankful For" about how weird it was that Cole and Mary were an item and he said eww and well this happened so jwatkins, this ones for you lol. If you haven't read "I've Got Plenty to be Thankful For" then you need to go read that first or this won't make a lick of sense. This is un-beta'd so all mistakes are mine.

That Was Totally Weird Right?

A Story by

As Sarah cuddled up against her loving husband under the covers she inhaled his scent and had to hum with satisfaction, she even loved the smell of him. It had been a long day of cooking and playing host, she had loved every second if it, every single moment of blissful normalcy. If Sarah was being honest she'd never imagined that she could have this life, she'd always imaged she'd end up like General Beckman, dedicated to the job no matter what. The thing was, maybe that was simply Sarah settling for what she felt she was worthy of at the time. Her self-worth was at an all-time low right before she flew to Burbank for the first time in 2007. She was feeling betrayed by a man who had almost acted like a father figure towards her over the years. Kieran Ryker's betrayal had been a real blow to her self-confidence, which may have been why Graham sent her on what he thought was a milk run in Burbank, little did he know. Fast forward thirteen years and Sarah lived in a beautiful house, with an amazing husband that made her feel complete, and had two beautiful girls that she never thought she could love so much. She was one of the lucky ones to get a second chance at a normal life and she was trying to make the most of it. Sarah felt her husbands lips kiss the top of her head as it laid on his chest in the crook of his neck.

"Hey, where's your head at?" Chuck asked prompting Sarah to shift her position slightly and speak peacefully.

"Just thinking about how lucky I am; most agents don't get the fairytale ending like I did. Most agents either end up like the Turners or they end up like Mary, alone in another country a thousand miles away from their friends and family. I mean can you imagine spending twenty years undercover? Twenty years away from Sam and Charlie; I couldn't do it. You were about their age when she left to try to stop Volkoff." Sarah said as she settled back into her favorite position.

"Yeah she made the hardest sacrifice a mother can make; dad died while she was in Moscow, they never even got to say goodbye. The thing is, what would you do for Carina or I for Morgan if it happened to them? Hartley was to my father what Morgan is to me; I'd do anything to bring Morgan home if it happened to him." Chuck said making a very salient point.

"Thank god we escaped that life." Sarah said, as she held onto Chuck just a little bit tighter.

"Thank god indeed." Chuck said as he settled in for a much need rest; the thing was he could feel Sarah restlessly against his side, something else was obviously bothering her.

"Okay what else is bothering you; I can practically hear the gears turning in your head?" Chuck asked with a chuckle as he felt her smile into his chest, he knew her too well for his own good.

"Does it weird you out at all that your mother is dating Cole? I mean he tried to get into my pants pretty hard way back in the day." Sarah asked.

"Totally weird." Chuck answered quickly making Sarah laugh quietly.

"Oh thank god, it was freaking me out all day, I mean he's practically Ellie's age and yet he's more than likely banging your mom." Sarah said in an explosion of words that made Chuck laugh.

"Okay Morgan, first of all eww, second of all let's not talk about my mother like that please." Chuck said obviously uncomfortable.

"Did you just call me Morgan?" Sarah said raising her head off of his chest and giving him a look that told him he had about ten seconds to elaborate before he was banished to the couch.

"Hey Morgan is like the brother I never had; though you have to admit banging my mom? Seriously, how old are you little missy, thirteen?" Chuck said with a laugh and a smile that Sarah couldn't help but match.

"Okay maybe I was a little blunt, but seriously never compare me to Morgan again." Sarah said as she settled back down against Chuck.

"Okay noted no more calling you Morgan." Chuck said with a shake of the head at his silly wife.

"Also as your wife and not your hetero-life partner I can do things that he never could, like wear that little uniform that you like so much that's in our closet." Sarah said knowing exactly what mentioning her Weinerlicious uniform would do to her husband. Chuck's brain exploded as he thought about their 8th wedding anniversary when she'd come out of the bathroom in that amazing uniform. Sarah could practically feel the blush on Chuck's cheeks as she waited for his brain to reboot.

"That uniform is so nice." Chuck said rather blankly making Sarah laugh hard into his chest.

"So it's settled? Cole Barker dating your mom is officially weird?" Sarah asked trying to settle the matter once and for all.

"Completely weird and slightly disturbing, but if they're happy then who am I to judge?" Chuck said as his hand drew little circles on her back.

"Yeah, they seemed so happy together; who knows, maybe she'll make an honest man out of him?" Sarah said trying to silence the laugh that so desperately wanted to escape as she practically heard the record scratch inside Chuck's head.

"I'm not calling him dad if they get married." Chuck said with a seriousness and finality that broke Sarah, she couldn't help it and laughed loudly into his shoulder hoping not to wake the twins. After a short pause Chuck joined her unable to get over the absurdity of the conversation they were having. Sarah settled back down into her spot and spoke once again.

"I love you Chuck, so, so much; never forget that." Sarah said seriously.

"Rivers and roads babe, rivers and roads." Chuck said in reply and kissed her on the top of the head as he closed his eyes to finally sleep after a long day.

"Get plenty of sleep Chuck, because tomorrow Ellie and Devon are taking the twins for the day, so it'll just be you and me all day." Sarah said lazily as she relaxed into Chuck who simply sighed contently as he imagined the idea of a day off, he loved his children, but they were a handful.

"That sounds nice."

"Just think, there's still three rooms in this house that we haven't had sex in yet and tomorrow I plan on checking off all three." Sarah said with a knowing smile as she felt her husband tense, his brain was no doubt rebooting once again so Sarah simply closed her eyes and settled in for a much-needed sleep. For Chuck the situation was different, whereas he'd been close to sleep, now he was wide awake as the possible scenarios for tomorrows supposed amorous activities played out in his head. With a dark crimson blush Chuck had one final thought before he settled in for the night once again…

"She'll be the death of me, but what a way to go."

The End

CHARMING'S AUTHORS NOTE #2: Okay so that was a thing, you can blame nevr and jwatkins for this farce lol, it's all their fault. I'm thinking of holding onto this universe in some fashion much like David Carner's "Mollyverse" but I don't have a name picked out for what i'll call this universe so if y'all have ideas feel free to let me know in the reviews.

CHARMING'S AUTHORS NOTE #3: If you wish to opine feel free to leave a review, I really appreciate them all, good or bad as they help me gauge what the readers think of my work. For a lot of us writers it's a long and draining process to write something like this so your reviews really mean a lot.

UNTIL NEXT TIME :D
