All Might scowled as he waited with the rest of the Pros, watching the warehouse closely. The entirety of the Kamino Ward police department, along with the departments of five other wards, were behind them, waiting for the Heroes to make the first move.
"This is ridiculous," Endeavor growled, keeping his flames as low as possible without extinguishing them, "We should move in already."
"If this Villain is who I think it is, then we can't just run in," All Might hummed in reply, "He's…powerful."
"We've completed an initial sweep of the area and a covert investigation of the inside of the warehouse," Tsukauchi muttered beside them as he pressed a hand to his ear, "The inside is full of tanks. Each containing one of those Nomu things."
"Anything else?" All Might muttered, his scowl deepening as the detective shook his head, "Dammit."
At that, a beam of light shot down from the sky, the sound of a helicopter echoing through the air, the Heroes all looking up in surprise. Several helicopters flew through the air above them, spotlights shining down and searching the streets around them, many focusing on the warehouse, as if they knew where the Heroes were planning to strike.
"What's going on?" Edgeshot muttered, "Those are News choppers. How the hell did they find out about th-?"
"ALL MIGHT!" the voice rang out across the quiet street, the Pro stiffening as he heard it, Gran Torino beside him letting out a quiet hiss, "I TRUST YOU ARE HERE? GOOD. I WONDER, HAVE YOU FOUND YOUR SUCCESSOR YET?"
"Successor?" Endeavor growled, looking over at the frozen No. 1 Hero, "Who is this person? And what are they talking about?"
"NEVER MIND IF YOU HAVEN'T, THAT'S NOT WHY WE ARE HERE TODAY," the voice laughed, Tsukauchi talking into his earpiece as he grabbed All Might by the arm.
"All Might," he hissed, "The Nomu are moving!"
"WE ARE HERE TO CELEBRATE!" the voice continued, "CELEBRATE A MOMENTOUS DAY! TO CELEBRATE THE DAY OF YOUR DEFEAT!"
A silence descended on the crowd of Heroes, all who could turning to look at All Might in confusion.
"NOMU," the voice rang out, "KILL THEM ALL."
And the warehouse erupted into a ball of flame.
"-the destruction of a large portion of Kamino Ward last night after the Heroes were lured into what appears to have been a trap set by a hither-to unknown Villain," Izuku blinked awake, staring up at the familiar cream tiles of the school infirmary, tilting his head slowly towards the source of the sound, Recovery Girl watching a small television on her desk, "The Villain claimed that it would be the defeat of All Might, however, the No. 1 Hero is still active, though reported to be injured after taking down a large number of the creatures that emerged from the warehouse. They appear to be the same creatures that were involved in the attack on Hosu-."
The sound cut out as Recovery Girl switched the volume off, turning around with a sigh as she hopped off her chair. Izuku blinked as she looked over at him, the elderly woman blinking back at him in surprise.
"Well, it's about damn time," she muttered, walking slowly over to his bedside, "You've been unconscious for almost four days, young man. What do you have to say for yourself?"
"What happened?" he rasped, the woman holding out a glass of water with a straw for him to sip from.
"I should be the one asking that question," Recovery Girl sighed, "Eraserhead brought you here the evening after the attack on the Training Camp with a missing arm and your Sire. We invited those of your classmates who were healthy enough to come donate blood to assist in your recovery."
"No…on the news…" Izuku cleared his throat as he spoke, looking back over to the screen, more images of the destroyed warehouse and surrounding area being shown.
"You don't need to worry about that," Recovery Girl muttered as she pulled the curtain that surrounded the bed to hide the TV, "You should be more worried about those two."
"Huh?" Izuku stared at her for a moment as she pointed to his right arm, turning his head slowly as he stared at Ochako and Tsuyu, both asleep on the side of his bed, hands clasping onto his right hand, "Why?"
"I couldn't get them to leave," Recovery Girl growled as she walked over to the door, opening it, and calling someone inside, "They stayed the entire time your arm was regenerating. That reminds me, how in the hells did you lose an arm?"
"Shiga…raki," Izuku muttered as he continued to watch the two girls, a strange sense of relief washing through him as he watched them sleep, "He used his quirk on my arm, I had to cut it off…I think?"
"You…YOU WHAT?!" Recovery Girl shouted, smacking him on the head with her cane, "YOU CUT OFF YOUR OWN ARM? WHY IN THE HELLS WOULD YOU DO THAT?!"
"Huh?" Ochako jumped at the older woman's shout, Tsuyu shifting awake beside her as the two slowly rose and looked around in surprise, "IZUKU!"
The teen smiled at her as she stared at him, tears welling up in her eyes as she reached forwards, hands grabbing the sides of his head. And then she was kissing him. Deeply. She moaned slightly into the kiss as she pushed herself more onto the bed, Izuku slipping his arms instinctively around her waist as their lips broke apart, both panting slightly.
"Oh, my goodness!" a quiet voice said behind them as Ochako slipped off the bed, both looking at Inko Midoriya in surprise, "My baby boy is growing up so fast!"
Ochako just smiled sheepishly as she stepped aside, allowing Tsuyu to almost throw herself on top of Izuku, pressing her own lips tightly against his as she let out a pleasurable croaking sound.
"Maybe a little too fast," Inko muttered as she watched in surprise.
"Hello ma'am," Ochako said as she held out her hand as she nodded towards Tsuyu, who seemed determined to keep her lips on Izuku's even as the boy began to flail slightly, "It's good to see you again. About this, it's...well...we're sort of-."
"Izuku's "Brides", correct?" the two girls jumped at the sudden voice, even Recovery Girl looking startled as Sire appeared from nowhere, Inko and Izuku showing no reaction, "He has told me much about the two of you. He has been quite, for lack of a better word, distressed about certain aspects of your relationship."
"Sire!" Izuku gasped as he was finally able to breath, Tsuyu still straddling his lap, "You…but…You can't just say that!"
"And why not?" the man hummed, Izuku sure he could see a mischievous smile beneath the heavy hood, "They seem to have made their feelings for you clear. It is well past time that you make yours apparent as well."
"But…but…" the teen muttered, starting slightly as Ochako slipped her hand into his, smiling at him as Tsuyu slipped her arms around his neck, "I…okay…but can we…can we go to the roof?"
All Might knew that voice. The face behind it. The smile.
And he moved.
Six of the Nomu jumped on All Might as he charged towards the wreckage of the warehouse, throwing them off even as more began to appear out of mid-air in a shower of black slime. He slammed a fist into one of the monsters, the punch passing straight through its skull, obliterating it in a single strike. The corpse dropped like a sack of bricks, not even twitching as All Might charged ahead. One of the creatures on his back screamed as its arm was wrenched off, causing it to fall, grabbing madly at the others, taking another with it. The last of the Nomu were shook off just as he reached the center of the destroyed building, slammed into piles of rubble or skewered on broken steel supports. All Might raised his fist above his head as he spotted the telltale signs of a hidden entrance, preparing to smash it right open.
All Might had recognized that voice. And he couldn't let the owner escape!
"I think…I think I mind controlled you into liking me!"
The two girls stared at him in shock as they sat on one of the benches of the seating area on the roof of the building. They'd just barely made it onto the roof before he'd blurted out the words, causing both girls to fall back in surprise.
"I wouldn't really call it mind control, kero," Tsuyu hummed, "I mean, I know my own feelings pretty well, and I don't think you-."
"No, you don't understand!" Izuku sighed, starting to pace in front of them, "I…I can subtly influence people. I think…I think when I drank from the two of you before…I made it so you'd want me to drink from you again…And that's…that's made you…like me more."
The two girls watched the boy pacing back and forth, his voice dropping as he began to mutter to himself, both glancing at each other in worry.
"Izuku," they said together, surprising themselves and the boy, who stopped muttering, before Tsuyu continued, "It's never felt like that."
"Felt like what?" Izuku blinked.
"Like we wanted you to drink our blood. That was…just part of helping you, kero," she hummed, pressing a finger to her cheek, "It's more like…when I think of you, I start to feel really calm, like there's nothing to worry about."
"Exactly!" Ochako piped up, nodding her head vigorously, "Do you remember that first Hero Training Exercise? It was like that for me! I almost laughed at Iida, then I thought about you fighting Bakugo and I got really calm!"
"It hasn't stopped you from getting embarrassed every time someone asks if you're in a relationship with Izuku, kero," Tsuyu chuckled as Ochako went bright red, waving her hands frantically in front of her.
"T-that's different! T-those are my feelings! I still get flustered about those and…and…why do I get flustered about those?" she spluttered, blinking in confusion as she lowered her hands, "I mean, it is about Izuku, but I still…"
"Maybe it's because it's your feelings," Izuku said, hand on his chin as he slowly sank back into muttering, "It's not that you're thinking about me, it's that you're thinking about your feelings towards me. Does that create enough of a disconnect to counteract the calming sensation? Apparently so, but how? And why?"
The two girls laughed as he immediately fell into the mutter storm, surprising him out of it quickly as he looked at them in confusion.
"Wait," he said slowly, "But if Ochako still gets embarrassed, why don't you, Tsuyu?"
"Because I know my own feelings pretty well, I think, kero," the girl shrugged, hopping up and walking over to Izuku, wrapping her arms around his neck, "I'm pretty blunt with what I say and feel, and I tend to act on my feelings. And I feel like I like you, Izuku."
"Oh," the green-haired teen mumbled as his face flushed, looking away as the girl giggled at him, "Well…uhm…there's…there's something I want to try."
"What?" the two girls asked in unison, eyebrows raised in suspicion as Tsuyu stepped back.
"N-no! N-nothing like that! I swear!" Izuku felt his blush burn brighter as he stumbled over his words, "I just…it's to do with the Influence! I think I can remove it!"
"Remove it?" Tsuyu croaked, looking at him in confusion, "Why?"
"Because…" Izuku trailed off, looking down as he spoke, "Because I…I feel like I'm manipulating you two into liking me. That I'm…I'm messing with your heads and that if I hadn't things would have been different."
"Oh," the two girls said, looking at each other as the young man shifted nervously from foot to foot, Ochako continuing, "So…you want to…try remove it? So, we'll know if our feelings are genuine?"
"S-something like that," Izuku mumbled.
"Okay, do me first," Tsuyu said, grabbing Izuku by the hand and pulling him over to the bench, sitting him between the two girls, "I'm pretty sure I'll feel the same no matter what. And I've accepted my feelings for you."
"What does that mean, Tsu?" Ochako asked, staring at her friend in confusion.
"You'll see," the frog-like girl said mischievously.
"Uhm…okay, I'm going to try this now," Izuku said as Tsuyu stared into his eyes.
She shivered as she felt a wave of calm wash over her mind, similar to how it had felt that first time in the USJ. Except this time the calm seemed to have some objective, feeling as though it was pulsing through her head in waves, focusing on a particular part of her mind as she felt her breath quickening. And just as suddenly as it had come, it was gone, Tsuyu feeling strangely empty as she blinked, her eyes aching slightly from having been kept open the entire time.
"Ow," Izuku said as he rubbed his own eyes, "I think I'm going to need eye-drops like Aizawa-sensei if I have to do this too often."
"Did it…work?" Ochako asked as the two teens chuckled, a worried look on her face as Tsuyu looked up at the sky as if in thought.
"Huh," she said, blinking a few times as she looked back at the two of them, "I don't feel as calm as I did before when I thought about Izuku."
"What do you mean "as calm", Tsu," Izuku asked, a look of worry flashing over his face, "Did I not get all of it? Is there still an effect? I can try again-."
"No, that's not what I meant," the girl said as she pressed her finger against his lips, "What I mean is it's a different kind of calm. The calm of knowing I like you."
"I-!" Izuku shrieked, his head going bright red as he stared at Tsuyu in shock, "How can you just say that?!"
"Because I like you," the girl repeated, "I like you. I like you. I like you. So, you had better get used to it."
"Oh," Izuku squeaked, licking his lips slightly as the girl smiled at him, "Okay."
"Okay?" Ochako gasped, smacking Izuku lightly on the back of the head, "She just told you she likes you, and all you can say is "okay"?"
"I'm sorry!" Izuku spluttered, "This…this hasn't really happened to me before!"
"Except with that fangirl," Ochako muttered.
"Except with those fangirls," Izuku nodded in agreement.
"Fangirls?" Tsuyu asked as he sat bolt upright, "I thought it was just the one?"
"Oh! I had better do Ochako now!" Izuku near shouted, turning to face her as she gave him an unimpressed look, "Sorry."
The calming feeling washed over Ochako's mind, filling her head as she shuddered slightly. It barely felt like a moment before the sensation pulsed through her head, latching onto something, and pulling back, the feeling withdrawing all at once. She blinked, suddenly aware of the lack of something in her mind, but not what.
"Wow, you two were staring at each other for almost two minutes," Tsuyu hummed, "Is that how long Izuku and I were looking? No wonder our eyes hurt, kero."
"I…uh…yeah…" Ochako muttered as she blinked her aching eyes, turning away slowly.
"So?" Tsuyu asked, a knowing look on her face, "How do you feel?"
"Fine," Ochako replied.
"Not about that," Tsuyu chuckled, "About Izuku."
"Oh, I-," her voice caught in her throat, the sliver of calm that would usually line the embarrassing thoughts that filled her mind gone, her head blanking out as she tried to figure out just how she actually felt, "I…"
"I…?" Izuku asked slowly as she turned to look at him, her face quickly turning red.
"I'M SORRY!"
Izuku sat stunned as she bolted from the bench, shooting through the door, and vanishing down the stairs, leaving the other two teens sitting in surprised silence.
"I was expecting her to be embarrassed," Tsuyu muttered, "But not that embarrassed."
The underground tunnels tasted of dank and mildew, though the air was far too fresh for the place to have been abandoned any time but recently. All Might clenched his teeth as he tore another Nomu in half, barely aware of what he was doing as he raced through the maze-like corridors. He didn't have time. Barely half an hour left. He had to find where that bastard was hiding. He slammed though a set of double doors and stopped.
"Ah, I knew you would come," the television set said calmly as the light of the screen illuminated the creature hunched over in front of it, "So I left you a little gift. Have fun."
"So, you know?" Inko asked the older woman as she handed the mother and Sire a cup of tea each.
"About the nature of your son's quirk?" Recovery Girl hummed, hopping onto her seat, "Yes. I learnt about it after an incident involving another student with a copying quirk."
"Oh," Inko hummed, "Well, I'm glad that there's at least one person on campus that knows about it."
"Two," Sire said plainly as the two women looked at him, "I informed Aizawa-san of the nature of our quirk when he came to retrieve Izuku. It seemed the most, for lack of a better word, logical, thing to do."
"HAH!" Recovery Girl let out a hearty laugh, startling the other two, "I think Eraser is going to like you."
"I certainly hope so," Sire nodded slowly, a slightly confused look flashing across his face, thankfully hidden by the hood.
The beast exploded out of the ground, All Might in its grasp as it howled, arms expanded in a mess of muscle, drills, and limbs, like something out of a horror film. It roared as it slammed All Might into the side of a building, bringing the entire structure down on top of them, the Hero barely having time to process what was going on before he was thrown through the air, nearly slamming into a News chopper just as Gran Torino caught him.
"That thing is strong," the old man growled as they landed on a nearby roof.
"Almost too strong," All Might gasped, coughing up a mouthful of blood, "Almost."
"Izuku."
The teen froze at his mother's tone of voice, recognizing it.
"I'm sorry mom," he said preemptively, "I…I know that I must have worried you. That you only heard that I was missing, then found out that I had lost an arm. So…I'm sorry. But I…I…"
"Izuku," he fell silent as she spoke again, "I was worried. I was upset. But then I received this from Recovery Girl. It's for you."
Izuku turned to face her, looking down at the letter in her hand.
To Midoriya,
Sorry I tried to punch you in the balls.
Thanks for saving me even when you didn't know me.
Get better soon so I can thank you in person.
-Kota
P.S. I can give you more blood if you really need it, even if my Aunt says I can't.
"Apparently you saved him during the Training camp," his mother sighed, "And I've heard about your…your fans from Vlad King."
"M-mom, I…"
"Izuku…" she cut him off, "I'm still upset at you, but…but you saved someone. You're already someone's Hero…and I can't take that away from you. Either of you. Not now."
"Mom…"
"I may not want you to get hurt anymore, but I can tell that this is what you want to do, so…" she looked down as tears dripped from her eyes, "So I'll try. I'll try my best to support you."
"Mom!" Izuku burst into tears as the two of them fell into a tight hug, both sending up fountains of tears, "Thank you! Thank you so much!"
All Might screamed as he drove his fist into the Nomu's head, the creature staring blankly at him as its own fist slammed into his left side. The monster had been almost exclusively going for his old wound, beating All Might back time and again.
"Not yet!" the Hero shouted, driving forwards, "NOT! YET! UNITED STATES OF SMASH!"
"Now then," Sire said, "Shall we review what powers you have?"
"Yes Sire!" Izuku said as he sat on the couch in his Sire's apartment.
"Begin," the man commanded.
"Flight is mostly unchanged, though I can fly for slightly longer now. Celerity is completely unchanged," Izuku said, "As for Blood Control…"
"I can now create hardened shapes from my blood, gained after drinking from Yaoyorozu. I can only make blade or rod-like shapes at the moment," he explained as a tendril of blood extended from his hand, taking the shape of an incredibly basic sword, "And, as long as I don't separate the hardened shape, I can return it to liquid form," he said as the sword dissolved, the blood drawing back into the wound, before it healed, "I believe that was gained from drinking from Kirishima. I can also draw the blood back into myself after drinking from…from Kota."
"Interesting," Sire muttered as he inspected Izuku's hand, "And strange."
"S-strange?" Izuku asked.
"Your Blood Control, how many tendrils could you control after first, for lack of a better word, acquiring it?"
"Only one," Izuku replied, "I managed to control two after regularly drinking from Tsuyu. With her permission!" the teen added hurriedly.
"That is what is strange," his Sire continued, "You see, when I first gained the power, I had near perfect control of all my blood. You, on the other hand, were severely weaker."
"Sire?"
"At first, I believed that this was due to your age, that you were simply less experienced. However, your powers are evolving far too quickly for that to be the case," the man stopped, looking Izuku in the eyes as he asked the next question, "How many…"enhancements" I believe you've been calling them, do you think I have on my Blood Control?"
"Oh! I have no idea, maybe a few dozen?" Izuku muttered as his hand reached for his chin.
"One," the man said, "I can harden my blood into spikes."
"What?" Izuku muttered, "But you've drunk from so many more people than I have? How, you should have a whole plethora of enhancements in that case!"
"I believe it is because your quirk is, for lack of a better word, different from mine."
"What?" Izuku said, staring at the man in disbelief, "What do you mean "different"?"
"We are not sure yet," Sire continued, "However, I was provided some, for lack of a better word, interesting information by your teachers. They are looking into the matter as we speak. Though for now, you should continue explaining your powers."
"Oh, yes!" Izuku replied, the darkness coalescing around him, "This is the power I got from Tokoyami, I've been calling it Shadow Cloak! It makes it harder to detect me in general."
"Next?"
"Blood Sight," Izuku said, his eyes beginning to glow an electric green, his pupils burning red, "It allows me to see the flow of blood inside a person, even through walls. Its range is only about five meters at the moment though."
"And you gained that from your teacher?"
"Aizawa-sensei, yes," Izuku replied.
"Good," Sire hummed, "And the last?"
Izuku froze, his Sire inspecting the young man carefully for a moment.
"Izuku. What about Ash Form?"
Izuku mumbled something, his Sire just looking down at the teen expectantly.
"I…drank from Shigaraki again…" the teen muttered, "I can…I can turn my whole body into ash now."
"Show me," his Sire said, Izuku nodding sullenly as he seemed to dissolve into the air, a cloud of ash shining in the light of the dim bulbs, before he reformed in front of the man, "Good. And do not be so troubled by how you gained the power, young one. You still have much to learn."
"Like?" Izuku perked up, looking at his Sire in expectation.
"Combining your powers."
The quiet beep of the heart monitor filled the room as Toshinori Yagi woke up, staring at the white ceiling tiles. Beside him, he heard a familiar voice.
"All Might."
The next few weeks of the summer vacation for Izuku were filled with training with his Sire. He hadn't had time to do much else after his Sire had put him on an entire new exercise and studying regime, the teen discovering that he could go almost a full six days without sleep as long as he kept consuming blood. And then slept for a full twenty-four hours on the seventh day.
He was still unsure as to what his relationship with Ochako and Tsuyu was, the frog quirked girl making a point that the two of them weren't dating "yet", and that they wouldn't be until Ochako had a handle on her own feelings. But now it was the middle of the holiday period, and Aizawa-sensei and Present Mic were sitting in his apartment explaining the new dorm system to him and his mother.
"And that's it! Kerchow!" Mic said enthusiastically, "We'd like your permission to have your son move into an on-campus dorm building with the rest of his class for their safety!"
"Oh, well, I don't know…" Inko sighed, making Izuku look at her in shock.
"Mom?!"
"Sweety, you have to understand! The last time I let them take you somewhere, you came back missing an arm!" the woman said tearfully, gripping his right hand, "And don't say it's fine just because you can grow it back. We talked about this! It's not fine! I don't want you getting even more hurt!"
"And that's exactly why we need the Heroics classes moved into on campus dorms," Aizawa said flatly, "So we can keep a watch over them and ensure that nothing bad happens to them anymore."
"Mom…" Izuku swallowed nervously as he stared at the woman, "Please."
"Fine," she said after a long pause, her eyes fixed firmly on his homeroom teacher, "But I will be holding you personally responsible for Izuku's well-being."
"Mom?!" Izuku gasped as Aizawa nodded.
"Naturally," he droned, getting up from the small couch and handing her a thick envelope, "This contains all the necessary information. UA will be sending a moving truck to your house at the end of the week. Make sure you have everything ready by then."
"Yes Sensei!" Izuku answered as he led the two teachers out of their small apartment.
"Oh, and Midoriya?" Aizawa muttered.
"Yes, Sensei?"
"You just had to give me a whole bunch of extra work, didn't you? Well, I expect you to work just as hard."
"P-pardon?"
"Please, consider-,"
"No. Not yet," Toshinori said forcefully, even as blood dripped from his lips, "Not until I know he's been caught!"
"Holy shit," Hizashi muttered as he got into the driver's seat, "She was more terrifying than the Bakugo woman!"
"She's a caring mother worrying about her child," Shota muttered as he shifted down in the seat, closing his eyes to nap until they reached the next home, "It's only natural."
"Just like you, huh?" Hizashi chuckled.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Shota growled as he cracked an eye open to glare at the blond beside him, who was giving him a knowing grin, "I hate you."
"Liar!" Hizashi laughed as he started the car, "You wouldn't have married me if you did!"
"Which student are we going to next?" Shota grumbled, turning away from the blond.
"Todoroki," Hizashi sighed, "I called ahead. We're meeting with his older sister, who's acting as his legal guardian. Has been for a few years now."
"Ah, and Endeavor…?"
"Hasn't been to the house while the investigation is ongoing," Hizashi growled slightly as he spoke about the No. 2 Hero, "Apparently."
"That's good. Wake me when we get there," Shota sighed as he settled back into the seat, his mind drifting to what Bakugo had said after the two of them had left his house.
"Oi, Sensei," the blond called as the teachers walked out the gate, "How's that fucking De-...How's Midoriya?"
The way the teen drew out his other student's name, as though it were a foreign word in his mouth, made Shota raise an eyebrow.
"I wouldn't know, we're going to see him next," Shota had replied, "Why? Do you have something you want us to pass on to him?"
Bakugo stood silently for a moment, before shaking his head and turning away, "I just… he lost an arm and…no, it's nothing. Shitty nerd is probably fine."
Shota nodded as he recognized the expression on Bakugo's face, "Remember, you start with counselling again once the term starts. Maybe you can talk to Hound Dog about it."
"I fucking know!" the teen barked as he stomped through the door, glaring back at his teachers for a moment before slamming it shut.
"It's an honor to meet you, All Might!" the muscular blond said confidently as he walked into the room, barely pausing as he looked at the frail man in front of him, "Sir has told me a lot about you."
"We're here," Hizashi hummed, shaking Shota awake as they pulled up outside the large traditional complex, "Damn, look at what being No. 2 can get you. This place is massive."
"Don't get jealous," Shota sighed as he got out of the car, stretching slightly as he nodded towards the gate, "Let's get this over with."
"Hello?" the female voice said from the intercom speaker as they rang the bell, "Are you Shoto's teachers? They said you'd be coming today."
"Yes, that's us," Shota said as the speaker clicked, the gate beside them letting out a loud buzzing sound as it opened.
"Fancy," Hizashi huffed as they walked in, walking through the traditional garden as the front door slid open, a young woman with snow white hair, several points highlighted bright red, greeting them as they approached.
"Hello, my name is Fuyumi Todoroki, I'm Shoto's legal guardian," Fuyumi introduced herself, welcoming them into the house, leading them through the house to a lounge, "I hope everything is going well. The person on the phone sounded very serious."
"Everything is quite alright," Shota replied politely as they sat around the short table, "Really, we should be asking you how your brother is doing. He was directly involved in the incident at the Training camp."
"Not to mention the investigation into his dead-beat dad…" Hizashi muttered under his breath, squeaking when Shota elbowed him in the ribs.
"Oh, Shoto is doing surprisingly well," Fuyumi said, smiling slightly sadly, "He's been…more comfortable now that our father isn't around the house anymore."
"That's…good," Shota said slowly, before reaching into his bag and pulling out a thick envelope, "This is all the information about the new dorm system. We'd like to get your permission for-."
"Yes," the monotone voice cut him off as Shoto pulled open the door, a tray of drinks in his hands as he walked into the room, "I accept."
"Shoto!" Fuyumi gasped, "You can't interrupt people like that! And they were asking me!"
"I'm going, whether you say yes or not," Shoto replied flatly, sitting beside his sister.
"I'm so sorry," Fuyumi sighed, "He's been more…assertive lately. Ever since the Sports Festival. Though he calmed down a bit after the term ended."
Shoto just nodded as his sister seemed to deflate slightly.
"Well, in that case, I don't see why not," she muttered, accepting the form from Shota and filling it in before signing it with the family stamp, "I just hope you'll be able to help him grow more."
"That's our job," Shota said as he handed the thick envelope to Fuyumi, allowing himself to be led out of the house and down the garden path by Shoto.
"He's going to be there, isn't he?" the hetero-chromatic teen asked.
" "He"?" Hizashi asked, "Who are you talking about?"
"Midoriya," Shoto answered.
"He is," Shota muttered, "I hope you've sorted out…whatever it was that was between you."
"We…we have. Somewhat," Shoto nodded as Shota and Hizashi watched him closely, "He's…he's more of a rival now, I suppose."
"OOH, a heated rivalry between men!" Hizashi laughed loudly, "I like the sound of that! It'll help motivate the two of you to grow to even greater heights!"
Shoto just nodded as he let them out the gate, bowing to the teachers as they headed towards their car.
"Damn, that kid could really do to emote more," Hizashi sighed, "Are you sure you don't want to recommend he see Hound Dog as well?"
"He needs to seek that help for himself," Shota replied as they got back into the car, sinking back into the seat, "Wake me when we get to the next house."
"Young Togata…" Toshinori muttered as the young man talked animatedly beside him, the teen falling silent almost instantly, "I have a question for you."
It was the middle of August as Izuku and his mother stood just inside their apartment, exchanging tearful goodbyes.
"I still don't like this," Inko Midoriya said as her son wiped his eyes, "But I'm going to let you go."
"Thank you, mom," Izuku mumbled, "I promise I'll look after myself!"
"Don't do anything too…drastic," Inko called as he walked out of their apartment, "Especially with those two girls!"
"MOM!" Izuku shrieked as he spun and stared at her in shock.
"Think about it."
It was all he could say as the young man left the room, a strange look on his face.
"WOW!" "IT'S HUGE" "SO COOL"
The class cheered as they looked up at their new dorm building, the fresh paint shining in the early afternoon sun.
"Now then, class 1-A, I'm glad to see you're all here," Aizawa said as he walked out of the building and stood in front of them, "I'll give you an overview of your new dorms in a moment, but before that there's something important I need to tell you. The training camp was meant to get you your provisional licenses, and that's still the goal."
"Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that!" "I totally forgot after everything that happened."
"We'll discuss it more tomorrow. Alright you lot, get inside," Aizawa barked as the student filed in, the man grabbing Izuku by the shoulder and pulling him back, "We need to talk quickly."
"Sensei?"
"I should expel you for what you pulled," he growled, Izuku immediately blanching as he stared up at the man, "You followed the Villains through a portal into unknown territory and directly engaged their leader. An action which resulted in you losing a limb."
"But Sensei, I-."
"No, Midoriya," the man cut him off, "Your mother put me in charge of your well-being, and I intend to honor that. So, from now on, you do not go chasing Villains without the proper orders! Understood?"
"I…yes, Sensei," the teen muttered.
"Good, now get inside," Aizawa sighed as they turned towards the building, seeing Bakugo standing outside the door, watching them, "What is it Bakugo?"
"Nothing," the blond muttered as he turned away and entered the dorm.
"Has he said anything to you, Mirai?"
"Not as of yet," the Pro replied, "He seems to be taking the whole situation into great consideration."
"That's good," Toshinori hummed, "I just hope he decides soon."
Tomura Shigaraki sat on the old couch, staring blankly out from behind the hand on his face as he unconsciously tapped a finger against his prosthetic leg, clicking against the metal through the hole in the knee of his pants. The rest of the League of Villains lounged on a variety of other chairs or boxes around him, the entire group quiet as they watched the small television on the table in front of them. After a moment, the static of the screen faded out, a cut out silhouette with the banner "Audio Only" appearing on the screen. Shigaraki sat forwards as the screen changed, his breathing getting heavier.
"Sensei," his voice dry and scratchy, his throat still aching from the unexpected transportation, "I want to kill him."
"All In good time, Tomura Shigaraki," the voice said from the screen, "All in good time. For now, we need you to grow on your own. As such, I will be cutting you off from my resources for a short time."
"Sensei?" the man hissed, "Did I do something wrong?"
"No, of course not," the voice chuckled, "And even if you did, I would still be there for you. No, this is to help you grow. I will provide you with a small stipend to support your League, and the Doctor will still be available, but other than that, you will need to increase your power on your own. Do well and I shall have a special gift ready for you."
"Yes, Sensei," Shigaraki mumbled as the screen went black, before the static came back.
"So, that was the real boss, huh?" Dabi muttered as Shigaraki got to his feet, crutch clutched in his hand as he hobbled towards a nearby door, "Damn, he even sounds…strong. Who is he?"
"Someone more powerful than you could imagine," Kurogiri hummed as he watched Shigaraki leave the room, "A man close enough to the gods for there to be no difference."
"Wow, fancy," Toga muttered as she played on her phone, absentmindedly picking at the bandages on her mostly healed arm, "Hey, can we get something to eat?"
"Yeah, I'm stuffed! And starving!" Twice shouted as he hopped off his seat on an old box.
"I could go for a pizza," Spinner muttered.
"What are you? A turtle?" Magne laughed as she punched him in the shoulder.
"Very well," Kurogiri said, pulling out his own phone, "I shall order."
He was quickly drowned out by the argument that erupted around what toppings to get.
"All Might, I've made my decision!"
"And?"
