Akechi has nothing but sorrow in his heart.
No matter what he did he felt like it was never enough.
Even if it meant standing on a land of bodies, even if it made him a hypocrite it didn't matter.
As long as someone needed him it was enough.
As long as he felt as his existence was needed it was enough.
He tucks the pain deep within himself, never letting anyone see.
Or so that was the case, the phantom thieves saw him at his worst.
He hates them and himself for that. More so himself.
He hates how their existence makes all he's done useless.
Akechi is just another puppet in society, and he despises that.
The nightmares grow tirelessly.
Alone. Unloved. Unneeded.
Like a ghost no one sees the real Goro Akechi.
This hell he lives in was created by his "father".
If not for him then there'd be no need for any of this.
He hates Shido. Loathes him. Wants to see him in agony and kick him down when he's at his peak.
In the end he was just another tool. Akechi knew this from the beginning.
But he wanted. No desired to be needed by someone that he became a monster.
A monster that Shido created.
Goro Awakens in a cold sweat. Another nightmare it seemed.
He wanted to stop the tears, but they fell from his face either way.
This is the hell that was created for him, and there's no way out.
"Someone... Anyone.." Akechi desperately thought. He was afraid of being alone again. Of being unwanted. Not another day.
He soon felt familiar arms wrapping around him.
Haru Okumura. The daughter of the men he killed, as well as the only one keeping him somewhat sane.
"Its ok Akechi-Kun you did nothing wrong." Haru said comforting Goro.
He didn't speak back, he was choked on by sorrow and guilt to respond.
Haru's hand roamed through Akechi's hair, she held his hand firmly.
"Its ok. I promise I'll never leave your side." Haru said to him sincerely.
Akechi felt himself calming down, albeit he was still shaken up.
"You've suffered so much, but I swear I'll NEVER let you feel that pain again." Haru said with conviction, Her hands going for Akechi's face wiping any tears away.
"I'm sorry Haru..." Akechi said In a low voice.
Haru kissed his forehead, "Don't be sorry, Know that no matter how painful it may be, I'll be there to shoulder your pain."
Akechi felt like he didn't deserve any of this. A warm bed to sleep on, being loved and needed, and most of all Haru.
Akechi lied back down holding onto Haru slim frame firmly.
"I'm not going anywhere, I swear it." She whispered as her arms snaked around Akechi's waste holding him tightly.
Tomorrow would be another day for Akechi. The scars on his heart will never go away.
But he was needed, and loved now and that's all that mattered.
No matter how painful tomorrow may be, he won't be alone. So long as he has Haru.
Authors Comment: Wanted to do some drabble for AkeHaru since Akechi is the best character in the game and must be protected at all costs. And I honestly like this ship.
