Shizukana's P.O.V.
We reached Tazuna's house and was greeted by a young woman in her early 30s with black hair.
She hugged Tazuna. "Father, you're home."
She looked over to us and her smile disappeared to replace a frown. She glanced over at Kakashi Sensei who was unconscious and rushed us inside.
She led us to a room where Sensei could rest.
"My name is Tsunami. I just want to thank you for keeping my father safe." She said making us all nod.
Sensei was resting on a futon in the middle of the room while the rest of us sat around him.
This was the perfect time to look at my injury.
My wrist had swollen and turned a purplish-blue. The joint was dislocated. If I could replace it in its original position maybe the pain would decrease.
Kinda regretting not taking Medical Ninjutsu seriously.
I closed my eyes and snapped my wrist back sending a jolting pain through my right arm. The snapping sound made Naruto and Sasuke look at me and wince.
I opened my eyes and looked at my wrist. It looked a bit better. Now to try and heal it.
I looked at the two boys who were also looking at me. "Anyone know medical Ninjutsu?" I asked making the both of them shake their heads.
I nodded in response and closed my eyes. Remember. What was exactly written in the scroll?
I tried to remember what exactly was needed to do to heal the joint.
Focus your yin or yang chakra to your palm and then place your palm onto the injury.
I sighed in frustration. I can't do it. The book doesn't give me enough details. I wish I read Mother's medical scrolls.
When I opened my eyes, I found Naruto leaning against Kakashi Sensei and his hand was hovering against the mask on Sensei's face.
Suddenly, Sensei opened his eyes and sat up. Making all of us jump back in surprise.
The door opened pulling all our attention to Tsunami-san.
"Oh Sensei, you're awake." She said. "I am Tsunami. Tazuna is my father. She said after noticing Sensei's confusion.
"Your Sharingan is amazing and all, but if it puts that much of a strain on you, then maybe it's not worth it," I said making Sensei look at me and apologize.
Tsunami-san handed Sensei a glass of water which he gladly took. She then turned towards me. "I might not know how to heal but I hope this can help." She said giving me a bandage.
I kindly took it and started wrapping my hand. "It's just a sprain." I said making her nod.
I looked up to find Sensei staring at my wrist. Both of us made eye contact and he had guilt in his eyes.
"I apologize for not helping you when you were pulled underwater," Sensei said.
I looked at him and waved him off. "I had that under control, but I do think that Zabuza has an accomplice."
Everyone in the room looked at me. "When I fell into the water, someone wearing a mask grabbed my leg and pulled me underwater," I explained. "I managed to kick the person and it was a shadow clone. So he or she may be working with Zabuza."
"Did he look around our age?" Sasuke asked.
I nodded.
Sensei hummed in recognition. "When I was about to finish Zabuza off, a tracker Ninja interrupted me and hit Zabuza in the neck with two Senbon. I checked his vitals and found no heartbeat. the main problem was that all tracker Ninjas destroy their target on the spot to prevent any miscalculations."
Tazuna entered the room and sat near the door.
"Senbon to the neck doesn't kill anyone. I mean, the user needs extreme precision to hit the nerves. But attacking the neck with a senbon can put someone in a near-death state which can cause a low heartbeat." I thought aloud.
Sasuke nodded in agreement.
"Aren't you guys reading into this too much. That Zabuza guy might just be dead." Tazuna said nervously.
"It's best being prepared for any attack. I need a week to get back into my full health and Zabuza needs time to heal. We need to get stronger if we are planning to take Zabuza on once again." Sensei said making everyone nod in agreement.
"But how are we going to get stronger if you can't move?" Naruto asked Sensei.
"Who helped get out of the trap? All of you have grown. Especially you, Naruto." Sensei said making Naruto beam in pride.
"Ahh, so you've finally noticed, eh Sensei." Naruto said with a wolfish grin.
Kakashi Sensei chuckled.
"We will begin training tomorrow. I need some rest and Shizukana has to heal her wrist." He said.
I nodded. "Tomorrow will be interesting." I said with a tired sigh.
"No! You're all going to die." A young voice erupted from the door.
I looked to the door to find a kid with blue overalls and a blue and white hat.
"Inari, where were you?" Tazuna asked the boy.
"Grandfather, you're back." The boy said hugging Tazuna.
"Inari, don't be rude. They are the ninja who brought back Grandpa home safely." Tsunami-san scolded the boy who just glared at us.
"It's alright, I'm rude to them too." Tazuna said making me give him and unimpressed look.
"But Mom, they are going to die." Inari said walking to his mother. "Gato will kill them all."
"What did you say, brat?" Naruto asked in anger.
"You think a little bit of training is going to help you defeat Gato?" The kid asked sarcastically. "Just go back to where you came from."
I watched as Naruto lunge at the kid. Fortunately, Sasuke was there to stop him.
"Naruto, he's just a kid." I told the blond who looked at me and turned his head to glare at Inari.
"Though, he speaks words that should not come out of a child." I said making the kid glare at me.
He turned around and walked out of the room.
"Inari, where are you going?" Tazuna called out to the boy.
"To look at the ocean." The kid said before slamming the door.
Naruto pulled away from Sasuke went to the door. "I'm gonna show him."
"Naruto, remember he's just a kid. Don't be too harsh." Sensei said.
Naruto waved him off.
The room was filled with an awkward atmosphere.
"I'll let you all rest now." Tsunami-san said before leaving the room with Tazuna in tow.
Sasuke sighed before sitting down and I slumped against the wall.
I carefully laid my hand on my lap and closed my eyes.
"Shizukana, you need to heal your wrist. If you leave it like that, then it might get worse." Sensei said making me open my eyes and look at him.
"I don't know how to." I said making Sensei sigh in thought.
"I'm not skilled in medical Ninjutsu but I might be able to help." Sensei said.
I shook my head. "You are low on chakra. We need you up and about. If you use your chakra now, it will slow down the healing process." I said making Sensei nod his head slowly.
"Shall I explain how to do it. You might be able to do something." Sensei said making me look at him with a suspicious look. I felt Sasuke do the same but he looked at me.
Does he know something? Certainly the Hokage must have told him that I'm not an ordinary Genin.
I nodded my head.
Kakashi Sensei's P.O.V
"First, concentrate on tapping into your spiritual chakra. Yin chakra speeds up the healing." I said as Shizukana closed her eyes. "Now, gather that chakra into your left palm."
Sasuke and I leaned in closer to watch as Shizukana's left hand glowed in a soft green colour.
"Place that hand in your injury and concentrate in fixing the crack. Make sure you steady the flow of chakra." I said watching the green glow spread all over her injured wrist.
Suddenly she stopped. She opened her eyes and stretched her wrist flinching.
"It's much better than before. Didn't actually think that would work." Shizukana said with a chuckle.
I nodded in deep thought. How? With no experience in medical Ninjutsu, how did she get that right with a little detail? The hokage was right. She is no ordinary Genin.
I shook my head and laid back down on the futon. Tomorrow's gonna be a long day.
A/N. Heyyyy. Hope you enjoyed the chapter. Didn't actually have any interesting conversation but we got to see Shizukana's ability to adapt.
Ciao..
