Shizukana's P.O.V
I woke up to find Naruto and Sasuke asleep.
I stood up and got my clothes. I closed the bathroom door.
I looked into the mirror to find my reflection staring back at me.
I sighed before changing into my everyday clothes. I washed my face and stepped out to face Sasuke.
"Good morning." I greeted him before stepping out of the way.
He grunted while closing the door.
I shrugged my shoulders before making my way to the living room.
I found Sensei and Tazuna seated on the couch while Tsunami-san was in the kitchen.
"Good morning, Shizukana-chan." Sensei greeted.
I greeted in response.
I sat down on one of the chairs.
"Is Sasuke or Naruto awake?" Sensei asked me.
I looked at him and nodded. "Sasuke is awake but I'm not sure about Naruto."
I noticed the crutches next to Sensei. Chakra Exhaustion can do real damage.
After a few minutes, Sasuke walked through the door with a yawning Naruto behind him.
"Good morning everyone," Naruto yelled making me and Kakashi wince.
We had breakfast and then left the house for training.
"Now what do we know about Chakra?" Sensei asked. "The basic power source of a Ninja."
"We already know about that," Sasuke said making Naruto agree.
"Yeah, we know about Chatora," Naruto said making Sensei sigh.
"Its Chakra not Chatora," Sensei said. "Shizukana, why don't you explain."
I pointed at myself before sighing. "Chakra is an elemental life energy a ninja uses in his jutsus. Its the source of all his power. Now, Chakra is divided into two parts Spiritual and Physical or Yin and Yang Chakra. Physical Chakra exists in all the cells of a working body. Both the cells and the chakra work together to run the human body. Spiritual Chakra is the primal source of power which can be strengthened through training and experience." I paused for a moment. "To perform a jutsu, one must balance both spiritual and Physical chakra. Handsigns help us focus and unleash the chakra to perform Jutsu."
"Well said," Sensei said ruffling my hair. Kinda cliche and don't touch my hair.
"But what's the whole speech for? We already know this stuff." Naruto said.
"For once I agree with him." Sasuke agreed to my surprise. "We're already using Chakra energy in our jutsus."
"No, you haven't mastered this power. You've barely scratched the surface." Sensei said making the boys look at Sensei in confusion.
"Listen, when performing a jutsu, one must balance the amount of energy needed for the task. Each Jutsu requires different kinds of chakra with different proportions. At this stage, you've only guessed the amount of Chakra needed, hoping they'd work. In a real battle, you can't afford Chakra Exhaustion. If so, then you will be a walking target. Plus, if your jutsu doesn't contain the right amount of Chakra, it'll only be a joke." Sensei explained.
"How do we do that?" Naruto asked nervously.
"You need to train hard so your chakra control has become your second nature." Sensei said while turning to the tree behind. "To do that, we are going to climb this tree. With no hands."
Naruto and Sasuke blinked in confusion while I on the other hand nodded in approval. If they manage to master this then their jutsu's will skyrocket in strength.
"How do we do that?" Naruto asked.
"By channeling chakra to your feet." Sensei said as he started walking up the tree, vertically with crutches.
Naruto and Sasuke gaped at the sight of their Sensei defying the laws of physics.
Sensei came to a halt as he was standing upside down on a branch. "Pick a tree and focus your chakra onto your feet. Its best of you run to get momentum. Use the kuni to mark your place." Sensei said while throwing 3 kuni near our feet.
I picked up my kuni and walked to the tree right next to Sensei's one. I looked back to find Naruto and Sasuke doing the same.
Since I've had years of practice, this was a walk in the park for me. I gathered chakra at my feet and started walking up the tree with ease.
From the corner of my eye, I saw Naruto and Sasuke stare at me with disbelief.
I sat down on one of the branches. Sensei saw me and smiled.
"Well, it looks like the female of the squad has more chakra control than the male. Shizukana might be the right candidate for the next Hokage and I think the Uchiha aren't that good." Sensei said riling the boys up.
With that said,I watched as the boys ran towards their trees. Naruto made it 5 steps before slipping of the surface and falling down. Sasuke made it 9 steps before the bark began to crack from pressure.
Naruto is not using enough chakra while Sasuke is using too much chakra. I thought as I studied the boys movement.
What I couldn't see was the Jonin was looking at me.
Kakashi Hatake's P.O.V
Naruto fell down and Sasuke followed him. Shizukana was able to do it with ease.
I watched as Shizukana studied the boys with interest. The way her eyes moved when the boys took a step and how she would furrow her eyebrows when they made a single mistake. She really is a mystery.
I sighed before sitting down on the branch I was standing on. I pulled out my book and continued form where I had left.
I looked up to find Shizukana looking at the branch she was in.
Since she had already practiced tree walking, she basically had nothing to do.
"Shizukana, come over here." I called out to her making her look at me. She stood up and jump over to me.
"Yeah." She said looking at me.
"Well, since you don't have anything to do. Why don't you got to the bridge and guard Tazuna. Gato might send other ninja to attack Tazuna." I said making her nod.
"Alright, let me just get my stuff and I'll head over to the bridge." She said and I nodded in response.
Shizukana's P.O.V
I jumped down from the branch and made my way back to the house. I entered from the back door and slipped into the room.
I picked up my weapons and dashed through the window. I jumped across branches until I found a path which led to the bridge.
A few minutes later, I reached the bridge to find several people working.
Many people stopped their work to see me walk on the bridge until Tazuna waved over to me.
"Tazuna-san, I'm here to guard you." I said making him nod.
I sat down on one of the planks in the corner and looked around. This is going to be boring.
Hours later...
It was going to get dark soon and many of the workers have already left.
Some of then were chatting with Tazuna until a man, who I think is Tazuna's friend, came and started talking to him.
"Giichi, what do you mean. We need all the work we can get." Tazuna yelled out angrily.
"Its nothing personal. I can't risk my families life. I'm so sorry but what would happen if Gato catches us? We are all doomed." The Man said.
"Exactly why we have to build the bridge." Tazuna said. "Its alright. Don't bother to come tomorrow."
The man left with a frown.
Once everyone left, Tazuna came to me.
"Hey kid, we need to get some groceries." Tazuna said.
I stood up and we started walking to the town.
The town was not like Konoha. The stores were not bustling with people. The store windows weren't filled with colours. The roads weren't filled with happy shoppers. Instead everything was bare.
I stayed close to Tazuna and we entered a shop. All the counters were almost empty.
Tazuna gathered some stuff while I stayed near the door.
I felt something touch my back pouch so I turned around to find a man trying to pickpocket from me.
I glared at him which made him flinch and run.
Tazuna came back and we left.
"As you can see, this is why I must build the bridge. These people are suffering." Tazuna said.
I stayed quiet. After a while we reached the house.
A/N. Hey guys. Hope you enjoyed the chapter. This was uneventful. Yeah, so no interesting parts. Anyways we might get some action in the next. Ciao...
