We open to a POV shot of darkness. "Beast Boy! Beast Boy!" Was the only thing that was heard by Beast Boy. Beast Boy slowly opened his eyes and saw his teammates and whole lot of other Titans. "Friend Beast Boy, are you hurt?" Asked a concerned Starfire. Beast Boy sat up, groaning and holding his head. "What happened?" Asked Beast Boy. "You got knocked out by that mysterious camouflaging robot." Replied Cyborg. "How long was I out?" Asked Beast Boy. "Around twenty-three minutes." Replied Robin. "Wish it was longer." Said a deadpanned Raven.
"So what happened? Did we win?" Beast Boy asked. "Well, the other Titans are here so..." Said Raven. "We won. You're welcome." Said a very smug Kid Flash. "But I don't know what that thing was." Said Jinx. "Yeah, what was that thing?" Asked a confused Aqualad. "G'Narkk?" Asked a confused G'Narkk. "I've travelled to strange universes and I don't even know what that was." Said Herald.
Beast Boy stood up, still holding his head. "How's your head?" Asked Cyborg. "It's fine." Said Beast Boy. "You sure?" Asked Raven. "Because you were repeating Terra when we were trying to revive you." The mention of Terra caused Beast Boy's eyes to widen. "Terra!!" Screamed Beast Boy.
Beast Boy started running and turned into a bird, flying towards the Titans tower, which baffled the Titans.
"Terra?" Asked Bumblebee as she looked at Robin wanting to know. "She was...a friend." Replied Robin.
Meanwhile.
Beast Boy landed outside the cave, turned back into his human form and ran in. "Please let it be a dream. Let it be a dream." Was all Beast Boy repeated while running to see Terra. Beast Boy continued running, in a bit of a nervous state. Then he stopped wide-eyed at the sight he was witnessing. Beast Boy saw that the molten statue of Terra was still standing. "Phew." Said a relieved Beast Boy. Beast Boy approached the statue and smiled. "Hey Terra, I know it's been a while." Said a soft-spoken Beast Boy. "You're probably wondering why I'm here. Well I had a dream. You were no longer a statue and just a regular girl. You didn't remember me, you didn't have your Earth powers and you were just normal. I only came here to see if you were still there and you are. Sorry I don't have anything for you, and I'm sorry that the others didn't show up. I'll try and visit you again sometime. Ok?"
As Beast Boy turned around to walk out the cave, he came across his teammates standing in front of him. "Beast Boy, are you ok?" Asked a worried Robin. "Yeah. Everything's fine." Said Beast Boy. "But you said Terra's name and turned into the bird and flew to the cave where she rests." Informed Starfire. "I just had to make sure my dream wasn't real." Said a sad Beast Boy. "You wanna tell us?" Asked a curious yet worried Cyborg. "Ok. So after I got knocked down by the mysterious white robot-"
As Beast Boy continued his story we fade to four months later where we see Beast Boy entering the cave with a bouquet of flowers.
"Hi Terra." Said a surprisingly smiley Beast Boy. "I came to see you because you've been on my mind a lot recently." Beast Boy approaches Terra and places the flowers beside her. His smile soon fades and his face turned into an apologetic look. "Sorry we haven't seen each other for months. I know I promised to see you from time to time, but I didn't because hero duty called." Said Beast Boy. He hung his head down but then he gave a small smile and looked back up at Terra. "Guess who got together?" Asked Beast Boy. The statue did not reply, with it being a stature. "Robin and Starfire! Yelled Beast Boy. "You were right. There was definitely something between them" Beast Boy paused like Terra was saying something. "A month now, they've been spending a lot of time with each other despite their duty as heroes. They finally got together in Tokyo and (Chuckle) but before they got together, Starfire kissed this random boy which got Robin very angry." Beast Boy laughed as he thought back to that hilarious moment.
"It was just to learn their language." Informed the voice of Starfire, which caused Beast Boy to scream turn around to face her. "I wasn't talking to her." Lied a nervous Beast Boy. "Sorry for the intrusion" Starfire apologised. "She has been on my mind for a while. That and Robin was asking your whereabouts." "Does he need me?" Asked Beast Boy. "Not really, you've been gone for a long time." Replied Starfire. "It was only three hours." Exclaimed Beast Boy. "You didn't inform him." Said Starfire. "Sorry." Said the apologetic Beast Boy.
Starfire walked up to the Terra statue and starts to stare at it, looking she's missed her as well. "She still stands, even though she is now the rock of molten." Said a saddened Starfire. "Yeah. Wish I could see her again." Said Beast Boy, hanging his head down in sadness. "We all wish. But wishes don't come true all the time." Said a surprisingly serious Starfire. "Yeah." Was all the saddened green Titan could say.
The two Titans stared at the statue in silence. Mourning the loss of their once friend/Titan/traitor. "Come Beast Boy. Let us leave her, so she can peacefully rest." Said Starfire, who gave Beast Boy a small smile to cheer him up. Beast Boy returned the smile and said "Sure."
As the two walked out of the cave, the two were suddenly stopped by Kid Flash. "There you two are. Robin's been trying to contact you and he wanted to know why you weren't responding." Informed Kid Flash. "But you're in a cave, so that explains it. "What does Robin want?" Asked Beast Boy.
We cut to Robin debriefing the Titans in the main quarters. "There's a robbery at the chemical plant." Informed Robin. "Who's behind it?" Asked Jinx. "Witnesses reported on seeing a man dressed as a scarecrow. And judging by that description, I know it to be Scarecrow." Said Robin as he showed anger on his face. "Bad news?" Cyborg asked. "I've encountered him many times during my days in Gotham and he isn't easy." Explained Robin. "He may be easy when he's scrawny, but he's a formidable foe with his fear toxin. I knew a moment like this would come, so put on these gas masks me and Cyborg designed." Robin hands his teammates a gas mask.
"Are they meant to protect us from the toxin of fear?" Asked Starfire. "Yes. Trust me, you don't want any blown in your face." Explained Robin. "Are we clear?" "Clear!" Said all the Titans.
Later at the chemical plant. We see security guards screaming on the floor in pure terror and the Titans enter, wearing their gas masks. The Titans started to stare at the sight with much concern. "Are they ok?" Asked a worried Kid Flash. "They're seeing their fears." Replied Robin. "AAAAAHHHHH! Get these spiders off of me! Ahh!" Screamed a random guard.
"Raven, clear the air; Cyborg, contact an ambulance for the guards." Ordered Robin. Cyborg started pushing buttons on his wrists to contact the ambulance. "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!" Raven used her magic to clear the room of toxic gas. The room soon cleared and team was about to remove their masks, until Robin stopped them. "Keep them on." Robin ordered. "We don't know what other tricks Scarecrow has up his sleeve."
"He better come out soon, these things are killing me." Said an annoyed Jinx as she pointed at her gas mask. "Than take them off." Ordered a sinister voice.
The Titans looked up and saw Scarecrow leaning over a metal railings.
Scarecrow was dressed in brown boots, brown pants, brown shirt, a brown hat, long brown overalls, a brown mask, a sinister grin and dilated eyes.
"If it's killing you, why don't you take it off?" Suggested Scarecrow. "Breath in the fresh
air." "Scarecrow." Robin said with much hatred. Scarecrow turned his attention to Robin and gave him a sinister grin. "Hello Robin. I haven't seen you for a long time." Said Scarecrow with so much evil in his voice. "How long has it been? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? Or all of the above?" "What's wrong with Gotham? Too crowded?" Robin asked with much anger in his voice. "Just got a little too pretentious. Scarecrow replied. "Felt like trying someplace new and visiting an old friend." Scarecrow grinned at the Titans.
"What do you plan on doing, scarer of crows?" Starfire asked. "I'm gonna make you witness your worst fears. But unfortunately, you're wearing your gas masks." Scarecrow replied with much disappointment in his voice. "Unfortunately for you, you don't know how to shut up." Said the deadpanned Raven.
Suddenly, Scarecrow gets grabbed by the waist by Kid Flash. "I know you're villains and you really like talking, but just try and not talk for once and fight us." Quipped Kid Flash. "Oh, you wanna fight?" Scarecrow asked while struggling to get out. "Not really. Ya know, I just wanna spend some time with-" Kid Flash screamed when he felt something that felt like an army of needles being injected into his leg. That's because Scarecrow had injected syringes that are on his fingers, into Kid Flash's legs. The pain of the needles caused Kid Flash to let go. "Kid Flash!" Jinx yelled with much concern.
Scarecrow jumped over the metal railings and landed in front of the Teen Titans, not breaking his legs upon impact. "Titans, go!" Yelled Robin. The Titans charged at Scarecrow, while Jinx ran up to where Kid Flash was to see if he was ok. Robin and Scarecrow engaged in a staff and scythe fight. Raven and Starfire tried to blast Scarecrow, but he dodged them and hit Robin in the face with the wooden end of his scythe. Beast Boy turned into a rhinoceros in an attempt to knock him over but Scarecrow performed a front flip as soon as he got close enough to strike him. Cyborg tried to grab Scarecrow mid flip, but Scarecrow scratches him in the arm with his scythe.
Cyborg analysed the scratch on his arm. "Hey, that was my new paint job!" Yelled a very angry Cyborg.
Robin throws a birdarang to hit Scarecrow, but Scarecrow chopped it in two with his scythe before it even hit him. "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!" Raven yelled to try and knock some metal railings with her magic on Scarecrow, but he performed back flips and avoided them. Starfire picked up and Scarecrow by his shoulders and floated up with him in her grasp. "You shall pay for what ever you did to friend Kid Flash." Starfire yelled. Scarecrow grinned at Starfire and used his scythe to pull the gas mask off of Starfire and injected his syringes into Starfire's arm.
The sudden attack caused Starfire to scream and let go of Scarecrow. While falling, Scarecrow span his scythe to perform a safe landing. While landing, he performed a glide kick on Raven, causing her to crash into Cyborg. Scarecrow crushed the gas mask once he landed safely. "Doesn't suit your pretty face." Scarecrow said to Starfire.
Beast Boy turned into a gorilla and performed a monkey hug on Scarecrow. "Get your paws off me, you filthy ape." Yelled Scarecrow. Scarecrow injected the syringes into Beast Boy's arms, causing him to scream and let go of Scarecrow.
We cut to Kid Flash doing some heavy breathing after being injected with fear toxin. Jinx made it to where he was and bent down on one knee so she can be staring at Kid Flash face-to-face. "Kid Flash! Are you ok?" Jinx asked with much concern. Kid Flash stared at Jinx in fear and terror. We see Kid Flash's POV to what Jinx looked like to him and it was horrifying to him. Jinx looked like a flaming skeleton which caused Kid Flash to scream, while Jinx stared at him, confused and worried.
We cut to Robin and Scarecrow in another staff and scythe fight. The two then clashed their weapons at each other. "Are you impressed at how good at fighting I have become Robin?" Scarecrow asked while grinning. Robin kicked Scarecrow in the leg, but Scarecrow retaliated with a kick to Robin's chin.
Cyborg ran up to Scarecrow and tackled him. "Gotcha!" Yelled Cyborg. "Do you?" Scarecrow asked sinisterly. Scarecrow tried to insert the syringes in Cyborg's arm, but the needles broke upon impact. Scarecrow just grinned at Cyborg instead of being disappointed. Cyborg smirked and threw Scarecrow at the wall, causing his hat to fall off. As Scarecrow tried to get up, he got stuck to the wall by pieces of metal wrapping themselves around Scarecrow's wrists and ankles. "Now stay and do your job." Raven said giving a deadpan quip. Scarecrow just continued grinning as Robin, Cyborg and Raven approached him.
"You're not going anywhere this time, Scarecrow." Robin said. Scarecrow just continued to grin at his defeat. "Take off the mask, his grinning is giving me the creeps." Ordered a nervous Cyborg. Robin pulled the mask off of Scarecrow to reveal a ginger haired, Caucasian male grinning. "You're right, I'm not getting away. Said Scarecrow. "But I'd check up on your friends if I were you." Scarecrow suggested.
Jinx approached the group, while holding on to Kid Flash; with concern plastered all over face. "Kid Flash isn't looking too good. He looks terrified and he screamed at me." Informed a concerned and worried Jinx. "The fear toxin is in full effect." Scarecrow explained while grinning. "What do you see Kid Flash?"
We cut to Kid Flash's POV where we see that he sees Robin, Cyborg and Raven as flaming skeletons; while he sees Scarecrow as a demon version of himself. Kid Flash screamed and tried to wiggle his way out of Jinx's grip, while Jinx struggled to hold him.Cyborg ran up to the tow and managed to managed to get ahold of Kid Flash, helping Jinx out. "Robin, does the fear toxin have a cure?" Asked Jinx. "The fear toxin wears off in a few hours, we just gotta try our best to keep him calm in order to speed the process." Robin replied.
"What about Beast Boy and Starfire?" Raven asked. "Yeah, they got injected." Cyborg said with concern in his voice. Robin and Raven ran to Beast Boy and Starfire, who had their backs against the wall, sweating. "Beast Boy, Starfire. Are you ok?" Robin asked, worried about his girlfriend and his friend. Starfire looked up at Robin. "I am." Replied Starfire. "The drips of the sweats are the only things that are bothering me." "Same." Said the sweaty Beast Boy. "I feel fine apart from the sweating. Maybe we just need a glass of cold water." "Yes. I feel we need the refreshing taste of cold water in a glass." Starfire said agreeing with Beast Boy.
Robin helped up Starfire while Raven helped up Beast Boy. "Is Kid Flash ok?" Beast Boy asked, concerned about the ginger haired speedster. Robin, Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy see Kid Flash is now kicking and screaming, while Jinx and Cyborg struggled to hold him. "He's kicking and screaming, he's totally fine." Raven said sarcastically.
"Titans, the effects of the fear toxin usually wears off in an hour we need to keep Kid Flash calm in order for the effects to wore off faster. Jinx, Cyborg and Starfire-" While Robin was talking, Beast Boy looked to his left and saw a silhouette of a girl. Beast Boy started at the silhouette like he somehow knew her, so squinted his eyes to get a good look at the girl. Lightning struck to reveal that the girl was Terra. Beast Boy's eyes widened "Terra?" Said the shocked Beast Boy.
"Beast Boy, did you listen?" Asked Robin. Beast Boy turned to face Robin and said "Huh?" "You, Raven and I are gonna take Scarecrow to prison." Said Robin. "You spaced out, did you see a ghost?" Asked Raven.
Beast Boy looked to where Terra was standing but she wasn't there anymore. "I thought I did." Replied a disappointed Beast Boy.
Later, we see Beast Boy, Raven and Robin escorting Scarecrow into the penitentiary at Jump City maximum security prison. Scarecrow just grinned manically as he is thrown into his cell. "Make sure he doesn't escape." Robin ordered to a guard. "Yes sir." Replied the guard. Scarecrow stared at the Titans while grinning, evilly. "Your friend seems ok, doesn't he?" Asked Scarecrow. "You're not gonna be ok during your first three days here." Robin replied coldly.
Scarecrow grinned sinisterly as Beast Boy shivered with fear. "Cold Beast Boy?" Robin asked. "I'm sorry, his smile gives me the creeps." Beast Boy replied while shaking. "Than don't look at him." Raven suggested. Beast Boy turned around to face the wall and to not look at the sinister face of Scarecrow. "This is better." Said Beast Boy.
"Fear will soon consume everyone on the planet, Robin. Half of the population shall die seeing their worst fears." Scarecrow said while continuing his signature grinning. "Haven't you thought of killing people with something more pleasant?" Asked Raven.
Beast Boy continued to stare at the wall, trying to ignore Scarecrow. Until he heard a voice saying his name "Beast Boy." Beast Boy looked to his left and saw Terra, staring at him while standing beside some other cells. "Terra?" Said Beast Boy, surprised yet confused. Beast Boy started walking to the supposedly alive Terra. "Terra?" Beast Boy asked. Robin and Raven took notice of Beast Boy walking away from them.
"Beast Boy?" Robin asked with much confusion. Beast Boy tried to approach Terra but then she started running away from him. "Terra! Wait!" Beast Boy yelled as he started to make chase for Terra. Terra ran through the exit; Beast Boy soon followed.
Beast Boy stopped to analyse his surroundings to see if he can catch a glimpse of Terra. He eventually did when he saw her silhouette standing by a by a tree. Beast Boy turned into a dog and started running towards her. She continued to run with Beast Boy following her. Rain fell as Beast Boy continued to try and catch up with her. "Terra, wait!" Beast Boy yelled as he continued to chase Terra through the woods. Beast Boy saw her retreat into the trees and turned into a lemur to try and catch up with her. Terra jumped from tree to tree, trying to get away from Beast Boy. Beast Boy soon followed as well, trying to catch up with her. She soon ran into the fairground where the two had their 'date.' He saw her run into the hall of mirrors and soon followed. He turned back into human form and slowly walked into the hall where Terra was revealed to be a double agent for Slade.
"Terra. Terra. Terra, is it you?" Beast Boy asked feeling scared and confused. "You sure this isn't a dream? This has to be a dream. You're dead, aren't you? No! You got knocked out again, this is a dream!" Beast Boy soon was surrounded by mirrors and he stared at his nearby reflection. "But what if it isn't?" Beast Boy asked as he placed a hand on his cheek. "No. Terra is dead, you cannot change that. You are dreaming, you are dreaming. I can prove it. I just need a pinch." Beast Boy pinched himself but he didn't wake up. "Hmm, I guess I didn't pinch hard enough." Beast Boy said.
Suddenly, Beast Boy felt somebody pinch him very hard and he screamed in pain. Beast Boy looked at his arm and he saw that it was bright red. Beast Boy tried to hold back the tears of pain. "Ow! That hurt!" Beast Boy screamed. "Well that proves you're not sleeping." Said a voice that made Beast Boy's heart beat repeatedly. Beast Boy turns around and sees Terra standing in front of him, wearing her Teen Titan uniform. Beast Boy stared at Terra, surprised and happy at the same time. "Terra?" Beast Boy asked, unsure of what he was seeing.
"Did you miss me?" Terra asked. "But...You're molten rock." Said a confused yet happy Beast Boy as he started to analyse her. And yes, she did look like she was back to normal. Not a sign of her on her. "Not anymore." Terra yelled happily.
"How?" Beast Boy asked not sure if he was dreaming like really heavily. "I opened my eyes, managed to get that stupid suit off of me, got changed and here we are." Terra explained. "Why did you want me to chase you?" Beast Boy asked. "I felt our reunion should be somewhere more secluded." Terra replied, enthusiastically. Beast Boy continued to stare at her, obviously surprised yet happy. "Aren't you surprised to see me?" Terra asked.
Terra gave Beast Boy a smile while Beast Boy continued to stare at her in disbelief. "I...I...I...I..." Beast Boy stuttered, unsure of what to say. But without warning, Terra attacked Beast Boy with a hug. "I missed you too." Terra said, trying to hold in a few tears. Beast Boy hesitated at the surprise hug, but he then smiled and returned the hug. "I'm sorry I didn't save you." Beast Boy apologised. "I did what I did to save you. You should be thanking me." Terra said smiling. "Well thank-" Beast Boy's sentence was cut short when he looked at the mirror behind Terra and saw that he was in the reflection but she wasn't.
Beast Boy's face soon turned to that of annoyance and anger. "You are not real." Beast Boy said coldly. Beast Boy lets go of her and started to walk backwards. Terra laughed nervously, unsure of how to take Beast Boy's comment. "What?" Terra asked nervously. "You're not there. You're an illusion." Yelled Beast Boy. "How did you feel me pinch you?" Terra asked getting a bit annoyed with Beast Boy. "Robin went through something similar. He could see, feel and hear Slade, but we couldn't. This is similar to that. You are not there." Beast Boy yelled. Terra stared at Beast Boy, scared and confused. "Beast Boy." Terra said to try and calm him down. "Leave me alone!" Beast Boy yelled as he ran out of into the pouring rain.
As soon as Beast Boy got out of the room, he ran into Robin and Raven. "There you are Beast Boy." Robin said, not impressed with what Beast Boy did. "Where were you? You just ran out of the building without telling us why." Robin asked, slightly worried. "Sorry, I thought I saw Terra." Beast Boy replied, looking a little shaken up. "Terra? But she's dead." Raven pointed out. "I know she's dead! She was an illusion." Beast Boy exclaimed. "I could feel her, see her and hear her." Raven looked at Robin, slightly concerned with Beast Boy. "Robin, that happened with you before." Raven said to Robin. "I know. Beast Boy-" Robin stopped talking when Beast Boy interrupted him. "I acknowledged she was an illusion. She is a part of the dark corner of my mind, I just need to turn on a light and she'll be gone." Beast Boy said, thinking back to what happened with Robin.
"You sure you don't need help?" Robin asked, slightly worried for Beast Boy. "I got it Robin. She isn't there at all." Beast Boy said calmly and with a bit of a smug smile.
Suddenly, the Titan's communicator started going off. Robin answered the communicator and Cyborg was on screen. "Cyborg, what is it?" Asked Robin. "Robin, get back to the base." Cyborg said, with much concern in his voice. "Why? Is Kid Flash not getting any better?" Robin asked. Jinx suddenly pushed Cyborg out of the way to talk to Robin. "Does my black eye say anything?" Screamed Jinx while she pointed at her black eye. "We had no choice but to cuff him to the bed rest." Cyborg moved next to Jinx to face the screen. "Yeah, it wasn't easy. But it's not Kid Flash we're worried about, it's Starfire." Cyborg said.
Robin's eyes widened due to the fact his girlfriend might not be ok. "What's wrong? Is she ok?" Robin asked very concerned. "She looks spooked." Informed Cyborg. "I think you should see her for yourself."
Later at the Titans Tower, Starfire is sitting on the couch looking traumatised while Robin, Beast Boy, Raven and Cyborg are trying to snap her out of it. "Star! Are you ok?" Yelled Beast Boy. "Kid Flash didn't spook her when he was screaming." Informed Cyborg. "And is he doing any better?" Asked Robin.
Suddenly, Kid Flash runs into the living quarters running like crazy with Jinx trying to catch up with him. "Kid Flash! Calm down! Stop!" Jinx yelled as she continued to chase Kid Flash out of the room.
Raven approached Starfire, holding a glass of water. "This should calm your nerves." Raven said as she offered Starfire the water which she gladly took out of her hand. Starfire took a sip of the water, while she continued to shake.
"Star, what happened?" Robin asked as he placed a gentle hand on her free hand. "I saw somebody I thought we would never see again." Starfire replied feeling scared. "Who?" Robin asked in a surprisingly gentle tone. "It was our friend, Terra." Starfire replied, nervously.
The news shocked shocked the Titans, especially Beast Boy. "Terra?" Beast Boy asked slightly scared. "I saw her while I was getting the water for Kid Flash." Starfire explained while looking scared. "What was she doing?" Asked Robin. "Nothing, she was standing in front of me." Starfire replied.
"I heard her scream and saw her frozen in place afterwards." Cyborg said. "That's strange, Beast Boy claimed to have also encountered Terra tonight." Informed Raven. "You have Beast Boy?" Starfire asked, surprised. "But, I thought she wasn't real." Beast Boy said sounding not too sure.
"But then she is." Said Cyborg. "If Star saw her as well, than she is surely alive." "No! She isn't real!" Beast Boy yelled in denial. "When I was hugging her in the room of mirrors, I saw no reflection coming from her. She can't be real!" "But I saw her." Said Starfire. "How long ago?" Asked Beast Boy. "I heard her scream 17 minutes ago." Informed Cyborg. "And I encountered her 15 minutes ago." Beast Boy said slightly confused and worried. "That doesn't make sense." "When did you know how to keep track of time?" Raven asked Beast Boy. This got Raven an annoyed glare from Beast Boy.
"But Terra was there. I am sure of it!" Starfire yelled. "Star, you could've been hallucinating." Said Robin as Starfire removes his hand from her's. "I wasn't! Terra was there." Exclaimed Starfire. "Star, Terra wasn't there. I know she wasn't." Said Beast Boy, getting annoyed. "Then why is she standing behind you?" Starfire asked while standing up and pointed at what was behind Beast Boy.
Beast Boy looked behind him and saw Terra, which caused him to stand in place, shocked. "Terra?" Beast Boy said, not sure if what he was seeing was there. "Hey Beast Boy." Said a smiley Terra.
Starfire flew up to Terra. "Friend Terra, it is so glorious to see you again!" Starfire attacked Terra with a hug, which caused her eyes to widen. "Too tight." Terra said as she struggled to breath. "Wait Star, I can see her and you can see her. Terra, you are back!" Beast Boy yelled. Beast Boy ran up to the two and joined in with the hugging.
"Way too tight!" Terra said while struggling. Starfire and Beast Boy soon stopped hugging Terra and just continued to smile.
Starfire and Beast Boy turned to their teammates, smiling. "Friends! Terra has returned!" Starfire said, as happily as she did. Robin, Raven and Cyborg stared at Starfire and Beast Boy with concern. "Star, Beast Boy, she isn't there." Robin said, very worried. Beast Boy and Starfire's smiles soon fade. "What do you mean?" Beast Boy asked, very confused. "She's right here." Starfire said.
"Star, she isn't." Cyborg said trying to not sound mean to her. "But how?" Beast Boy asked. Beast Boy turned around to face the window and saw through the reflection, Terra wasn't there. This caused Beast Boy to get angry. "You're not real!" Beast Boy yelled as he pointed at Terra. "This again?" Terra exclaimed very annoyed. "Beast Boy, I'm here!" "Yes Beast Boy, she is here." Starfire said whilst placing a hand on her shoulder. "Star, she isn't." Robin said trying to sound mean to her.
"But how can me and Beast Boy see her?" Starfire asked like she didn't believe them. "That's a good question." Cyborg pointed out. "If she is just an hallucination, than how can Star and Beast Boy see her?" "This must be some kind of joke. I'm here." Terra said nervously. "Terra, you're not!" Yelled Beast Boy. "But Terra is here." Starfire yelled.
"Is not!" Beast Boy yelled as he turned to face Starfire; glaring at her in anger "Is too!" Starfire yelled while glaring at Beast Boy and pointing her finger at him. "Is not!" Yelled Beast Boy. "Is too!" Yelled Starfire.
Beast Boy and Starfire angrily glared at each other and gritted their teeth. "Stop it" Ordered Robin. "Obviously, you two can see her and I wanna find out how and why." "Let me." Offered Raven. Raven started to slowly approach Starfire. "Raven, why can you not see Terra is here?" Starfire asked slightly worried. Starfire turned to face her boyfriend. "Robin, you must see that Terra is here." Robin sighed, not really wanting to upset her. "I'm sorry Star, I don't."
"Star, I'm gonna enter your mind to see how you can see Terra." Raven calmly said as she walked closer to Starfire. "Hey Star, you wanna get out of here?" Terra asked as she suddenly popped up behind her and her hands on her shoulders. ,These guys are just crazy." Starfire smiled at the suggestion. "Of course Terra." Starfire said in delight.
Starfire started following Terra out of the tower. "Star, get back here!" Raven yelled, very frustrated. "No!" Starfire yelled as she blasted Raven, sending her flying across the room and crashing into the wall.
"Terra is here! Me and Beast Boy can see her." Starfire yelled at her friends, in anger. "Star, she isn't here." Robin said as he tried to calm her down. "I can hear her, I felt her and I see her! You just don't seem to understand!" Starfire yelled as her eyes started to glow green. "Star, we only wanna help." Robin said as he, Cyborg and Raven slowly walked up to her. "As your friends and boyfriend, we want to help."
"If you are my friends, than you will believe what I am seeing!" Starfire yelled, feeling betrayed. "Star, I see what you're seeing and I know she isn't there." Beast Boy said, trying to act calm towards Starfire. "Beast Boy, I am!" Terra yelled.
"Star, let us help you." Cyborg said as Starfire angrily glared at her friends. "She is here!" Starfire yelled about to blast her friends with her starbolts.
Suddenly, Beast Boy grabbed Starfire by the arm and forced her to look at the window. "What do you see?!" Beast Boy asked in frustration. "I see the reflection of myself." Starfire answered calmly. Beast Boy grabbed Terra by the wrist and forced her to look at the window. "Terra, what do you see?!" Beast Boy asked. Terra analysed the window and saw that she wasn't there. "I can't see myself. Is this some sort of mean prank?" Terra asked, annoyed. "It's not." Beast Boy replied, very angrily.
Beast Boy approaches Robin. "Robin, I would like permission to take Starfire and Terra out of the tower to prove my point." Beast Boy said. "Where will you take them?" Asked Robin. "You know where." Beast Boy said with much anger in his voice. Robin nodded his head in approval.
Later, Beast Boy is seen walking through the cave with Starfire and Terra.
"Where are you takings us Beast Boy?" Terra asked with much enthusiasm. "This was where you were buried." Starfire replied glumly. "Why are you taking us to such place Beast Boy?" Beast Boy didn't respond to Starfire's question and just continued walking. The three continued walking until they reach the end and see the Terra statue in front of them. "See? Star, she is there!" Yelled Beast Boy in so much frustration. Starfire stared at the statue and Terra in confusion.
"I do not understand." Said the Confused Tamaranean. "Is this some sort of mean prank? Which one is real?" "Is it?" Terra asked, glumly. Terra approaches the statue of herself and presses her hand against her petrified face. "It feels like rock." Terra said, sadly. Starfire approached the statue and started poking at it with one hand, and Terra with the other. "Star, stop it!" Terra yelled as she slapped Starfire's hand away from her.
"You feel real and this feels real." Starfire said in confusion. "It sure feels real." Terra said with much sadness in her voice. "Beast Boy, you sure you didn't learn to sculpture me. Cause I swear I broke out of this." "How did you get out of the costume?" Beast Boy asked with his arms folded and eyebrows furrowed. "It was stuck to you, remember?"
Terra then started to realise what Beast Boy was saying was true. "No!" Terra yelled and then faced Starfire. "Star, you don't believe this right?"
"I am confused. I do not understand this joke." Starfire said. "Star, this isn't a joke." Beast Boy said with much annoyance.
"But how can you guys see me? And hear me? And feel me?" Terra asked not understanding what is happening. "Because you're a more advanced hallucination." Beast Boy replied while glaring at her.
Terra stared at Beast Boy and Starfire in sadness and confusion before she noticed the rocks around her shaking. "Am I doing this?" Asked the fear stricken Terra. "No, it's probably just a tremor." Beast Boy replied while staring at the rocks. "No! I must be standing here! I must!" Terra yelled. "Terra, I know this is hard, but it is the truth." Beast Boy calmly said as he walked up to Terra and held her by the wrist. "You're not here, you're over there." Beast Boy pointed to the stature of Terra.
Terra started at Beast Boy, scared and confused. "No! No! No! No! No! No!" Yelled the distressed Terra.
Suddenly, a rock fell on Beast Boy's head. Beast Boy yelled "Ow" and then rubbed his head. Terra dropped to the floor and started tearing up over the awful truth. Terra then pressed her hands against her head trying to control her powers while the cave around them started crumbling. "Beast Boy!" Starfire yelled. Beast Boy then grabbed Starfire by the wrist and started to run out of the cave with her. "But what about Terra?!" Starfire asked concerned for her friend. "She isn't there!" Beast Boy coldly replied. Beast Boy and Starfire ran out of cave before the cave crumbled to nothing but rocks.
The two stared at the remains of the destroyed cave, relived that they survived. "Terra!" Starfire yelled as she started to run towards the remains, but Beast Boy grabbed her wrist. "She's an hallucination Star and so were her powers." Said Beast Boy in a serious tone which seems odd for him. "But she used her powers!" Starfire yelled as she slapped Beast Boy's hand off her wrist. "It was probably an earthquake!" Yelled Beast Boy. "No, it was Terra!" Exclaimed Starfire. "Oh my gosh! What is it gonna take for you to accept that Terra is an illusion?!" Beast Boy asked in an angry tone of voice. "As much as I don't want it to be true, it is!" "You lying glofarp!" Yelled Starfire. "I don't know what that means, but I don't like it!" Beast Boy yelled while pointing at Starfire.
"Well good! You're not supposed to!" Yelled Starfire. "But all because I just wanna prove to you that she isn't there!" Beast Boy started to get angrier than before due to Starfire's naiveness. "But she was!" Yelled Starfire. "She wasn't! I am sure of it!" Yelled the now angrier than before Beast Boy.
The two glared at each other while gritting their teeth. "I hope you two are done arguing." Said an optimistic voice that sounded way too familiar. The two turned around and see Terra, sitting on a rock; smiling. "Terra!" Starfire yelled in excitement as she tried to run up to her, but was stopped by Beast Boy grabbing her by the wrist. "Look at her! She couldn't have survived that." Beast Boy yelled as he pointed to Terra. "But she did." Said Starfire. "Yeah, I did." Said Terra as she smiled at the two, jumped off the rock and started to walk up to the two. "So, is there anything we can do?" Terra asked still wearing that smile.
Beast Boy stared at Terra in disbelief. "Why are you suddenly happy?" Beast Boy asked her very annoyed. "I'm just happy to see you two." Terra replied, enthusiastically. "You were upset a moment ago because you realised you were an hallucination, why are you suddenly happy?" Beast Boy asked in his angry tone of voice. Terra laughed at Beast Boy. "I forgot how funny you are Beast Boy." Complimented the happy Terra. Beast Boy growled, picked up a rock and threw it into the ocean. "What's the matter?" Terra asked, worried about her friend. "Beast Boy is feeling the stress because he thinks you are not there." Starfire replied while giving Beast Boy a cold glare. "Do you think I'm not here?" Terra asked Starfire.
Beast Boy started praying that Starfire will finally come to her senses. "I know you are here, dearest friend." Starfire replied. Beast Boy pulled a bit of his hair out while screaming after Starfire said her answer.
"You know what Star? I give up! I give up trying to convince you she is an hallucination!" Yelled Beast Boy. "Good, cause she isn't." Starfire exclaimed at her once good friend. "I can't take this! I just can't! See you back at the base." Beast Boy said as he gave Starfire a cold stare.
Beast Boy the. turned into a bird and started to fly back to the base.
Meanwhile at the Titans tower we see Jinx was sitting on the couch, looking exhausted; possibly from chasing Kid Flash so much. Robin approached her and placed an appreciative hand on her shoulder. "You did your best Jinx." Robin said. Robin then removed his hand from her shoulder. "If he does this again, than I'm gonna hex blast him to calm him down, and I'm not even joking." Jinx said in a serious tone of voice. "I believe you." Raven said in her deadpan voice.
Beast Boy returned to the base looking angry while ignoring the sudden Terra sitting on the couch. "Hey Beast Boy, where have you been?" Asked Terra. Beast Boy ignored her and started walking to his room. "Beast Boy, how did it go?" Asked Cyborg. "Do you see Starfire?!" Yelled Beast Boy. "It didn't go to well! I can't do this! She doesn't believe me at all! Even when the cave fell on us due to an Earthquake, she still didn't believe us!" "There was an earthquake?" Asked the now surprised Terra. "Shut up, Terra hallucination!" Beast Boy yelled which caused Terra to sit on the couch shocked at her friend yelling at her like that.
Beast Boy walked through the door that lead to the main corridor. "What's wrong with him?" Jinx asked, who had not been briefed on the whole situation. "He was trying to prove that the hallucinations of Terra he and Star were having, are not real." Explained Robin. "How can they be hallucinating at the same time?" Asked Jinx. "That's what I've been trying to find out." Said Robin. "I saw what they were seeing and it looked like there was no gas in their airways." Explained Raven. "Than what is?" Jinx asked.
Meanwhile, Beast Boy is seen walking down the corridor scratching his arm. "What's going on with my arm?" Beast Boy asked himself. Beast Boy then rolled his sleeve up and saw the marks from his needle injection were still there. Beast Boy looked at the marks and thought back to Scarecrow injecting him and Starfire with those needles. Beast Boy also thought back to what Scarecrow said in his prison cell "Your friend seems ok, doesn't he?"
Beast Boy's eyes widened in shock and thought back to him and Starfire saying Terra has been on their mind a lot.
Beast Boy then thought back to Robin going through something similar to this and thinking to what Raven saying that the stress of believing Slade is real is killing him. Beast Boy than put all the pieces together, ran into the main quarters and grabbed Robin by his suit.
"Robin, how did you stop those Slade hallucinations?!" Beast Boy asked in a desperate panic. "I accepted he wasn't there and I turned on the lights and he was gone." Robin replied.
"Hey the lights are on and I'm still here. Even though you think of me as a hallucination." Terra pointed out. "Good point." Beast Boy said to the Terra. "I keep seeing Terra even though the light is on." "Beast Boy, let go of Robin and tell us what you realised." Cyborg's order made Beast Boy let go of his leader. "You remember when Scarecrow injected me and Star with fear toxin and it looked like it did nothing?" Asked Beast Boy. "Yes. That's one impressive immune system you two have." Complimented Cyborg. "Well, me and Star had Terra on our minds recently and when Scarecrow injected us with his toxin, we are now seeing Terra and it is killing us!" Yelled Beast Boy.
"How?" Jinx asked, confused by the situation. "The stress from Beast Boy trying to prove Terra isn't there is killing him. The more he gets stressed, the more his brain will overheat and will kill him." Raven replied. "Oh no!" Yelled Terra. "That doesn't sound good." "So if Beast Boy's stress on trying to prove Terra isn't there is killing him, than Starfire's stress on trying to prove Terra is there is-" Robin stopped talking and his face turned into shock, horror and concern. "STARFIRE!" Robin yelled and started running out of the tower with Cyborg, Beast Boy and Raven following him. "I would come, but I've done enough." Said the worn out Jinx.
Meanwhile, we see Starfire and Terra walking along a bridge. "Wow, you gotta admit this night is pretty sweet?" Terra said. "Yes. It makes me forget the arguments between me and Beast Boy." Said the now more chilled out Starfire. "Yeah, I cant believe he doesn't think I'm real." Terra said in disbelief. "Yes! I wish I could just try and prove to Beast Boy that you are there." Starfire said as she started to get visibly frustrated. "And how my friends say that you aren't there but really you are. Raven, Cyborg and especially Robin don't seem to see what I see and it is making me feel very-" "Starfire!" Starfire stopped talking when she heard the sound of her boyfriend calling out her name.
Starfire looked behind her and sees Robin, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg. "Terra stop poisoning her mind!" Beast Boy yelled. "How am I poisoning her mind?" Asked an annoyed Terra. "Yes Beast Boy. How is she putting poison in my mind?" Asked an even more annoyed Starfire. "Star, the stress of you trying to prove Terra is there is killing you." Warned Cyborg. "What do you mean?" Starfire asked, this time worried. "Star, the toxin worked. We're hallucinating Terra because she has been on our mind recently." Beast Boy explained. Starfire thought back to when Scarecrow injected her with his needles. "Yes, I did have her on the mind when Scarecrow injected those needles into me." Said Starfire. "This has to be a joke. Star, this is a trick." Said the nervous Terra. "You're just an hallucination trying to convince her that you're there, so she can then try and convince us that you're real which will cause her to get stressed and then the stress will kill her." Said the frantic Beast Boy.
"What do you want me to do?" Starfire asked. "You believe them?" Terra asked feeling betrayed. Starfire looked back at Terra. "I have got to be sure." Replied Starfire. Starfire turned her head back to face her friends. "What shall I do?" Asked Starfire. "Picture she isn't here." Raven replied. "How?" Asked Starfire. "Ignore her." Raven replied. "Ignore?" Starfire said sounding like she wasn't so sure about this. "Don't listen to her, look at us." Said the frantic Beast Boy. "Come on Beast Boy, Starfire I'm here!" Said the nervous Terra. Beast Boy then asked "Then why aren't you acknowledging the others?"
Terra stood in place, surprised unsure of what to do and like she just realised this herself. "Uh..." Was all Terra could say.
"Yes. You're trying to convince me and Beast Boy that you are present, but you're not doing it with the others." Starfire said like she just came to that realisation as well. "Uh...Hey Star, you wanna go and get pizza." Terra asked trying to calm down the situation, but Starfire just turned away from Terra. "Beast Boy, come on...hugs?" Beast Boy said nothing to the girl he once loved. "Come on you two, say something I don't know what to do." Yelled a desperate Terra. "You are not real." Said Starfire as she closed her eyes. "You are not real." Beast Boy said as he closed his eyes.
"Guys! I am real see?" Yelled the frantic Terra. Terra then looked at her hand and saw it was turning to dust. "Come on guys. I mean it! I'm just an ordinary blonde girl." Suddenly, Terra's hair turned to dust. "Guys, help me! Help me!" Terra continued to beg for help. Starfire was about to turn around, but Beast Boy shook his head and Starfire stopped. "Help! Please! Don't ignore me! I need you!"
Terra continued to yell as she continued turning to dust. "But we don't." Said Beast Boy. And in just a few short seconds, Terra vanished.
Beast Boy and Starfire opened their eyes. "Is Terra gone?" Starfire asked. Beast Boy looked behind her and saw that she wasn't there. Beast Boy smiled and said "She's there." "What?" Starfire quickly turned around and saw she wasn't there. "She isn't." Said the disappointed Tamaranean. Beast Boy laughed at Starfire falling for his trick. "Beast Boy!" Starfire yelled as Beast Boy continued to laugh. "Beast Boy, that wasn't very nice." Said Robin with his arms folded. "Yeah, not cool." Said Cyborg. "It kind of was." Said Raven as Beast Boy stopped laughing. Starfire approached her friends with her hands clasped to her chest. "Friends, I am sorry for not believing you." Apologised Starfire. "It's ok Star." Said Robin as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Sorry I got aggressive." Said Beast Boy, feeling some shame. "There is no need for the apologies. I should've listened to your concerns." Said Starfire.
Beast Boy smiled a his friend. "Thanks Star."
"And how is the Kid Flash?" Asked Starfire. "He's fine." Said Robin as he removes his hand from Starfire's shoulder. "I got a sense that he is 'really' fine." Said Raven with a cheeky grin.
Meanwhile at the tower, Kid Flash was screaming while Jinx was holding him down to the floor. "Calm down! Calm down!" Yelled Jinx. "Please don't make me hex you, please! Please! I'm begging you!" Kid Flash eventually calmed down and fell asleep. Jinx sighed and sat on the couch "Just please have some sweet dreams and don't wake up for the next twelve hours." Said an exhausted Jinx. Kid Flash woke up screaming again and started running away. Jinx groaned in annoyance and started to chase him again.
