We open to the Teen Titans fighting Slade bots in downtown Jump City.
Jinx hex blasted them into a million pieces, Starfire blasted the robot's heads off with her starbolts, Robin engaged in a staff fight with one of the bots and won, Cyborg grabbed a Slade bot and crushed its head, Raven used her magic to lift up a car to crush some of them, Kid Flash ran past a whole bunch, causing most of them to shatter due to him punching them at high speed; while Beast Boy turned into a T-Rex and crushed them with his foot.
Jinx hex blasted a bot that was coming for her, causing it to blow up. Kid Flash ran past her and punched a Slade bot that was behind her.
"Got 12." Kid Flash said to her with a smirk. Jinx turned to face the speedster
"Thirteen..." Jinx hex blasted another Slade bot. "...Fourteen. Looks like I don't owe you a date."
Kid Flash destroyed three more Slade bots by punching them at high speed. "Fifteen. Now you do." Said Kid Flash. Jinx smirked and rolled her eyes.
"Awww! Aren't you two so cute?" Beast Boy said with his hands close to his chest, admiring the 'couple'.
Beast Boy destroys a Slade bot by turning into a gorilla and busting a hole in it's chest. "Eighteen!" Said Beast Boy, now joining in the competition.
Cyborg blasted a Slade bot that was standing beside Beast Boy. "Twenty-One." Cyborg yelled.
"This isn't a competition." Robin yelled at his team, trying to make his team focus. Robin throws a birdarang at a Slade bot's head causing it to explode. "For the information, Robin you have twenty-two. Whilst I have twenty-four." Starfire stated while Robin rolled his eyes.
"Not that I wanna get involved, but..." Raven used her magic to blow up a truck that was beside an army of approaching Slade bots, leaving her teammates amazed. "Forty-two." Raven smirked at her record. "Guess I win the medal."
"I didn't know destroying my robots was a competition." Said a voice that made the Titan's blood boil. The Titans looked up and saw Slade standing on top of a cafe.
"Slade!" Robin hissed at his arch-enemy.
"Did you miss me Robin?" Slade asked. "Because I've missed you. Especially Beast Boy." Beast Boy froze in fear at the last sentence, since he last encountered Slade in the little dream world he was in while the Titans fought against a camouflaging robot.
"I don't like what he's implying, judging by the sentence and the fact he's old." Jinx said as she shuddered. "It's not Slade you should be worried about..." Slade said as he looked at the ground. When he looked back up, he was suddenly Terra. "...It's me!"
"Terra?" Beast Boy responded in disbelief.
Terra glared at the Titans and caused an earthquake to swallow them whole.
Suddenly, we cut to Beast Boy waking up in his bed, panting. Beast Boy analysed his surroundings and saw that he was just in his room.
"Thank goodness, a dream." Beast Boy said after sighing with relief. Beast Boy laid down to get back to sleep. He then turned over and saw Terra sleeping next to him.
Beast Boy screamed and fell out of his bed.
We then cut to him waking up on the couch, screaming. This caused the other Titans, who were having breakfast, to jump out of the break bar and stand in attack position. "Terra?! Terra?!" Beast Boy yelled.
"Beast Boy, Terra isn't here." Informed Cyborg. "Phew." Beast Boy said while wiping away the sweat from his head.
"No, she's in her room getting ready to betray us." Starfire informed with a huge smile on her face. This news caused Beast Boy to scream in terror.
Beast Boy woke up, screaming on his bed yet again. He looked around and quickly turned into a dog.
"Alright Terra, come out! I'm expecting you right about..." Beast Boy heard his door open and quickly turned into a porcupine and fired the quills from his back.
He quickly turned around and saw it was just Raven, holding a cup of coffee with quills stuck in to it; causing the coffee to leak. "You know, porcupines can't fire it's quills." Raven said, in her deadpanning voice.
Beast Boy turned back to normal, revealing to Raven he isn't wearing any clothes. "Than I'm still dreaming, I need you to-" Beast Boy stopped talking when Raven threw a lamp that was beside Beast Boy's bed at his head, causing it to shatter
"Ok, I'm awake. What are you doing in my room?" Beast Boy said while rubbing his head. "I heard you screaming. I wanted to see if you were ok." Raven said with slight concern in her voice.
"Wow, that's...surprising." Beast Boy said, surprised that Raven came to see he was ok. Since she acted like she didn't care for Beast Boy. "I may find you annoying, you're still...my friend. The annoying one at best." Raven said as she flicked the coffee from her hand.
Beast Boy started at Raven in disbelief at what Raven said. "Now, are you ok?" Raven asked her friend. "I'm fine, I just had a bad dream." Explained Beast Boy. "Wait, how am I so sure this isn't another-" Raven used her magic to throw another lamp at Beast Boy's head. "Ok! Ok! I'm awake! It's just, those stupid dreams about-"
"Terra, I know." Raven said, interrupting Beast Boy's sentence. "You do?" Asked Beast Boy.
"I could hear you yelling her name from my room. I don't know what's gotten into you, but you've been having dreams about her." Raven explained
"I know. They've been going on for a while." Beast Boy explained, sounding quite scared and uncomfortable.
"A while?" Raven asked, slightly curious. "Yeah." Beast Boy said as he nods his head.
Raven threw her mug in the trash can. "Do you wanna talk about them?" Raven asked.
Beast Boy stared at Raven, surprised. "This better not be a prank." Beast Boy said, not believing what Raven wanted to do.
"It's four in the morning. Don't wanna wake anyone up." Raven pointed out. "Ok. I feel I need to talk to somebody about this anyway." Beast Boy said as he jumped out of bed.
Beast Boy was about to walk out of the room but Raven stopped him. "But do put some clothes on. Just because you can turn into animals doesn't mean you have to sleep like one." Raven said while trying to look away.
Beast Boy looked down and realised he was still naked and quickly covered his private area and stared at Raven annoyed. "Why didn't you say anything?" Beast Boy asked his friend, annoyed.
Raven shoulder shrugged and walked out of the room.
Later, Raven and a now clothed Beast Boy, are sitting by the breakfast bar having some tea. "The first dream occurred after that little incident with the fear toxin. You remember when me and Star kept seeing Terra?" Beast Boy asked Raven.
"Yeah. What was it about?" Asked Raven.
"How Terra kept betraying us." Beast Boy explained. "Every time there's a dream I hope is gonna be different, Terra suddenly shows up intent on betraying me." Beast Boy finally sipped his tea.
"So, if you're dreaming about, let's say you playing a prank on Starfire; will Terra pop out of nowhere and attack you?" Raven asked.
"Exactly. I had a dream where we are at the library, reading." Beast Boy said looking scared.
"You reading?" Raven asked wide eyed. "That should be a first sign something wasn't right."
"Don't with the mean comments, I'm trying to take this as serious as you are." Beast Boy exclaimed. "I was, until you mentioned a dream where you were reading in a library." Raven said while Beast Boy rolled his eyes.
"Anyway, we were reading and then Terra crushed us." Beast Boy explained after taking a sip of his coffee. "These dreams are happening more often than I thought. Because of them, I haven't had a decent night sleep. Are they just dreams Raven, or should I take them seriously?"
"If they're recurring, than this is where we start to take them seriously." Raven explained. "Do you have a spell that can help?" Asked Beast Boy.
"I wish I did, but I know of a ritual that will help us enter anybody's dream. If I enter your dream, than I can help you with your nightmares." Raven said in a willing tone of voice. "You'll do that?" Beast Boy asked while giving a small smile.
"You are my friend, after all." Raven replied giving a smile. "Despite the fact you're annoying and a bit of a prankster and your jokes are unfunny."
"Everybody has those friends at some point." Beast Boy said after sipping some more tea. "I guess they do." Raven said while staring at her tea, smiling. "Anyway, we'll do this tomorrow. I better get some sleep."
Raven got off her chair and walked through the door to the corridor, to her room. Beast Boy then smiled and continued to drink his tea.
The next day, Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Jinx and Kid Flash enter the lounge, laughing.
"You got me good with that ridiculous dress, Jinx." Cyborg said, while thinking back to his time in HIVE academy. "I still have it. Maybe you could wear it for old time sakes." Jinx said while giving Cyborg a nudge on the arm.
"I don't-" Cyborg was interrupted when Kid Flash ran out of the lounge and back in with a dress. "Come on, wear it!" Kid Flash yelled, while giving a big smile.
"Wearing it the first time was humiliating, I will not wear it again." Cyborg said, trying to hold in his laughter.
"Go on Cyborg! I think you should wear it." Robin said, giving a smile. "I think so too." Starfire said. "What about you Beast Boy?"
The Titans looked at Beast Boy and saw he is sleeping on the breakfast bar. "Beast Boy, do you wanna see me where a dress?" Asked Cyborg.
Beast Boy didn't reply, he just continued sleeping, which caused the Titans some concern. "Why is Beast Boy sleeping on the bar for breakfast?" Starfire asked as Cyborg threw away the dress.
"He probably got locked out of his room again." Robin said while giving a nervous smile. "If I was locked out, I'd sleep on the couch. Not the breakfast bar." Kid Flash pointed out.
"Beast Boy!" Cyborg yelled in an effort to wake up his friend. "Earth to Beast Boy!"
Jinx hex blasted Beast Boy off the breakfast bar to see if that woke him up. He then fell on the floor while the Titans ran to see if that worked, but that didn't wake him up. "Well, that would've usually woken up any members of my team." Jinx said.
"Beast Boy?" Robin said, trying to see if that will wake up Beast Boy.
Kid Flash ran out of the room, but he returned three seconds later with a megaphone. "Beast Boy, wake up!" Kid Flash yelled through the megaphone. Kid Flash shouting through the megaphone caused the Titans to cover their ears. "Wakey, wakey! Beast Boy, there is an attack on-" Jinx snatched the megaphone out of Kid Flash's hand, annoyed and angry. "I'll stop."
Starfire is then seen in the kitchen cooking something. "Perhaps the smell of food shall awaken Beast Boy from his slumber." Starfire suggested. "What are you cooking?" Asked Cyborg.
"I am making the Slorthka Pie. A traditional meal on Tamaran for when us Tanaraneans can't wake up from a night's slumber." Starfire said, looking very joyous. "And how will this wake him up?" Asked Kid Flash.
"The smell always does the trick." Replied Starfire as she opened the oven and sniffed the pie. Starfire smiled at the smell, while Cyborg collapsed, Jinx wanted to vomit, Robin covered his nose, while Kid Flash ran out of the room.
"Is the smell working?" Starfire asked. "It's doing something, Star." Robin said while holding his nose. "To the wrong people." Jinx said, using the collar of her dress to cover her mouth and nose.
"I assume the smell isn't good?" Starfire asked, looking quite upset
"No, it smells great Star." Robin lied to not upset his girlfriend.
Raven entered the lounge and asked "Why does it smell like something has died?"
"Friend Raven, we cannot seem to wake up Beast Boy." Starfire said. "Did Cyborg try burping his ear?" Asked Raven.
This caused Cyborg to wake up off the floor. "No, we have not." Cyborg replied with a smile. Cyborg approaches Beast Boy, lifts his head up and does a huge burp in his ear while The Titans stared at him unimpressed.
"You went to the HIVE dance with him?" Raven asked Jinx in her monotone self. Jinx looked unimpressed with herself. "I went to the HIVE dance with him." Jinx said as she facepalmed herself.
"That would usually work." Cyborg said disappointingly.
Suddenly, the sleeping Beast Boy said "Terra."
"Beast Boy?!" Cyborg yelled as Kid Flash ran back into the lounge.
"Is Beast Boy awake? And is that stench gone?" Kid Flash asked as he sniffed the air. "He's making noise. He's probably gonna wake up." Cyborg said as he gave a huge smile.
"If I remember correctly, doesn't Beast Boy do the talking while he is sleeping?" Starfire asked Cyborg, causing his smile to disappear. "Oh yeah." Cyborg said, looking very disappointed. Cyborg let's go of Beast Boy's head.
"Terra." Said Raven.
"What about her?" Robin asked her.
"She just couldn't leave him alone." Raven exclaimed, looking very annoyed and angry.
"But I thought Terra was not living anymore." Starfire stated, looking confused.
"She isn't. But she's haunting Beast Boy in his dreams." Raven explained.
"How do you know that?" Asked Robin.
"He told me he's been having recurring nightmares about her." Raven explained as she approached Beast Boy, bent down to her knees and presses her hand on his forehead.
"Is he not ok?" Starfire asked, looking scared and worried for her friend.
"He's alive, but he's stuck in a deep sleep." Raven explained as she stood back up and faced her team.
"What do I have to do to wake him up?" Asked Cyborg. "Do I need to fart in his face?"
"I've already dealt with one awful stench, I don't need to deal with another." Kid Flash said to Cyborg while shaking his head.
"No, we're gonna have to enter his dream in order for him to wake up." Raven explained while Cyborg gave Raven a grin. "When did you start to care for Beast Boy?" Cyborg asked her while folding his arms.
"Beast Boy is a teammate Cyborg, she might not even be attracted to him." Robin pointed out. "I am not, thank you." Raven exclaimed.
"So, we just gotta wake him up from the dream world. No problem." Kid Flash said while looking confident. "There are rules." Said Raven. "Are they as over complicated as the movie Incepting?" Asked Cyborg.
"I haven't seen the movie, they aren't that complicated anyway. Said Raven. "But the rules are, if you die in the dream you'll die in real life. Anything that happens to you in the real world, will affect what happens in the dream. For example: If you are hurt outside the dream than you'll feel that pain inside the dream."
"Doesn't sound that complicated." Said Kid Flash.
"Things don't need to be complicated." Raven said as she folded her arms.
"What do we do first?" Asked Robin. "Place Beast Boy in a more open space." Raven replied.
Cyborg moves away the foot rest, while Robin and Jinx place Beast Boy on the floor. "Little to the right." Raven told Robin and Jinx. Robin and Jinx moved Beast Boy to the right. "Perfect." Raven said while giving a thumbs up.
"Now I need all of us to stand in a circle and hold hands." Raven ordered. Raven, Robin, Starfire, Kid Flash, Jinx and Cyborg stand in a circle, by Beast Boy. Robin held hands with Starfire and Jinx; Jinx held hands with Kid Flash; Kid Flash held hands with Raven; Raven held hands with Cyborg; and Cyborg held hands with Starfire.
"Now, before we begin, I have a question: Who drew a moustache on Beast Boy's face?" Raven asked, looking annoyed.
The other Titans notice Beast Boy had a moustache drawn on his face in black felt tip, which made Jinx chuckle. "Be thankful it doesn't look permanent." Kid Flash said while making the pen disappear with slight of hand trickery.
"Whoever did that, good on ya." Cyborg said as he wiped the felt tip off of Beast Boy's face.
"Ok, we say Azarath Metrion Zinthos over and over again until we're in the dream world." Raven explained as Cyborg went back to holding hands with Starfire and Raven.
"How will we know we're in the dream world?" Jinx asked. "You'll know when we know. Close your eyes and repeat after me." Raven replied.
The Titans closed their eyes as Raven said "Azarath Metrion Zinthos." And soon enough, the other Titans started chanting it as well.
They continued to repeat the chant for 15 more seconds until Kid Flash yawned, this caused them to stop and open their eyes.
"Kid Flash!" Yelled Raven. "Sorry, got a little too tired." Kid Flash explained.
"Nice going, kid! You ruined the ritual." Yelled Cyborg.
The Titans let go of each other's hands. "Are we even in the dream world?" Jinx asked Raven. "No." Raven replied.
"If we are not in the world of the dreams, than where is Beast Boy?" Starfire asked as she pointed to where Beast Boy was.
They looked at the floor and realised Beast Boy wasn't there. Then they started to look around the room to see if they can find Beast Boy.
"Beast Boy?" Robin said trying to find Beast Boy. "Oh, if we caused a spell to send him to an alternative universe than I don't know what I'll do." Cyborg yelled in a panicked state. "If Beast Boy isn't there, than we are in the dream world." Raven said.
"How are you sure we didn't send Beast Boy to a dark universe?" Starfire asked as Kid Flash ran up towards the window.
"Guys, when was the last time buildings floated?" Kid Flash asked. The Titans ran to Kid Flash to look out of the window and Kid Flash was right, the buildings were floating.
"Is this what Beast Boy dreams about?" Robin asked, looking confused about the dream.
Beast Boy suddenly showed up behind them. "I don't remember my dreams being like this." Said Beast Boy. Beast Boy's talking caused the Titans to flinch a bit, since they didn't expect him to pop out of nowhere and then they turned to face him.
"There you are." Cyborg sighed. "Guys, what's going on?" Asked Beast Boy. "I was dreaming about being killed by Terra and then I woke up in the middle of downtown Jump City seeing buildings floating."
"And how do you think you got there?" Cyborg asked his green best friend,
Beast Boy shoulder shrugged. "Sleepwalking?"
"I do not recall you ever doing the walking of sleep, Beast Boy." Starfire pointed out.
"Beast Boy, listen, whatever you think of us, we have entered your mind to try and break you out of this weird place." Raven explained.
"What? Weird place? Breaking out? What kind of weird dream is this?" Beast Boy asked while looking around and scratching his head with his finger.
"You are dreaming with us." Raven replied while gently placing her hands on his shoulders. "I'm sorry, how are we dreaming the same thing?" Asked Beast Boy. "Raven helped us enter your dream through some ritual, since you wouldn't wake up." Robin explained.
"Cyborg, did you try burping in my ear?" Beast Boy asked as Raven removed her hands from his shoulders. "Didn't work." Cyborg replied.
"Not even the delicious scent of the Slorthka Pie could wake you." Starfire said disappointingly. "It probably would've killed you." Jinx warned Beast Boy.
"So, how do we get out?" Asked Beast Boy. "Usually, in order to escape your dream, we have to die in the dream so we can wake up. But this is different, we mustn't die in this dream. We need to break out with the ritual." Raven explained.
Suddenly, Kid Flash snapped his fingers like he realised what this place is.
"We're not in Beast Boy's head." Kid Flash shouted, which made everyone turn their attention to him.
"What do you mean?" Asked Cyborg. "Those floating buildings. "I had a strange dream about this once." Kid Flash explained. "I don't understand, how did we end up in the Kid Flash's dream?" Asked the confused Tamaranean.
"When Kid Flash yawned, my thoughts to how stupid it was caused us to get into his head." Raven explained causing everyone to groan in annoyance.
"Way to go, Kid Flash!" Cyborg yelled. "Sorry, I can't control my yawning." Said Kid Flash.
Raven groaned in annoyance. "We can't break Beast Boy out of the dream world in Kid Flash's dream, we need to perform the ritual again."
"So, it's a sort of dream within a dream situation?" Asked Kid Flash. "Yes." Raven said. "Just like Incepting." Cyborg said while smiling, thinking back to the movie.
"I'd say it's around 80% Incepting. There's no crazy killer after us." Beast Boy pointed out.
Suddenly, a human-shaped figure started to slowly, pull itself out of the wall, causing the Titans to stare at it in fear. "Cyborg, did that ever happen in the movie?" Asked Robin.
The Titans continued to stare at the human-shaped figure as it grew blonde hair, started to grow white skin, grew eyes, sporting yellow shorts, a beige belt and a black crop top with a T symbol. And if you figured it out, it was Terra.
The Titans stared at her confused while Jinx glared at Kid Flash.
"I swear, I never dreamt about her." Kid Flash said, trying to calm down his sort of maybe girlfriend.
"Who the heck cares?" Starfire yelled in excitement. "Friend Terra!!!!!!"
Terra started chuckling while Starfire tried to fly up to her to give her a hug, but Beast Boy stopped her by grabbing her wrist.
"What's wrong, Beast Boy?" Robin asked, noticing this.
"Did the orange one call me "friend?" Terra asked trying to hold in the chuckle.
Starfire removed Beast Boy's hand from her wrist. "Well, you are our friend." Starfire said.
Terra continued laughing and then said "What a dumb troq."
Starfire gasped at the sentence while Robin got angry, over Terra using that comment.
"Terra, your language is most unpleasant." Starfire said, looking sad.
"Terra, your language is most unpleasant." Terra said imitating Starfire. "Jeez, do you even hear yourself?"
"Is that even Terra, Beast Boy?" Robin asked while trying to contain his anger. "I don't know. She looks like Terra, but she doesn't act like her." Beast Boy pointed out.
"But my main question is: Why is she in my head?!" Asked Kid Flash. "You're Kid Flash, ain't ya?" Asked Terra. "Well, he isn't Santa Clause." Raven said in her usual monotone voice.
"You aren't by any chance a fan?" Kid Flash asked while giving her a smug smile. "I was. But then I found out about your little mistake." Terra said while giving a sinister smile.
"Well, we have mistakes we made." Kid Flash said. "Like forgetting to set your alarm clock, not catching a bad guy and-"
"Not saving Jason." Terra said, evilly.
Kid Flash froze in fear upon hearing that all too familiar name. "What did you say?" Asked Kid Flash. "Jason Todd. The one person you couldn't save." Terra said, still sporting an evil smile.
Jinx looked away from Kid Flash in guilt, hinting that she might've had something to do with his death.
"Does a day ever go by when you think about him? How you wish you were fast enough to save him?" Jinx asked, mocking him. Terra's mockery caused Kid Flash to get angry at Terra.
"Kid Flash, ignore her." Raven ordered. "Can't you see she's trying to tick you off?" Cyborg said, in an effort to cool Kid Flash down.
"Maybe that's why you're such a little tease to everybody, you're just joking with everyone because you are too ashamed with the truth about yourself. Despite how fast you ran, you couldn't save-" Before Terra finished her sentence, Kid Flash ran up to Terra to try and punch her, but his fist went through her and she turned to smoke.
"What?" Kid Flash said in disbelief. The Titans looked around and saw the tower was now a graveyard, scaring and confusing them.
Maybe if you were fast enough, maybe he would've been still alive.
Kid Flash looked around and sees a gravestone saying "Here lies Jason Todd". Kid Flash stared shamefully at the gravestone.
Suddenly, a skeletal hand pops out of the grave which caused Kid Flash to move back to the group. A skeleton pops out from the grave, wearing a Robin costume. Cyborg blasted the skeleton with his laser blaster, but it was unharmed.
The skeleton screamed and started running towards the Titans. "Run!" Yelled Raven.
The Titans start running away from the skeleton. "Wait, why are we running away from it?" Beast Boy asked, very confused. "It was unharmed, and judging by the way it was charging at us, it wants to kill us. And it won't stop until it does." Raven said.
"It's just a skeleton, we can just smash it." Said Jinx. "Raven knows more about the dream world than we do, it's best if we listen to her." Robin said to the ex-HIVE.
Raven used her magic to throw a mausoleum at the skeleton, to try and block its path, but it just ran straight through it. Raven turned her head to the right and sees a church. "Into that church!!!" Ordered Raven. "You heard her, Titans!" Robin yelled as the Titans quickly ran into the church.
Cyborg and Starfire slammed the doors, and grabbed a pipe organ to stop Jason from getting in. "What's happening?!" Starfire asked, very scared. "I think Terra is in control of the dream world. Or the subconscious that is Terra." Raven explained.
"What do we do?" Asked Beast Boy, wanting it to be over. "We need to get rid of that subconscious." Raven replied. "How can we get rid of it?" Asked Cyborg.
"We need to go into Beast Boy's dream. If it came from Beast Boy than there will be a high chance of destroying it." Explained Raven. "I find it convenient you know so much of this." Said Jinx. "Can't blame a bookworm." Raven said while giving a shoulder shrug.
Kid Flash sat on a chair, looking sad. Robin noticed this and sat next to him. "You ok?" Robin asked the speedster,
"Uh...Yeah. Just, thinking." Kid Flash said, jumping out of his little world. "Jason?" Asked Robin.
"Yes." Kid Flash said while nodding. "I know this is hard." Robin said as he gently placed a hand on his friend's shoulder. "I know. Thinking of a way of stopping him get in is harder than I thought." Said Kid Flash.
What Kid Flash said, surprised Robin. "Oh. I thought you were-"
"Regretting comes later, survival is our priority right now." Kid Flash said as he stood up while the Titans stared at him, surprised.
"Am I the only one scared seeing Kid Flash this serious?" Cyborg asked, looking kind of frightened. "Enough chatting." Ordered Raven. "Beast Boy, I need you to try and fall asleep so we can preform the ritual to enter your dream."
"Ok, easy." Beast Boy said with a smile.
Beast Boy drops to the floor and closes his eyes. There was a long awkward silence for a while. "Are you sleeping?" Asked Starfire. "No, it's not working." Beast Boy replied with one eye open.
"Perhaps a Tamaranean lullaby shall help?" Starfire suggested.
"Or maybe that pie." Suggested Jinx.
"No, it is only made to wake the sleepy heads." Starfire corrected Jinx.
"And to knock them out." Jinx said in a bit of a monotone voice.
"Here's a lullaby for Beast Boy." Cyborg said, smiling.
Beast Boy sat up and said "I don't think lullabies are gonna-" but before he could finish his sentence, Cyborg slammed his fist on Beast Boy's head.
The pain on his head had Beast Boy rub it, repeatedly. "Ow, that h-" Beast Boy suddenly collapsed and started snoring.
"Ok. I think you know what to do." Raven said.
"You guys better get going without me. I got some bones to bury." Said Kid Flash.
"Flash." Said Jinx. "Yeah?" Kid Flash asked his teammate. "Be careful." Advised Jinx.
Kid Flash smiled and said "I promise."
The other Titans stood in a circle by Beast Boy and held hands with each other.
Raven held hands with Robin and Cyborg; Cyborg held hands with Jinx; Jinx held hands with Starfire; while Starfire held hands with Robin.
Then the Titans that were holding hands started changing "Azarath Metrion Zinthos."
As Raven and the other Titans continued their chant, the skeleton of Jason Todd burst through the door and the pipe organ blocking the door.
"Alright Robin, sorry I'm gonna have to do this. I meant the Jason one obviously, not the-" Kid Flash stopped talking when he suddenly heard some thudding and saw that the Titans were now sleeping.
Kid Flash smiled and said "Good luck guys."
Kid Flash then charged at the Jason skeleton, trying to stop it from reaching his team.
We cut to the other Titans, who are now inside a circus tent.
The Titans looked around the tent and saw a huge crowed of people on their seats cheering for an elephant riding a unicycle.
"Did you ever dream about being an attraction at the circus?" Cyborg asked Beast Boy. "No. Although I did have one of those dreams where I was an attraction at one of those freak shows from the old days." Beast Boy replied. "It was strange."
"Than, what are we doing at a circus?" Asked Jinx. "I don't know. For some strange reason, it looks familiar." Robin said feeling a sense of discomfort and familiarity.
The elephant got off the unicycle and started to walk backstage while holding the unicycle underneath it's trunk. The audience continued to cheer as he walked backstage.
And that was the fantastic, Flumbo and his tiny unicycle.
Beast Boy froze when he recognised that voice. "Uh oh. Terra."
"Lets get out of here." Suggested Raven.
The Titans try and run out the tent, until the spotlight shone on Robin.
And here he is. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls...Terra then walked out from backstage, dressed as the ringmaster. "...The amazing Robin!"
The audience cheered, while Robin tried to escape the spotlight to no avail. Starfire tried to blast Robin out of the spotlight, but it didn't work.
"I know what you're thinking, "But Terra, he isn't part of the acts. Why is he here?" Well, he is a huge fan of the circus aren't you?" Terra chuckled.
"I was a member, maybe that explains why I don't like circuses that's much." Robin hissed at Terra. "Ooooooh. That's interesting." Said Terra, grinning.
"What are you trying to get at, Terra?!" Asked Cyborg, angrily.
"What were you at the circus? A clown? An animal trainer?" Asked Terra while Robin's anger boiled. Terra then grinned sinisterly. "A trapeze artist?"
Robin's anger soon got even hotter when Terra mentioned his previous career. "Yes, that's right. You were!" Terra said while pointing her stick at Robin.
Robin continued to punch at the spotlight he was trapped in, but he still couldn't get out.
"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls; give it up for the main attraction: the death defying, the heart pounding... Robin's anger continued to boil, not wanting Terra to say the two words. "...Dying Graysons!!!!"
The audience cheered as Robin continued to try and punch his way out of the spotlight. Jinx tried to hex blast Terra, but her blasts only went through her.
"Well, somebody isn't a fan of the circus." Terra laughed.
"Let Robin out Terra!!" Beast Boy ordered. "Oh, please zip it!" Terra said while making a zipping mouth gesture.
Suddenly, Beast Boy's mouth gets zipped shut. Beast Boy tried to pull the zip, but it was too strong. "Let's watch their death defying act." Terra said with an enthusiastic smile.
Terra looked up and two bodies fell on the ground. The audience cheered while Robin's anger turned to sadness and shock.
"I would show the build up, but the audience is only here for the grand finale." Terra said while smiling, mocking Robin.
The audience continued to cheer and laugh at the sight of the bodies of John and Mary Grayson. "Look at Robin, he looks like he's shocked by the outcome." Terra said, mocking Robin even further.
Terra laughed as she disappeared and so did the audience and the spotlight Robin was trapped in. The Titans stared at Robin with so much sorrow on their faces while Robin stared at the body's, saddened.
A tear fell from Robin's face as he continued staring at the lifeless body of his parents.
"Well that was a showstopper." Beast Boy quipped. The quip caused the other Titans to glare at Beast Boy. "Bad time?"
"What happened?" Jinx asked, staring at Robin feeling sorry for him.
Robin started to slowly walk up to his parents' bodies while Starfire slowly walked up, hands clasped together. "Robin lost his family in an accident. They were the artists of the trapeze, until one night: they died at the hands of some gangster. When he cut their rope and they fell to their deaths."
Robin approached the corpses and dropped to his knees, feeling saddened.
"I think he needs some alone time. Just as long as the corpses don't attack him." Raven said, feeling sympathy for Robin.
Suddenly, Robin screamed in terror which made the Titans turn to face their and they saw that he was running from his parents, who are now zombies.
"You just had to say it?" Beast Boy asked Raven, annoyed.
Raven used her magic to put up a shield, so the zombies wouldn't get through. "Can't a guy just mourn for two minutes?!" Robin yelled as Starfire held him by the shoulder.
"Ok, we're doing this again. And this time, no talking!" Raven ordered. "Ok. Somebody-" Before Beast Boy finished his sentence, Cyborg slammed his fist on his head again, knocking him out.
"How long can the shield hold them?" Robin asked as he readied his staff. "You have enough time." Replied Raven.
The Titans, except for Robin stood in a circle by Beast Boy and held hands. "Robin?" Starfire said, feeling concerned for her boyfriend.
Robin wiped away his tear, not staring at his team. "You go on without me." Ordered Robin. "Somebody needs to watch them just in case they break through."
"Ok." Was all Raven said as she gave Robin a nod.
Raven held hands with Starfire and Jinx; Starfire held hands with Cyborg; and Cyborg held hands with. And started doing the chant.
They continued chanting when suddenly, Starfire sneezed.
The team opened their eyes and saw that they were on a field with purple grass.
"You just had to sneeze." Raven hissed at her friend. "Apologies, I couldn't hold it in for very long." Starfire said, whilst looking guilty.
The guilt soon disappeared when Starfire saw the sight of the purple grass and smiled.
"We are on Tamaran before the Gordanians got here." Starfire said, reminiscing as she did. "How did we get here?"
"You sneezed." Raven pointed out.
"Wow, this planet is very pretty." Jinx said, admiring it's beauty.
"But do not be fooled by anything that looks ordinary. I had trouble trying to sleep on this planet." Beast Boy warned Jinx, still not feeling great after the last time he came here. "Well, this dream ain't all too bad. I don't think Starfire has any traumatic memories." Cyborg said, smiling at the beauty of Tamaran.
Starfire's smile soon fades when she starts to realise something isn't right. "Wait, a minute. This is way too peaceful."
"Tell me about it." Said the smug voice of Terra. The Titans turn to where the voice came from and see Terra standing in the fields, smiling and taking off her shades. "Gotta say: Pretty planet."
"Whatever you are intending to do Terra, I beg of you not to." Starfire said, hands clasped together. "Can't I just enjoy this planet for five more seconds." Terra asked as she put her shades back on.
"Well, you can but-" Starfire than realised something. "What do you mean five seconds?"
Suddenly, the purple fields turned into a fiery wasteland, causing Starfire to stare at the sight in horror. Terra laughed at the sight as she slowly turned into Blackfire.
"What's the matter sister? Don't like what I've done to place?" Blackfire asked, mocking her sister, which gave her a glare from Starfire.
"Ok! Whoever you are, this needs to stop!!" Cyborg ordered. "Yes! And please don't make pleasant looking dreams turn unpleasant!!" Yelled Beast Boy.
Blackfire laughed at Beast Boy's suggestion. "Oh please. Watch-" Suddenly, Blackfire got blasted by Starfire in a blast of angry retaliation.
The Titans stared at Starfire in surprise, as they have never seen her this angry. "You might as well go on ahead. I have some business of family to attend to." Starfire suggested with her eyes glowing a fiery green. Starfire flew up to Blackfire and started to fight her.
The Titans stood, still surprised. "Didn't see that coming." Said the surprised Jinx.
Cyborg quickly knocked Beast Boy out by yet again, slamming his fist on Beast Boy's head.
We then cut to the next dream level, which looked like the corridor in a laboratory. Raven analysed the area and then said "Ok, nobody has made any sort of sound to make my mind lose track. So-"
"I never had this dream." Beast Boy said, interrupting Raven.
"Then who's is it?" Asked Jinx.
"It's my dream." Cyborg replied, glumly. Beast Boy stared at Cyborg concerned, due to most of the dreams being so messed, he's worried how this one will mess his best friend up.
"Wait, I thought Cyborgs don't dream." Said Jinx. "This one does." Cyborg replied, looking like he really didn't wanna be here.
They suddenly heard someone wooing.
They started walking down the corridor to find the source of the wooing. They walked down the hallway and saw Terra wearing a lab coat and watching something through a window; while eating popcorn. "Oh, this is awesome!" She said.
Terra then noticed them. "There you are, you're just missing it." Terra yelled before taking a handful of popcorn and eating it.
The Titans stared at her with confusion and worry. "Well, don't be shy. Come on." Terra said.
The Titans reluctantly walked to where Terra was standing and started staring at the window. Through the window, was a room where a scientist was operating on something.
"What is this?" Asked Jinx. "The day I was reborn." Cyborg replied while looking down, meanings he didn't really see this.
"Why are we back here?" Beast Boy asked Terra.
"I thought I could show Cyborg the day he was created." Terra said while offering Beast Boy some popcorn.
Cyborg then started to glare at Terra and said "I'm leaving."
Cyborg tried turning around, but a powerful force forced him to turn back around. "Raven, do something. I don't wanna see this." Cyborg said, slightly scared.
"I can't. Something is telling me to watch it." Raven said, trying to close her eyes but she couldn't. "That'll be me. My bad." Terra said while giving an innocent smile.
"Stop it! I don't wanna see this!" Cyborg yelled.
"Come on, what's wrong with a bit of nostalgia?" Terra asked while throwing popcorn at Cyborg.
"This isn't nostalgic to me! Turn it off!" Yelled Cyborg.
"Does this look like a TV?" Terra asked.
Cyborg watched in horror as he heard the screams of his human self. "That's enough! I can't see anymore!" Cyborg screamed. "Fine!" Terra said with a gruff, snapped her fingers and Cyborg's human self jumped out of the window and started to attack him.
Cyborg kicked his human self off of him and tackled him to the ground. Cyborg's human self kicked Cyborg off of him and jumped in the air, attempting to jump on him. But Cyborg quickly blasted his human self.
"You want us to help?" Asked Raven. "Stop whatever's happening to Beast Boy you three. I'll hold him off." Ordered Cyborg. Raven gave Cyborg an assuring nod.
We then cut to Raven, Beast Boy and Jinx landing in a white void.
"Ok, this better be your dream this time." Raven said, getting annoyed by all the dreams she's been hopping.
"I remember standing in a white void before." Replied Beast Boy. "But I don't remember there being a door saying "Your biggest regret." Jinx and Raven turn around and see the door Beast Boy was referring to.
Jinx sighed then sighed and said "It's my dream."
"I don't understand, nobody made a noise again." Raven said as she tried to think of an explanation. "Why are we in your dream?" Raven continued to think until she slowly came to an answer. "Unless..." Raven then came to a realisation.
"You got it!" Said an all to familiar voice. The Titans turn around and see Terra standing where they just landed. Her top now has an "H" instead of a "T."
"I don't get it." Jinx said. "Care to elaborate?!"
"Terra is a powerful dream subconscious who is trying to stop us from getting to Beast Boy and doing a poor job at it." Raven explained.
"Some of it was right." Said Terra. "I was just warming you up, Raven. Sending you to other people's dreams wasn't easy, but all that hard work was worth it. Now, aren't you gonna look through the door Jinx? Tell them of your nightmare."
Jinx reluctantly walked towards the door and opened it. Jinx stood horrified at the sight she witnessed, while Beast Boy and Raven try and look over Jinx's shoulder to see what she's seeing. "I see nothing." Said Beast Boy as he tried to look over her shoulder. "I see nothing either." Said Raven as she also tried to look over Jinx's shoulder.
"Why don't you tell them what you saw? Or is it a little too..." As Terra continued talking, she suddenly turned into The Joker "...dark for your taste?"
Joker laughed at the sight of Jinx suffering.
Jinx quickly closed the door and hex blasted Joker."
"I think you two know the drill by now." Jinx said to Beast Boy and Raven. "What was through that door?" Asked Raven.
"Best you don't know." Jinx replied.
Jinx runs up to fight the Joker, while Raven approaches Beast Boy.
"Ok, do I need to be knocked out again?" Asked Beast Boy.
"Not this time." Replied Raven. "I think you have a big enough bump on your head in the real world."
"You sure you don't wanna knock me out?" Beast Boy asked Raven while grinning, "It'll be fun."
"Do you want Terra out of your head or not?" Raven asked angrily.
"Sorry, joking." Said Beast Boy. "Ok, what do we do?"
"Take my hands." Said Raven as she held them out. Beast Boy held Raven's hands in his. "Now close your eyes and repeat after me."
Raven and Beast Boy closed their hands and started chanting "Azarath Metrion Zinthos."
The two continued their chanting until they opened their eyes and saw that they were in a black void.
Beast Boy looked around the room, unsure if this was his dream. "Are we-"
"We are." Replied Raven. "Now, where are you Terra?"
Suddenly, Raven got hit by a huge rock. Beast Boy looked behind him and saw Terra lifting up a bunch of rocks.
"Welcome back to the your world. To your nightmare." Terra said, now sporting a deep sinister voice. "What do you exactly want? Why are you trying to destroy me?" Beast Boy asked, getting frustrated.
"What's wrong, can't handle a bit of fear?" Terra asked Beast Boy, sinisterly. "Isn't being scared meant to be a little fun?"
Raven got up and tried to blast her, but Terra dodged the blast. "Why should you be facing me?" Terra asked Raven. "I am not your biggest fear."
"No, but you're the biggest traitor." Raven said with much anger in her voice.
"How about we don't fight for once and talk?" Terra asked trying to ease the tension.
"When were you one for talking?" Hissed Raven.
Beast Boy suddenly took notice of a boat, which made him uncomfortable.
"You ever wondered why he always kept joking? You ever wondered why he was always that annoying friend you always wanted?" Terra asked as she lowered the rocks she was controlling. "I assumed he was born that way." Raven said in her deadpanning way.
"In a way, yes." Terra said. "What do you mean?" Raven asked as Beast Boy started to slowly approach the boat.
"Take a look at him." Terra told Raven. Raven turned to see Beast Boy continuing to walk towards the boat, looking scared of what's there.
Beast Boy approaches the boat and sees the people on board. They were a man and a woman and they looked to be a married couple. Beast Boy saw them, held his hand out and started running. "Don't!" Beast Boy yelled out. But the boat exploded, leaving the couple to burn inside and Beast Boy watched the burning boat in horror.
Tears fell from his face as he continued to watch the boat burn. "Who were they?" Raven asked Terra, looking quite sorry for Beast Boy.
"Isn't is obvious?" Asked Terra. "They're his parents."
Raven looked at Beast Boy, feeling sorry and sad for him. "Why did you show it to him?" Raven asked, still feeling sorry and sad.
"Don't you get it?" Terra said as she spreads her arms out. "I am his biggest fears, his biggest regrets."
Beast Boy turned into a gorilla and clenched his fists when he heard Terra talk.
"So that's all you are? An embodiment." Raven asked, looking angry this time.
"Bingo!" Terra said while clicking her fingers and pointing them at the empath. "Look at him now, because you got curious. He's broken. He never wanted to think of that awful moment ever again, but I wanted him to see it. Just to remind him that despite the fact he saved people, he didn't save everyone. Like them and me."
Beast Boy suddenly charged at Terra and started to punch her repeatedly. "Why are you doing this to me?! Why?!" Beast Boy yelled, letting all his rage out, which just made Terra laugh out loud.
"What are you doing?" Terra asked, while still laughing. "Getting rid of my regrets!" Beast Boy said as he pushed Terra to the wall. Beast Boy then continued to beat up Terra by punching her repeatedly, he threw her to the ground and kicked her. While Raven just watched on.
"Beast Boy!" Raven yelled trying to get Beast Boy to stop. "This has nothing to do with you!!" Beast Boy yelled at his friend which made her surprisingly intimidated by Beast Boy. This is a side Raven has never seen from him before. Sure he got angry, but this was at a more emotional and personal level.
"Yes, continue to beat up your regrets." Terra said, enjoying Beast Boy's rage. "What about your fears?"
"What do you know about fear?" Beast Boy asked, while punching her. "Because I represent your biggest fears as well." Terra replied with a grin.
Beast Boy threw Terra to the ground and stomped on Terra, causing her to be knocked out for good. Beast Boy turned back to his regular form. "There! I've finally beaten you!" Beast Boy yelled, sounding relived and happy.
Raven approached Beast Boy, unsure of how to feel about what he did. "Garfield, I didn't expect that." Raven said, slightly intimidated.
"What?! Me beating Terra's butt?!" Beast Boy yelled. "Yeah, I did do that! Isn't that right...Robin?" The sudden change in Beast Boy's voice was reasonable due to Terra's place being taken by Robin.
"What?" Raven asked, slightly worried and confused.
Robin suddenly flickered into Starfire, then Cyborg, then Kid Flash, then Jinx and then Raven. "What?" Raven yelled, upon seeing herself.
Raven stared at Beast Boy confused. "Are you afraid of me and the other Titans?" Raven asked, feeling quite upset. "No. Why would I?" Beast Boy replied, looking quite unsure.
"Terra said she was the embodiment of your fears, why am I one of your biggest fears?" Raven asked, looking offended.
Beast Boy put his head down in shame and sat on the floor, feeling ashamed and sad.
"I didn't understand what it meant at first, but now I do." Beast Boy said while looking at the other Raven. "Terra said she was the embodiment of my fears and regrets." Beast Boy continued as Raven sat next to him, listening to what he had to say. "I didn't save Terra or my parents, which is something I regret everyday. But when I saw the team and you flickering, I knew it meant something else. My biggest fear is, I might lose you because I did not save you. Any of you."
Raven started to feel something she never felt for Beast Boy before, she felt sorry yet sad for him. Beast Boy started tearing up while trying to stop himself from crying.
"You and the other members are like family to me. We fight, yet we're there for each other in the end. We argue, yet we laugh. I couldn't save my family or Terra and because of that, I lost them. I don't wanna lose any of you because I couldn't save you. I...I...I..." Beast Boy couldn't hold it in any longer. He placed his hands against his face and started sobbing.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry." Beast Boy yelled in-between his sobs.
"Stop apologising." Raven ordered as she wrapped her arms around Beast Boy and started hugging him, trying her best to comfort him; surprising not just herself, but Beast Boy. "Beast Boy, stop worrying." Raven said in more gentle tone than what she usually puts on. "If you lost any of us, you shouldn't put the blame on yourself. Your parents and Terra, was never your fault. Terra made a sacrifice, while your parents just got bad luck. Their loss was never your fault. They never were. Don't ever blame yourself for something that is out of your control, do you understand?"
Beast Boy returned the hug while holding in the tears. "I understand."
Raven and Beast Boy continued to hug each other as the void started to crumble.
We cut to the Titans waking up in the lounge looking either traumatised or scared. "We are never doing that again." Cyborg said, looking scared and angry. "Agreed." Kid Flash said as he got up and dusted himself off.
"That was disturbing." Was all Robin could say as he tried to take in the thoughts of his parents coming to life and trying to kill him.
"Most disturbing." Starfire said, looking more disturbed than Robin.
While Jinx stared at Kid Flash and Robin, looking guilty. Still feeling regret to what she did to Jason.
"Did you figure out what that thing was Beast Boy?" Cyborg asked as Beast Boy and Raven sat up. "We did." Raven replied glumly.
"They're gone now." Beast Boy said as tears started falling down his face.
Beast Boy wiped away the tears that were flowing down his face, while the other Titans stared at him concerned and worried.
"Beast Boy, are you ok?" Robin asked his teammate, concerned.
"Yeah." Beast Boy replied. "Had to face some of my biggest fears and regrets. That's what this was about. Facing your fears and regrets. Cause facing those kinds of things, will make everything much easier for you."
"Are you ok now Beast Boy?" Kid Flash asked, in a more serious toned voice.
"I am now." Beast Boy said, with a smile. "Let's just have some breakfast and woop some bad guy butt later today."
The Titans, except Jinx, smiled. "Sounds good to me." Robin said. "Boo-Yah, I'm in." Yelled Cyborg.
Later, Beast Boy is seen entering his room, intending on going to bed. He closes his door and starts walking to his bed.
Just as he was walking, he suddenly hears a knock on the door. Beast Boy approaches the door and opens it to see Raven standing there. "Hi." Raven said while giving an awkward smile.
"Hey, what's up?" Asked Beast Boy, wondering why Raven is here.
"I wanted to see how you were holding up." Raven replied. "I'm ok." Beast Boy said while giving a small smile.
"Today was probably too much for you. You sure you don't feel any negative emotion regarding them?" Raven asked her teammate with concern.
"A little bit upset, I guess." Beast Boy said while rubbing his back.
"Least I know why you're so jokey. I never knew you had this much demons." Raven said giving a small smile.
"Sometimes we joke as a way to cope with our fears and regrets." Said Beast Boy.
"I can tell." Said Raven. "Like I said: Only came to check up on you. Goodnight."
"Goodnight." Said Beast Boy as Raven started to walk back to her room.
Beast Boy watched as Raven started to walk to her room. He then said "Hey Raven." Raven stopped and turned to face Beast Boy. Beast Boy smiled and said to her "You're a great friend."
Raven smiled at Beast Boy's compliment and said "So are you."
Raven walked into her room while Beast Boy poked his head back in and closed the door. Beast Boy turned to face his bed but instead of his bed in front of him, he saw Terra. "Missed me?" Terra asked while giving a huge smile. But Beast Boy wasn't happy to see her, he looked shocked and frightened.
