Harry woke up early the next morning as he had quidditch practice. He couldn't believe it was his senior year. He had won the cup three years, his third year with Oliver and the last two. Like Oliver he was intent on having the cup for his final year as well. He hoped to play quidditch next year and had heard rumors that the United's seeker was retiring at the end of the season. He thought it would be amazing to play with Oliver and Katie on the team. Oliver also played for the national team for two years, as starting keeper this past summer. Harry would consider teaching down the line if something opened up. But he didn't see Remus leaving defense so he wasn't sure that was an option.

He got dressed and tried to be as quiet as he could as he left the bedroom. He usually tried to be quiet this early but he had more then one reason. He was worried his dads would stop him going if he woke them. He was surprised to find them both in the sitting room.

Harry groaned. "Great."

Sirius smirked. "Keep that up cub and we will ground you from practice."

Harry held out hope that was a good thing. "I have to go to practice. I am the captain."

Remus motioned to the table. "Sit and have some breakfast first."

Sirius saw he was about to protest. "You are early and your team will be doing the same."

Harry went to sit down. "I am going to my practice."

Remus reminded him. "Even captains can miss practice."

Sirius saw Harry's look for help. "I agree with Moony cub."

Harry grunted. "You know the two of you are turning into Molly. Besides we are having try outs"

Remus laughed a bit at that. "Well who better to get parenting advice from?"

Sirius didn't find it as amusing. "Not just grounded but cleaning with Filch."

Harry reminded them. "I am an adult."

Remus motioned to the food. "You are still considered a minor in school. And seventeen or seventy you are our son."

Harry knew they had a point and started to eat his breakfast. He had been extremely early and he knew his team would not be missing him. He had set his alarm quite early in hopes his dads would not expect him to leave so soon. He had been surprised when on his sixteenth birthday the marauders had presented him with adoption papers, two sets as they were unmarried, but he had been elated. He loved having a real family for the first time since his parents died. But he did think from time to time they were turning a bit into Molly. Okay perhaps not that bad but still.

Harry escaped from their rooms as soon as he had eaten a suitable amount of food in their mind. He wasn't sure what they thought, that if he was too hungry he may look for a snake to bed. He found his team heading down to the pitch and joined them.

Ron turned to him when changed and heading out to the pitch. "Where were you last night? Hermione mentioned the snakes messing with you."

Harry grunted. "Had to spend the night with my dads. Swear they are turning into your mum."

Ron laughed a bit. "I don't see them getting that bad."

Ginny who had come up beside them agreed. "Though Mum also doesn't live at school."

Harry motioned. "We should get on the field. Those looking to try out should be down."

Ron eyed him. "No broom?"

Harry smirked. "Last I looked the captain didn't have to try out. Now you two on the other hand….."

They knew he was kidding and headed out with him onto the field. Ron had actually changed positions last season. He had been big enough to admit he hadn't made the best keeper. But it turned out the twins were not the only beaters in the family. The twins had encouraged their little brother to consider switching positions when they graduated and he had taken their advice. Though not at the level of Fred and George, he and Seamus who tried out for the first time, made a really good pair. Charlie and the twins were the only natural players in the family. Ginny who had gone chaser now that Harry was back playing may make a reserve as a professional but not a starter at least right off. Ron it was a hobby. Harry, Ron, Seamus, Ginny and Collin Creevey who had joined Ginny and Katie as a chaser, were left. They needed a new chaser and keeper, as Ron's replacement had been a seventh year who graduated. With three of them graduating this year, Harry hoped to find someone younger, at least choosing reserves so they didn't lose almost the entire team again and again.

In the end it turned out there would be two Creeveys to his shock on his team. Dennis turned out to be quite the keeper. He chickened out trying out the previous year but he had some good skill. They chose a fourth year named Mandy as the new chaser. And a few new reserves.

Harry was in the stands after the others went to change when he heard a voice. "Planning to spy?"

Harry turned to look at Draco. "We both know only one team needs to resort to that."

Draco smirked. "We will beat you again."

"In the four seasons you and I have played each other, you have never beaten me."

Draco grumbled. "Well that will end this year."

Harry stood up to leave. "Dream on Malfoy."

Draco grabbed him by the arm. "Not so fast."

Harry could almost feel his breath. "What are you doing Malfoy?"

Draco drew closer. "Maybe thinking of other kind of….."

Harry was wondering if Draco was about to kiss him when Ron's voice cut in. "Oy Malfoy get your hands off him."

Draco pulled back from Harry. "Get lost weasel. We don't need spies."

Ron turned to Harry. "We should get to lunch."

Harry went to go with Ron but he had the moment in his head. He shook away such thoughts though. He was grateful Ron had come up when he had. Ron had never made peace with Draco and he wasn't sure why Harry was on friendly terms with him. Hermione loved Ron but she told him he really needed to grow up about things. She reminded him as Harry did that the Malfoys had helped save not only Sirius but them in the ministry. As they went to have lunch in the hall Harry tried to keep his mind away from the incident with Draco.

Hermione was worried when Harry seemed distracted. He tried to assure her. "Just thinking about the season."

Nott seemed to know he was in for it and had been keeping his head low. He had not left campus the night before but he had not come for meals. Severus could have gone into the dorms but for now he did not. He could admit he wanted to ring the brat's neck for his little stunt. He had enough to worry about with accidental potions accidents in his class. Heck he had to save Nott from an accidental one in the start of his class. But the first day of school, a Friday at that, and Nott had caused an intentional accident. He seemed to be trying to set a record on the earliest expulsion from school in the year. He knew he couldn't expel the brat but he would make sure he thought twice about doing anything again. It was bad enough he had risked two other students but he had also showered his teacher in the process.

He had actually thought of expelling the brat but Albus as always had stepped in. He reminded Severus that the boy was close to graduating and should be given a chance to fix things. Severus should have been happy for once that Albus was actually being lenient with his house. The bias shown by most of the staff against his house was shared by Albus in full. Filius and he could admit Remus now were exceptions.

He was heading out of the hall after lunch when he saw the kid skulking around. "There you are Mr. Nott."

Theo looked like he planned to run. "Crap."

"I would rethink leaving unless you wish for me to rethink Albus' instructions not to expel you."

Theo turned back to him. "Professor I don't know what you mean."

Severus smirked. "We both know what you added to that potion Mr. Nott."

Theo didn't back down. "A slip of the hand."

"A hand on ingredients that didn't belong to you."

Theo shrugged. "Well no one was hurt."

"You can be grateful you didn't burn your fellow classmates or your professor for that matter."

Theo put on a fake repentant look. "I am truly relieved you are safe."

"You will be providing me a ten scroll paper on the different uses of all varieties of love potions."

Theo went white but he smiled. "Fine."

"And you will be spending the next month, every evening, cleaning toilets and so on with Filch."

Theo sputtered at that. "You can't do that to me. I did no harm to anyone but your little pathetic godson."

Severus smirked. "Make that three months, including Saturday nights. Would you like to add to that?"

Theo thought better of it. "No sir."

"You can report to Argus after dinner tonight, though your official count starts on Monday."

Theo looked ready to argue that last part was not fair but he held his tongue and stormed off in the other direction. Severus was not used to his own house speaking back to him. He rarely gave his house detentions but when he did they knew better then to argue with him. One could contest detentions if they were thought unfair but only to their head of house so Nott was out of luck. Not that Minerva and others would not have agreed with him. Albus may have taken pity if it was one of the other houses but he wouldn't step in for a snake.

He was about to head down to the dungeons when he heard voices. "We should find that snake and hang him out a window."

Miss Granger's voice could be heard chiming in. "Ronald."

Harry grunted. "Could do worse to him."

Ron agreed. "Though not too hard. He did dose those slimy snakes."

Hermione reminded him. "On of them is our Professor Ron."

Harry grunted. "He probably gave Nott an award for it. I have my doubts he doesn't know the cure and just wont give me it."

Ron agreed. "Probably wants to make you suffer."

"He is our teacher he wouldn't do that." Hermione tried to calm him.

Harry smirked. "Like he is above favoring his precious snakes. The dungeon bat."

Ron agreed. "Maybe he bribed him."

Severus made himself known. "Mr Potter and Mr. Weasley."

Harry turned to look to him. "Professor."

"I wouldn't be criticizing a professor in the hall. I believe you need time to learn to respect your teachers."

Ron smirked. "I bet you do."

Severus turned to him. "You Mr. Weasley can join Mr. Nott with Filch tonight cleaning toilets."

Ron grumbled as Hermione dragged him off. "See."

Severus turned to Harry and looked at the boy. So the boy thought that he was pretending about the potion? Or maybe he was simply trying to down play it to his friends. He wondered if he had told his friends what the potion would do to him. He highly doubted Harry had revealed the truth to Weasley. The little red headed brat would likely accuse him of trying to seduce Harry if he knew.

He looked at Harry. "And you can clean cauldrons for me tonight."

Harry grumbled. "I am not spending an evening with you."

"Then you should watch your tongue in the hall."

Harry looked towards Ron and back. "I will clean toilets with Filch."

"You will take the detention you were given. And for that you have another night."

Albus appeared next to them. "What is going on here?"

Severus explained the conversation and ended with. "He seems to be debating his detentions."

Albus to no shock sided with Harry. "Perhaps I should take his detention."

Severus smirked. "It falls to the professor who gave it to hold it."

Harry reminded him. "I can go to my head, she can over turn you."

Severus smirked. "Likely will give you a weeks detention if you try. She will be no happier with you."

Albus sighed and turned to Harry. "You will go to the dungeons after dinner."

Harry stormed off down the hall. Severus had been right about Minerva. Minerva never took it easy on her own house. She expected them to uphold the honor of their house to a very high level. And she would not be pleased about Harry's actions in the hall. He would be lucky to only get a week from her if he contested the detention. Two nights was fair for his back talk.

Albus looked at him. "Do you really think this is wise? Minerva or I will take it."

Severus went to leave. "Worried about your little lion are you Albus?"

Albus reminded him. "With the potion it might not be wise."

"Are you insinuating that I would force myself on a student? James Potter's son at that?"

Albus sighed. "Normally no. But that potion will give you the hormones of a teen."

Severus ground his teeth. "If I was attracted to him in the first place."

Albus had an odd twinkle in his eye. "Remember he is your student Severus."

Severus went down to his lab and he could not ignore the man's words. He told himself that never in his life would he be attracted to that boy. He reminded himself Harry was no longer a boy. But he was the bloody walking image of James Potter. Never in his life would he want to bed that lion, man or not. But he could admit that the thought of having Harry alone in his lab all night was bringing up certain thoughts in his mind. And perhaps stirring up other body parts on him then his mind it seems. He headed into his rooms as he needed a cold shower.

As he tried to calm his hormones in the shower he smiled a tad. "I have never looked forward to detention as much as right now."
