Shizukana's P.O.V.

"Now, you're just being troublesome." He said before appearing right before me. He had my sword in his hand.

I froze in surprise. He lifted the sword and made a clean cut through my neck.

I stumbled back while putting my hands on my neck. I felt a warm liquid stream down my neck.

I fell to the floor.

I felt pain all over my body. You can't die. Not like this. Not by the hands of a snake.

I knew I only had seconds before I ran out of time, so I had to think fast. Rewind. If I can rewind time then I can dodge the attack.

It was a leap of faith. But I have to do it.

I closed my eyes and concentrated.

Maki Modosu.

Third Person's P.O.V

Orochimaru watched as Shizukana fell to the ground. Shame, she had potential.

Maki Modosu

His eyebrows furrowed when blue and red marking covered Shizukana's face. But before anything else happened, the world paused for a second before rewinding itself like a mixed tape.

The leaf that fell from the tree, flew back to its spot on the branch. The bird that flew over the forest reversed it's course. The whole world reversed and every single thing on the planet went back in time.

Shizukana stood up as the cut on her neck vanished.

The white-haired girl chuckled in giddiness but composed herself when everything came to place. She focused on returning back to normal.

Orochimaru stepped back and got hit by the kunai. She deactivated Maki Modosu and everything returned back to its normal time.

Orochimaru got hit by the kunai, but this time Shizukana didn't stop when he pulled it out of his shoulder.

She ran to her sword and sliced through the air. His hand would have been on the floor if not for his speed but she did manage to cut his pinky finger off.

It fell to the floor and Shizukana backed away. Orochimaru hissed in pain.

"I will deal with you." He said spilling Killing Intent all over the place. Shizukana channeled Chakra into her sword and the sword glowed white as lightning Chakra covered the sword.

Shizukana ran at full speed ramming her sword forward but Orochimaru stepped back and dodged all the attacks. He climbed onto a tree.

"My job is done. I will be seeing Sasuke again." He said before slithering away.

Shizukana stood there, dumbfound at the sudden disappearance. But she didn't let her guard down. She scanned the area before running to her clones.

Hiding inside a cave, her clones stood there, protecting Naruto and Sasuke.

She walked in and checked on Naruto who was sweating. One of her clones was laying a towel on his forehead.

Shizukana looked at Sasuke who was shivering. Her clone was also keeping a towel on his forehead.

After a while, Shizukana dispersed the clones and began to set traps.

Shizukana's P.O.V

I sighed in relief as I entered the cave. I sat on the ground and took a deep breath.

I nearly died. I was at the brink of death. I shook my head and chuckled.

I then took out bandages and wrapped them on my wounds. The wind attack caused some damage.

I looked at Sasuke and Naruto. The both of them were laying on the ground. They don't look like they need help but it was a close call.

I snapped my head to the side when I heard my trap go off. Someone's here.

I pulled out a kunai and peeked out the entrance of the cave. Damn. It's those Sound Ninja.

My legs wobbled as I stood up.

I heard of one of them yell as one of my traps went off.

"Who ever this is, they are gonna pay." I heard one of them say. I slowly walked forward and attached Chakra string to my kunai. They manipulate sound, meaning they can disrupt the movement of my kunai.

I tried to jump to the branches and get an advantage but I got caught. "There, someone's there." One of them yelled making me pause.

"Well, if it isn't a little princess." One of them said. It was the same guy who kept looking at me during the first exam.

"Where is Sasuke Uchiha?" The guy with the sound gauntlet asked.

Sasuke. They're after Sasuke. Maybe they work for Orochimaru.

"What do you want with Sasuke?" I asked taking a defensive stance in front of the cave.

"Just wake him up so we can deal with this." The female member of the group said.

"If you want him, then you're gonna have to go through me." I said making the three of them laugh. I tightened my grip on my kunai.

The female member ran towards me and threw a punch at my face. I dodged it and swiped my kunai at her face. She stepped back and swiped her legs underneath mine.

I stumbled to the ground but rolled away when her hand came down to where my head was supposed to be. I kicked her on the stomach and punched her in the nose.

She stumbled back and the creep who was staring at me came forward. He licked his lips before making hand signs.

I leaped from the ground when the ground started to tremble. He sent sound waves underground to make them like quick sand.

I threw my kunai at him but he dodged it and it hit the tree behind him. "Missed." He said mockingly.

"It wasn't aiming for you." I said pulling the strings attached to the kunai, setting off a trap.

A huge log came hurtling down from above. He dodged it but didn't see the kunai coming after it.

One of the kunai kit him in the thigh making him curse in pain. The leader of the group with the gauntlet stepped in pushing his teammates behind him.

"That's enough. Time to get started." He said putting his hand to the ground.

The ground beneath me trembled and I tried to get away but fell for his trap. He manipulated the sound waves to hit me directly in the face.

I fell to the ground. My ears were ringing in a high pitch and I felt nauseous. My vision was blurred but I saw them coming closer to me.

I tried to throw my kunai only for it to hit a tree somewhere else. But suddenly, a green blur came out of nowhere and stood in front of me.

I managed to stand up. I limped towards the cave and rubbed my eyes.

Lee stood in front of me. He was fighting the leader of the sound ninja. The both of them were in a heavy taijutsu battle when the female member threw senbon at Lee.

Lee fell limp as his leg was hit by the senbon. I threw a kunai at her and she looked at me with anger. "Stay out of it." She yelled running towards me.

Before I could get away, the creep from before came in between us. "Kin, she's mine."

He eyes were full of lust while I gave him a disgusted look. I punched him the chest but he tackled me to the ground.

I tried pushing him off but he put his hand on my throat making it hard for me to breath. I tried to grab onto anything near me but 'Kin' stomped on my left hand.

"You're not doing a good job, Zaku." She said as she grinded my fingers into the ground making me scream in pain.

I used my right hand and jabbed it into the eye of 'Zaku'. He cried out in pain and I took it as an opportunity to escape. I gathered chakra into my fist as I punched him in the gut sending him flying to the back.

I stood up and kicked Kin in the shin making her fall backwards. I threw a kunai at her palm making her yell out in pain.

Revenge is sweet. I looked at Lee to find him on the floor. His ears were bleeding and he was getting kicked in the stomach.

As much as it hurts, I made handsigns. "Water Style: Water bullets."

I shot out water bullets and they hit the unsuspecting sound Genin. I ran towards him but I felt myself being kicked from the back.

I fell to the floor and gasped when I felt a leg hit my gut. I tried to get away but I fell back to the floor when my legs gave out.

I felt tears spring out of my eyes when Zaku kicked my nose. There was a sickening crack. Am I going to die? No, I can't. Not when I just escaped with my life from Orochimaru.

I felt determination surge through my body and I got up and stabbed Zaku in the shoulder with my kunai. I limped to the back and kicked him in the face.

I sighed in relief as he fell to the ground. I heard Lee's cries of pain and I looked at him.

I pulled out three kunai and threw them at the leader. He dodged them and came running at me. I dodged his punch and kicked his leg.

He knelt down but punched me in my stomach with his gauntlet. My eyes widened as I crashed into a tree.

I winced in pain as I took a deep breath. I must have broken a few ribs. I need to do something.

The Genin cane towards me with a smirk. Kin and Zaku were awake and Lee was lying unconscious on the dirt.

Suddenly, Sasuke came running. He was surrounded by a purple chakra which gave off a poisonous aura. His whole body was covered in black tattoos.

"Finally, the Uchiha has awoken." Zaku said with a smirk. He was wiping blood from his mouth.

Sasuke looked at me. "Who did this to you?" He asked me with such intensity that made me flinch.

Before I could say anything, Zaku interrupted by saying, "I did most of the damage. But then again, she did put up a good fight."

Sasuke growled in response. He suddenly ran towards the Sound Genin so fast that I had to blink twice in order to see what was going on.

I tried to stand up but I yelped in surprise when someone wrapped their hands around my body. I was about to pull a kunai but that somebody spoke.

"Are you trying to kill me for helping you? What a troublesome women." A familiar voice said. I chuckled in relief.

"Shika, Long time no see." I said as he dragged me to the cave. Ino and Choji were also inside. Ino was laying a towel on a sweating Naruto before turning towards me. "Oh my, Shizukana." She gasped before running towards me.

"What happened to you?" She questioned with worry. I just chuckled which I regretted since my chest started to ache. "Don't worry. You should see the other guy." I said trying to lighten the mood.

"You're badly injured and you still can joke. What is wrong with you?" Shikamaru asked me.

I just waved him off. I took my right hand and laid it gently on my left hand. I remembered what Kakashi Sensei said as he explained the concepts of medical Jutsu.

First, concentrate on tapping into your spiritual chakra. Yin chakra speeds up the healing. Gather the chakra on your right hand.

Place that hand in your injury and concentrate in fixing the crack.

I heard Sensei's calm voice echoe in my head.

My right hand palm glowed green and I felt the pain ease on my broken fingers. I heard gasps from everyone in the cave, except Naruto.

I brought my hand to heal my ribs which were becoming troublesome by the second.

I felt dizzy but I stood up anyway, ignoring the protests from the others. I turned towards Sasuke's battle to find him about to the kill them.

I rushed towards him. He had a crazed look on his face. The one you'd see on a lunatic. "Sasuke. Please stop." I said placing my hand on his shoulders.

He was about to pull of Zaku's arms off. He paused when he heard my voice. He looked at me and released his grip on Zaku's arms.

The three sound Genin backed away. The leader threw their scroll towards us. "We are sorry. Here is our earth scroll. Please spare us." He said before vanishing into the woods.

The purple markings on his body vanished as he deactivated his Sharingan.

I stumbled to the back when the surroundings started to spin. Chakra Exhaustion.

My vision faded as I felt myself falling. But someone caught me. The last thing I saw was onyx colured eyes staring at me.
