Louisa watched Connor and Murphy loading their guns while Rocco checked his gun and she gently rubbed Murphy's back. She knew they had to finish their mission, but she didn't like the idea of them going into battle injured.

"Now, remember t'lock th'door after we leave," Connor said as he stood and he placed the gun in the holster.

"I will," she assured him. Murphy walked to her as he placed the gun in the holster and she saw the worry in his eyes. "I love you."

"I know," Murphy said and he leaned in to kiss her lips.

"Hey, if my mom shows up, tell her you're my girlfriend," Rocco said with a grin and she smiled.

"Got it," she said.

None of them heard the back door open while someone softly walked into the kitchen and whoever it was stood against the wall. Hard, blue eyes watched them head for the front door as Murphy held Louisa and she brushed her finger over the mole on his cheek. He gave her a hug then Murphy went outside and she hugged Rocco and Connor. After they left, Louisa locked the door then she headed for the kitchen, but she didn't notice someone was moving up behind her. She felt a cold chill move through her as she stood in front of the backdoor then she slowly turned around. She looked into hard, but familiar blue eyes as Il Duce looked at her then he glanced with his eyes at the door. She noticed he was having a silent conversation with himself when he sighed and he stood a little straighter.

"I will only say this once, lass. You're comin' with me. If you scream or try t'run, I will kill you," he said. Nodding, Louisa walked to him and he gave her a blank look. "You love him that much?"

"Yes, I do," she said then they headed for the back door.

The Yakavetta Estate

The car pulled up to the wall near the front gate as Il Duce cut the engine then he glanced into the rear view mirror.

"Stay here," he said then he got out of the car. She watched him head for the front gate, which she now realized was open, then he went by the gate. She ducked down behind the backseat as she closed her eyes and she sent out a prayer for the safety of Connor, Murphy and Rocco.

She must have dozed off because the sound of the car door opening and soft voices made her open her eyes. She watched Il Duce sliding Murphy across the backseat then he closed the door and Murphy was breathing hard and fast. She could just see the pain on Murphy's face as he squeezed his eyes shut then she bumped into the back of the driver's seat after the car suddenly moved.

"Hang in there, Murphy," Connor said as he looked back at his twin and Murphy moaned. Connor looked down when he barely saw Louisa looking up at him and he looked at Il Duce.

"She agreed t'come with me," Il Duce said in a soft voice,

"Where are we going?" Louisa asked.

"Somewhere safe."

"We need t'take him to th'hospital," Connor said.

"No. I know how t'fix his hand."

Murphy fought through the pain after he thought he had heard Louisa's voice and he turned his head to look at her. She lightly stroked his cheek as Murphy blinked his eyes a few times and she lightly kissed his lips. Suddenly, she realized someone was missing as she looked at Connor.

"Where's Rocco?" she asked.

"He's… He's dead," Murphy said in a soft voice.

"What do you mean he's dead?!"

Louisa knelt on her knees so she could look over the top of the front seats while Il Duce looked at her from the rear view mirror and he saw the fury in her eyes.

"He wasn't th'one who killed Rocco," Connor said. He explained what happened as she felt her stomach sinking and he reached over to take her hand. She wrapped their fingers together then she squeezed his hand and Connor gave her a sad smile.

"Sit down before you make me regret bringin' you with me," Il Duce said.

"What do you mean by that?!" Murphy demanded as he tried to sit up, but he became dizzy and Louisa helped him to lie back down. He was breathing in short gasps then he closed his eyes and she carded the top of his head.

"Murphy!" Connor called out.

"He's fine. Must've passed out from th'pain," Il Duce said as he strummed his fingers on the steering wheel and the car headed down the street.

The motel room was dark while Il Duce a.k.a. Noah MacManus sat on the couch as he looked at the twins lying on the beds and Louisa was lying next to Murphy. His mind replayed how brave Murphy was as he bit into the cloth in his mouth while Noah fixed Murphy's injured hand and Connor and Louisa held onto Murphy. With his hand splinted, Murphy gladly took the pain killers, but he hadn't fallen to sleep and Noah felt his eyes on him.

"Why didn't you kill her?" Murphy suddenly asked. Noah could just see Louisa's head resting on Murphy's right shoulder and her right hand rested on his stomach.

"That is a good question," Noah said.

"What's th'answer?"

"I guess it's because she means a lot t'you."

"Aye, she does."

"An' you're willin' t'die so she'd be safe."

"Aye."

They went silent as Connor's snoring filled the air and Murphy waited for Noah to speak.

"You're jus' like me," Noah said.

"I am nothin' like you."

"You're wrong. From th'day I held you…"

"Stop. Connor may buy th'idea of you bein' our da, but I don't."

"Why not. I knew th'family prayer."

"That doesn't mean shit," Murphy said with a growl and Louisa snuggled closer. They were silent for a few seconds when he looked at Noah and Murphy slowly blinked his eyes. "I remember climbin' onto th'back of th'couch an' lookin' out th'window fer you. Every. Fukin'. Day. Finally, Ma told me th'truth. That you were never comin' home. Do you have any idea how that made me feel?! How it made Connor feel?! We thought we had done summat t'make you leave! That if was our fault!"

Connor snorted awake from the intense feelings coming from his twin as he slowly sat up and he placed his wrists on his knees.

"What's wrong?" Connor asked.

"We're jus' talkin'," Noah said.

"About what?"

"About how you're so convinced that he's our da," Murphy said with a growl in his voice.

"He is."

"How can you know?"

"I jus' do."

"Then it's alright that he tried t'kill us?! That he maimed Rocco?!"

The room became quiet at the mention of Rocco's name and Connor sighed.

"No, it's not alright," Connor said.

"He also thinks I'm jus' like him."

"You do?" Connor asked, looking at Noah.

"As I was tellin' him, since th'day I held both of you in my arms, I knew you…," Noah said, pointing at Connor. "You had your mother's spirit. Her courage. Her wicked sense of humor. But him…"

Murphy glared at him as Noah sighed and Murphy absentmindedly moved his fingers up and down Louisa's arm. She smiled, but didn't wake up and her right hand moved up to his chest.

"I see a lot of me in him."

"In what way?"

"There is this smolderin' fire inside him."

"It's true he does have a temper, but that's only when he's upset about summat. Most of th'time, he's th'life of th'party."

"Then there's her," Noah said and Connor felt a sense of rage, protectiveness and fear coming from Murphy. "She reminds me of Annabelle. Your ma. I never thought I would find someone like her. She accepted me for who an' what I am. She turned a blind eye t'what I did. She loved me. Th'day she told me she was gonna have my child, I wanted t'give it all up. But th'callin' was too great. Then things went t'shit an' I was forced t'leave you."

Murphy looked at Louisa as he thought about what Noah had said and he realized he was willing to do the same thing for her.

"She doesn't want t'leave me," Murphy said, softly.

"But you are gonna have t'leave her. Are you willin' t'do that?"

"If I have to," he said with a nod. The room became silent as they sat in the dark and Murphy wrapped his arms around Louisa.

Three months passed while they waited to hear about what was to be done with "Papa Joe" Yakavetta and Noah watched Louisa take care of Murphy. Murphy's hand made a full recovery and Noah began to wonder if Murphy was going to complete the mission.

The night before "Papa Joe" Yakavetta's third trial, Noah walked to the bed where Louisa and Murphy were sleeping and Noah gently shook her right shoulder. Louisa woke as she sat up on her elbow and Noah knelt down by the side of the bed,

"What's wrong?" she whispered and Noah looked at Murphy.

"Has he told you we're gonna have t'leave th'country after we go to th'courthouse?"

"Yeah, he has."

"Are you willin' t'let him go?"

"If I have to," she said and he heard the sadness in her voice. "Isn't there a way for me to go with you?"

"If you do go with us, it means you will never see your family again."

"Well, I know my mother might have a fit, but my dad always wanted me and my brother…"

"Connor told me about him. He was your twin?"

"Yeah, he was," she said with a sigh. "Anyway, Dad wanted us to have our freedom. To live our lives the way we wanted and the hell with the rules. Norman took that freedom to a point. Me? I liked living on the edge. Maybe that's why I ended up losing my sight."

"You what!?"

Louisa told him about Dillon as Noah sighed and he placed his right hand on her left shoulder. She could just see how much he cared for not only Murphy and Connor, but her and she placed her hand on top of his. Noah stood as he started pacing then he looked at her.

"I have an idea fer how you can go with us, but he's not gonna be happy when he wakes up," he said, pointing to Murphy. She looked at Murphy then she frowned and she wondered what Noah had in mind.

The car pulled up to the door to the motel as FBI Agent Paul Smecker got out of the car and he looked around to see if anyone was watching him. He cautiously walked to the door when he heard what sounded like a scuffle and he frowned.

"I am gonna fuckin' kill him!" Murphy's voice said from behind the door.

"Calm down!" Connor's voice said. Sighing, Smecker did the secret knock as he waited then he heard the sound of the locks being pulled back. The door opened slightly when Noah looked out at him and Smecker gave him a blank look.

"Ready to go?" Smecker asked.

"Aye," Noah said, closing the door. Smecker walked back to the car as he got in and he watched the door open. Noah led Connor and Murphy outside and Smecker saw the angry look on Murphy's face. They got in the car as Smecker started the engine and the car left the parking lot.

After helping the twins and Noah escape the courthouse after they had killed Yakavetta, Smecker stood by the crates as he watched the crate containing Noah, Murphy and Connor being placed onboard the cargo ship. When the crate was placed on the deck, he turned as he walked away and he smiled.

A small red light lit up the inside of the crate while Noah looked at Murphy and Connor and Murphy had his eyes closed. He hadn't said a word since they entered the crate and Connor felt the sadness, anger and frustration coming from him.

"She's alright," Connor whispered, but Murphy didn't answer.

"Leave him be," Noah said.

"Shut it."

"What did you say!?"

"You heard me," he said then Connor paused. "What did you do? Take her out t'some ditch an' put a bullet in her head?"

Noah didn't answer when the sound of the crate being open made Connor stand up and he looked around for something to use as a weapon.

"Calm down," Noah said as he stood then he walked to the front of the crate. Light filled the crate while Connor walked to Noah and they stepped out of the crate. Connor looked at the tall man with white hair and beard and the man's skin has a leathery look to it. He wore a black knit cap, a black sweater, black pants, a black leather belt, black, steel toed boots and a black Navy peacoat. "Michael."

"Il Duce," Captain Michael Cromms said with a nod. He looked at Connor as he frowned and he scratched his chin. "I thought there was supposed to be three of you."

"Murphy!" Connor called out. Michael looked at the sailor standing next to him as he nodded his head and the sailor walked to the crate. Connor scanned the sailor with his eyes when he noticed the boots the sailor was wearing and he pressed his lips into a thin line.

Murphy had his wrists on his knees as he prayed and he silently pleaded for one more chance to see Louisa. To feel her fingers moving through his hair. To feel her lips on his. To hear her voice. He hadn't heard the sailor walking to him as the sailor knelt down next to him then the sailor removed the black knit hat and the black sunglasses.

"Murphy," Louisa whispered as she moved closer and her fingers lightly moved through his hair. His eyes snapped open as he turned his head and she sweetly smiled at him. His heart was beating so hard his chest hurt and his hands started shaking. He could just see her and she was wearing a black sweater, a black leather belt, black pants and her black ankle boots and she was wearing the black Navy peacoat she wore for Halloween. Her hair was cut almost as short as his and he reached a shaky hand up to touch it.

"Lou?" he asked with a crack to his voice. She moved closer to kiss his lips and he held the back of her head in his right hand.

"Lord, I have gone insane," he thought as he moved back and he locked eyes with her. He felt her love moving over him as he pulled her onto his lap after he lowered his legs and she placed her head against his right shoulder.

"Are you really here?" he whispered.

"Yeah," she said, moving her finger along his jawline and he shivered.

"Murphy, get your ass out here," Noah called out and they looked at each other. Louisa helped Murphy to his feet as Murphy held onto her and he felt dizzy. She gave him a concern look as he shook his head and they walked out of the crate. Connor gave her a pleased look as she smiled and he looked at Noah. "Is he alright, lass?"

"I think so," Louisa said.

"Take them below," Michael said.

"Yes, Captain."

Noah and Connor followed her as Louisa led them down to the sleeping quarters and she pointed to the third door on their left. Noah opened the door as they walked in the room and Louisa led Murphy to the bottom bunk to their right. She helped Murphy sit down as she sat down next to his left side and he leaned over to place his head on her lap. She carded his hair as he sighed and Connor looked from her to Noah.

"Will one of you please explain what's goin' on?" Connor asked as he sat down on the bottom bunk to their left.

"She asked me t'take her with us an' I agreed," Noah said.

"But you made us think you did summat t'her after we woke up an' she wasn't there! Murphy wanted t'kill you!"

"You did?" she asked. Nodding, Murphy rolled onto his right side so he was facing her and he closed his eyes.

"Why didn't you tell us th'truth?!" Connor asked.

"I didn't tell you because I knew he would've wanted t'come here instead of th'courthouse," Noah said.

"Christ!" Connor said, lifting his hands in the air.

"Lord's name." Murphy mumbled and Louisa made soft hushing sounds while she rubbed his right shoulder.

"What about her career?"

"I still have it," Louisa said. Connor walked over to kneel down next to the bunk and he placed his left hand on her right knee. "After we talked, he called a cab and I went back to my apartment. I was surprised to find the door to your apartment had police tape over it and the door was wide open."

"We don't have anythin' t'steal," Murphy grumbled and she smiled down at him.

"Yeah, but imagine my surprise when I saw the coat that I wore for Halloween was on one of the pegs."

"Knew it would come in handy."

"I took the coat then I went to my place. I remembered you making me put a spare key over the door and I went inside."

"Sorry about the burst pipes," Connor said and she smiled at him.

"The damage wasn't that bad. Anyway, I packed a few things then I went to bed."

"I told her th'name of this boat an' she was t'ask for Captain Cromms."

"What if he wouldn't let her onboard?" Connor asked.

"I gave her a note tellin' him who she was an' why she was goin' with us," Noah said.

"How do you know him?"

"Who do you think brought me here?"

Connor nodded when he looked at Louisa and she felt Murphy's body relaxing.

"The next morning, I went to get my hair cut then I went to the dock. It took me a few tries, but I finally found this boat and I showed Captain Cromms the note. He agreed to let me go onboard and he gave me this cabin," Louisa said.

"What about your parents? They're gonna have a fit," Connor said.

"I called Dad and I told him what happened. Imagine my surprise when he gave me his blessing. I don't care what my mother thinks."

"Shit," Connor whispered. He stood up as he walked to Noah and Noah gave him a blank look. "You still should've told us."

"Aye, I should've," Noah said with a nod.

"So, what do we do now?"

"Let's go to th'galley an' get summat t'eat."

"Aren't we supposed t'stay hidden?"

"No."

"You wanna go with us, Lou?"

"No, I ate already," Louisa said. She watched them leave the room while Noah closed the door and she looked down at Murphy. She watched him sleeping when he mumbled her name and she hushed him. He wiggling a little to get comfortable, but he didn't wake and she sweetly smiled at him.

The room was dark while Murphy opened his eyes and he rolled onto his back. He felt the ship gently rocking as he rubbed his face with his hands and he sighed. He carefully got off the lower bunk when he walked across the room to the bunks on the other side of the room and he reached up to touch the mattress of the upper bunk.

"Lou," he whispered. He found her right hand as he gently pulled on her hand and she snorted awake. "Lou, you awake?"

"I am now. What's wrong?" she whispered.

"I fergot t'kiss you goodnight."

She softly laughed as he placed his foot on the mattress of the lower bunk and he pulled himself up.

"Hey!" Connor whispered after Murphy stepped on him and Murphy looked down.

"Sorry," Murphy whispered.

"What are you doin'?"

"I'm kissin' Lou goodnight."

"Well, be more careful next time."

Connor rolled onto his right side as he sighed and he closed his eyes. Murphy felt Louisa touch his face as he moved closer and their lips touched. He moved back as he hopped down then he walked back to the bunk. He got back under the blankets as he rolled onto his left side and he closed his eyes.

The room became quiet when the sound of Connor's snoring filled the darkness and Murphy moaned. Sighing, Louisa moved the blankets back as she carefully got off the bunk, reached out and she gently moved Connor's head until he sighed and she patted the top of his head. She carefully got back onto the bunk as she moved the covers back and she laid on her back.

"Connor?" Murphy whispered.

"He's alright," Louisa whispered.

"Why isn't he snorin'?"

"I did what I used to do when Norman started snoring. I moved his head to clear his airway."

"That works?"

"Yeah," she whispered and Murphy softly laughed.

"Less talk. More sleep," Noah grumbled.

"Sorry, Noah."

"Da."

She felt a jolt move through her then she smiled and she closed her eyes.

"Night, Da," she said.

"Night, Da," Murphy said. Noah laid in the darkness when a smile moved across his face and he slowly closed his eyes.
