Shizukana's P.O.V.
A week has passed since Kakashi Sensei and Sasuke's recovery and they refused to stay hospitalized. So here we are, doing D rank missions.
Lady Tsunade was appointed as Hokage and everyone went back to their daily lives. But there was this feeling hanging around in the air. Many people try to ignore it but they know its there.
Just like the old times, we went on missions, mainly D-rank, and trained. Naruto being goofy as usual and Sasuke being the emo he is. Sensei kept his nose buried in his little book. This was what I missed.
"Okay team. That's it for today." Sensei said giving us a thumbs up. We had just finished two D-rank missions. The first one was weeding an entire field. We were careful not to rip the important plants out, but that made it even harder. Naruto screwed it. The second one was painting the walls of the Daiymo's grand house. The walls were 8 feet tall and they covered over 2 acres of land. Surprisingly we weren't covered in paint. Maybe just a few drops here and there. Naruto didn't mess this up. Well, considering his experience with paint.
"Finally. That was very boring." Naruto said. He was jumpy as usual but you could see the boredom on his face.
Sensei just gave us a smile before puffing away. I sighed before facing Naruto. He seemed to be coming up with a plan.
"I'm leaving," Sasuke said walking away.
"Hey, I know what we can do." But Sasuke just ignored him. "Ever wonder what's under Sensei's mask?" As soon as he said that, Sasuke stumbled in his step. I looked at Naruto with curiosity. Is this what he thinks all day?
Sasuke just looked at Naruto's direction but then turned away. This caused Naruto to smirk.
"What if he has huge buck teeth?" Naruto said wiggling his eyebrows. I watched in amusement as Sasuke's walls crumbled piece by piece. "Maybe, he has blimp lips?" Naruto said as I imagined Sensei with huge lips.
I covered my mouth as I laughed. Sasuke stopped walking. Just one more Naruto. You're so close to cracking him.
"I know, he must have so small lips that he has to cover them," Naruto whispered towards Sasuke.
And he broke. Sasuke snapped his neck towards Naruto then looked at me. I just gave him a cheeky smile. He sighed in defeat. "And how are you planning on doing that?" Sasuke asked and Naruto struck a weird pose.
"Just leave it to me." He said. He started walking and Sasuke and I followed him.
Timeskip...
So this was his plan. We are currently at Ichiraku Ramen store. We took seats and watched as Sensei took a seat.
Naruto sat on the right side of Sensei and Sasuke next to Naruto while I sat in the left side of Sensei. Kakashi Sensei gave us suspicious looks and eyed his bowl of ramen.
"So, why treat me to ramen?" Sensei asked. He looked around in suspicion.
"Oh. Well, we just thought that we would do this as a thank you." Naruto said. Sensei nodded but then looked at me and Sasuke. Both of us smiled sweetly.
Naruto and Sasuke started eating their ramen so they won't make Sebsei more suspicious. Sensei looked at me and noticed that I wasn't having anything.
"Shizukana, aren't you gonna eat anything?" He asked me.
I looked at him and shook my head. "No, I have this pet peeve about eating main courses at restaurants," I explained. Sensei hummed before reaching for a pair of chopsticks.
The three of us leaned in as Sensei touched his mask to pull it down but then my vision was blocked by Shikamaru.
"Here you are." He said smiling. I widened my eyes. I heard Naruto and Sasuke's yells. Choji and Ino?
"Move," I said to Shika and when he moved his head, it was too late. Sensei set his bowl down. I looked at his face to find it covered by his mask. Did he inhale his food?
"Ah. That was delicious. Thank my sweet Genin. Sensei said looking at all of us. "I will have to take my leave now. See you." He said before walking out.
Before any of us could say anything, he left. Sasuke and Naruto looked at. I looked at the store owner and his daughter to find them staring at Sensei's seat with dreamy eyes.
"Now I'm curious," Naruto said. I nodded and just smiled at Team 10 who was watching us with confusion.
Timeskip...
Currently, Naruto, Sasuke and I were hiding behind a huge sign. We were stalking Sensei. I mean, there might be moments when he takes the mask off. Right?
We watched as Sensei carried some bags of grocery. He paused and looked at us. We ducked and hid behind the sign.
I heard the sound of the bags falling and then there was a loud gasp. I peeked to find Sensei staring at the board. He mumbled something in excitement before grabbing his bags and running away.
The three of us jumped down and looked at the board. I sweatdropped. Sensei's R-rated book was made into a movie. I looked at Sasuke and Naruto who was just staring at the board.
"Why don't we split up?" I said. Naruto and Sasuke looked at me. "That way, we can try our methods and try to sneak a peak."
The two of them nodded. "Alright. I'll go first." Naruto said with determination. "I'll meet you both at that tea shop over there." He said pointing to a small store in the corner of the street.
Sasuke and I walked to the tea shop and ordered two cups of tea. We drank in silence.
An hour passed and there was no sign of Naruto. I pulled out a scroll from my pouch and started reading. It was about the uses of fire style and when to exactly use them.
I heard Sasuke move from behind me and he came closer. I felt his head peak through my shoulder. Both of us read until Naruto arrived.
I looked up when I heard footsteps coming towards us. It was Naruto and he was pouting. "I couldn't do it." He said dejectedly.
Sasuke stood up and brushed his pants. "I'll do it." He said. I looked at him and nodded. He disappeared and I looked at Naruto. He was still pouting.
"Cheer up Naruto, it's Kakashi Sensei. It wasn't going to be a walk in the park." I said patting the bench next to me. He came and sat next to me. Unlike Sasuke, he indulged me in a very interesting conversation about the types of Ramen he's never had.
And that's what we did for basically 2 hours. Talk about ramen. Even though it sounded like a very boring topic, Naruto made it quite interesting to listen to.
I sensed a presence on the tree above us. I looked up to find Sasuke glaring at the floor. He seemed angry about something.
"What happened?" I asked. He looked at me and that's all I needed to know what happened.
"I lost him," Sasuke said while jumping down. He came and sat in between Naruto and I and continued to glare at the ground.
I left out a heavy sigh. "Alright. I suppose it's my turn." I said as I handed the scroll to Sasuke. "I'll try and be back in an hour at most," I said before waving and teleporting to the middle of Konoha. I roamed around trying to find Kakashi Sensei.
I walked for around 30 minutes when I felt someone watching me. I continued walking until I stopped in a heavily crowded area. Whoever is following me, can't possibly attack me when I'm surrounded by civilians. I scanned my surrounding to see if anyone was suspicious. But there wasn't anyone except for that shady guy leaning against a tree.
He wore a black travelling cloak with a straw hat. He had his head bent down so I couldn't see his face. That's not suspicious at all. I continued to stare at him until I felt a hand o my shoulder. I turned around immediately to find Kakashi Sensei looking at me.
"Shizukana. Are you alright?" He asked me. Instead of answering, I looked back to where the guy was but there was no one there. I looked at back at Sensei who was looking at the tree.
"Sensei. Oh, I'm alright." I said. I remembered my task. "Where are you headed?" I asked him. He looked at me and scratched his cheek.
"I was just roaming around. Why don't we have some tea?" Sensei said making me look at him. Why would he want to have- I can take a look at him without his mask.
"Sure," I said and I followed Sensei until he leads me to a Dango shop. We walked in and took a seat on one of the tables. The place was fairly crowded and the smell of Dango and tea were surrounding the place.
"I heard about your little stunt with Itachi." He said making me wince. He was giving me a stern look. "Care to explain?"
"Well, one thing led to another and Sasuke found out about Itachi so I rushed to Naruto. I couldn't do much but I did but sometimes." I vaguely said. He didn't seem satisfied. "I didn't get hurt. I just used up some chakra but I'm fine." I said waving my hands.
He was about to say something but was interrupted when the waitress came to our table. "What can I get you?" She asked smiling at the two of us.
"Two sticks of Dango and a cup of tea for me," Sensei said. She nodded then looked at me.
"The same," I said. She left and I quickly changed the subject. Didn't want Sensei to get angry. "Lady Tsunade is getting along well with her Hokage duties," I said. Sensei looked at me for a while before nodding.
"With Lady Shizune next to her, they are fitting in," Sensei said agreeing to my previous statement. Right after he said that the waitress came back with two plates and two cups of tea. She laid them on the table and left.
I watched Sensei carefully. He won't easily remove the mask. He'll wait till I'm not looking and then start eating. I took the teacup and brought it close to my mouth. I took a sip and looked at Sensei.
He took a Dango stick and casually removed his mask. I choked on my tea. Behind the mask was a strong jawline with sharp cheekbones. A scar ran down from Sensei's left eye to his left cheek and finished right about his lip. There was a small beauty mark on his chin. Overall Sensei was hot. What is wrong with you? He's your Sensei.
I quickly averted my eyes and felt myself blush. He just removed his mask with no worry. I glued my eyes onto my plate and quietly ate my Dango. But I still knew that my face was similar to a tomato.
Third Person's P.O.V.
Shizukana kept quiet as she ate her Dango. She didn't know that Kakashi was watching her with amusement. His plan all along was to tease you and it worked.
"So how is training?" Kakashi asked as he wiped his mouth with a napkin and put his mask back on. Shizukana looked at Kakashi and let out a squeak.
Kakashi found it hard to keep his laughter in. I have never seen Shizukana so flustered. Shizukana coughed several times and shook her head before looking at Kakashi. She was calming down and was taking deep breathes.
"Training is going fine," Shizukana replied. She cleared her throat and finished her tea. "I haven't done any serious training yet, but I'm planning to get back into that."
"You have to take it easy," Kakashi said. He looked at Shizukana who was staring at him. "With all this going on, pushing yourself to the limit isn't safe."
"I know," Shizukana muttered. For Shizukana, it was hard to keep eye contact with Kakashi so she tried to look away but found herself staring at Kakakshi No one spoke after that. Not for a while. Both Shinobi was in deep thinking.
"Alright. This was fun but I have to get going." Shizukana said. She reached into her pouch and grabbed her wallet.
"What are you doing?" Kakashi said. Shizukana looked at him. "It's my treat. Go on. Sasuke and Naruto are waiting for you." Kakashi said making Shizukana's eyes widen.
She nodded. "Thank you Sensei." She said before walking away. Kakashi watched as Shizukana walked away and let out a loud chuckle.
Shizukana's P.O.V.
I walked out of the shop and as soon as I was a few meters away from the shop, I teleported to Naruto and Sasuke. Naruto was folding a piece of paper while Sasuke was reading my scroll.
They looked at me and I shrugged. No way in hell is I explaining Sensei's face. Sasuke looked at me in suspicion. I felt my face heat up and his eyes widened. Naruto just kept looking back and forth from my face to Sasuke's.
"She's seen it," Sasuke said standing up. Naruto gasped. He also stood up and both of them came close.
"What's it like?" Naruto asked leaning closer to my face. Sasuke peered over his shoulder. I backed away.
"I'm not gonna explain it. It's nothing special." I said. But they weren't satisfied.
"You're blushing. You don't blush. So obviously its something special." Sasuke said making Naruto nod. They kept on badgering me.
"I'll see you guys later," I said as I teleported away from them and into my house.
