Well it has definitely been some time. I have no excuse but writers block but I have gotten some inspiration to write and let's see where that takes me.

I do not own pokemon (unfortunately)

Ash's log: 29

Me and Raichu have been practicing our new abilities and it's going great. I can now summon this blue fire at will and same with Raichu's new move which I have decided to call "iron tail." Chansey haven't had much progress but she is still practicing with the moves she got. Our food supply is running low so we are now going to go out to search for something to eat.

Ash POV

It truly was a lot more water on this floor. Puddles, lakes and underwater tunnels could be found everywhere. I had so far also seen quite a few water type pokemon and from my personal observations they are less aggressive but I assume it's because they are waiting for me or my team to get closer to the water.

Raichu was as usual the one in front since he had great senses and was quick to react to danger. Me and Chansey walked next to each other behind him.

As I looked around I heard a splashing noice. Like the sound of someone walking in a puddle. Then ahead of me I saw a psyduck walk by without a care in the world and I could only think, 'It looks like it will taste good.'

Right after that I though, 'Since when can I think about killing so easily, wasn't killing supposed to be a last resort?'

I had no time to question my newly discovered lack of morality as the water type now has noticed us. It held the trademark empty psyduck state but there was something menacing behind it, I decided not to hesitate.

"Raichu, thunder!" I scream out and Raichu followed without question. Since the attack was super effective, Raichu held absolutely nothing back, the opponent was (compared to the average cavern pokemon) weak and Raichu have grown surprisingly strong during his time here the psyduck died instantly.

Ash's log 30

Two things I have learned since the last log.

1: Psyduck taste amazing.

2: There is something following us and observing us from a distance. I have no true evidence but ever since I unlocked these blue flames I have been able to feel things like a 6ths sense. I know something is observing us but first I will take the time to learn how to focus this new ability.

Third person POV

And as the log said Ash had started training his sensing ability. He started with focusing on the feeling he got when he sensed something but no matter how hard he tried the feeling just escaped his grasp.

He then decided to go a different path and tried channeling the blue flame inside his body, this got an interesting reaction. When he channeled it in his arm the arm felt warm and much lighter but what was really interesting was his sense of touch, it was extremely sensitive and when he touched the caver floor he could easily understand the texture of the ground. He also felt what he assumed to be vibrations and that theory was proven when the vibrations increased especially much while Raichu and Chansey were walking around.

It was then on to the other body parts, of course the first thing he tried was channeling the power into his remaining eye and if the power in his hand was special and this was extraordinary. His sight has basically become black, white and blue. Black and white was the majority of what he saw but the blue was what was special. The moss growing on the walls, his two companions, his own arm, some pokemon that were trying to hide in a nearby water hole. Those were all shining blue and it did not take Ash much time to figure out that the blue objects were living things.

Ash then remembered why he started this exercise in the first place and started looking around and sure enough he found something that was spying on them. It was small, had thin arms and legs, a sharp face, tail, and it was sitting in a hunched position.

Ash then pointed in the pokemons direction ordered, "Raichu, there is a pokemon hiding there, tell it we know it is there and that I want to know it's intentions."

Raichu looked at me a little weird but shrugged his shoulders and decided to just do it. After shouting out what Ash could assume was a translation of what he told Raichu Ash looked and saw that the pokemon had only flinched but then calmed down. It likely assumed we were bluffing.

Ash decided to not play games and shot a ball of blue flames close to the pokemons location. It worked as the pokemon stood up with its arms up in a sign of surrender.

Turning of his new vision Ash saw what he recognized to be an abra. A psychic type if he remembered correctly.

"Raichu, ask what it wants," Ash said to his partner. Ash assumed that the abra did not have any malicious intent because of the way it held itself so Ash would give it a chance to live.

Raichu started talking to it and it responded. After some thinking the electric type started trying to translate to Ash using body language and different tones of voice.

"So you are saying that it..." Raichu stopped him with an annoyed tail slap to the ground, "Excuse me, he was following us out of curiosity and were eating of our leftovers?"

Raichu nodded in response.

Ash was now thinking about this abra and trying to remember all he could about it. The pokemon could be of use. Ash suddenly got an idea and decided to bring it up with Raichu, "Ask him if he can teleport and if so how far, quick, precise and how many he can bring?"

Raichu seemingly understandings his partners question once again started talking to the psychic type who had during all of this sat down on the ground.

The response was that Abra could teleport a good distance especially if he was familiar with the area. He could with some effort take 2 other beings but if he tried really hard he could like take 3. And Abra apparently prided himself of his quick and precise teleportations.

That was when Ash had decided what he would offer Abra," Raichu, ask him if he wants to be our lifeline, he will get to eat fresh food with us in exchange he will teleport us away whenever we are in to much danger. Also he may get any questions about us answered."

It did not take much of Raichu talking for Abra to agree. Then Ash walked over to Abra and extended a hand towards him saying with a smile, "welcome to the team Abra," The pokemon was not used to this gesture but intelligent enough to understand that Ash wanted him to grab his hand and so he did. Abra was very confused when the new creature started shaking his hand but the fox like pokemon let it slide.

Walking back to a campfire fire the team had set up earlier he took a piece of the grilled psyduck they had been enjoying and threw it at Abra. The pokemon catching it with psychic energy, pulling it apart and eating it piece by piece while visibly enjoying it.

Watching the scene unfold Ash could only think to himself that he made a good decision.

Ash's log 33

Abra has finally started to truly be able to cooperate with the team. He has not had many situations where we had to escape but the situations where it happened he was a lifesaver. Him an Raichu have also come up with a technique where Abra teleports one opponent right in front of Raichu so that Raichu can get a clean hit in, really useful for ending a battle quickly. Other than that I think I will have to apologize to Misty once I return home since I have gained a taste water type pokemon. They are very tasty compared to other pokemon.

I put down the logbook with and looked up at my team. Chansey was sitting still while Abra kept teleporting around the cave they found themselves in. Why Abra was teleporting around is simple, he had eaten some of Raichu's berries and was now being chased throughout the cave room they found themselves in.

Using Ash's newfound ability to see life has made it much easier to find safe tunnels, detect ambushes and to navigate in general. Thanks to that and Abra's support it was now much easier to explore this cavern floor and unfortunately it was the same as the last one where there was only one way further down and no way seemingly up.

"Time to go, next camp we will set up will be no the next floor," Ash said to his companions who seemed to at least understand the message behind his words but not the exact translation.

They kept up the earlier position with Raichu in front with Ash and Chansey next to each other. This time though Abra was sitting on Ash's shoulders sleeping. The newest member of the team took any chance he could get to sleep just a few minutes extra but in return he could wake up and get to action whenever he was truly needed.

They came down to the entrance of the new floor and this time there was no pokemon standing in their way.

The team looked at each other and was met with determination in returns a they once again entered the unknown.

Pretty good place to end this chapter if I do say so myself. Once again I apologize for my late chapter.

So Abra has joined the team and that was the last part before the ending that I have actually planned. I have not planned for how other pokemon will join except for one and I have also not thought much of the rest of the cave. I have made a basic idea of the cave structure and how some of the pokemon fit in to the caves ecosystem but I do not have an idea how to write Ash and his team in a way to properly explore those places without getting to expositiony.

Also tried a purely first person perspective in the beginning, please tell me what perspectives you want more or less of.

If you have literally any question, criticisms, suggestions or comment in general then I will gladly read and reply.
