Morgan led Murphy, Connor, Romeo and Louisa down the hallway when they stopped at the elevator and Morgan pushed the call button. The doors opened as they walked in the elevator car and Morgan pushed the button. The door closed as the twins watched the numbers going down and Louisa felt Murphy slid his fingers around hers. A soft ping sounded as the doors opened and Morgan led them out of the elevator car. They walked down the hallway as their footsteps echoed behind them and Morgan stopped in front of a door. Training Room One was printed on the door as Morgan pushed the buttons on the keypad and the doors hissed open. They walked in the room while they watched people sparring and Connor noticed some of them were doing martial arts.
"You're doin' that wrong," Connor called out and two agents looked at him.
"No, we're not," one of the agents said.
"Aye, you are."
"Why don't you show 'em how it's done," Murphy said. Connor removed his black Navy peacoat, sunglasses, black leather gloves then his boots and he handed them to Murphy. He walked across the room to where the agents were and the agents scanned him with their eyes. He arched his eyebrows up when he bowed and they bowed back.
"This is gonna be good," Romeo said and they went to sit down on the bench. Murphy placed Connor's clothes and boots on the bench and Louisa sat next to Romeo.
Connor stood in defense position as he looked from one agent to the other and one of the agents smiled.
"Don't worry, Mate. We'll go easy on you," the agent said.
"Would you go easy on someone who's tryin' t'kill you?" Connor asked.
"Uh…. No," the other agent said.
"Then give me yer best shot."
"If you say so."
The agent thrusted his arm out, but Connor blocked him then Connor swung and he punched the agent in the stomach. Grunting, the agent swung again, but Connor dropped to one knee and he kicked out the agent's right leg. The agent fell to the mat as Connor stood then he moved out of the way as the other agent spun around to kick him.
They watched Connor sparring when Morgan stood up and he folded his arms in front of him.
"That will be enough," Morgan said. The agents nodded as they bowed to Connor and Connor bowed back. He was slightly winded and sweaty as one of the other agents handed Connor a clean towel and Connor smiled, nodding his head. Connor walked to the bench when he picked up his clothes and boots then he sat down next to Murphy.
"You smell like shit" Murphy said, moving away from him. Smirking, Connor went to hug his twin as Murphy kept moving to get away from him then he fell off the end of the bench. He glared up at Connor when Connor stood as he held his left hand out and Murphy took his hand. The agents were smiling while Connor helped Murphy to his feet then the agents stopped smiling from the glare Morgan was giving them.
"If you want, the shower room's over there," the agent said and Connor looked to where he was pointing.
"Thanks," Connor said as he picked up the clothes and boots then he walked to the shower room. He found some soap, a washcloth and another clean towel and he headed for the bench. After he got undressed, he headed for the shower and he turned the handle. He sighed as the warm water moved over him and he started washing himself.
"What are they doing over there?" Romeo asked, looking over at the agents to his left.
"They are just practicing some hand-to-hand," Morgan said. Romeo and Murphy looked at each other when they nodded, stood up and they walked to the agents.
"You think we could take them?" Romeo asked, looking at Murphy.
"Aye, I think we could," Murphy said.
"Uh….," one of the agents said.
"We don't want to hurt you, Sir," one agent said.
"Sir?!" Romeo said with a grin and Murphy made a hissing laugh. "How about I make it interesting for you?"
"Interesting?"
"I bet I can beat you with my hands tied behind my back," he said and Murphy lightly nudged him.
"Uh…."
"Are you chicken?" he asked with his eyes slightly bugging out.
"No."
"Then let's do this."
Romeo removed his leather jacket and the leather boots, placed the leather jacket and the leather boots on the floor then he placed his hands behind his back. One of agents used a cloth belt to tie Romeo's hands behind his back and Murphy smiled while he picked up Romeo's leather jacket and the leather boots. Romeo eyed the agents then he scanned the room when he nodded and the agents swung at him. Romeo ducked and dodged while Murphy cheered him on then Romeo ran to the wall, placed his feet on the wall, slid his arms through his legs and he hopped down. Swing his arms, he punched both agents as they hit the floor and the agents looked up at him.
"Bloody hell," one agent said as he got off the floor.
"You're good," the other agent said and Romeo helped her to her feet. He was panting, but smiling and the agent untied his wrists.
"Where was the shower room again?" Romeo asked and she pointed. After Murphy handed him his leather jacket and the leather boots, Romeo saw Connor standing in the doorway to the shower room as Connor smiled at him and Romeo walked closer. "Did you leave me any hot water?"
"Aye," Connor said, patting Romeo's back and Romeo walked in the room. Connor walked to Murphy when he looked at the agents then he looked at Murphy. "You gonna have a turn?"
"I was thinkin' about it, but I changed my mind," Murphy said.
"He's scared," Connor said to the agents and they laughed.
"No, I'm not."
"Aye, you are."
Murphy growled when he pushed Connor and Connor pushed him back. They locked eyes while Murphy removed his black Navy peacoat, sunglasses, black leather gloves then his boots
Connor ducked after Murphy swung at him, came back up then he pushed his twin toward one of the agents. The agent went to catch Murphy as Murphy spun around and he swung at the agent. The agent grunted from the impact as Murphy swung again, but the agent ducked and Murphy jumped up when the agent tried to kick his legs out from under him. Snorting a breath of air, Murphy spun around as he kicked the agent in the chest and the agent fell to the mat. Another agent jumped on Murphy's back as Murphy grunted, reached back then he flipped the agent up and over him and the agent grunted when he landed on the mat. Louisa saw the look on Murphy's face as he panted and he scrunched his nose up. She and Connor knew Murphy could get really aggressive in a fight and she looked at Connor.
"Uh, Connor, I think you need to stop him," Louisa said.
"Aye," Connor said when he walked to his twin then he held his hands up in surrender. "Ok, Murphy. You proved yer point. Calm down."
"Assholes," Murphy said when he picked up his black Navy peacoat, sunglasses, black leather gloves then his boots and he stormed off toward the shower room while the agents looked at each other.
"Damn," one of the agents said and he flopped down onto his back.
The door hissed open while Morgan led Connor, Murphy, Louisa and Romeo out of the elevator car and they walked down the hallway. They stopped in front of the door when Murphy saw Gun Range painted on the door and he looked at Louisa. She looked at the door while Morgan pushed the buttons on the keypad and the door hissed open. She could just hear the gunfire as she shivered and Murphy slid his arms around her.
"She can't go in there," Murphy said.
"She cannot stay out here," Morgan said. Connor looked in the room when he saw a pair of soundproof earphones sitting on a table and he quickly walked in the room. He picked up the soundproof earphones as he ran out of the room then he gently placed the soundproof earphones over Louisa's ears. She gave him a smile as they walked in the room and she held onto Murphy's right hand.
"Attention," Morgan said as the agents looked at him and they placed the guns and rifles on the tables in front of them. "I need someone to give these men a refresher course on how to use a gun."
"They had guns back when these guys were our age?" one of the agents asked and the other agents tried not to smile or laugh.
"Aye, they did, but we used rocks instead of bullets," Connor said.
"An' we used t'move our cars with our feet," Murphy said.
The agents looked at each other while Romeo, Connor and Murphy laughed and Louisa lowered the soundproof earphones. Murphy told her what the agents said and she softly giggled.
"May we continue?" Morgan asked.
"Yes, Sir," one of the agents said while she walked to them and she stood in front of Romeo. "When was the last time you used a gun?"
"It's been about eleven years," Connor said.
"Do you know how to turn the safety off?"
Connor, Murphy and Romeo walked to the table as they looked at the selection of guns when they picked up three guns, quickly checked the ammunition clip, placed the ammunition clip back in place, loaded the chamber, turned the safety off then they pointed the guns at her.
"Showoffs," Louisa mouthed and Romeo and the twins gave her a little bow after they placed the safety back on and they put the guns back on the table.
"Let's see how well you can shoot," an agent said while he handed them the soundproof earphones and Romeo, Murphy and Connor placed the soundproof earphones on. Connor looked at the selection of guns on the table as he frowned and he lowered the soundproof earphones before he tapped his twin's right shoulder. Murphy and Romeo removed the soundproof earphones as Connor pointed to the selection of guns and they looked at the guns.
"Are these th'only guns you have?" Murphy asked.
"Yes, Sir."
"Guess we'll have t'use ours," Connor said and Murphy nodded. They opened the black Navy peacoats when they crossed their arms, pulled out the Barretta guns out of the holsters and they pointed the Barretta guns to the agents. Louisa had removed the chrome plated gun from the inner pocket of her suit blazer as she handed the chrome plated gun to Romeo and he nodded.
"How did you get those passed security?!" one of the agents asked.
"Guess they fergot t'search us," Murphy said as he leaned his left elbow on Connor's right shoulder and he pointed the Barretta at the floor.
"Wanna show them how it's done?" Romeo asked.
"Aye," the twins said at the same time and they placed the guns on the table, put the soundproof earphones on then they picked up the guns. They walked to the red line painted on the floor as they looked at the targets, loaded the chambers, turned the safety off, took aim and they wrapped their fingers around the triggers. The agents, Louisa and Morgan placed the soundproof earphones on when Romeo, Murphy and Connor fired and pieces of the targets flew into the air. They lowered the guns after they placed the safety back on and one of the agents pushed the button. The targets moved closer as they looked at the large holes in the targets and Connor and Murphy nudged each other.
"Bloody hell," one of the agents whispered and Connor and Murphy placed the guns back in the holsters before they buttoned the black Navy peacoats. Romeo handed the chrome plated gun to Louisa after he had put the safety back on and she placed the chrome plated gun back in the inner pocket of her suit blazer. They removed the soundproof earphones as they placed the soundproof earphones on the table and Connor put his hand through the hole between the target's legs.
"That had t'have hurt," Murphy said and Connor nodded.
"Want to try th'rifle?" Connor asked, looking at the rifles.
"Aye," Murphy said.
"Sure," Romeo said.
The agent went to get the rifles as Louisa walked to Murphy and she looked at the large holes in the target. She gave him a thumb's up as Murphy leaned in for a kiss and some of the agents smiled. Morgan glared at the agents as they looked down and Murphy flipped his middle finger at Morgan.
The agent brought over the rifles as the twins and Romeo took the rifles and Connor pointed the rifle at Morgan to check the balance. Murphy showed Louisa how to aim the rifle while Romeo checked to see if the rifle was loaded then he aimed the rifle at the new target.
They placed the soundproof earphones back on as Connor, Murphy and Romeo picked up the rifles and the twins and Romeo took aim at the targets. They fired the rifles as the targets started spinning and Connor pumped his fist in the air when he finishes first.
"Got anythin' else?" Murphy asked as he removed the soundproof earphones.
"Ever use a rocket launcher?" one of the agents asked and Louisa swore Murphy's eyes lit up.
"We can use that in here?!"
"No, we have to go outside."
"Let's go!"
Morgan was about to object as they walked by him and they headed out of the room after taking the soundproof earphones off. They headed down the hallway when they went outside and the agents led them to an open field. Murphy and Connor rubbed their hands together when the agent walked to them with a rocket launcher and a case with the rockets inside. He opened the case after he had placed the case on the ground and he instructed them on how to load and use the rocket launcher.
"Who wants to go first?" the agent asked and the twins looked at each other.
"Age before beauty," Murphy teased and Connor shoved him. Murphy shoved him back as they started fighting then they stopped when Louisa whistled loudly.
"If you're gonna fight, neither of you are going to use it," Louisa warned.
After the rocket launcher was loaded, Connor took the rocket launcher as he looked at the target, remembered how he was supposed to stand then he took aim. He wrapped his finger around the trigger and he fired. The recoil made him fall to his bottom as the rocket soared through the air then the rocket hit the target and the target exploded.
"Yeah!" he said, pumping his fist in the air. Murphy helped his brother to his feet as they smiled at each other and the agent reloaded the rocket launcher. He handed the rocket launcher to Murphy as a scene from his favorite television show moved through Murphy's head and Murphy wrapped his finger around the trigger. Taking aim, he fired and the rocket sailed through the air. The target exploded after the rocket hit it and he looked at the rocket launcher.
"Wow," Murphy whispered then he handed the rocket launcher to the agent.
"My turn," Romeo said. The agent reloaded then handed the rocket launcher to Romeo and Romeo took aim. He pulled the trigger as he fired and the rocket sailed through the air. The target exploded as he placed the rocket launcher on the ground and he raised his hands over his head. Louisa had taken her phone out of the pocket of her suit blazer and she had taken some photographs then she placed her phone back in the pocket.
"Enough," Morgan said with his arms crossed over his chest and Romeo and the twins frowned. They followed Morgan back to the building as they went inside and they headed down the hallway.
Margaret was sitting on the overstuffed chair as the door opened and Morgan led Romeo, Louisa and the twins in the room. He noticed the redness around her eyes after she stood up and he walked to the desk, sitting down. Connor had closed the door while he, Murphy, Romeo and Louisa walked to the overstuffed chairs then they sat down. The cushion hissed again after Connor sat down and Murphy snorted a laugh.
"Don't start," Louisa whispered and Murphy nodded. Morgan looked at them as he steepled his fingers together and he leaned forward, placing his elbows on the desk.
"Now that you have had your fun, are you going to help me?" he asked and the twins and Romeo looked at each other.
"Aye, but you need t'tell us everythin'. No more secrets," Connor said as he looked at Margaret. "An' no surprises."
"Aye. If we find out you're holdin' out on us, we're done," Murphy said and Romeo nodded.
"As you wish," Morgan said with a nod.
"Then I guess we will be going," Margaret said as she stood and she headed for the door. Louisa, Romeo, Connor and Murphy got up while they followed her and Margaret opened the door. Morgan watched them leave as Margaret slammed the door and he leaned back against the chair.
Margaret led them down the hallway as Louisa walked next to her and Louisa turned to look back down the hallway.
"Do you think he means it? He'll tell us everything?" Louisa asked.
"Of course, he's not going to tell us everything," Margaret said.
"Then we're going home?"
Margaret didn't answer as they stopped in front of the elevator doors and Margaret pushed the call button. The doors opened as they walked in the elevator car and the doors slowly closed.
The door to the hotel room opened while Margaret led Connor, Murphy, Romeo and Louisa in the room and Margaret walked to the closet. She removed the overnight bag from the shelf when she opened the overnight bag and she removed the laptop. Placing the overnight bag back in the closet, she closed the door, walked to the table and she sat down. Connor walked to the chair as Margaret powered the laptop and she typed on the keyboard after she placed the USB stick in the slot on the side of the laptop.
"What're you doing?" he asked and she turned her head to look at her. She noticed the light in his eyes were dim and she felt a cold ball of ice forming in her chest.
"I am downloading the files I retrieved from my uncle's computer," Margaret said.
"You broke into his computer!?" Louisa asked as she walked to the table.
"It's not the first time."
"How come they didn't catch you?" Romeo asked, walking to the table.
"I knew security would turn off the cameras in his office if they saw me crying. So, I pretended to breakdown after all of you left."
Margaret saw the hurt in Connor's eyes as she slid her left hand over his right hand and they wrapped their fingers together.
"Did you find anythin'?" Murphy asked as he stretched out on the bed after he took his boots off and he slid his hands behind his head.
"I found quite a bit," she said while she typed on the keyboard and they looked at the screen. "It appears my uncle is already keeping things from you."
"What sort of things?" Connor asked.
"As you can see, there were three earlier killings. One in Dorset, one in Dublin and one in Manhattan, New York."
"Who were they?" Murphy asked.
"In Dorset, they were the River Walkers. In Dublin, they were the Clerics. In Manhattan, they were the Herders."
"Is there anything else he didn't tell us?" Romeo asked.
"With each killing, there was a message."
"A message?" Louisa asked.
"Yes, the message in Greenwich was In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti "
Murphy got off the bed as he walked to the table and he looked at the screen.
"In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti?" Murphy asked.
"Yes," she said with a nod. "The message in Philadelphia was Power hath descended forth from Thy hand and the message in Boston was That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command."
"What were th'other messages?" Connor asked.
"In Dorset, it was So we shall flow a river forth to Thee. In Dublin, it was For Thee, My Lord, for Thee. Finally, in Manhattan, New York, it was And Shepherds we shall be."
"There's only one part left," Murphy said.
"What part?" Margaret asked.
"And teeming with souls shall it ever be," the twins said together.
"Do you know any groups of Saints wannabes who might be associated with that line?" Romeo asked.
"Yes, I do," Margaret said as she typed on the keyboard and they looked at the screen. "The Reapers."
"Where are they located?" Connor asked.
"They're located here. In London," she said as she sat back in the chair and she sighed.
A/N: Can anyone guess what Murphy's favorite show is or which episode featured a rocket launcher?
