Three's A Party
Author Notes: Well Octwober is officially here but thankfully I get a break from my current holiday hell mini series. In exchange I need a new one shot idea...First thing to come to my mind was this and well...here you go.
I do not own RED but you guys should totally go out and play it if you've never seen it before. It's a free game on steam that takes little red riding hood into a new light that I just love~ And this little one shot is somewhat based on the end game.
Sen: Play this game and show love for it so we can one day get a sequel or full version! This was WAY too good.
3rd P.O.V
"I can't believe that just happened!" Red slammed the door shut as she fled to her bedroom. Her face flushed with tears at the corners of her eyes. "Oh come on Red it wasn't so bad. Stop being such a baby!" Vermillion appeared, crossing her arms with a huff as Red flopped onto the bed.
Despite her words, her expression held guilt and sadness. Camilla showed up as well, rolling her eyes. "If anything you went too far Ver. Did you really think taking over and seducing the guy Red was crushing on was a good idea?" The girl mentioned buried her face into her pillow.
Trying her utmost to quell her tears, but it was inevitable. Her face felt hot, no doubt as red as her namesake. Leaving her two sisters to squabble as usual. Though the words held far more animosity and bite then usual.
"Excuse me? I was only trying to help! Red knows nothing about romance. Figured she could use a hand. Besides...he was going to find out about us sooner or later. Better he find out now then dump her later."
Both glare at one another, just moments away from things getting physical only to pause when a sob escapes their sibling. Followed by a series of wails that practically shook the house down. Vermillion wincing as she realizes her blunder.
Immediately she apologizes, falling to her knees on her crying sister's left. Damn her big mouth. But in the end, she was absolutely right. Which is why Red didn't blame her or got angry. What happened was something that just couldn't be avoided. Whether it happened now or later on it made no difference.
Red had no regrets in having Vermillion and Camilla in her life. She wouldn't trade any of them for the world as they were the only ones to comfort her when their parents died. They were all she had, they kept her going. They loved and protected her. What they did earlier was no different
"Th-thank you for the flowers the other day!" Red had a hard time breathing as she looked down at the young man tending the village crops. She and her sisters had just moved to the edge of the quaint little area a couple weeks ago.
Taking a break from their travels. It was a peaceful, beautiful place with very few monsters raising a ruckus. Flowers of all colors grew freely throughout the area, even the forest on the outskirts was full of lovely blooms.
But...it was also far away from where they used to live. So many of the people had no idea of her-their reputation. There was not a speck of suspicion or hatred gleaming in their gazes. If anything the civilians of this quaint little town were very nice. It was a surprising and wonderful change.
People greeted them with warm smiles and open arms, welcoming them, but none like the young man before her. Vincent. From the beginning the young man had wanted to get to know Red. Enchanted with her mysterious aura. "It was my pleasure. I'm glad you liked them."
Never expecting what she was. He had been doing his best to gain her affections, leaving small gifts. Love was blossoming much like the flowers. However...he was attracted with her new pretty face. More curious then attracted. He wanted to know what made her tick, as if she was a puzzle to solve.
Though no one but Red could see them, her sisters were there, right alongside her. Watching with curious, guarded gazes. Neither Vermillion nor Camilla trusted this man with their naïve, innocent sister. But...This was a first for all of them. Never had any of them have come across someone who wished to woo them.
Or rather one of them. And though the eldest of the trio was smiling, joy evident, there was a hint of insecurity. Of fear. The other two could feel it, could sense her emotions as clearly as if it was their own. Well...that just wouldn't do.
Vermillion wanted to make sure Red got herself a happy ending. With surprise to them all Vermillion took over, taking physical form. Red paled when she found herself next to her wolf sibling. So shocked that she was speechless.
But not in as much shock as the man who saw the girl he was taking an interest in shift forms before his eyes. Her clothes, expression, even her weapon were different. "The pleasure is all mine. Why don't we take a walk? I'd love to get to know you more~"
Vermillion's tone was flirty as she giggled, hoping to get him to blush. Camilla growled under her breath at the interaction though she did nothing to stop it. Clenching her fists in rage and dismay as Red's crush laughs nervously. Her heightened senses able to smell the fear and disgust oozing off his frame.
A scent that...she had tried to believe was only a trick due to her paranoia. But it figures...no matter where they went or how old they would become-there was always someone who wanted to mess with Red. To play cruel games with her emotions.
Rubbing the back of his head Vincent eyes Vermillion. "Fraid I can't. I actually have some errands I need to do. Excuse me." Red's heart sank as he left. Without a second glance Vincent fled, as if he never approached her. Whispers soon reached their ears and they left. Red eventually taking her body back.
"Please don't cry Red." Camilla gently ran her fingers through her sibling's hair, though she was only in spirit form, her hand ghosted through. But her sister could feel it all the same. Camilla was trying to give the girl comfort, but...she was a wolf.
Her strengths were digging her claws and teeth into those that wished them harm. She was doing better then when they were young. Camilla didn't flat out take over to beat the crap out of the jerk. But, she hated watching Red like this.
And Vermillion didn't like it either. "I-I didn't mean to screw things up. I just...wanted to make sure he was the real deal." Tears were forming in her own eyes in frustration. "Is there any hope for us?"
Immediately their minds drifted to what though felt much longer was only a couple months ago. When they met their grandmother, and when she tried to kill them. Her cold words echoing in their minds like a slap to the face.
"Love is pointless! And even so-who could love freaks such as you!"
After their mother eloped with their father, their grandmother placed a curse upon them all. Red's curse when she was born, in her opinion was hardly bad at all. She was blessed with three different personalities, two sisters to inhabit her body.
Their parents however...weren't so lucky. They died on the triplet's tenth birthday. Within their final moments they gave a gift to each girl alongside encouragement to stay strong. Even as their bodies slowly turned to ash, they held their daughters.
Giving them their love until the end. That love however...caused a crack in their hearts. One that probably would never fade. Because of them, their parents were gone, forced to walk this world with only each other to rely on.
"I should've known better! He didn't even know that I'm a half breed. What would make him understand I have two sisters in my head?" Camilla gently shushed her, still running her fingers through brown locks. "It'll be ok."
While Vermillion cuddled closely to Red, blushing as she wasn't one for affection or being truthful to her feelings. "We're here for you Red." Still, for their sister, the both of them would do anything. Despite all the reassurances it took ages for Red to silence her tears and fall into an uneasy sleep.
There was silence as the remaining pair found themselves lost to their thoughts. But it didn't last long as Camilla's looked out the window. Her gaze hardening along with her claws peeking out. "I think I should go out for a little bit." Immediately Vermillion sits up, blinking with a small grin.
"Oh? Wanting to take a late night stroll?" A simple thought was shared between the two. For once...her and Vermillion were on the same page. Narrowing her eyes mischievously, Vermillion fakes a yawn. "If that's the case, I'm going to bed! Have fun~"
With a smirk Camilla wishes her human counterpart a good night before uttering a soft growl. Red's body changes for a split second, revealing dark skin, a fluffy tail, paws and crimson eyes. What their sister won't know won't hurt her. "Hmm...what a beautiful night." Time to go greet Mr. Vincent.
He enchanted Red, only to hurt both her and Vermillion. Now it was time for the big bad wolf to go out and play. Her and Vincent were long due for a chat~ Her claws were itching for a release, but she kept her instincts at bay.
Control...A sigh escapes her as she quietly shuts the door to their home. She hoped that there comes a time where Red finds happiness for herself. The girl was so sweet and compassionate. She deserved love much like what their parents had.
Even if their complicated past or strange circumstances were never revealed, the wolf maiden wanted to find someone who could sincerely love and understand Red. If circumstances were different, she would hope there would be love for all three of them.
Maybe when they go visit their grandmother's grave they could go through her belongings and see if there's a cure for Red. For now though, watching over her, and playing personal guard dog will have to do.
With the moon guiding her way, Camilla knocks on Vincent's door. "Who is it?" Her smile twists all the more as the fool opens the door. "Um-may I help you?" Oh yes. "Yes. Mind if we chat for a bit? I'm a good friend of Red's."
The end
