ACT 2 SCENE SET 3
INT./EXT. MORGAN AND PRENTISS' SUV - DAY - SCENE 3.1
START SCENE FADE IN:
Morgan: You gonna apologize to JJ, or what?
Prentiss: I'm sorry?
Morgan: You were kind of a jerk when we went to go see her
Prentiss, incredulously: How so?
Morgan: Prentiss, she's your best friend, she got shot and you looked at the ground the whole time
Prentiss: I didn't realize looking down was such an offense.
Morgan, huffing: You gonna tell me what's going on with you or what?
Prentiss: There's nothing going on with me!
Morgan: Are you kidding? It doesn't take a profiler to see that you were being weird even before Boston, and you're still being weird
Prentiss: Morgan, I don't want to talk about it. I'm fine
Morgan: Yeah, you keep saying that. But you're not and I can tell.
The familiarity of the words triggered yet another memory

INT./EXT. - FLASHBACK BACKSEAT OF DOYLE'S SUV - EVENING - 3.2
START SCENE - FADE IN:
Doyle: Love, is everything alright?
Lauren: I'm fine
She wasn't fine. Before the assignment, Emily had been thoroughly briefed on everything Interpol had on Ian and logically, she knew what he was capable of and what his 'business' entailed. He was one of the world's most wanted terrorists for a reason.
But until today, she'd never actually seen him kill. She found it hard to reconcile how the man who was so caring in their personal relationship could be so brutal in his work. When he pulled that trigger, she felt like a deer in headlights, paralyzed by the realization that he was a criminal and she was a spy trying to take him down.
Yet, what scared her the most was- even after seeing Ian murder in cold blood, she still wanted to be with him. If Ian was a sociopath- what did that make her? And was it Emily or Lauren who loved him?
Doyle: You're not, Love. I can tell
Emily knew Lauren shouldn't have half if any the reservations Emily had, and so she swallowed her fear and put on a wide smile to appease Ian
Lauren, smiling : Ian, I'm 100%, absolutely fine.
He looked at her, still unconvinced, until she leaned in and covered his mouth with hers. Suddenly, all feelings of doubt washed away. Emily was good at distracting him.

INT./EXT. MORGAN AND PRENTISS' SUV - DAY - 3.3
START SCENE - CUT IN:
Morgan: Prentiss?
Prentiss, snapping: I said I'm fine
Morgan rolled his eyes. If she wanted to burn every bridge she had with the team, first with JJ and now him, maybe he should just let her

START SCENE FADE IN:
HOTCH: Hi, Mrs. Blackburn. Thank you for coming
Mrs. Lucia Blackburn, 29, was a full 10 years younger than her now deceased husband. Rossi felt for the woman, she was a widow before 30 with two young kids, two daughters: 6 year old Molly BLACKBURN, and 4 year old Maddelyn.
After Hotch greets her, she nods sadly and brushes hair from her younger daughter's face.
Lucia Blackburn, with a European accent: Is there someone who can sit with my children? They don't need to hear this.
Rossi: Of course
He waves over a female officer, who understands and comes and guides the children to a waiting area
Hotch: You're European?
Lucia: Yes, I am from Germany- is this relevant?
Rossi: We're just trying to understand everything we can about your husband- where did you two meet?
Lucia: I came here as a student, for university to study business. I did an internship at Travis' company where we met.
Hotch: You were quite young at the time, yes?
Lucia: I do not understand the relevance, but yes. I was 19 when we met. We married about a year later and three years later we had Molly.
Rossi and Hotch looked at each other.
Hotch: You mentioned your husband's company. He was successful?
Lucia: Very. He is [pause] He was a very hardworking man.
Travis' success was evident based on the expensive clothing and handbag she wore.
Hotch: Did he have any enemies? Maybe business competitors?
Lucia: No, he had many friends- no enemies!
Rossi nodded

INT. MEDICAL EXAMINER'S OFFICE - DAY - 3.5
START SCENE
M.E., DR. EWAN KEMP: So all three victims were stabbed,
Morgan: All in the same place on each vic?
KEMP: Not quite, but close enough. There's also evidence that they had sex before they died, but no sign of sexual assault. DNA hasn't come back yet, so we can't know if the traces could just be from their wives.
Morgan nods
Prentiss: Were you able to tell what kind of weapon was used to stab him?
KEMP, nodding: Nothing special, standard kitchen knife. Funny, though- whoever did this was short. See how the cuts are upwards- if he was taller than the cuts would have been downwards.
Morgan: And Hughes isn't actually that tall- what is he 5'9
Kemp: About, yeah
Prentiss: So he's tiny- how is he getting control of the victims?
Morgan: Blitz?
KEMP: No obvious head injuries
Prentiss and Morgan were puzzled- how was he gaining control of men who were bigger than him without a blitz
Prentiss: Were they drugged?
KEMP: Nope. They had varying amounts of alcohol in their systems- not enough to make any of them pass out though. Even tipsy, these guys should have been able put up a fight

INT. CHARLESTON POLICE DEPARTMENT CONFERENCE ROOM - DAY - 3.6
START SCENE
Rossi and Hotch walk back into the conference room, where Reid is working on the geo profile and the church dumpsites. When he notices them enter, he stands up from his slouched position
Reid: Anything?
Rossi: We got basically the same story from all of the wives- Husbands were successful, attractive, alpha males with young wifes and cute kids.
Hotch: What about you?
Reid: Nothing in the geo profile seems interesting. What is interesting though- is the clothes. They're all folded neatly off to side, with no blood on them
Rossi: One neat aspect?
Hotch, nodding: Maybe the unsub has been institutionalized- mental hospital or prison. Garcia- create a list of men who've been recently released from either of the two, flag them if they have a violent record of any sort
Garcia: Got it.

INT. MEDICAL EXAMINER'S OFFICE - DAY - 3.7
START SCENE
Prentiss, picking up Hughe's hand: Hey, what's this?
On his hand is a black A
Morgan, looking over her shoulder: Looks like a marking from a bar for admission
Prentiss looked carefully at it.
Prentiss: No, no
She smudges it slightly with a gloved finger then lifts it to show Morgan
Prentiss: This is eyeliner
Morgan: You think so?
Prentiss placed her purse on the table behind them and dug through it for a minute, before pulling out a MAC black eyeliner. She drew the same symbol on her hand to show Morgan and the ME the similarity
Prentiss: See? It's the same. Morgan, you thinking what I'm thinking?
Morgan: It would explain the upward cuts
KEMP: What?
Prentiss: The unsub is a woman.
