There was a loud crack in the dark cavernous space. As soon as the sound had died two soft lights appeared. The luminous glow revealed the faces of a boy and girl in their late teens. The boy had an unruly mop of black hair and iridescent green eyes behind the glasses perched on his nose. The girl had a head of curly brown hair that seemed even more untameable than the boy's and friendly brown eyes. They were Harry Potter and his best friend Hermione Granger.
Prior to the Death Eater attack, Harry and Hermione had been enjoying a few weeks of Ron free bliss and trying to figure out what they were to each other. Friends, definitely, best friends, certainly, boyfriend and girlfriend? That question, they were still having trouble answering.
"Where are we Harry?" Hermione asked looking around.
"Warehouse of some kind?" the boy suggested "Look at all the containers. At least we got away from those Death Eaters."
"I'm not so sure, listen." And they did. Both could hear the steady rumble of engines.
"D'you think we're on a ship, Hermione?" Harry asked.
She nodded "Yes, I do."
She was right. They were on a ship but it was no ocean going vessel. They were in the cargo hold of a Harrower-class dreadnought, the Accuser. The eight hundred meter long capitol ship usually acted as the flagship of the Axxila defence fleet. But on this occasion it was being used as the personal vessel of the Sith Lord who had sensed the disturbance in the Force which had signalled the arrival of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger.
"I trust the mission was success Lady Palatine?" asked Captain Maxus Piett of the Accuser.
Lady Nathrrya Palatine, heiress to the Noble Sith House Palatine, Darth Avarice and Empire's Wrath nodded "Indeed Captain. My arrival by dreadnought sent the desired message." I have more titles than I know what to do with, she thought.
Avarice's head shot up at the sudden tremor in the Force. She looked over at her apprentice to see if she had felt it, Jaesa simply nodded in confirmation.
"My lord we have a life form alert in the main cargo hold," an officer said, frowning. It hadn't been there a moment ago.
Avarice smiled slightly. "Have a squad of Marines meet me there," she said, indicating her apprentice should follow. "We have unexpected guests to greet."
"Yes, master." Jaesa replied as the two Sith walked out of the bridge.
Albus Dumbledore was, in a word, panicking. Harry Potter had disappeared and nobody knew where he was. Not the Ministry, not the DMLE, nor the Aurors, not the Death Eaters nor the Order of the Phoenix. It was terrifying. The Granger girl was missing too. The-Boy-Who-Lived had become The-Boy-Who-Vanished. There was a rumour that Harry and Hermione had figured out that they loved each other and eloped. Dumbledore didn't even want to contemplate what would happen if that were true.
And that's as far as I got. It was supposed to be set during the Horcrux hunt though I never made that clear. I'm not sure what I had in mind but was intended to be humorous than anything.
I'm trying to find a Harry Potter fic I came across years ago. I can't remember the name but I recall that the House of Potter was owed money by some of the Houses and the only way to clear their debts to to give Harry some of their daughters as slaves I think. It started at Gringotts. Don't know if it was ever fished but I'd like to read it again.
