So here we are. Just so everyone knows I'm crossposting this from AO3! It's not stolen or anything I am in fact the same person lol (Midnight_Shard on ao3). I decided I wanted to start posting it here as well cause why not. Imma post the first two chapters then I'll update twice a week till this one is caught up with the other. After it's caught up it'll be on the same once a week update schedule the other is on.
Feel free to leave reviews and such but do know that at this point I have 25 chapters of this fic written. I might at some point go back and redo some of my older chapters (cause I feel like I've def improved over the course of this story) though for now I wanna focus on finishing it.
Rating is mostly just for Bakugou's language cause I wanna be safe lol. Also this first chapter is pretty short but the others from here are longer. This was just an initial chapter to introduce some things so it wasn't super long. Also I apologize in advance for any typos or other mistakes I've missed. I don't have a beta and I'm bound to miss a thing or two when I go over and proof read these chapters. I usually catch most of them but there's always the chance I've missed something.

Two teens sat on a roof overlooking the glittering lights of the city at night. Both sat in silence for a time taking in the sight in front of them. The smaller of the two turned to their companion, "So UA entrance exams are coming up soon. You ready Kacchan?"
"Tch of course I'm ready shitty nerd. Those other extras won't stand a chance." He paused and looked at him. "You better fucking make it in too Deku."
They both turned forward again. "Don't worry. I won't let you leave me behind." Izuku said, clenching his fists.
"See to it that you fucking don't. I won't have all the work I put in to make sure your dumb ass didn't get killed go to waste." There was another stretch of silence.
"We should probably head in now. We need to pick up groceries tomorrow." Izuku said as he got and brushed dirt off his "costume" which consisted of a dark green hoodie, black pants, a belt with various gadgets hanging off it, and a mask that hung around his neck currently. Katsuki got up as well; his costume was similar though his hoodie was a dark orange and had the addition of black elbow and knee pads.
"Fine. I can't trust you to take care of the groceries on your own anyway. You'll probably buy nothing but fucking instant ramen again."
"It was one time…" Izuku grumbled. Both walked to the opposite edge of the roof. Izuku perked up. "Race you home?"
Katsuki's eyes lit up with determination. "Just don't cry when I kick your ass!" He said hopping off the roof.
The two made their way across the rooftops with practiced ease. Both knew the area well as it was their typical patrol area. They arrived at a small apartment complex at roughly the same time, panting with huge smiles on their faces. "Ha! I win Deku!"
"I'm not so sure about that Kacchan; seemed pretty even to me." Izuku smiled as he made his way to the side of the building to start climbing to their window. Katsuki followed him a few moments later.
"Tch, you're just upset you lost nerd." Both slipped into the apartment through the window they had left unlocked when they left. Katsuki closed and locked the window after he came in. The two separated for the night to go to their rooms. They both flopped heavily onto their beds after changing into their pajamas; they fell asleep soon after.
The two spent the weeks between then and the UA entrance exam preparing. During the day they would study for the written portion and at night they would don their vigilante gear and use their patrols as practice for the physical portion.
"Damnit Rabbit watch where you're aiming!" Katsuki said angrily as he punched a random thug in the face. Izuku jumped back a bit from the fight, rebalancing the staff in his hand.
"Sorry Wolf! Got a bit caught up!" Izuku parried an attack from another thug he was fighting. The fight didn't last long and it ended with the two thugs tied up and the police having been called from one of the thug's phones. The duo waited on a rooftop nearby till they could hear the sirens before leaving.
Their nights generally went like this. Taking down the more small-time criminals that most heroes either didn't bother with or weren't around to stop. They knew better than to try and go after any large villains, though that hadn't always stopped Katsuki from trying, because they were still young and didn't want to risk biting off more than they could chew.
That particular night had been pretty quiet. Neither were really bothered by the quiet night; though Katsuki did complain quite a bit about "not being able to beat enough villains' asses". They stopped in the middle of their patrol to eat a quick snack. Izuku pulled down his mask and munched on a carrot stick. The two whipped around as they heard another person land on the roof; Izuku pulling up his mask to hide his face. The two stared down none other than the hero Eraserhead. The hero had been tracking them down pretty much since they had started their vigilante activities around two years ago. The duo quickly made sure their hoods were secured over their hair. Katsuki narrowed his eyes at Eraserhead. "You gonna try and arrest us tonight?"
Eraser sighed heavily. "Since you noticed me it's unlikely that I'd be able to catch you this time." He paused. "Plus it's been a long week."
The vigilante duo had an interesting relationship with the erasure hero. While he was the hero that most actively tried to catch them he didn't seem to be trying very hard at it. Secretly he had to respect what the vigilantes were doing even if it was illegal. Instead of really trying to arrest them he tried to push them towards a more legal path. If he was being entirely honest with himself he was somewhat fond of the duo; though he would never admit that to anyone. He stopped actively trying to arrest them after he accidently found out they were far younger than anyone had guessed; still teenagers that could potentially be the same age as his students.
Katsuki nodded his head sharply. "Good. Would've been fucking rude to interrupt our break." The three sat in a comfortable silence until Aizawa spoke.
"Entrance exams are coming up soon." Izuku nodded. "Yep." More silence. "Are you two going to be applying to any schools?" The duo looked at each other and seemed to have a silent conversation.
"Y-yeah. We're both gonna be taking entrance exams soon." Izuku said, not looking at Aizawa. Aizawa smiled slightly though it was hidden in his capture gear.
"I look forward to seeing you two at UA. For now you should be heading home, the exam is tomorrow." The two looked at him, surprised.
"But we didn't say where we were applying?" Izuku said, looking concerned.
"Didn't have to. Now get out of here and get some sleep." Katsuki rolled his eyes. "Yes dad." With that the duo left Aizawa alone on the rooftop.
After they arrived home they parted ways quickly and tried to get as much sleep as possible for the exam tomorrow. The two woke up, ate a quick breakfast prepared by Katsuki, and rushed to catch the train to take them to UA. The two arrived and took in the sight of the large building. Katsuki turned to Izuku smirking. "You ready to kick these extra's asses Deku?"
Izuku smiled back at him and nodded. "Ready as I'll ever be."
