Author Note: Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and it feels that this holiday has come by fast. If you haven't noticed that I did post a new story on Monday and November 11th. I am about to post a new story on Friday so I hope that you like this one take story. I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. This year is really different for my family since we were going to go to my aunt's house but the governor gave out new orders and now we can't go. :(
Character Summary:
Steve is married to Marissa and they have an eight month old daughter. He still works for Five 0.
Marissa is the wife of Steve and they have an eight month old daughter. She is a teacher and has been teaching from home as part of the distance learning.
Emma is the daughter of Steve and Marissa. She is about to celebrate her first Thanksgiving with her parents and family.
Steve walked into the house just a few days before Thanksgiving. Before he could see his wife and kids, he knew that he needed to go upstairs to shower and change his clothes. He had been doing this for the past ten months and really hoped that COVID would be done now but now that it seem like that it was not over. He and Marissa had talked about the COVID and since they had an eight month old they knew that they had to take caution to it. After his shower, he headed back downstairs and found his wife sitting outside so he walked outside.
"Hey babe." Steve greeted her with a smile.
"Hey, Did you take a shower and change your clothes?" She asked her husband with a smile.
"Yeah, I just got out of the shower. I really hope that this will be over soon." Steve responded to her. "President Trump revealed that there is a vaccine but I just talked to my buddies from the navy and they said that there is not any just yet. Trump has lied again to the American people."
"Good thing that we only have a few more months with that sick man." She added to her husband. They had voted a few weeks ago and just found out that Biden won the election. They hoped that the electoral college would not mess up with the American people wanted. "I was watching the news earlier to day and he is claiming that the Democrat's were trying to steal the election by voter fraud."
"There is no voter fraud. The man just can't face that he lost again like he should have in 2016 but Russia helped him win back then and could not because everyone voted by mail. The man tried to suppress the voting progress by closing down the UPUS." Steve revealed to her.
"Yeah but I am done talking about him. Let's talk about the plans for Thanksgiving. What are the plans for the team?" She asked her husband.
"I was kinda hoping that we could have them over since it's Emma's first Thanksgiving." Steve said to his wife.
"Yeah I was kinda hoping that too. It's been our thing to have them over for Thanksgiving for the past couple of years so why would we change it now?" She responded to her husband with a smile.
"Okay, what about Mary and Joan?" Steve asked his wife.
"They wanted to be here but their governor just ordered a new stay at home order and now they can't come." she revealed to her husband.
"So it's just going to be me, you, Danny, Grace, Charlie, Junior, Gover and his family and Tani with Emma." Steve said to her with a smile.
"Pretty much. Mary said something about doing a video chat so they could still be part of Thanksgiving with us." She said to her husband. It had been hard since Mary and Joan moved to the main land and then COVID hit for them together.
They spent the rest of the night together and then went to bed. The next morning, Marissa had took Emma over to headquarters so she could go shopping. She walked into the headquarters to find Danny sitting there alone.
"Hey where is Steve?" She asked Danny.
"He is in the meeting from Hell because the Governor is about to order a new lockdown for us to follow Washington, Oregon and I think Calfornia are in." Danny said to her. "Do you want me to watch the baby until Steve gets back?"
"Yes, Steve and I don't want to take her to the store so he has me bring her here while I go shopping." She responded to her friend with a smile.
Marissa went shopping after leaving the baby with Danny. She got all the items that were on her list and it's a good thing that she had managed to get tiolet paper last week as they were putting more out since this week there was not any. She went back to headquarters to pick up the baby when she saw her husband waiting for her outside.
Thanksgiving morning came and Marissa was busy cooking all the items that she needed to make when her phone went off.
"Hey, Mary. What? You are in Hawaii? Okay, I will let Steve know and have him come and get you." She said before hanging up the phone.
Steve walked into the kitchen to grab his truck keys after he had over heard his wife on the phone and headed to the airport to pick up his sister and niece. He was happy that she was here for Thanksgiving.
Dinner came and went and the whole family had a wonderful time. It turned out that Mary and Joan were going to stay until Christmas.
