(A/N: Because I had done Ninjago: The Great Devourer in a different way, Zane's flashback is different in this story)

Many Years Earlier

A lifeboat moves along the Endless Sea as its rower moves the oars backward, moving it forward before stopping on some sand with a silent scrape and the rower gets off, ignoring a wave flowing through his sandals. It was Dragon, and the island in question was the lighthouse that Zane lived in. As he moved up to the door, walking up the long steps, Dragon showed no signs of being exhausted until he reached the door and tapped on it with his staff. After a few seconds, the door opened to reveal a middle aged man with greying hair. "Can I help you?" He asked.

"I'm looking for a boy named Zane." Dragon replied.

The man thinks for a bit. "He's on the other side, fishing. I'll take you to him." They soon walk down the stairs as the man looked up at Dragon. "It's curious, you're our second guest in a long while. An old man came upon us last night. He had washed ashore, looked ill, and needed shelter. It was as if winter had followed him here."

"The Master of Ice." Dragon said to himself.

"Well, of course, we gave him shelter, food, and a boat for when he was ready to leave. He was very thankful, and very intrigued by my son. It's peculiar. Ever since he left, Zane's been acting stranger than usual."

"Very peculiar, indeed."

They soon stop by a cluster of giant rocks where a fishing rod was seen, bringing in a fish. "Here he is."

Dragon looked up to see Zane, with blonde hair and wearing a white jumpsuit, cutting open the fish he had caught, and throws the guts into a nearby bucket before climbing up the rocks to see him put a worm on the hook before gripping the rod, moved it back, and swung it, sending the hook into the sea. "Hello, Zane."

Zane was surprised at someone calling him name before turning around to face Dragon. "Hello." He replied. "Have we met?"

"No. But some would say I have a knack at finding young talent."

"Do you need me to fish?"

Dragon chuckles. "Maybe one day, but not today."

"Then why are you here? Are you lost?"

"'Lost'?" Dragon thinks for a bit. "An interesting word. Sometimes one has to be lost, in order to be found."

Zane was immediately confused. "That does not make any sense."

"Maybe one day, but not today. Goodbye, Zane." He starts to leave as Zane sees him leave.

"Uh, will I see you again?"

Dragon briefly stops. "I'm sure of it. And when we do, you'll be asked to do far more than fish." He resumes walking as Zane watches him leave, the wise master's words deep in his thoughts.

Present

In a tram, Zane, still in his Snake Jaguar disguise, was between Mr. E and Ultra Violet as they watch the tram move down the tracks. Among them were some members, including Scars, Seymour and Timor. Scars was leaning back on a safety bar while holding a Heckler & Koch FABARM FP6 underneath his left elbow, Timor, who was suspiciously looking at Zane, had a Heckler & Koch MP5. As the tram kept moving along, a series of lights soon appear, shown to be a subway train coming in the opposite direction, causing Zane to gasp. He concernedly looks at Ultra Violet, who chuckles, as Scars, Seymour, Timor and the other bikers, except Mr. E, laugh at his concern while Scars immediately sat down as the two railroad vehicles come closer, until a secret doorway opened up, and the tram turns right, with the train narrowly missing it. Zane looked at the doorway as it closes and sighs out of relief while Scars got back up before the tram soon stopped in what appeared to be an abandoned underground train station. The rear left door opens up as Scars gets out first before Ultra Violet held her hand out at the astonished Zane. "It's time to meet the Big Man." She said.

"The Big Man?" Zane asked, concerned before Ultra Violet then laughed.

Outside, the tram moved along the line with the people inside it completely unaware that Lloyd was on top of it, hand on communicator. "Where was Zane last seen?" He asked.

"Central Station." Jay replied through the communicator. "But once they went underground, P.I.X.A.L. lost his signal."

"We haven't been able to pick up Cole's intercom either." Blake said through the communicator.

"If they're taking Zane to their hideout, then Cole could be held captive there." Lloyd replied.

"I went ahead and planted a beacon on Scars' bike." Gewuji said through the communicator. "But that is also down."

"We can't lose Zane. I'm over Central now."

"I'll try the underground on foot." Lloyd soon jumped off the tram.

He grabs hold of the edge of a nearby rooftop, turns around, bounces off, slides down a window edging, jumps off with a somersault, lands on the ground, and takes off, passing by a man and his kid, who was on his phone. "Oh, look, son!" The man said to his kid. "It's that Green Ninja!"

They turn to Lloyd's direction. "Is it?" The boy asked, but he was no longer there. "Where?"

"There!" He points to where Lloyd went. "Look!" He turns to it, only to see it as well.

"Yeah right, dad." The boy sarcastically spoke. "Very funny." He soon walked away as his father looked at the direction, in embarrassment and disappointment.

Out in the Endless Sea, the Bounty was hiding behind pillars of rocks. "No sign of Zane or Cole." Lloyd said through the ship's monitor. "They could be anywhere by now."

In the bridge, Kai, Jay and Blake look at the monitor, in disappointment. "We sent Geoff and Maggie to question Cunningham, who is being released even as we speak." Kai said.

"Gewuji spilling tea on his pants delayed him a little." Jay said. "You really have lost a special girl." Lloyd doesn't even reply.

Outside the police station, Geoff and Maggie were walking down the stairs, passing by Simon and Tommy, who were both in regular police uniforms rather than detective ones, as they got in a patrol car and drove off. "Geoff, did you and Maggie get anything from Cunningham?" Kai spoke through Geoff's communicator.

"Not much." Maggie said.

"All he did was give us the finger and told us to '**** off'." Geoff said as they soon notice Luke getting on a bike that Son of Garmadon was driving before he puts on his helmet and the bike takes off.

In the bridge aboard the Bounty, the three male Ninja, with Blake having his glasses on, felt a little disappointed as hammer sounds were heard, annoying them. "Do you mind, sis?" Kai asked, looking at a nearby grate, and knelt down to it. "We're trying to save Cole and Zane."

"What do you think I'm doing?" Nya asked from below. "Zane won't last long undercover in a biker gang without a bike."

"Oh."

Below deck, Nya was working on a motorbike as Harumi was close by. "Harumi, can you hand me the electric torque wrench?"

"Yes, of course." She said, grabbing a nearby tool.

"Oh, sweetie, that's the torque multiplier."

"Oh, I'm sorry." She puts it away. "Maybe I should be doing something more useful." She soon walked away before Nya looked up at the grate.

"Blake, I could sure use a hand here. You are literally the clone of your father."

"Don't remind me!" He replied from the bridge. "I'll be down in a minute. Lloyd's just made contact."

In the bridge, Kai placed his hands on the console. "Did you find their hideout?" He asked.

At a train station, Lloyd was near a big map. "No sign of Zane or Cole." He said. "They could be anywhere by now."

"Don't worry." Jay replied through the communicator. "We'll find them. Kai and I will search other stations."

In a train station underground, Gewuji walks down the steps to it. "I've just arrived at Metzger Station, I'm gonna try searching the tunnels." She said as she soon got off the platform, ignoring some civilians, who see her walk down the tunnel. "I'm gonna be out of range soon, so don't worry about me."

Back at the train station on top, Lloyd nods his head. "Be careful." He said, worried about his ex-girlfriend before turning to the map and looks at it. "Where are you, Zane?"

In what appeared to be a cellar, Cole, in his gi, was in a cell, trying to pull on the bars before activating his Earth Punch, and punches it, but yelped in pain, as the power deactivates. "Shit." He said to himself. "Vengestone." He soon sighed, and leaned on the bars, rubbing his soar hands.

"Careful!" Someone called out.

Cole immediately turned around. "What do you think I'm doing?" Another voice was heard. He sees the members with mohawks carrying a box, hanging from a cane on their shoulders. "So, what's in the box?"

"You haven't heard?" They come up to a door opposite Cole's cell before the red mohawked member got out a set of keys and unlocks the door. "The boss found the key for the third mask." He soon opens it.

Cole gasped as the members head into the room. "If they get the last mask, then they'll have all three." He said to himself.

The members then got out while the red mohawked member scoffed. "It's all coming together. It'll be good to see Lord Garmadon again." He closes the door and locks it.

"You mean it'll be bad." They both soon laugh.

Cole immediately backed away. "Lord Garmadon?" He asked himself.

"Hey!" The red mohawked member called out to him before he and the black mohawked member came over to his cell. "You always talk to yourself this much? Shut the fuck up!" He walks away as the black mohawked member moved closer to the cell, making Cole flinch before walking away, laughing.

"I don't talk to myself that much. I mean, sometimes, but not that much. I mean, it's only when I just kind of-" He soon groans.
