Katsuki blasted out of the way, quickly grabbing Shinsou since he was closest, as Ryukyu crashed through the ceiling along with Rikiya. "Dammit! We almost had that bastard!" Katsuki said as he scanned the now completely destroyed room. He squinted slightly at the sunlight that now came in from the ceiling.

Shinsou dusted himself off. "Was just bad timing. I guess we know what that shaking was from earlier now though."

Katsuki huffed. "Let's find him before he can get away." Katsuki narrowed his eyes. "Or worse."

The two skirted around where Ryukyu was finishing off Rikiya as they looked for Overhaul. When their search yielded nothing Katsuki assumed that he'd slipped off in the chaos. They did manage to regroup with everyone else as Izuku and Todoroki were helping Uraraka and Tsuyu out of the danger zone. Izuku looked at him as he approached. "I assume by that look on your face that you couldn't find him either?" Izuku asked, walking up to him.

Katsuki crossed his arms. "Does it fucking look like we found him? Bastard slipped out in all the confusion clearly."

Izuku frowned. "I don't think he left." He gestured to where Eri was being looked over by Aizawa. "She's important to his plans. I don't think he'd leave without her. I think he's still here somewhere." He finished as he took a look around the room.

"You really think that bastard is still here?" Katsuki asked, getting Izuku's attention.

"Practically positive." Came Izuku's quick response.

Katsuki sighed. "Eraserhead we're gonna go look for him. Watch the kid."

Aizawa gave the group a critical look before nodding. "Be careful."

"I'll stay and help, ribbit." Tsuyu offered as she shakily rose to her feet.

Katsuki nodded. "Let's move it you three! He can't be far." Katsuki said as he started to walk away.

"Four." Came Uraraka's slightly weak call. "I'm going with you too."

Katsuki turned back around. He looked her over. Clearly something had gone down since she wasn't looking great. She and Tsuyu had been working with Ryukyu so he figured it had to do with Rikiya. "No offense Round Face but you look like shit. You wouldn't last long against him."

She gave him a determined and stubborn look that reminded him a little too much of himself. "I'm fine. I'm going with you and you can't stop me."

Katsuki gave her one last look before turning back around. "Fine. Let's just go already."

It didn't take long for them to find him. Though it's hard to miss when he explodes one of his lackeys into a fine mist and then turns into some massive monster. "What. The. Fuck." Katsuki said as Overhaul turned to look at where Eri was being watched by Aizawa and Tsuyu.

Izuku slammed his staff on the ground, catching everyone's attention. "We can't let him get to Eri. If he gets her then he really will slip off and who knows when we'll see him again."

Todoroki nodded slowly. "I agree, but how do we stop-" He gestured to Overhaul "-that."

Izuku turned to Uraraka. "Make some of this debris float. We need to get his attention on us rather than Eri so those three can get away."

Uraraka nodded and quickly did as asked. Izuku swung at some of the now floating debris with his staff like a baseball bat and hit it towards Overhaul. Katsuki also took to launching some of it with his explosions. Overhaul quickly turned his attention to them after Izuku managed to hit him in the face with one of the shots.

After that he attacked the group. The five of them scattered. Uraraka kept creating ammo for them to launch at Overhaul, Izuku and Katsuki continued to peg him with their shots, Shinsou provided Uraraka with more pieces, and Todoroki attempted to slip up Overhaul with his ice. It wasn't long until they were all driven back together.

This repeated several times. They would split back up after being driven together and continue to dart around him and hit him with the debris projectiles. All of them had gathered a collection of bruises, scapes, and cuts thanks to Overhaul's quirk continually changing the terrain.

They all stood panting. They knew they couldn't keep this up forever and it seemed like Overhaul was barely hurt by their efforts. They all had the sinking feeling that they might not win this fight. As Uraraka stood breathing heavier than the others she looked from Overhaul to the ceiling. "I have an idea." She turned to Katsuki. "Remember the plan we used during the final exam against All Might?"

Katsuki nodded. They didn't have a lot of time to plan so he grabbed Uraraka and yelled back at the others. "Get ready for when he comes down! We need to act fast!" He knew that Izuku at least would know what the two of them were about to do. He'd told the nerd about his final exam after all. "Same plan as last time. I'll distract him, you get behind him. You have a larger target this time so I'm sure you'll have no trouble getting him, right Round Face?" Katsuki smirked.

Uraraka returned the look. "I'll get him, don't worry. The others will pull through right?"

Katsuki tched. "Of course. Deku isn't half bad at this and he can think quick." They were pretty much to Overhaul now. "Now get moving! We're taking this villain out for good!" He yelled as he leapt forward with his explosions. He dodged one of Overhaul's massive hands and delivered a blow to his face. "That all you got? Fucking pathetic! Give me your all!" He launched another explosion to his side to avoid another swipe. Katsuki landed just in time for Overhaul to slam a hand into the ground and cause spikes to sprout from it. He launched from the ground to avoid the spikes. He made sure to subtly check if his gauntlets were full; thankfully they were. Now all he had to do was keep Overhaul's attention till Uraraka could get him.

"Ok I think I may have an idea." Izuku said as he watched Katsuki engage Overhaul and Uraraka split off to sneak behind him.

"What do you have?" Shinsou turned to him.

"Kacchan and Uraraka are going to launch Overhaul into the air. We need to have a way to contain him once he falls back down. If we can get him under Shinsou's mind control that would be the easiest way to get him but getting him to talk won't be easy." Izuku looked at Shinsou then Todoroki. "Ok here's what we're gonna do."

As Izuku outlined the plan for them he kept an eye on the fight. For now Katsuki was managing to avoid Overhaul's attack but Izuku knew he was slowing down. Thankfully Uraraka managed to get him before Katsuki was in any serious danger. Izuku watched as Overhaul's face twisted in confusion as he whipped around to find the source of his new weightlessness. Izuku watched as Katsuki slid under Overhaul and let off several small explosions to get him further off the ground. Overhaul flailed in the air in an attempt to right himself. Katsuki threw his left gauntlet into the air towards Overhaul and leveled his other at him. With a wild grin on his face he pulled the pin for his other gauntlet letting off a massive explosion that set off the gauntlet that he'd thrown. The resulting explosion launched Overhaul well out of the room.

"Let's go!" Izuku yelled as he began climbing out the now massive hole in the ceiling. With Uraraka still keeping him airborne Izuku, Todoroki, and Shinsou got to work. Izuku squinted up at where Overhaul was and attempted to guess where he would land. "Shoto! I need some fire!" Todoroki nodded and kept his left side ablaze until Izuku had brought a significant amount under his control. He took a deep breath to steady himself. "Shinsou get ready!" The boy in question nodded. Izuku took another moment to steady himself before turning to Uraraka. "Let him go!" Uraraka nodded and placed her fingers together. It wouldn't be long till he was at the ground.

"Let's get some larger ammo ready Round Face! Just in case." Katsuki yelled as he dashed off towards some pieces of broken road and building.

"On it!" Uraraka called back despite the sick and tired look on her face.

Just as Overhaul was about to crash back down Izuku yelled "Brace!" Todoroki created ice behind them so they could hold their positions. "Now!" Izuku yelled as he once again began encircling Overhaul with fire. Izuku pushed his new quirk to its limits and he kept adding the fire Todoroki produced to the inferno that surrounded Overhaul. Sweat poured down his face from the effort. Todoroki produced more ice around him in an attempt to cool him off. It helped a bit and Izuku was thankful. Izuku heard the pop of explosions as Katsuki fired off more projectiles through the wall of fire. They kept the effort up for several minutes. They were all getting tired but so was Overhaul. It was time to end this. "Shinsou!" Izuku called out shakily. Shinsou nodded and darted towards the flames. Izuku barely managed to clear a path for him in time before he disappeared to the other side of the wall.

Moments later the sounds of struggling ceased. "I got him." Shinsou called from the other side. Izuku let his control drop immediately. The flames lost their green tint and then died out. Izuku fell to his knees, panting heavily. A massive grin spread over his face as he saw Overhaul's dead eyes and Rikiya's unconscious body off to the side.

He turned to Todoroki, who'd jumped to his side the moment he fell, and gave him a tired smile. "We did it." Then he promptly passed out.

Shoto sat watching Izuku as he rested on the hospital bed beside him. After they'd taken out Overhaul they'd been rushed to the hospital. Some of their injuries were more severe than others. Due to the adrenaline at the time none of them had noticed how bad some of their injuries actually were. Izuku had been the worst off of all of them. He'd been admitted with a severe case of quirk exhaustion. Shoto supposed it made sense. Izuku only had his quirk for a few months and he'd pushed it hard during their fight with Overhaul.

Shoto had just turned back to his phone, where he'd been keeping the other's updated on Izuku's condition, when he heard the sheets shift. Shoto watched Izuku shift slightly. "Midoriya?" he called.

Izuku turned over and looked at him blearily. "Todoroki?" He responded softly.

Shoto gave him a slight smile. "I'm glad to see you up. How do you feel?"

Izuku's eyes unfocused as he seemed to think. "I feel like shit."

Shoto snorted. "Bakugou is a bad influence on you."

Izuku grinned as he slowly pushed himself up to a sitting position. Shoto watched him carefully to make sure he didn't need any help. "How are you feeling?" Izuku asked once he was settled.

"Hmmm much better then you I would guess. I only had small injuries and a minor case of quirk exhaustion. Compared to you I fared well." Shoto answered, shrugging.

Izuku flinched. "Yeah… I probably overdid it with my quirk back there." he admitted. Shoto hummed. "How's everyone else?" Izuku asked.

"They're fine. Bakugou had some strain to his arms and there were a few deeper gashes among us but nothing serious. Bakugou and Shinsou are in another room. The same with Uraraka and Tsuyu. Aizawa had very minor injuries and was never admitted." Shoto explained.

Izuku nodded. "Overhaul and his group?"

"All arrested. They also managed to get the league members who were there as well. As far as I've heard they're tracking down the rest of the league right now." Shoto said, looking down at his phone.

Izuku took a deep breath. "Eri?"

Shoto looked back up. "She's being treated here. Aizawa is watching her because of her quirk. I'm sure once you're feeling better you can go see her."

Izuku nodded again and sighed, relieved. "I'm happy that everything worked out."

"Me as well. But I'm more happy to see you safe. We were all… very worried about you after you were taken. Even more so when we found out what you were doing. Bakugou was in a bad place the first few weeks." Shoto said as he met eyes with Izuku.

Izuku slumped. "Looking back it wasn't a great decision I know. There was so much that could have gone wrong. I-" Izuku took a shuddering breath as tears sprang to his eyes "-I watched someone die. Right in front of me and I couldn't do anything about it."

Shoto slowly, and also awkwardly, pulled Izuku into a hug. Izuku cried into his shoulder for several minutes. Shoto simply held him and let him cry. He didn't know everything that Izuku had been through but he figured he just needed to get stuff out of his system. He wasn't great when it came to interpreting people's emotions but he liked to think he'd improved since coming to UA.

Izuku's crying eventually died down and he pulled away from Shoto, wiping his eyes. "T-thanks. I needed that."

"Of course." Shoto said, settling into a more comfortable position on Izuku's bed. A comfortable silence fell between them. Shoto glanced over at Izuku to see him looking down, his cheeks slightly red. He frowned. "Are you alright Midoriya?"

Izuku jumped slightly. "Izuku!" He said, startled. Shoto looked at him confused. "Y-you can call me Izuku and I-I'm fine."

Shoto blinked. "You can call me Shoto then. Are you sure you're ok?" Izuku hid his face in his arms and mumbled something into them. Shoto frowned. "I didn't catch that. What did you say?"

Izuku slowly removed his arms from his face. "I-I asked if you remembered what happened when you saw me the first time after I was taken by the league."

Shoto nodded slowly. "Yes of course. You told me your reasoning for wanting to stay, showed me your newly acquired quirk, and then you vanished. Why?" He asked, confused. Why was Izuku asking him this?

Izuku sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Uh what about right before I vanished?"

Shoto wracked his brain. Surely it was something important if he was being asked about it. "I'm... not sure what you're trying to get me to remember."

Instead of answering Izuku laid his head on Shoto's shoulder. Shoto figured it wasn't that important if Izuku had dropped it so easily. The two sat in silence for a little longer. "I had a lot of time to think while I was with the villains." Izuku said, breaking the silence. Shoto hummed in acknowledgement hoping that Izuku would continue. After a moment he did. "I had a lot of time to think about my life. My… family. Thinking about you guys helped me out a lot. If I was having a bad day I just thought about how you were all out there, looking for me. I'd usually feel better after that." He paused. "Eri asked me about my family once while I was with Overhaul. At first I had no idea what to tell her. I didn't want to tell her that my mom was gone and my dad was somewhere working overseas in America. So I told her about you guys. You, Kacchan, Shinsou, Mei, and even Aizawa." Izuku leaned more heavily into Shoto's side. "When I was first taken I realized that some of those connections might run deeper than I thought. It was with Eri that I got to really think about those feelings. I-" he took a deep breath "-like you S-shoto."

Shoto blinked. "I like you as well Izuku. We're friends after all." Shoto said, confused.

Izuku's face flushed red. "N-no. Uh I like you as… more than a friend?" He said uncertainty.

Shoto's brows furrowed as he thought. More than a friend? Shoto rolled over Izuku's wording in his head for a while before he realized. Oh. Now he remembered what happened before. "Ah." Was all that came out.

Izuku quickly pulled away, clearly embarrassed. "I-it's totally cool if you don't see me like that! I just wanted to make sure you knew is all." Izuku rubbed at the back of his neck and looked down.

After thinking it over for a moment Shoto spoke. "No, it's fine. I think I feel the same. I've just… never done anything like this before. I'm not sure how it works." He admitted.

"Me neither. We can maybe just… see how things go? I'm sure we have slightly more important things to worry about right now." Izuku suggested.

Shoto nodded. "Right. Sounds good."

"Bakugou you're going to get us both in trouble." Hitoshi grumbled as he chased after Katsuki.

"No one said you had to come with me Eyebags!" Katsuki shot back.

Hitoshi rolled his eyes even though Katsuki couldn't see it. "We haven't been cleared to leave our room yet. Even if Midoriya is awake it doesn't mean we can just get up and go."

Katsuki pointedly ignored him as he threw the door open to Izuku and Todoroki's shared room. "DEKU!"

Hitoshi entered the room in time to see Izuku jump at the sight of his furious best friend. "K-kacchan! I'm glad to see you're doing ok!" He said nervously.

"Don't try and distract me Deku! I can't fucking believe you did something as dumb as this! I can't believe you WILLINGLY chose to stay with fucking villains instead of being rescued by us! So much shit could have gone wrong. You could have been hurt or fucking worse! You've been getting more and more reckless the longer you've been at UA! This whole stunt is still never something I thought you'd pull! And one more thing!" Katsuki paused as he marched over to a now cowering Izuku. Todoroki watched the interaction with concern. "I'm glad you're fucking ok!" Katsuki pulled Izuku into a brief hug. "Don't do it again or else I'll kill you myself!"

Hitoshi smirked at the interaction. Todoroki relaxed as Izuku nodded his head quickly. "We're all glad you're ok Midoriya." Hitoshi said, walking over to sit in the chair on the other side of Izuku's bed. "I'm sure Todoroki told you how worried we all were. And just how much Bakugou was freaking out while you were gone."

"Shut up Eyebags! I wasn't fucking worried!" Katsuki retorted.

Hitoshi smirked but said nothing. The four of them chatted for a bit before there was a knock at the door and Aizawa slipped in. Katsuki smirked and leaned back in the chair he'd sat down in. "Well this all seems familiar." he remarked.

"You need to stop landing yourselves in the hospital problem children." Aizawa sighed. "I don't want to have to keep seeing you like this."

"I'm glad you're alright Aizawa." Izuku said, smiling.

Hitoshi nodded. "Yeah glad to see you up and around."

Aizawa looked at Hitoshi and Katsuki. "Speaking of up and around you two shouldn't be. As far as I'm aware you haven't been cleared to leave your room yet."

Katsuki shrugged. "I feel fine. Needed to make sure this idiot was." He said, gesturing to Izuku.

Aizawa looked at Hitoshi. "Someone needed to babysit King Explosion Murder here." He said, smirking.

Aizawa pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep breath. "Right." He put his hand back at his side. "Anyway I came here to inform Midoriya about the new dorm system at the school since he wouldn't have known about it. I don't suppose any of you thought to tell him about it?" None of them met his eyes. "I didn't think so."

Izuku blinked, confused. "You guys live in dorms now?"

Todoroki nodded. "Yes. In the wake of your kidnapping UA wanted to better protect their students so they changed to a dorm system. Each class has their own building."

"You can go to other class' dorms though. I've snuck into 1-a's plenty of times by now." Hitoshi said with a smirk.

Aizawa pulled up a chair for himself and explained the dorm system to Izuku. "I'll need to get permission from your current legal guardian to make things official. Last time Bakugou got the sheet signed for me but this time I'll go talk to them myself. All of your things have already been moved so it should be easy for you to get settled once you've recovered." With that Aizawa stood up to leave. Hitoshi watched as he turned to the door then turned back. He walked back over to Izuku and ruffled his hair fondly. "I'm glad you're ok Midoriya." He turned to address all of them. "Get some rest, all of you. And you two-" he pointed to Hitoshi and Katsuki "-get back to your room."

Hitoshi managed to pull Katsuki out of the room after that. He waved bye to Izuku and Todoroki on the way out. He gave a contented sigh. Things were finally starting to get back to normal.
