AN: Hey you, mind checking my temperature? *puts hand on her forehead* Because I am ON FIRE, BABY!

Look at this! So many updates in a matter of a few days?

I am just too excited.

ALSO! I just wanted to add that I switch POVS for a second in this chapter (man I have not switched POVs in forever; but this particular one is important) and if you can't tell, it's when Merlin goes to see Kilgharrah!

Disclaimer: I do not own Merlin in any way, shape, or form! I do own Elizabeth Malinor and any other characters I make up!

Enjoy!

I nearly spilled my tea everywhere when Morgana had told me the name of the intruder in Camelot last night. "Mordred?" I repeated.

She nodded excitedly. "Yes, Mordred! There was another man with him there, his name is Alvarr."

"What? What is he doing here? Can I see him?" I asked as I moved to stand up.

She grabbed my arm, and I sat back down. "He's not here anymore, they left. He said that he needed our help with something."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "What would Mordred need with our help? He took a great risk coming back to Camelot, it must be something important."

Morgana nodded. "It was. Alvarr spoke of a crystal that was taken from the sorcerers in the last days of the Great Purge."

I rolled my eyes. "Let me guess. Uther took it?"

She nodded. "Yes. He said that it was in the vaults underneath the castle."

"But the vaults are locked up tight, there's no way Alvarr could get in and out," I argued.

"That's the thing; he wants us to get it out for him," Morgana explained.

"Us? How?" I asked.

"He said that since we were so close to the King, no one would suspect us," She explained. "And I've already agreed."

"Morgana!" I protested. "Why would you agree to something without consulting with me first?"

"I agreed that I'd do it," Morgana cleared up. "I told them I wouldn't say anything on your behalf, but that you'd be willing to help. You are willing to help, aren't you?"

"Of course, it's Mordred," I said quickly. "But if the two of us were found in the vaults then it would create too much suspicion."

"I'll go by myself then," Morgana decided, and she could tell that I was about to protest, because she put up her hand. "But nothing, Lizzie! Last time, it was you who stuck out your neck for Mordred, trying to smuggle him out of the castle. This time, it's my turn."

Having learned of the disappearance of the crystal and discovering Morgana in Arthur's chambers, Merlin decided to go to Kilgharrah to try and find out more information about the crystal. What was it's power, why was it so important, and most of all, what could Morgana possibly want with it?

"I need your help," Merlin stated to Kilgharrah once he got to his cave.

"I'm sure you do, young warlock," Kilgharrah retorted. "But first, you must honour your promise."

Merlin flashed back to the moment that he had promised to free the Dragon, but shrugged it off. "I said I would set you free and I will!"

"When?" Kilgharrah demanded.

"When I know that Camelot is safe," Merlin answered. "Please trust me."

"Why should I?" Kigharrah questioned.

"Because you don't have a choice," Merlin said firmly.

Kilgharrah, realizing that Merlin was right, nodded. "What is it that you wish to know?"

"What is the Crystal of Neahtid?" Merlin asked.

"To those who know how to use it, the crystal holds great knowledge," Kilgharrah began.

"What kind of knowledge?"

"The knowledge of what is, what has been, and what is yet to come," Kilgharrah revealed.

The dots in Merlin's head connected. "Do you mean, it can show you the future?"

"Amongst other things, yes," Kilgharrah confirmed.

Merlin looked down slightly. "The crystal has been stolen," He revealed.

"By whom?"

Merlin hesitated before saying, "The Lady Morgana."

That sent Kilgharrah into a fit of laughter. "That witch does not have the power to wield the crystal."

Merlin thought about who Morgana might try to help, no matter what the cost. "Does the Druid boy?"

"Mordred?" Kilgharrah confirmed. "It is possible. Why do you ask?"

"I believe that they are involved in this together," Merlin admitted.

"Once before I warned you of the Druid boy," Kilgharrah pointed out. "It is his destiny to bring about Arthur's doom. It may be that time is upon you."

"What do you mean?" Merlin asked worriedly.

"The ancient prophecies speak of an alliance of Mordred, Morgana, and Elizabeth, united in evil," Kilgharrah revealed.

"Elizabeth?" Merlin repeated, his jaw going slack. "But that is impossible, she doesn't have an evil bone in her body!"

"No, she does not," Kilgharrah agreed. "However, one of her fatal flaws is caring too much about people and things that she believes in, and she has chosen to care about Mordred. So long as she cares about the boy, she is willing to do whatever it takes to keep him safe. But this union must be stopped. Whatever the cost."

Later that night, Morgana showed me the crystal that she had stolen. It didn't really look like anything special, but it must have been important if Alvarr wanted it so bad.

So, after a little convincing on my part, Morgana and I stole a horse so that we could get to the Druid camp without being recognized.

The sun had risen when we reached there, and the Druid camp was bustling with activity. Morgana and I took only one horse, so we both slipped off of it as a man and a small boy in a hood approached us.

The hood flew off of the boy's head as his blue eyes lit up, and I recognized the boy to be Mordred. "Mordred!" I said happily, a huge smile bursting on my face as I ran over to him and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Elizabeth," He said as he hugged me back. He then moved to hug Morgana when the man who was with Mordred approached us.

"You must be the Lady Elizabeth," the man said as he took my hand and pressed a kiss to it.

"I am," I confirmed. "And you must be Alvarr."

"I am," He repeated. "The Lady Morgana and Mordred have told me much about you."

I raised my eyebrows in surprise. "You have?" I asked as I looked over at Morgana and Mordred.

Mordred nodded. "I told them that you are very kind hearted, and that you took care of my so well, risking yourself doing so."

"Well, I would never see Mordred hurt," I explained to Alvarr as I hugged the boy close to me. "I care about him too much."

The mood suddenly turned serious when Alvarr turned to Morgana. "Do you have it?"

Morgana nodded as she reached into the little bag that she had with her, pulling out another smaller bag, and handed it to Alvarr. Alvarr pulled on the drawstrings, and out came the crystal. Alvarr could only stare at in awe in marvel for a few seconds, before he turned to Morgana and I and told us to make ourselves comfortable.

Morgana went to speak to Alvarr, but I stayed with Mordred. I didn't get to see him when Morgana did, and I wanted to know how he was doing.

"Are these people treating you well?" I asked him as soon as we were sitting down.

He nodded. "Very well. They care about me, Elizabeth."

I smiled, ruffling his hair. "Good. I was worried about when we left you behind if you had somehow been caught or gotten into trouble."

Mordred shook his head. "No. But I ran a long time before I found Alvarr. He took me in, took care of me."

"Thank heavens," I breathed. "I couldn't bear the thought of you being in harms way."

I felt a tap on my shoulder, and looked up to see Morgana. "We should get going. The castle will be waking soon."

I felt a firm grip on my hand, and looked down to see Mordred was the one clutching it. "You will be returning, won't you?"

I nodded without thinking, and gave him another hug. "This won't be the last time you're seeing me. I promise."

I had started feeling a little sick later that day, so I chose not to attend the sudden meeting that Uther had organized, asking Morgana to just tell me what happened afterwards.

I was laying in my bed and trying to get some sleep when I heard my door open and Morgana rushed in. "Morgana? What's wrong?"

"Someone knows where the Druid camp where Alvarr and Mordred is," Morgana told me as she walked over to my bedside. "They told Gaius who told Uther who told Arthur to send out his knights to take the crystal back and kill them."

I pushed my blankets off of me and tried getting out of bed, but a sharp pain in my side stopped me from doing so. "Ow..." I moaned as I clutched at my side.

"No, you musn't leave this bed," Morgana ordered as she pushed me back on to the bed gently.

"But what of Mordred?" I asked as she forced me to lay back down.

"I will go and warn them, but you must stay in this bed, understand?" She said, and I had no choice but to nod. The pain was getting so bad it hurt to move.

"Be careful," I said, grabbing her hand before she could leave.

She nodded, squeezing my hand tightly. "I promise."

Gaius came and examined me later when Morgana told him that I was feeling sick, and he said that the meat that I had eaten for my lunch that day might have been bad, but that in a day or two I should be fine. He gave me something to drink that'd help ease the pain, and told me to get some rest.

When night had fallen, Morgana returned to my room and reported that Alvarr had been caught, and was to be given a trial from Uther.

"It will not be a trial," She said worriedly. "He's going to sentence him to death."

"And what of Mordred?" I asked.

"He ran away, I don't know what happened to him," Morgana said as she carefully gave me a hug, being mindful of my condition.

I was still confined to my bed the next day, so I couldn't attend Alvarr's hearing. But after maybe an hour of being awake, there was a knock on my door. "Come in!" I called out the best that I could.

In walked Merlin, who I was happy to see. "Merlin! What brings you here?"

"I wanted to tell you something," He said as he sat down next to me.

"Go ahead, I can't exactly go anywhere," I replied as I gestured to my bed where Morgana had tightly tucked me in.

"I had gone to speak to Kilgharrah, about what the Crystal of Neahtid," He began. "And he told me something...disturbing. About a prophecy."

"What's the prophecy?" I asked worriedly.

Merlin hesitated.

"Merlin, is it really that bad?" I asked. "What is it? Tell me."

He sighed, before finally giving in. "He said that the ancient prophecies speak of an alliance between you, Morgana, and Mordred."

"Well, that doesn't sound too bad," I allowed.

"I hadn't finished," Merlin interrupted. "He said that the alliance would be united...in evil."

My stomach dropped.

"What?" I asked, trying to sit up. Merlin held me down, insisting that I needed to rest, but I refused. I felt the urge to try starting to build up, because what Kilgharrah usually said, happened. "But I'm good! I'm good, I don't want to be evil, it's not in me!"

"Lizzie, you need to calm down before you get worse," Merlin tried.

"No!" I refused. "I don't care if she is my sister! I'm not evil, Merlin. If time can be rewritten, then so can prophecies!"

"But time can't be rewritten," Merlin said, confusion in his tone.

"Of course it can, I saw it on Doctor Who," I dismissed. I realized my slip up, and tried to regain my standing. "It doesn't matter. You don't have anything to worry about, Merlin. I promise I won't let that happen to me."

"How can you know that?" He asked worriedly. "How can you know that it won't happen to you?"

"Because I won't let it," I said. "It is not my destiny, I can feel it."

"But Kilgharrah said-"

"Oh, damn that overgrown lizard!" I huffed. "The only person who can write their future is me. And now that I know what the prophecy is I won't let it happen. I swear."

"Are you sure?" He asked uncertainly.

"I have to try, Merlin," I said. "That isn't what I want for myself."

Merlin nodded and took my hand in his own, giving it a squeeze. "Then I shall be there to help you."

I smiled, squeezing his hand back. "Thank you, Merlin."

Later that night, the warning bells sounded. I gathered my energy and pulled myself out of bed so that I could go into the Great hall and see what happened. Being bedridden sucked and I was sick of it.

"We've searched every inch of Camelot..." I heard Arthur say as I walked into the hall.

"But he escaped," Uther deduced. "He" probably meaning Alvarr, who, Morgana had told me, Uther had sentenced to death.

"Yes, Father," Arthur finished.

"How? How has he escaped?" Uther roared.

"It appears the guards were drugged," Arthur was telling Uther as I made my way over to Merlin.

My stomach was still hurting, and it hurt to walk, but I made it this far so I wasn't giving up. I had practically fallen into Merlin's arms when I got to him. "What are you doing? You should be in bed!"

"What else is new?" I asked. "What's happened?"

"Alvarr's escaped the dungeons," He answered as we turned our attention back to the main conversation.

"That means he had help," The realization dawned on Uther. "Someone here in Camelot."

And Uther and I knew exactly who that someone was.

I looked behind me to where Uther was looking, and saw Morgana standing there, a defiant look on her face.

"I'm afraid it looks that way," Arthur answered.

"Let this be understood," Uther began. "Whoever has done this, has betrayed me. They have betrayed the Kingdom. If I ever discover who it was, they will rue the day they were born."

But to me, it had seemed like Uther's threats were empty, as it seemed pretty clear with the way that he was glaring that he knew very well who had done it.

Morgana turned to leave, when she saw me in Merlin's arms. "Lizzie! What are you doing out of bed?"

"Exploring," I answered meekly as she came over and took me out of Merlin's arms.

"I can take her back to her chambers," Merlin offered.

Morgana shook her head. "I can do it. We're fine."

And with that, she helped me down the hall back to my chambers.

But I looked over my shoulder at Merlin, and realized we both knew the same thing.

Morgana was Camelot's traitor.

THE ADVENTURES OF ELIZABETH MALINOR CONTINUE...

Morgause lit a fire in the middle of the table, giving the Knight of Medhir their life back.

"When the Fires of Idirsholas burn, the Knights of Medhir will ride again," Gaius revealed.

"Morgana, I don't know about this," Elizabeth confessed.

Arthur fought with one of the Knights of Medhir.

A sleeping enchantment befell all of Camelot, and everywhere there were Knights, peasants, servants, all passed out where they stood.

Arthur put Gwen into her bed, they checked on Uther, and Merlin tried shaking Gaius awake.

"It must be the work of magic," Merlin guessed.

"What was your first clue?" Elizabeth grumbled under her breath.

The Knights of Medhir make it to Camelot and invade.

The leader of the Knights gets off of their horse, and takes off their helmet to reveal that it's Morgause.

"Camelot's end is nigh and there's nothing you can do about it," Kilgharrah said.

Elizabeth screamed as a Knight raised their sword to strike her down.
