AN: I should have known better than to watch a show where Bradley James was in it.
Sorry for the delay but he's the final part of Gwaine!
ENJOY!
"Rise and shine, my Lady," Gwen announced as she pulled open my curtains.
My head had already begun pounding when I woke up, but the added sunshine made me want to die. "Turn off the sun," I grumbled as I threw my blanket over my head.
"Elizabeth, it's nearly noon," Gwen said as she walked over to me and tried tugging down my blanket. "You can't sleep forever."
"I can try," I moaned as I let go of the blanket to put my hands on my head. "Tell me Guinevere, did I do anything embarrassing last night?"
"Not that I know of," Gwen answered as she pulled my blanket off and grabbed my arms to pull me out of bed. I was pretty much a ragdoll as she sat me up. She handed me a glass. "Gaius says not to ask what it is, not to taste it, and to drink it all in one go."
Whatever was in the glass looked disgusting, but if it was to help with the hangover, it was better than nothing. I downed whatever was in it. I tried not to taste it but the aftertaste left a horrible feeling in my mouth and made my entire body shiver. "I really miss Advil."
"Uther wants to see you once you're dressed," Gwen said. "He wants to discuss your behaviour last night."
Oh no. I grabbed my blanket. "In that case, I intend on spending forever under my blanket."
After a thorough lecture from Uther (which resulted in him taking away my money for the time being) I went looking for Merlin and Gwaine. Okay, mostly Gwaine.
Arthur told me because of the big scene that we made at the tavern and because Gwaine made me look bad (I didn't know how-we were both drinking) he was making Gwaine and Merlin clean the shoes of the entire army. I found them in the throne room, and it looked like they were barely beginning.
"Working hard or hardly working?" I asked as I stepped inside.
Gwaine grumbled as he scrubbed at the boots. "Arthur is a thoroughbred little braggart."
"Why?" Merlin asked.
"For making us do this," He answered.
"I think it's fair," Merlin allowed.
"For the entire army?" Gwaine asked incredulously, gesturing at all the boots.
"If you admitted your father was a knight, you wouldn't have to," Merlin told him.
"Wait, your father was a knight?" I asked as I sat down next to Merlin.
"It's not a big thing," Gwaine dismissed. He looked really uncomfortable when I asked, so I just let it go. "But I'm not making the same mistakes that he did. Anyway, my father always treated his servants well."
"You didn't know him," Merlin pointed out.
"Well, I like to think that he did," Gwaine practically snapped. He calmed down a little as he asked, "What about yours?"
"No, he didn't have any servants. He didn't have...well...anyone," Merlin answered.
"When did he die?" Gwaine asked.
"About a year ago. I just wish that I had the chance to know him better. So much he could've taught me," Merlin said sadly, and I reached over and put my hand on his shoulder. He looked over at me and gave me a smile, which I returned. Merlin had told me all about how he had met his father, Balinor, who had helped him stop Kilgharrah before dying. I really wished I had been there with Merlin. It really sounded like he would have needed me there.
"But you did get to meet him," Gwaine pointed out.
"Yeah," Merlin said.
"If there's one thing that I learned from my father's life, is that titles don't mean anything. It's what's inside..." Gwaine slapped Merlin's knee with the cleaning brush. "...that counts."
"Ow," Merlin grumbled, and Gwaine and I laughed.
Gaius was bandaging Merlin's finger up. The poor boy had gone to Sir Oswald's chambers to continue working for them, but when he picked up his sword, he cut himself pretty badly.
"To the eye the sword appeared blunt, but when I touched it..." Merlin trailed off as he grimaced.
"You were lucky. I've seen those blades in action. They're forged using sorcery," Gwaine explained.
"What would they want with such a blade?" Gaius asked.
"I think they mean to kill Arthur in the mêlée," Merlin deduced.
"But in front of so many people?" I asked. "Surely that's demented, they'd never get away with it."
"You'd never know, Beth," Gwaine said, and my heart tingled a little as he called me his special nickname for me. "It's the perfect cover. If they succeed, nobody will suspect it was intentional."
"I need to warn Arthur," Merlin deduced.
"Merlin, Sir Oswald's a knight. He comes from a well respected family. You can't accuse him without proof," Gaius reminded him.
"Then what we need to do is get our hands on that sword," I suggested. "That'll be enough proof for Uther."
"I'll get it," Gwaine volunteered.
"What if they catch you? What reason would you have to be in Sir Oswald's chamber?" Merlin asked, reminding him of that little fact. "No. It's safer if I do it."
Merlin left, but he was gone for a very long time. I was sitting down next to Gaius but eventually I stood up and began to pace as I worried for Merlin. "Merlin's still not back yet," I muttered worriedly, gnawing on a fingernail.
"I know," Gwaine said.
"He should be back by now," I said as I pulled my finger away from my mouth.
"I know," Gaius said.
"I'm going to go see what's going on," Gwaine said quickly, and he was out the door before Gaius or I could say something.
"Gwaine!" I called after him, and I was going to go after him, but Gaius grabbed my arm and held me back.
"I think Gwaine can handle this," Gaius said.
"But what if he can't?" I asked as I pulled my arm away from Gaius. "I can't let anything happen to Gwaine. Or to Merlin."
It turned out, Gwaine couldn't handle it.
Sir Oswald and Sir Ethan had caught Merlin, who in turn was saved by Gwaine who sword fought with Sir Ethan, only to have Sir Ethan demand an audience with the King for Gwaine having attacked him.
I struggled to keep up with Merlin's long legs as I trailed behind him and Gaius, "It's not Sir Oswald. It's that thug from the tavern, Dagr. He's using a magical crystal to change his appearance."
"The one that we fought with?" I asked, and Merlin nodded in confirmation as we got to the council chambers. Once we got there, I went and stood next to Arthur and Uther. As soon as I turned around, Gwaine was being dragged into the room. It took everything in me to not run over to him and pull him free of the shackles but the action just would have landed me in chains too. And chains weren't fun.
"Sire, this man attacked me, with a sword, tried to kill me," Sir Oswald, or as Merlin thought, Dagr sneered at Gwaine.
"Is this true?" Uther asked.
"I stepped in to protect Merlin," Gwaine answered simply, and my heart swelled with admiration.
"I tried to talk to him. He was like a man possessed," Dagr said, and he nodded at Sir Ethan-who probably wasn't Sir Ethan at all. "I'm sure that Sir Ethan will back me up."
"Indeed, I can vouch for his every word," Sir Ethan said.
"He's a liar!" Gwaine argued.
"I will have your tongue! How dare you speak to a knight in that way?!" Uther roared.
"Nobility is defined by what you do, and not by who you are. And these men are anything but. They are arrogant thugs!" Gwaine said, and I had to keep myself from running to him and hugging him for his bravery.
"Gwaine," Arthur said gently.
"Well, you see, Sire, how he behaves," Dagr said.
"I've heard enough. For a commoner to attack a nobleman is in violation of the Knight's Code," Uther decreed.
"I couldn't agree with you more, Sire. He must be made an example of," Dagr said.
"Sir Oswald, please," Arthur tried to plead.
"Nothing less than his execution will give me satisfaction," Dagr said.
"Father, I understand how this must look, it's an embarrassing situation," Arthur began his case, and I had to keep myself from hugging him, too. A lot of hugs going on around here. "Sir Oswald is a dear friend, and our guest here in Camelot. But Gwaine is my guest here, too. And he may not be of noble birth, but I can vouch that he has a noble heart."
"How can you say that when you see the way he behaves?" Uther argued.
"Gwaine risked his life to save mine. I beg you, please, if a knight's word is his bond, then I give you my word Gwaine is a good man. He deserves clemency," Arthur reasoned.
Uther took a second to take in Arthur's words, then turned to face Gwaine. "You are banished from Camelot. If you ever return, you will pay for it with your life. You have until dawn to leave the city."
Though my heart sank all the way to my feet, at least he wasn't dead.
"We're sorry," Merlin said to Gwaine on behalf of the both of us as we watched him pack away his stuff. Damn it, no matter how many friends Merlin and I make, we could never get them to stay. After Morgana turned evil, Merlin was the only person that I had anymore.
"Don't be. I never stay in one place for very long. People get sick of me too quickly," Gwaine tried joking.
"We didn't," I said genuinely, trying to communicate to him with my eyes.
"After the trouble I caused?" Gwaine asked.
"You livened the place up," Merlin expressed.
Gwaine chuckled, then quickly became serious. "Make sure you look after Arthur. He's in danger."
"I thought you hated nobles?" Merlin asked, confused.
"Heh, well...maybe that one's worth dying for, eh?" Gwaine said as he nudged Merlin.
I smiled at him as I said, "I'll walk you out."
"It's still stupidly unfair that Uther has banished you," I grumbled as I followed Gwaine to the front of the castle.
"I'm lucky he didn't kill me," Gwaine said. "Though I do regret that I don't get to spend more time with you and Merlin. You two really are good people."
I smiled. "Thanks. And I'm just upset that we didn't get to spend more time together."
"And why is that?" Gwaine asked, and my heart dropped when I realized what I had just said.
"Well, I-I mean," I stammered, coming to a stop. Gwaine turned around, and he had an amused look on his face, like he knew what I was feeling for him but he wanted me to actually say it. "I'm just upset that we didn't get to spend more time to get to know each other."
"Get to know each other better in what way?" Gwaine asked, stepping closer to me.
My heart thudded loudly as I said, "Well, you're a very handsome man, Gwaine And sweet, and thoughtful, and..." My mnd trailed off as Gwaine lowered his face to mine, our noses and our lips almost brushing. My eyes fluttered shut, and I waited for the moment where Gwaine's lips touched mine to come.
A few seconds after, Gwaine pressed his soft lips to mine. And...it didn't feel the way I thought it would.
I thought that my heart was going to explode and fireworks were going to emit from me and I would put my arms around Gwaine's neck while he put his hands around my waist and pull me closer to him.
But all I felt was a small spark that quickly died a few seconds after he kissed me. I mean, it actually took me a while before I consciously started kissing him back, and even then, it was pretty awkward. Great. My first kiss in this world and I didn't even get to enjoy it.
Gwaine and I kissed for maybe ten seconds when he finally pulled away. He didn't have a dreamy look on his face like I thought he would, but instead he had a knowing smile across his lips. "I'm the wrong guy."
"What?" I asked.
"I've known this whole time that you've liked me, Beth," Gwaine said. "But I never acted on it because I knew I wasn't the right one for you. However, now that I'm leaving, I don't want you to be hung up on me. I had to show you that there was someone else that you liked."
"But I know I like you," I said, perplexed.
"Think about it," Gwaine said. "Before I kissed you, how were you feeling?"
"Excited," I answered. "I mean, my heart was racing."
"And when I actually was kissing you?" he asked. "How did you feel then?"
I paused. "Nothing, actually."
Gwaine gave a rueful smile. "That's because while you still want someone to kiss, that person isn't me. You're just projecting your feelings on to me."
"Feelings for who?" I asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" Gwaine asked, and when I shook my head, he rolled his eyes at me and said, "Merlin."
I scoffed in disbelief. "What? Merlin? You think I like-"
For some reason, I couldn't finish that sentence. I felt like someone had knocked the wind right out of my body. I wanted to say that "Merlin was my best friend and that's all he would ever be".
But I didn't. I couldn't.
Gwaine gave me a knowing look as he nodded his head. "See? You're in love with him. You probably just never noticed."
Gwaine pressed a kiss to my cheek, and then he was gone, leaving me alone in the hallway to think about my new feelings.
...or the feelings that'd been there all along.
I avoided everyone after that. I crawled into my bed and refused to come out from under the covers-not to speak to Morgana, or Gwen, or go have dinner with Uther, Arthur, and Morgana, and I ignored Merlin's calls from outside my door (Merlin was the last person I wanted to see)-thinking about what had happened with Gwaine.
It was true that Merlin was my best friend in this world. There was no denying that.
But when had my feelings started to shift? I mean, I knew that I liked him, but I must have confused those feelings with the feelings I normally felt for him. I subconsciously rejected them, because it felt much simpler to have Merlin just as my friend. Did I like Merlin because he was my friend? Or was it more? Did I love him?
During my year with Morgause, it was true that Merlin was the only thought that kept me from tipping over the edge completely and every day, I missed him like a deep ache, but I felt that way with Arthur, and with Gwen, and with Gaius. I didn't know what to do or what to think.
When I closed my eyes and looked in my heart about people that I truly loved (including from my old world) Merlin was the first face to appear. He was the first face to appear whenever I was worried about somewhere a disaster had taken place and he was there, and he was the first face ot always appear whenever I was in trouble and I needed help.
What I really wanted was my Mom. Never before had I felt this deep of the ache of missing my mother. Sure, she wasn't the perfect mother, but she was still mine and she was still everything to me. For the first time I think I might be in love with someone, and she wasn't even here to give me advice.
Who did I talk about this with? Guinvere felt too weird, Morgana was definitely a no-no because she still thought that I wanted Merlin dead, Arthur would just be too awkward, as would Gaius or Uther. So my options were me, me, and oh yeah, me.
When did my romantic life get so complicated?
Again, the next day, I avoided Merlin like he was the plague. Which, chronillogically speaking, hadn't occurred yet, but still. That's not to say that I succeeded, though.
When I was walking in the halls ready to get to the stands, I ran into Merlin. I wanted to run away and act like I didn't see him, but I didn't want things weird between Merlin and I. We were still friends; I wanted to keep it that way.
"Merlin!" I called after him. Normally, Merlin would have stopped, smiled, and waited until I caught up with him, but instead, he stopped, but kept walking. I knew he had heard me; he was just ignoring me, which was so unlike Merlin.
"Merlin!" I tried again as I managed to catch up to him. "Didn't you hear me?"
"Oh, I did," Merlin said stiffly.
"Why didn't you wait?" I asked him.
He shrugged a little. "I'm a little busy."
"But you're always looking for opportunities not to work," I said, perplexed. "Is there something wrong, Merlin?"
"No, nothing's wrong," Merlin said. "I just had no idea that you and Gwaine had gotten so close when he was here."
My stomach absolutely dropped. He didn't see...did he? "Did you see?" I asked, my stomach prickling with nerves.
"Oh, I saw enough," Merlin practically snapped, and I flinched at the tone of his voice. Merlin had never used this kind of tone with me. He never got cross with me.
"Merlin, if you'll allow me to explain..." I tried, but he cut me off.
"No time, my Lady," Merlin said, and the words made me stop walking. Merlin's never addressed me formally, not since my very first day in Camelot when I told him specifically to not address me like that. "I'm very busy getting Arthur ready."
And I let him walk away, mainly because I didn't know what to say to make him stay and listen.
He had seen me and Gwaine kiss. But why was he being such a grouch about it? Merlin wasn't...he wasn't jealous, was he?
I sat next to Morgana in the stands, and I was very twitchy. Normally during these tournaments, Arthur would be in danger, and I would make eye contact with Merlin to communicate his plans, but right now, I didn't even want to think about Merlin, let alone look at him or even speak to him. And even then, he made it very clear that he didn't want to speak to me, even though technically, I'd done nothing wrong. Stupid warlock who I had conflicting feelings about!
Uther gave the signal and the mêlée ensued. I couldn't really keep up with what was happening, but there was a lot of fighting and sword clashing. Supposedly, the swords are dulled so that they didn't cause actual harm, but Merlin knew that they were actually fighting with real swords.
Sir Ethan (or whoever was masquerading as him-I still didn't know his name) made his way straight to Arthur, who ducked while Sir Ethan was thrown from his horse. Another knight got thrown from his horse as well, but I quickly forgot about that as Sir Ethan got up and went for Arthur on foot.
Sir Ethan jumped and pulled Arthur off his horse, then tried to stab him. Arthur rolled out of the way. Arthur fought with Ethan as Dagr rode toward them to attack Arthur.
I didn't care if I felt hella awkward with Merlin, I looked over at him and pleaded with my eyes for him to do something. If he didn't, Arthur was going to die.
Merlin nodded, and I watched his lips utter a spell. I looked back over at the battlefield, where the girth broke on Dagr's saddle and he fell off his horse, but got up to join the fray.
"It's two against one," I whispered to Gwen.
However, someone got up off of the ground to help Arthur. My eyebrows raised in confusion as Gwen asked, "Who's that helping Arthur?"
"I don't know, but thank God he is," I muttered as I watched.
They all began clashing swords, and the person helping Arthur disarmed Not-Sir Ethan and caught the blade. He then proceeded to stab Not-Sir Ethan, and the crowd gasped. Dagr knocked Arthur down and went for the kill. However, Gwaine blocked Dagr and stabbed him with the blade, as the crowd once again gasped. Arthur and the only remaining opponent got up. They said something to each other as Arthur removed his helmet. The other person removed his helmet, and my heart couldn't help but soar when I saw that it was Gwaine.
"Oh my God!" I cried as Gwaine turned towards the King's box.
Uther, however, was enraged, and yelled, "Guards! Seize him!"
Gwaine, Merlin, and I stood waiting outside the council chambers to hear what Uther's verdict was. I thought I would feel awkward standing with Gwaine, but I wasn't. My crush had just shifted to a deep admiration and friendship with Gwaine. How I felt around Merlin, however, was a whole different story.
Arthur came out of the room and said, "The King is prepared to overlook the fact that you fought in the mêlée."
"That's fantastic!" Merlin said happily.
"It's better than fantastic!" I insisted. "It's...spectacular!"
"Thank you, Arthur," Gwaine said to him.
However, Arthur wasn't celebrating as much as we were. "But...he's a stubborn man. He will not rescind his judgment. You must leave Camelot."
Gwaine gave a rueful smile and nodded.
"Oh, you got to speak to him, Arthur, make him change his mind," Merlin tried.
"Merlin," Gwaine interjected, giving him a look that showed that Gwaine was okay with it.
"I'm sorry Gwaine. My father's wrong. If it were up to me..." Arthur tried.
"I know. You don't need to explain yourself," Gwaine said to him.
"You have until sunset," Arthur told him.
It was hard to believe that we were in the exact same position as yesterday. Me and Merlin, watching Gwaine pack away his things in Gaius's chambers. Merlin and I were able to push away our differences to say goodbye to Gwaine properly, but it still felt immensely awkward. At least for Merlin and I.
"Where will you go?" I asked, trying to clear up the air. Even if I didn't have a crush on Gwaine anymore, I was still concerned for him.
"I was thinking Mercia," Gwaine pondered.
Mine and Merlin's eyebrows lifted at his bold choice. Mercia was a ruthless kingdom. "It's dangerous," Merlin pointed out.
"Yeah," Gwaine nodded. "And you get a lot more ale for your money." He shook his head at the look on mine and Merlin's faces. "I'm joking."
"Why don't you tell the King who you really are, he'll grant you a pardon, you can stay in Camelot?" Merlin asked.
"I could never serve under a man like Uther," Gwaine vowed.
"But you helped Arthur," I pointed out.
"He stood up for me," Gwaine responded.
Merlin grinned a proud smile as he said, "I knew he would."
"That showed he is, indeed, a noble man," Gwaine said.
"Then why don't you stay?" Merlin asked.
Gwaine sighed at Merlin's persistence, and Merlin continued to persist. "You could be a knight. Like your father. You and Arthur, you fought well together."
"Then maybe one day we will again," Gwaine allowed, and with that, he gave us both a wave and was out the door, not giving an indication if we were to ever see him again.
I huffed as I turned around to look at Merlin. I found myself looking at him in a whole different way. I mean, I'd always thought that he was cute, but I'd never really used the term handsome, which was exactly the word that popped into my head when I got a real good look at him.
Merlin immediately became quiet and reserved, and he turned around to go into his bedroom. "I have something to do. You can see yourself out."
"Merlin, wait," I pleaded. "I at least deserve to be heard out. We've been through too much together for you to just write me off now. If anything, you deserve an explanation. We have to talk about this."
"Fine!" Merlin practically roared as he turned around and walked back towards me. "What do you want to talk about? The fact that watching you and Gwaine kiss was the same thing as you ripping out my heart and dancing around on it? Or do you want to talk about how I've known you for years and yet when Gwaine steps in it's suddenly like I've disappeared? Or how about when you were gone for a year, you were the only thing that I could think about? Or that I-" He stopped himself before he could get too carried away, and he turned away to hide his blushing face.
Tears were building up in my eyes during his little screamfest. I had no idea that was how he felt. "I...I don't..." I swallowed the lump in my throat. "You saw Gwaine and I kiss; that much is true. But what you probably didn't see is what happened after. He pulled away from me because I wasn't kissing him back. It was too weird. And that's when he made me realize that it wasn't him that I truly had feelings for...it was you."
That made Merlin's head snap over to look at me. "What?"
I cautiously took a few steps towards him. "Merlin, you are by far the best thing that's ever happened to me. I feel like I can talk about absolutely everything with you and not feel like I have to worry about everything that I talk about. I can't believe it's taken me so long to realize it...but I have feelings for you. It was so obvious. All the signs were there that I liked you, but I ignored them all because it was better for you and I to be friends because I had no idea if you felt the same about me and I would have rathered not do anything than be hurt and lose you as a friend because our friendship would never have been the same. You and I have been through so many ups and downs, but we've always managed to come out fighting. We're the best partners in crime that I've ever seen and I don't want to kiss anybody but you right now."
Merlin's expression had been changing the entire time from surprise, confusion, and understanding. "Elizabeth," he began slowly. "In a way, I felt the same that you did. That we were best friends and nothing more and could be nothing more. But when you were gone, I had realized that the feelings that I had for you were more. They were...they were feelings of...love."
And I felt like someone had slapped me in the face with a rainbow. I slowly walked even closer ot Merlin, so that I was standing chest to chest with him. "Merlin, do you love me?"
Merlin let out a half laugh, half scoff as he cupped one side of my face. "How can I not? You care about everyone, often putting people before yourself. You're funny, you're beautiful. And right from day one, you've accepted me as who I am. You didn't run, you didn't tell anyone about me. You knew who I was and you liked it. You're so brave, even during times where it was hard for you to be. I admire everything about you."
I broke out into a huge smile as I put one hand on Merlin's face. "When I saw you after Morgana and I had returned, there was nothing more that I wanted to do than jump into your arms. When I got my proper reunion the next day, I knew I was home. You are my home, Merlin, and I love you too."
Merlin smiled and hesitantly hoverred over my lips. I wanted him to kiss me, really badly, but I knew that he was a little reluctant too, for a number of reasons. One, he was probably nervous (how adorable!), two, he didn't really have much experience in the girl department (the only other girl he'd ever liked (to my knowledge) died shortly afterwards) and three, he knew as well as I thought as soon as we kissed, we would never go back to the best friends that we were before. We never could.
And that was exactly why I stood on my tip toes and closed the gap between the two of us, finally kissing Merlin.
And...it was the best kiss I'd ever had in my life, including my old world. I thought I had had the perfect kiss when I was in love with my first boyfriend, but that kiss was garbage compared to the one I was sharing with Merlin. With Merlin, I felt the sparks and fireworks that I wanted to feel with Gwaine. For the first time, I felt truly alive.
I could feel his nervousness as well as his feelings in his kiss. His lips tasted of honey and he smelled his familiar Merlin smell, a mix of nature, potions from Gaius's lab, and his overall familiar scent that I had grown so accustomed to.
This kiss would change everything between the two of us.
And I was ready for it.

AFTER THE SLOWEST POSSIBLE BURN IN EXISTENCE, THEY FINALLY KISSED! AND THEY TOLD EACH OTHER THAT THEY LOVED EACH OTHER!
For some of you that think Lizzie jumped a little too fast to conclusions, well, you all understand that it's just something that she's been feeling for a while, but never really confronted head on. But the little things that began occuring even last season began to show her heart what was really going on.
And come on, you guys can't tell me that you didn't enjoy seeing a jealous Merlin and then a happy Merlin!
SO! Next episode is the Crystal Cave! I'm so excited because I love this episode!
THE ADVENTURES OF ELIZABETH MALINOR CONTINUE...
Merlin and Arthur run through the woods as they run away from bandits. Arthur gets shot in the back by an arrow.
"This is the Crystal Cave," a sorceror explains to Merlin when they enter a cave filled with crystals that could be used to see the future.
"Use what you see for good," the sorcerer says as Merlin gazes into the crystal, having seen a flash of Morgana holding up a dagger and Merlin shouting as he was surrounded by fire.
"I can't get these faces out of my head," Merlin explains to Gaius and Elizabeth.
Merlin runs through the halls to get to Morgana before she could do anything.
"The events I saw are imminent," Merlin continues.
He burst into the bedchambers of Morgana, who is sliding the same dagger from the original vision into a sleath in her belt.
"Morgana is going to kill Uther," Merlin reveals to them.
"I won't let her," Elizabeth vows.
Elizabeth, with the knowledge of a spell that could help save Morgana, hesitates with using the spell. Should she let Morgana live? Should she let Morgana die?
"I'll do whatever it takes to stop her," Elizabeth swears.
Morgana walks to Uther's chamber and holds up the dagger high above his head.
Gwen weeps in Arthur's arms as he comforts her.
"We have to stop her!" Merlin insists.
Merlin uses his magic to shut the door in front of Morgana, which knocked a candle over, which in turn makes Morgana lose her footing as she tries to dodge the flames, falling down the stairs.
"No!" Merlin says as he runs to Morgana.
