Hair Style: Avian-like. Two separated bangs with a third a darker tone of blonde, brown stripe reminiscent of bee markings. The nape section of her hair is short while also being swept back into an odd accumulation of natural spikes. (Think Uchiha Sasuke or Yagi Toshinori[All Might] in his true/young form.)

Scars/Birth Marks: Burns on hands are mostly focused on the Thenar and Hypothenar eminence whilst also on the inside of the fingers (distal interphylangeal, proximal interphylangeal, and metacarpophylangeal joints) Burns also extend to the inner wrists. This is due to accidental touches when arms or wings move, though mostly occurs when new wax is needed to be moulded.

Most scarred area is the lower back, where the bone structure for the wings protrudes from. Wax is focused and made here in mass production, which also means it's at its hottest when made so it can be easily moulded.

Hero Information-

What made them choose to be a hero: To prevent civilian, hero and villain casualties. She has a neutral stance on villainy thanks to her frequent visits to her brother's business, which is seen as a safe space for heroes and villains alike.

Hero Alias: Wax Plume Hero: Icarus

Why did they choose this name: Fascinated with history and mythology, she came across the story of Daedalus and Icarus, finding her quirk similar to Icarus'

Costume: Skintight, greenish-grey bodysuit with open heels and toes (the company tasked with her costume made a mistake with this part of her costume, but she finds it much easier to move in than what she requested). Deep brown harem pants with golden accents and cuffs (cuffs mimic an explosion or crown). Protecting her midsection is a large golden band. This band also moulds around the base of her wings to prevent her wax from burning into her skin.
Golden jewellery accents Atsuko's appearance, a golden necklace, wing bracelets, and a string of golden coins hanging from her hip. The jingling of these gold accents helps her focus on the noise if she ever finds herself becoming nervous, to help keep her on track and focus on something else.

Her biceps and hands are covered by arm length gloves which connect to gold rings on her middle fingers, her biceps are also decorated with golden bands. Another set of bands are also on the area between her upper bicep and shoulder.

She insists the use of golden accents is purely for aesthetic and durability but has stated to fellow heroics department members that she just likes shiny things like her father, Takanashi Kazuo.

The materials used are highly fire-retardant, skin-breathable but can also retain heat, preventing Atsuko from overheating while also allowing her to cool her boiling skin if needed. The materials are highly conductive.

She carries a small, fire-resistant pouch to carry sweets and foods high in sugar to replenish her energy so her quirk continues to function normally. Atsuko prefers not to have footwear, finding it easier to take off and hear vibrations through the earth from the bottoms of her feet.

Why did they design the costume this way: Slits in back help provide the lack of friction between hot wax and Atsuko's back, preventing further burns.

This also ties in with why most of her skin is covered, to prevent further burns. Loose material also gives her more room to move around in.

Weapons/Equipment: No weapons.

(Eventually) Has a device in her costume which allows her to regulate her body temperature. This is to help her wax harden or melt, depending on if she is taking the defensive or wants to capture someone in her wax.

Personality-

Past/Backstory: Was isolated from her kindergarten class when her quirk manifested due to large amounts of pain, her avian bone and muscle structure forming at her lower spine and boiling wax causing continuous burns and swelling, leader her friends to lose trust in her as she wasn't allowed contact with anyone until almost a year after her quirk manifested.

Furthermore, once she showed her quirk upon her return, she was rejected by most of her peers due to her accidentally burning them when they tried to touch her wings or when she spun too fast; loose, boiling wax being sent towards them. She was also bullied by children who had Emitter or Transformation type quirks. She found solace in people who also had Mutant type quirks like her.

Personality: If she is engaged with, she tends to be quiet as she has a negative experience with people viewing her quirk and very apologetic. Despite this, she can and will put someone back in their lane if they are in the wrong or need corrected.

However, she will try her best to be social if she engages the conversation or if the person she speaks to seems to be nice. She always tries to encourage people and make them smile.

Analytical as she listens to most conversations unintentionally. When trusted enough, Astuko is louder though still significantly quiet but in an endearing way, very polite and kind-hearted. Quite motherly to friends.

Quirk Information-

Quirk name: Wax Wings

Quirk Type: Mutant

Description: Atsuko has a muscular and skeletal structure of wings which are encased in wax produced by increased use of sebaceous glands

Dilated sebaceous glands all over body, mostly on lower back for quirk.

Secretes more wax than a normal person, must eat lots of sugary things to convert this wax easily (similar to how honey bees produce and mould wax) [This comes from her mother's Queen Bee quirk]

Structure of wings protrude from lower back, many coats of wax forming wings.

Skin will have a constant wax-like feel. Much more noticeable under cold temperatures when light armour hardens more.

User has higher heat resistance compared to normal as they have to endure the possibility of hot wax.

Drawbacks:

Wings will melt if too hot (37+C)

Wings will crack and break off if overexerted or under cold climates (-3 and below)

If broken or melted, user will be in constant state of exhaustion with sebaceous glands working constantly to reproduce layers around exposed wing bones

Wax will set around body in layers if temperature is -3 and below

Applications (In and out of battle): Flight- Can fly for up to three hours before drawbacks begin, unless weight limit is exceeded

What age did their quirk manifest: Three years old

Explain how they discovered their quirk: Woke up with excruciating pain on lower back, as well as pulsing heat. Avian bone structure took two painful weeks to emerge, Atsuko having been pulled from her kindergarten class before this point due to inability to move. More pain was caused when wax began to form, causing her burns.

Battle Strategy: Cover enemy in wax as fast as possible and have a cold based quirk cool it quickly to capture enemy.

How does their battle strategy change during a long battle: Tendency to protect wings becomes more apparent as drawbacks settle in, will retreat if there are people to cover her position

How do they handle being in a losing situation: In a sparring type situation, Atsuko will take her loss very well unless cheated, but even then she isn't bitter. She accepts that there are people better than her and is bound to lose at some point in her life.

In a serious, life or death situation (villains etc.) she will push past her drawbacks to make sure none of her friends or civilians are harmed or taken hostage at the cost of her own safety and health. Takes losing to villains harshly if someone is hurt, not as defeated if everyone is safe in the aftermath.
