An interview with Belia Darzu, a Shi'ido Dark Lord

INTERVIEWER - Good afternoon, Lady Darzu. Thank you for granting an interview.
This won't take long.

BELIA DARZU - See that you don't. I'm a very busy person. I have people to kill.

INTERVIEWER - You have been a Dark Lord for over a decade now. What would
you say is your best, or greatest skill? Also, what would you say is your worst skill?

BELIA DARZU - Have you ever heard of alchemy? That is the manipulation of the
molecular structure of both living beings, and inanimate objects. Such as
mechu-deru, which allowed me to create my army of technobeasts, from
captured enemies. On the other hand, I'm not the best with a blade.
That's why I created my technobeast army.

INTERVIEWER - Something like a cyborg; half human, half robot?

BELIA DARZU - I doubt that there is any humanity left. I created a virus that
transforms living beings into mechanical creatures. Forever in service to the
dark side.

INTERVIEWER - Why would you create such an abomination? Living people are
not robots to play with.

BELIA DARZU - They are now. Look on the bright side. I gave them eternal life.
As my technobeast, they will literally live forever. They no longer require food,
sleep, nor oxygen. They feel no pain.

INTERVIEWER - Neither does a corpse.

BELIA DARZU - If I could learn Dathka Graush's famous "Tsaiwinokka Hoyakut"
spell, then the dead would rise. I have studied the holocron of Dathka Graush;
however his secret still evades me.

INTERVIEWER - Good luck with that. You are a Shi'ido, sometimes referred to
as a shape shifter, correct?

BELIA DARZU - I can change my appearance if I so choose. If it is to my
advantage I will. I prefer my current form, however.

INTERVIEWER - Who would you say has been your greatest inspiration,
as far as the dark side is concerned?

BELIA DARZU - The great Sorzus Syn. She specialized in alchemy. I would
love the chance to study her holocron. Naga Sadow also practiced alchemy.
It was those two that inspired me to study alchemy.

INTERVIEWER - Why did you first decide to join the sith? Why not join the jedi?

BELIA DARZU - The jedi had nothing to offer me. The dark side offers unlimited
power, to those brave enough to accept the challenge that the dark side offers.

INTERVIEWER - And what challenge is that?

BELIA DARZU - To control not only your own destiny, but the destiny of the
entire galaxy. The dark side offers the power to accomplish whatever you wish.
You can rule at will. You can have great wealth if you desire it. Everything can
be yours, if you accept the offer of the dark side.

INTERVIEWER - Lady Darzu, do you mind if I ask some personal questions?
Do you ever get an opportunity to relax and travel? Have you ever taken
a vacation?

BELIA DARZU - Where would I go? Everything that I need is right here.
Tython is my home. My fortress, my life's work, is here.

INTERVIEWER - Do you enjoy any hobbies?

BELIA DARZU - Do you mean aside from my techno creations?
I like to keep my fortress clean. I hate clutter.

INTERVIEWER - Do you have a favorite food? Is there some tasty
treat that you crave?

BELIA DARZU - Any type of vegetable or fruit. I do not eat meat.
I grow my own food, as l like to be self-sufficient. My compound
includes not only my fortress, but a garden, vineyard, fruit trees;
everything that I need.

INTERVIEWER - It sounds as you have a busy life. How do you
find time for the dark side?

BELIA DARZU - I do have slaves. Some of them are gardeners.

INTERVIEWER - Have you ever had a pet?

BELIA DARZU - Do slaves count as pets? I've had several pets over
the years. Currently, I have a small group of four risp dogs from
Ord Vaxal. Did you know that besides lungs, they also have gills,
to breath underwater? I have them trained, to guard my compound
and fortress.

INTERVIEWER - Are your guard dogs vicious?

BELIA DARZU - Last week they ate two trespassers.

INTERVIEWER - Thank you for this most informative interview, my lady.

BELIA DARZU - I think I hear my dogs coming. I haven't fed them yet today.
