Wanted to get onto this as soon as I could after finishing the first chp, I get the first chp was largely a rehash of the series but that was what I intended for the first chp as a layout more than anything. It's from this chp onward where the changes will be done although the story will still follow the same general path it just depends if you're more on an anime or light novel fan.
"So, he was attacked again?" it was early morning and Cathal was in the Occult research club, Rias had yet to arrive yet as she was at Issei's house healing him 'intimately'. "Yes, even still he was able to manifest a portion of his power" Akeno responded as both her and Cathal cleaned the room for the president's Arrival. "The Red Dragon Emperor huh, if he's only at this stage now the Vanishing One will surely destroy him" Cathal said under his breath, if everything Ancalagon had told him was true it was gonna to be his job to ensure Issei Hyoudou became a dragon of equal stature to that of his fellow chosen host.
"Earth to Cathal" "Huh wait wah" Cathal somehow found Akeno's gorgeous face in his as he spaced out and when he came back to the sudden sight gave him a bit of a jump which resulted in his fellow devil laughing "You know there's no need for you to help me out with tidying" Akeno suggested to Cathal hinting that maybe he could go head off and do something more interesting. "But I can if I want to, right?" Cathal asked with a smile plastered on his face wanting to make the best first impressions. Even if he was supposed to be this mediator for dragons Cathal truly was about making sure his family were safe and unharmed.
"Well yes if you want to, but why would you?" the purple eyed fox asked curiously, "well two people are bound to get it done faster and I bet we'd even be able to get some breakfast before the president and Issei show, plus I wouldn't mind taking the chance to get to know you; after all I wouldn't be much of a friend if I didn't know anything about you guys" Cathal explained happily as he continued clearing and cleaning desks and boxes. "He's seems like a nice guy" Akeno thought to herself as she cleaned and prepared tea with food to boot.
"Here let's take a break, I made this for us I hope it meets your tastes" Akeno said respectfully as she put down a tray of sandwiches and began pouring some tea, "you know Akeno there's no need to talk so respectfully like that we're still both students but thank you for this in advance" Cathal replied a bit on the nervous side, not every day a superhot chick comes and starts talking all respectful like to you.
"Whoa this is amazing, if you just threw this together, I'd love to see what you're really capable of in the kitchen" Cathal complimented resulting in Akeno smiling while she received complements like that from Rias all the time it was nice to receive them from someone new every once and a while. "Thanks, I'm often making stuff for the club meetings so I had to get better I guess" Akeno responded in a kind tone before taking a sip of tea.
"So, you said you want to get to know us better?" Akeno then went on to ask, "I'm only saying if you're comfortable telling me about yourself, if not I understand I mean we've barely just met" Cathal answered politely, while he wanted to get to know the others, if there was stuff they were uncomfortable revealing then they were more than entitled to keep it to themselves.
"Thanks for being an understanding person, I feel kind of bad considering you told us about you and your family and we had barely met" Akeno said with a saddened tone and face her face to match. "Hey don't look so down, I told you guys that because you all looked like good guys and people I could trust besides I still plenty of stuff to talk about, and don't worry it's not all sad crap" Cathal cheerfully explained as he stood up and walked towards the window.
"Oh lookie, it's the president and the super perve" he commented while laughing to himself and also managing to get a laugh from Akeno who thought it would be best for her to brew a fresh batch of tea for Rias and Issei before class starts. "Yano Akeno you might be just be a bit too kind, but if it's part of your job as secretary to the club and the president's queen then who am I to say anything" Cathal said in plain tone as he helped put away what he could. Looking at him for a moment Akeno was slightly confused wondering what he meant.
"Good morning Akeno… oh morning Cathal, sorry I expected Akeno to be here this early but usually no one else is" Rias had started ready to thank her friend for the usual great job she always does. "Don't worry about, actually I came to the club room to see if anyone was about and bam Akeno was tidying so couldn't let her do it by herself" Cathal replied while smiling at Akeno who smiled back (which obviously didn't sit well with Issei) "well thankyou it's much appreciated" Rias replied in her usual happy tone, "Again think nothing of it, in fact I even got rewarded by Akeno herself making us some breakfast and it was beyond legendary, in fact I've decided…" Cathal said with tone shifting as if he was reading something from a play.
"Akeno I know we haven't known each other long but would you please do me the honour of becoming my bride!"
The room immediately went silent, they really didn't know if he was joking or not "WHAT!" it took a bit for everyone to come around, looking down at him Akeno noticed Cathal wink causing her current heart rate to return to normal but she got what he was up to and decided to play along especially since she had now noticed Issei's and Rias' expression. "No, you can't take Akeno!" Issei was practically flooding the room at the thought of losing one potential member of the future harem. "I really don't know how to react to this situation" Rias said as she looked from Akeno to Cathal and back.
"I'm sorry I can't keep a straight face" Akeno spoke up before laughing aloud, "It was a joke, although I genuinely thought it was a proposal haha" she went on to explain to her master and fellow servant. "Earlier I had noticed Akeno seemed a little uptight so I decided to try and fix that with a bit of a joke, seems like it worked" Cathal explained the reasoning for the whole situation. Before Rias could further add anything more the bell for the start of the day rang and Cathal and Issei headed off to class together, "hey Cathal I've got a question and maybe a favour" Issei said gaining the aforementioned devil's attention.
"Shoot" was the simple response he got, "well, you seem like you a well-built guy" Issei said trying to make sure it sounded strictly complimentary, "Thanks" Cathal took it the intended way alleviating a bit stress as it was fairly obvious Issei didn't compliment guys that often. "So, I was wondering if maybe when you're training or working out you could let me join?" Issei asked politely not knowing what sort of answer he was gonna get. "Let me guess, this about your sacred gear?" Cathal asked in response only for Issei to nod, "Yeah I heard you were able to manifest it, so yeah I'll help cause we're gonna have to physically strengthen your body if you want to manifest your gear at the upper limits of its capacity" Cathal explained before the two stopped in front of the classroom doors and he gave Issei a thumbs up.
"At the next break I'll explain what I mean, Rias' brother did me the kind one of injecting me with a mindful of how sacred gears work, now let's head in"
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
As soon as the doors were opened a deafening wave of screeches reached both Cathal and Issei's ears, for whatever reason would the girls be acting like this? The two then suddenly caught eye of the board, although the events weren't for another few weeks it was important to get members sorted.
"I thought you could only do one club activity a year?" Cathal asked Issei who was on the same boat, neither knew what was going on. "Usually that's the case" a girl wearing glasses and had medium length brown hair tied in twin tails. "Aika what do you mean?" Issei asked with quite the bit of attitude, "figures the super perve wouldn't know about something unless it's sex related, for the next few weeks the student council has given student the right to join another club to help with numbers; especially our soccer team they've got a match soon and the student president is interested to see what your sport skills are like considering where you're from" Aika explained before getting up close and in Cathal's face.
"Unless your school has a Gaelic football team, I'll only be of any use to her and the soccer team in terms of athleticism" Cathal replied only to receive odd looks from both Issei and Aika. "What in the world is Gaelic football, I've never heard of it?" Aika asked curiously with her arms folded. "It's the sport of my home country, a fifteen-man team contact sport involving all thirty-two counties in a bout for championship, county and all-Ireland titles" Cathal reminisced with a half-smile, half-frown.
"I have to admit I'm really going the sport, it was the easiest way for me and my friends to get together and have fun while also doing our club proud and county too if we were good enough and got selected" Cathal continued to reminisce before he reached into his inside pocket and taking out a small meddle in the shape of a gold cross that was over another layer or gold only this layer had been painted red, in the middle of the cross there was a hole filled with white gold and on top of this white layer their was a symbol, a red hand.
"This meddle is extremely important to me, because it's the first championship meddle I received as team captain, my father and a very close family friend were our coaches so they weren't allowed to have a say in captaincy. So, the county board asked someone impartial to choose someone to be the team captain" Cathal explained to the two. "You can understand that with my dad as a coach I felt that I had to play to the fullest of my abilities no matter what every time, and not just that I also believed that I was responsible for driving my teammates on and pushing them at training. Only fifteen can be on the field at a time but there's no limit to the size of your team, people no matter the sport can get discouraged from playing and loose the affection they once had if teams are just going to be continuously the same" the Irish devil explained while thinking about the soccer team, perhaps some of their players could just use the proper push in the right direction.
"Ok… now that we have that out of the way, why was everyone screaming?" Issei asked still as confused as ever "Oh that, apparently your friends started a rumour that Cathal and Kiba are gay for one another and a lot of them are really into that" Aika said casually all the while still thinking it was hilarious. "Issei I'm sorry in advance for the death of your friends!" Cathal said through gritted teeth while emanating a dark aura. "Yo alright let's just calm down and get to the back of the room, kay? Kay?" Issei said panicking trying to avoid the massacre of his friends that in truth would have been brought on by their own doing.
After class with whatever time they had after sorting out the sports and doing mathematics, both Cathal and Issei had been given a set of instructions they needed to follow, "We both have gym next so I can set out a pre work-out for you, one that you can even do at home but right now apparently I've been summoned by the student council president" Cathal said to his fellow servant, honestly he wasn't a fan of work but if it meant getting him one step closer to his dream then so be it. "Ok, I have to go see Rias now anyway, don't know what for but can't argue with the boss" Issei replied jokingly before giving out a sigh.
On his way to the student council office (wherever that was) Cathal found himself to be for lack of better words lost although thanks to another pretty face that happened to be walking by that problem would be quickly solved. "Excuse me, you're the transfer student Cathal Pendragon am I correct?" a tall refined looking girl casually asked Cathal, she had long black hair that reached her calves, a large bust, wore glasses and had light brown eyes that one wouldn't. "I am, and who might you be?" Cathal cautiously asked as he hadn't seen the girl about the school so far.
"I'm Tsubaki Shinra I'm the secretary of the student council, the president has sent me to come get you" the now known Tsubaki revealed causing Cathal to sigh in relief, "Well that's a relief, I wasn't sure I was gonna find you be myself at all haha" he spoke in response adding a laugh at the end trying change the stale air between the pair, but to no avail. As the two walked down the hall Cathal could feel the demonic energy she gave making him curious as to what house she belonged to, "So, what house are you a part of, or your master a part of?" he just straight up asked surprising Tsubaki not expecting such a straight forward question.
"My master is part of the Sitri house, one of the three remaining great devil houses" Tsubaki responded in her usual plain emotionless tone, hearing this Cathal remembered Rias mention something about three households, Gremory, Sitri and Phoenix were the last remaining houses of the seventy-two pillars. "So it's safe to say that the President is your master and that the other members of the student council are part of her peerage" Cathal summed earning a nod of approval from Tsubaki, "that would be correct, the meeting with my master will be short so don't worry she just wants to know if you'll help out on the team" She went on to explain and somehow Cathal knew there was gonna be no leeway in this discussion.
The two had yet to reach the student council office and it had been a while since anyone had said anything, to be honest Cathal was thinking it was getting to that awkward stage and was trying to come up with something to say to Tsubaki "So, has anyone ever told you that you have beautiful eyes" upon hearing the very words come out of his mouth he could only think one response "WHAT! Seriously man that's how you start a conversation, she's gonna think you're some creepy weirdo now!" he shouted at himself ready to start banging his head off the wall so that he would not have to hear or witness Tsubaki's response.
Contrary to his own belief, the usually cold and refined Tsubaki was now currently trying to hide her crimson face "Y…you really th...think my eyes are beautiful?" she asked, her plain emotionless tone replaced with that of one of embarrassment. It wasn't that Cathal was lying when he said it, he was just trying to start a conversation and that somehow came up, but if he were to be honest then yes, he did think she had beautiful eyes.
"Of course, I do I wouldn't lie to a women when it comes to this sort of stuff" Cathal answered her happily changing her usual tone and look about things as they arrived at the office, "Thank you, no one's ever said that to me before" Tsubaki thanked him, a rare smile upon her face.
The two continued towards the office and as they did, they managed to talk about something to keep the conversations going, hell Cathal was even surprised he managed to get a few laughs out of her but he was glad he did as he thought her laughing was a cute sight considering it came from someone who everyone said is super strict. Both Cathal and Tsubaki had finally reached the office and as they went to enter the room her smile was still present on her face which for her president was quite unusual to see but not unwelcome.
Almost immediately the president could see a change in her servant as she wasn't usually this welcoming to new students or individuals especially guys, so for Sona to see something like this even if just for a moment it was nice to see her queen take an interest one would say. "Hello I'm the school student council president Sona Sitri, you've already met my vice-president Tsubaki and as I'm sure you've realised by this stage just like you, we're devils too" the now known Sona made sure Cathal was completely aware. "Tsubaki if you could give us a moment, I'd like to inform our guest about everything" Sona asked her Queen who respectfully bowed to her before leaving the room although before exiting the room she sent a glance in Cathal's direction, which didn't go unnoticed by Sona.
"I've never seen Tsubaki take such a liking to someone so quickly, especially when it comes to guys, it usual takes at least a year for her to fully take to someone" Sona said rather cautiously, it seemed rather odd taking into account her friends nature, she meets this guy, barely knows him a few hours and bam she's acting completely different. "What did you go on the charm offensive from the get go?" Sona went on to asked and right now Cathal had no idea how to answer, right now the only answer he had was the truth.
"Look I'm not gonna lie, the air on the way here between us was pretty stale, no one had said anything for a while and I was trying to think of a conversation start" Cathal genuinely said and by the tone of his voice the president could tell he was telling the truth. "Hoh, and exactly what conversation starter did you use on her" Sona curiously asked hoping it was something that she might be able to use on her queen in the future, see the slight look of hesitation in Cathal's face she knew it was just that.
"I asked her if anyone had ever told her she has Beautiful eyes" Cathal hesitantly revealed as he looked to the side, it definitely wasn't what she was expecting but she would use it all the same. "Well aren't you sweet, no wonder Tsubaki has taken a liking to you… it wouldn't surprise me if you asked for her phone number and got it" Sona joked not knowing said queen was carefully listening with her ear pressed up against the door.
"Anyway, I suppose we should get down to the business at hand, I've already discussed it with Rias and technically she can't refuse so it's up" Sona said laying out some basics as everyone knew that it was one club per individual. "What I would be asking of you is to join the school football team, I've heard about your athletic prowess and I'm hoping it can boost the moral of the other players" Sona clearly said as if she were a demanding king and while maybe not demanding she technically is a king is some sense. Thinking to himself carefully, if he could get the president to agree with him then it would be greatly beneficial to both sides, "I'll play for the team on the condition Issei Hyoudou is also allowed to" Cathal counteracted surprising the president, she hadn't expected this possibility to spring up.
"I'll see what I can do, you know how clingy Rias is to her new favourite" Sona replied in a tone which suggested getting Rias to comply would be a difficult task even for her. "Well that should be enough for me, just let me now when pres gives in" Cathal said politely before getting up and bowing, while he was good in speaking the language the culture itself could be difficult when comparing to back home, the biggest issue for him was remembering when to bow to someone and even if he did it felt strange. "I wasn't joking about asking Tsubaki for her number but I meant for contact purposes with the student council" Sona suggested as she eyed the door.
Exiting the room Cathal came face to face with Tsubaki who was trying to conduct herself in an orderly fashion, "So I take it the meeting went accordingly?" she asked curiously using one hand to hold her chin while her head was tilted to the side. "More or less, there's still some final details to sort out so I was wondering if we could exchange contact info" Cathal replied while laughing and smiling at the same time "Yeah sure" (that was fast) it definitely didn't take Tsubaki long to reply in a more excited manner than usual and she caught on to that herself.
"Great, give me a minute til I get out my phone" Cathal said looking genuinely happy while doing so, Tsubaki had to admit there was something about him as in he gave off a warm inviting friendly glow. After exchanging details, the two had to get going, one because of Tsubaki's duties and her president sent her the look and two Cathal had to dash off and meet up with Issei to plan for gym and then just for in general.
"Yo Issei you ready, it might just be gym class but I assure your balls are gonna be busted haha" Cathal joked to his new friend, as big a perve Issei was he seemed like a decent guy. "Oh yeah by the way, you're potentially going to be playing for the school football team if even just to do training with them so enjoy" Cathal also brought up while patting Issei on the back. "What the fuck man!? I've never played sports in my life!" Issei shouted violently at his comrade, slinging his arm over Issei's shoulder Cathal brought Issei right and close.
He was prepared his friend would act this way and as such on the way to gym he configured a back-up plan, "Yano Issei it's just a bit of extra training, I bet Rias would be super proud of you to and to top it off where I'm from guys that play sports tend to be pretty popular with the girls, imagine it Issei you're on the field sprinting along with the ball, no matter how many tackles come your way you're able to avoid them all as a side line of your very own cheerleader cheers you on for the winning goal…and then at the end of game well it's up to you what happens with who" Cathal suggested as Issei went full on perve mode imagining that sort of situation.
Comically falling to his knees Issei was dripping with sweat and Gym hadn't even begun "I never new such realm of infinite possibilities existed, are you secretly like me?" Issei asked for clarification, surely only someone of the same perverted stature would think like that. Cathal almost wet himself laughing at Issei's question, "Sorry, hate to disappoint you but I'm just a plain old regular student, I just thought about how you act and it came to me" Cathal responded still trying to put himself back together from the laughter.
"Honestly Issei, I think we're gonna get on pretty well together" Cathal added as they finished changing for gym, "but still doesn't mean I not gonna bust your balls during gym" he continued on as if to mirror his kind tone with that of pure evil, "If he says that's what's gonna happen just for gym I don't think I'll be able to handle true training session" Issei moaned as the pair made their way out and began doing what they could with what the school had and even still as a person who doesn't normally exercise Issei had to say it was quite the work out.
"Cathal I'm gonna be honest with you, you're just plain brutal" Issei said in an exhausted joking tone as he dragged his hunched over form back to the changing room. Laughing with his arms thrown behind his head he replied "Hey can't help what you are, I'm brutal you're a perve in the end we are what we are" Cathal replied while trying to sound all philosophical. "Just so you know you aren't gonna see any results immediately, this will take quite a while but there are definite variables that have to be taken in to consideration" Cathal said making sure Issei was fully aware that he wasn't just gonna get away with one training session.
"Oh really, what sort of variables we talking about?" Issei asked curiously as to be honest he couldn't think of anything outside of the number of times you trained. "Well how often you train is one thing, looking into what sort of build you currently have and what you're aiming for and your diet are just some of the things that will affect the end result and what sort of training will be required to get there" Cathal carefully explained, if Issei was going to be training with him it would be effective to know what a persons body type is to help develop an appropriate training regimen.
"Whoa, I knew training could be tough but I never realised there were so many different aspects to take into account" the brown-haired teen replied unexpectantly, taking Cathal's words in for thought. "Yeah, it can be a lot to swallow in the beginning but a few break-in sessions and we should have you good to go, so what say you? Think you'll be up for joining the team?" Cathal asked eagerly awaiting a response from his friend, he was hoping that he hadn't gone to rough on him today and maybe dissuaded him from the idea in general.
"Hell, if it gets me closer to my dream in any way or form, I'll do it baby; AIN'T NOBODY STOPPIN ME FROM BECOMIN A HAREM KING!" a sudden wellspring of energy shot from within Issei (as he hadn't been just training) and he threw his fist towards the sky shouting out his dream causing Cathal to shake his head in embarrassment while everyone else just stared at Issei and him.
"Ok there's still one more class before the day's done, because it's year two English I don't have to attend so I'll up with you, Rias and the others to see what on the agenda later on, I'll be using the spare time to sort out a few things I never got round." Cathal brought up in a bright and cheery tone which wasn't received too well by Issei "Man, this blows why do you get to skip class and we have to sit through a bore fest?!" the perve replied, any energy from before completely void.
In the Occult Research Club
Seeing as he didn't have the finally class of the day Cathal headed towards the club house, he thought he might have been imagining things before but the last few times the sensation had become stronger and he was noticing something that was definitely coming from one of the rooms. For now though he thought it was best to let it be, clearing the main table for himself he made some tea and set out a folder which obviously must have contained the few things he never got round to.
"Hey!" a loud voice came from within Cathal's head before a black dragon gauntlet appeared on his right arm. "Whoa Ancalagon, long time no talk, was beginning to wonder if you'd died of boredom in there" Cathal joked to the dragon who if Cathal was honest didn't seem like he had a sense of humour. "I know you're helping the Red Dragon Emperor but don't go getting attached, if your friend's power suddenly exceeds that of the White Dragon's then I'm sorry but you'll have to abandon your friend and become the equaliser on the White Dragon's behalf" Ancalagon spoke in the most serious tone Cathal had ever heard him speak so he knew Ancalagon wasn't shitting around.
"On another note, I realise that while you and the Red Dragon are going to be training together to help him unlock his sacred gear remember that as a human you didn't have the sacred gear too long, so don't neglect your own training, unlocking your balance breaker will be key in future fights to come" Ancalagon sagely explained to his host who had to admit it definitely hit hard but he understood that his own training was as important as Issei's. "I understand Ancalagon, thanks and I won't forget" Cathal said as he spoke towards his gauntleted hand before it disappeared in a flash of light. "Man, what a buzz kill" Cathal said with a light sigh not feeling the slightest sensation of energy about the room.
"I'm sorry am I interrupting?
"AHHH!... Geez Akeno sometimes I don't know, you must have done ballet as a kid or some form of dancing because I can never hear a footstep you make" A now relaxed Cathal said before offering another cup of tea towards his senior devil. "Why thank you, actually I didn't so I guess I was born naturally light footed, so who were you talking?" Akeno gladly accepted the tea and compliment even if she never did any dancing, before then asking Cathal about before.
"Guess the gigs up, I'll tell you but can you promise not to tell anyone, I have my particular reasons for when I can tell the club about" Cathal said in a trusting tone as she sat on the opposite couch from him. "I promise" she plainly responded, but it was by the look in her eyes he was able to determine she wouldn't betray his trust, "do you remember the sacred gear I showed the day I joined you guys?" Cathal asked as he summoned just the red jewel in the centre of his fist.
"You know about the two heavenly dragons?" he went on to calmly ask receiving a nod, "what you and most likely everyone else don't know is that… there was a third dragon" upon hearing this Akeno didn't know how to appropriately respond, she knew if Cathal was gonna continue explaining the way he currently was then she knew where he was going with it. "Are you saying that…?" Akeno had started but she was soon cut off "Yes, this gauntlet is that of the third dragon… The Black Dragon Emperor" Cathal answered slightly hunched over, for generations most host have been ecstatic at the power the dragon granted them, other used for their own purposes while others were manipulated by it. The power didn't just affect the host it could often sometimes effect those around them.
"I only got the gear not long before I came here so I didn't have much training with it but before everything was settled in here I Sirzechs do me one last favour for my brother and sister" Cathal explained in a sorrowful tone while shakily lifting up his cup which didn't go unnoticed by Akeno. "You asked if he would erase any memories of the sacred gear" Akeno immediately summarised seeing as it seemed like one of the most likely options. "Yes, seeing as my siblings are in year one I just want them to have the best school life possible, even if it means giving up mine" He answered with a smile, thinking of the smiling faces of his brother and sister it didn't matter if he didn't have a normal school life ever since Ancalagon came into the mix and this whole acting as a counter balance shit.
Seeing the smile on his face brought a bit of relief to Akeno, she didn't want him getting caught up in old business because she got nosy "So there's actually three dragons?" Akeno asked still a bit shocked in the matter and Cathal nodded in response, "From what I understand two of those dragons were idiots and started fighting one another during the last Great Holy War, this endangered all the sides involved and as such a truce was to be made to stop the two" Cathal explained to Akeno who understood this, she had heard about this before.
"But what about the third dragon, how does he fit into this?" she asked curiously while looking at the red gem on Cathal's hand before it disappeared. "Before a truce could be agreed on the third dragon wanted to take action to separate the other two from their idiotic fighting, apparently he almost had them but then all three of the dragons' souls got cut up into pieces by God supposedly" Cathal said with a huff before all of a sudden, his mobile started ringing.
"Hello Mr. Pendragon it's Tsubaki the Vice President"
(Oh, hi there Tsubaki, yano you can just call me Cathal, no need to be so formal all the time"
("But that would be so in proper of me, that's beside the point, I was calling to let you know that Rias has given in and if he wishes then Issei may play for the school team along with you)
("Awesome, you guys are the best thanks Tsubaki!")
"Seems like you're pretty close to Tsubaki" Akeno said suggestively causing Cathal's face to turn red with embarrassment as he knew exactly what she was hinting at. "Well I had a meeting with council and she brought me there so we talked on our way and well somethings were just unintentionally said but they weren't lies" Cathal said gaining her attention, pulling himself deeper into the couch Akeno moved over beside him "Oh really, and what exactly might you have said to her?" Akeno asked with a real sultry look in her eyes, enough to make any man weak in the knees.
"Um…ugh well I said to here that she has beautiful eyes" their eyes still in contact as he said so Akeno waited a moment before getting just a bit closer to the point where Cathal was almost pushed over the arm of the couch, she was looking him straight in the eye and the two looked to be in quite the position. "So, what about mine then, how do my eyes look?" Akeno asked in a soft voice, right now at the moment Cathal was trying to focus on Akeno's question but he was been supremely distracted by the two large soft orbs pressed up on his chest. He was desperately trying to make sure the blood didn't flow to a certain area of his anatomy right now, "Um… well I think they're beautiful too, but I also think they're unique amethyst isn't that frequent a colour, there's also something about looking into your eyes it's relaxing, even after all that past talk about everything that went down looking into your eyes was able to keep me relaxed" Cathal answered as sincerely as je could muster causing Akeno to rise up.
"You're not messing around are you, you're being serious"
"I'm serious, no messing around" a sincere smile was the response he gave her, "whoa wait why are you crying, did I say something wrong?!" Cathal panicked when he saw the tears run down her almond coloured skin only for her to smile at him confusing everything. "No you big dummy, it's just no one has said anything so nice to me before in any sort of way…so thank you" Akeno responded clearing the tears from her eyes just in time before everyone else arrived.
After any summons requests and pacts had been done for the night both Issei and Cathal were walking home together, Rias had decided that I was a better idea considering that they were both new devils and lived relatively within walking distance of each other. "Hey man do yourself a favour a try to follow that eating regimen I made cause it help toughen up your bod" Cathal said as he gave Issei's shoulder a nudge, "Ok man will do"
Kind of killed this chp off, but I did want to add in new bits, for clarification next chapter will be introduction of Asia, I'll still do how Issei and Asia meet the same but defo thinking of altering that arc, ideas are welcome.
