Chapter 2 : Best and Worst day!

The newly engaged couple made it to the Talon for Jonathan's victory party they waited for his parents to walk over to them and Clark greeted them by saying " Mom, Dad." as Lana smiled she put her hand on Clark's chest she said " Mr. and Mrs. Kent I know this as much a surprise for you as it is for me." Jonathan smiled and put his hand on Clark's shoulder as he said, "Lana we couldn't imagination Clark spending the rest of his life with anyone but you." He pulled Lana in for a hug as he said, " We only hope you have as many happy years as we have." They pulled away from the hug and heard Lois whistle over the noise of all the people waiting for the results of the election when she had everyone looking at her she said " I just got the heads up from the news room and ladies and gentleman you are looking at our new senator." Clark instantly pulled his father into a hug.

The two pulled away when they heard the news reporter on tv officially announce Jonathan is the new senator of Kansas Lois made her threw the crowd to Jonathan and gave him a hug. Lana's phone rang and she looked at the caller ID and opened her phone and answered with "Hello" it was Lex and he sounded devasted Lana told him to hang on a minute and she turned back to Clark and said " Babe it's Lex I know you two aren't on good terms but I think it would mean a lot to him if you went to see him." Clark sighed and grabbed Lana's hand as said, " Okay but only if you come with me." Lana nodded and went back to her call with Lex to tell him they are on the way they went out to Lana's car and got in and set off to see pulled into the driveway and her and Clark got out and walked into the mansion down the first hallway to Lex's study. As they walked in they could instantly tell that Lex was drunk out of his mind. He heard the two walks in and spun around to not just Lana but Clark also he was shocked to see him as he had thought their friendship was over. Lana was the first to speak when she said, "You okay Lex?" the older man laughed a little as he said, " Oh yeah I am fine." Clark made sure to be ready in case Lex did anything as he didn't know what he is capable of. Lex shifted his focus to Clark and said, "Clark you know I am quite surprised to see you last time you were here you said our friendship was over."

Clark looked to Lana who gave him a be nice look which Clark understood as he took a breath and said "Lex I just wanted make sure your okay. I know how much you wanted to be senator." Lex poured himself another drink and chugged it back before he said "You know it's funny because I hoped I would win but I kinda knew your Dad would win Clark. "Lex looked down but quickly looked up when spotted Lana's engagement ring this pissed him off as he knew that Clark must have told whatever he was keeping from her. He was certain Clark had a deep dark secret and he had been since the day they met but he could never seem to figure it out. Lex now full of rage threw his glass at the fireplace which made Clark pull Lana behind and say "Lex calm down okay your drunk and you may hurt someone" This just made Lex even mad he chuckled and smirked as

he said, "Clark you must have told Lana the big secret about yourself if she is going to marry you." Lana looked to Lex from behind Clark and said, " Lex your drunk and you aren't thinking clearly." The comment from Lana seemed to make Lex calm a bit as he said " You know Lana I could give you everything you ever wanted but to Clark you would just be a farmers wife." Clark was in ragged by that comment and Lana sensed this she put a hand on his arm as she whispered" Clark you need to come down. "Clark grabbed her hand off his arm and laced his threw hers then said to Lex " Lex your drunk so I am gonna let that comment slide but if you ever make comment like that again or make a move on my fiancée I will make sure you regret it." With that he and Lana turned walked out the door of the study and left the Lex still pissed decide to follow them so ran outside and jumped into his Porsche and started to follow well calling Clark's phone but getting no answer he started to bang on the steering wheel he looked up to see a school bus hit the couples car he jumped out of his car and run over to see that both of them were gone and know where to be seen now knew for sure that Clark had some sort of powers and he would stop at nothing to make sure he find out what there where.

Back at the Kent farm

He had used his super speed to get Lana and him out of the car before the bus hit and then speed back to the farm upon there arrival Martha had just pulled up but without Jonathan. He put Lana down and walked to the truck and greeted her by saying " Hey mom where is Dad ?" Martha gave him a confused look as she said, " He is not with you two?" Just as he was about to answer Jonathan came stumbling out of the barn and walked to his family and as soon as got there in collapsed Clark caught and shook him while saying " Dad wake up DAD Please wake up." Martha had bent down and put Jonathan's head on her knee as she checked for a pulse when she didn't find one she let out huge sob and started crying as did Clark and Lana who was now hugging Clark trying to comfort him. He hugged her back sobbing into her shoulder as Martha Called for waited for the ambulance and once it got there Jonathan was pronounced loaded his body into the back of the ambulance as the two Kent's and soon to be Kent now all in a embraced together in a hug where sobbing for their loss. Why today of all days did you have to leave me dad today was the best day of my life and now it's also the thought as Lana led him into the house along with Martha.

Okay there it is the second Chapter! I am so Exicted for how this story is going to play out I love Smallville and I am gonna use a lot of material from the show as well other Superman movies and some stuff from the comics anyways hope you enjoyed!
