Chapter 3: Talk to Me

It has been two weeks since Jonathan died, and his funeral was beautiful it felt as if the entire state of Kansas had shown up which meant a lot to Clark to know his father was loved by so many people. As for Clark he is not doing so good even with Lana there to comfort him. he is not himself which Lana understands all two well but what want's is for him to talk to her about these kinds of thing's they are gonna be married after all. It is midnight when Lana stirs wake she moves to cuddle up to Clark but realized he was not in bed. She got up and went down the stairs grabbed her Jacket and walked out the door as she knew he was in the made her why to the barn and went up the stairs to see the love of her life holding a photo of Jonathan and him when Clark was about eight years old hugging Jonathan he was crying over it. Clark had heard her coming up but knew he would not be able to hide he was crying. Lana walked over to the couch and sat beside him as she said " Clark I know more then anyone what you are going threw but honey it's not good to keep it all bundle up and I am here for you always. I love you so much Clark. You and your dad were so close, and I know it hurts but you have to talk to me baby please."

Clark looked up at her with red eyes and tears stained on his face the sight of him like this made Lana's heart break she put her arms around his neck and her head on his shoulder and he leaned his head on her's as he said "Lana I don't know how to go on without him. I remember the day my mom took this photo we were all outside harvesting the crops and mom was watching dad and me she told us to smile and dad wrapped his arm around me and mom took the photo and then one of the cow's mooed and we all burst out laughing. "Lana now in tears herself unwrapped one of her arms from his neck and started to rub his back as she said "sounds like it was good day and that's what you need to remember is the good times you had with him and everything he taught you Clark and I know that he would want you to be happy." Clark lifted his head off hers and she lifted her's off his shoulder to look in his eye's as he said " Lana how could I not be happy when I am going to be marry the most beautiful girl in the universe sure I might be mourning dad but I am happy baby because everyday when I wake up I know you will be right there." Lana now had a huge smile on her face as she pulled Clark in for a very passionate kiss and they pulled away Lana said, " I love you so much." Clark nodded as he said " Lana I love you more than anything." Just then Lana yawned so Clark got up and picked her as he said, " Let's go to bed beautiful." he speed down the stairs, out of barn and into the house. When got to his bedroom he put her on the ground and she took off her jacket as Clark took off his shirt and the two got into bed and cuddled into each others enjoying some well need sleep because Tomorrow tho neither knew was gonna be a wild day.

Luthor Mansion 8:30 am

After what happened the night of the election Lex had been study Clark more than ever to the point where he hadn't even left the mansion in the two weeks of course he had thought about going to see how Clark was doing but he knew that Clark was still pissed at what happened but today he had decide he was going to vist Clark and try to make things right with him. He got his keys and walked out the door to his car and set off towards the Kent farm he knew Clark was up doing his chores so He hoped that Lana wouldn't be around so Clark and him could have long chat he didn't really regret saying the thing's he did that night but if he was going to find out Clark's secret he needed to be on his good side.

Kent Farm 9:00 am

Lex arrived at the farm and pulled in the driveway and got out he looked up to the porch to see Lana coming out of the house as she was about descend the stairs she spotted him and froze in fear and put his hands up as he said "Lana I am hear to apologize about what happened and to see how Clark is doing. "Lana sighed as she walked down the steps and said "Lex look I know you were really upset and drunk that night but Clark is still mourning and I think you being here will only set him off with rage." As she finished Clark had come from the field's and if looks could kill Lex would be dead right now Clark run over to Lana's side and said, "Lex I told you not to talk her anymore." Lana grabbed Clark's hand and squeezed knowing that if Clark wanted to he could rip Lex into Lana's hand in his he took a breath and said " Lex what do you want I have more important things to then to fight with you." Lex stood their a moment just looking at them he finally spoke when he said " Clark I came here to apologize for that night I was upset about losing the election so I got a little too drunk and said something's that I shouldn't have and for that I am sorry but Clark you are my best friend and I wanna fix our friendship know matter what it takes to do so." Clark looked down to Lana and sighed as he knew to keep her safe he needed to keep an eye on Lex so He put out his hand and said " Okay Lex but no more thinking I have some type of powers I am just a normal farm boy but Lex I don't trust you and you are going to need to earn my trust back and just know I am doing this for Lana not you." Lex shook Clark's hand and said, " Clark I am sorry about your dad and like I said I will do anything to earn your friendship back."

Clark nodded and put a small smile on his face which Lana could tell was completely fake and she knew Clark wanted Lex to leave so spoke up and said " Well Lex we have a lot to do around the farm today so we should get back to it." Lex smiled back at the two and said, " Of course oh! and before I forget congratulations on the engagement I happy for you too." He then walked to his car got in and speeded off. Lana turned Clark around to so they could be face to face as she said " Clark you okay? I know how hard that was for you." Clark frowned down at her as he said, "I think Lex knows something about me." Lana put her hands on his cheeks and said " Clark if he does know about you we will get threw it together besides your just a normal farm boy who would believe him about you being from another planet they will think he is crazy." Clark smiled his trademark smile he then leaned in and kissed Lana with so much passion she felt as if she was in heaven and when the two finally pulled away Clark said " Lana baby I am so sorry I didn't tell you all these years I was just scared what you would think and I promise to never keep anything from you again because I love you so much and you being here with me means the world to me." Lana had tears in her eyes which Clark wiped away with his thumb as Lana said "Clark I could never judge you for being from a another planet because without you I am missing my other half and I waited so long for you tell me you loved me and the day you did it's was the best day of my live. I love you Honey so much and I can't wait to be Mrs. Clark Kent." hearing Lana say all that made Clark the happiest he has been since Jonathan died and he knew that with Lana by his side everything would be okay because even if Lex did know his secret they would face him together. Little died they know Lex wasn't the biggest threat in Smallville.

Daily Planet 12:00 pm

After Spending the morning watching Clark do his chores around the farm Lana decide to go see if Chloe wanted to ask for a favour and catch up she walked into the Planet and instantly spotted Chloe at her desk she walked over to the desk and said "Hey Chloe." Chloe looked up from her computer and smiled at her best friend as she said "Lana hey how have you been you haven't been back to the dorm's since died by the way how is Clark? I haven't really seen him since that night." Lana leaned on the desk and as she sighed she said "He is as good can be expected you know how Close him and were." Chloe frowned as she did know how close Clark was with his dad but she was dying to ask about how she was doing with Clark being from Krypton so she said " Yeah I know but I know you will help threw it the way how are you doing with Clark's Secret ?" Lana smiled as she thought about her fiancé and how much she loved him. She answered Chloe's question by saying "Honestly Chole Him being from another planet doesn't matter to me at all he is the same old Clark Kent to me, but I came here to ask you a favour." Chloe motioned for Lana to continue which She did by saying " So Clark think's Lex knows about him so I was wondering if you could maybe hack into Luthor Corp and see if their is anything about Clark in his flies ?" Chloe shocked by this information quickly nodded as she said, "Of course Lana if Lex knows about Clark then honestly we could all be in danger who knows what that psycho would do with Clark's secret." Lana knew Chloe was right but she was more worried about Clark because if Lex knew his secret then he most definitely knew that kryptonite was his weakness and from what Clark told her it can kill him and She wouldn't know what to do without sat in her chair watching who had a look of fear on her face She reached and put a hand on her friends arm and said " Lana you don't have to worry Clark would never let anyone hurt you as matter a fact Clark would die protecting you. "Lana still with same look on her face softly said, " That's what I'm worried about Chloe if Lex knows about Clark then he knows about kryptonite which Clark told me can kill him." Chloe got up from her chair and hugged Lana after quickly texting Clark to come to the planet. Lana hugged her friend back while crying and saying " I can't lose him Chloe I already have to many times and I can't do it Again." from behind her Lana heard the all familiar voice say " You never will lose baby Even if Lex knows about kryptonite we will find a way to stop him." Lana spun around so quickly practically jumped into her fiancé's arm and wrapped her arm's around his neck and Clark wrapped his around waist and kissed her forehead he nodded to Chloe and whispered in Lana's ear saying " Come on let's go home and we can cuddle up on the couch and watch all the click flicks you want." This made Lana smile as Clark led her to the door she waved to Chloe and the two left the building once they were outside Clark picked Lana up bridal style and said " Hold on tight beautiful and he sped off into full super speed and they were home in second's. They went inside and Cuddled up on the couch for the rest of the day watching movies enjoying the peace that they had for now.

Luthor Mansion 2:00 pm

Lex sat in his desk looking at his laptop which show video footage of Clark walking threw a fire like it was nothing and then Carry Lana out of the fire and Clark was completely unharmed. What are you Clark Kent? Lex thought as replayed the footage for the remainder of the day trying to figure out how Clark could do that and be unharmed. He knew there was something different about Clark and He would do anything to found out what Clark really is.
