"Close the door" Kate told Kevin.

The man quickly did this and sat in a free chair in the conference room. In front of him and Beckett sat a low man who was looking for notes in his bag. He had short dark hair and a two-day beard. If it wasn't the fashionable suit you might think that he just got out of bed.

"Do you trust him?" The man asked, pointing his head at Kevin.

"Yes" Kate replied without hesitation. "What do you have for us, Zack?"

Zack Hoover was a psychologist who was working in the FBI. Beckett met him during a brief episode of work in Washington. He specialized in profiling criminals. Now, as part of a friendly favor, he was to present a profile of "their" criminal.

"From what I see, your suspects are random. It might as well be one of you. The evidence is that everyone can match them. Did you know beforehand what you were going to do at the time of that murder? I mean, did you know that Detective Esposito would be filling out reports or that Mr. Castle would be home?"

"No, we basically learned fifteen minutes earlier that we would be making arrests and, consequently, that we would be doing interrogation for earlier case." Kate answered.

"So as I expected … You might as well have been in custody. But to the point. The person responsible is clever and has planned it in advance. In addition, I believe that he had to be involved in the investigation. This would explain that he knew your code to retrieve the weapon. He probably also gave a leak to the media to make a fuss. He sent the body back so that nothing could lead to him. In my opinion, this person is now trying to be invisible."

"Do you think that he is still here?" Kevin for the first time joined the conversation.

"That's almost certain. Until no one hears the accusations, he must keep his finger on the pulse."

"You keep saying it's him" Kate said, breaking away from writing notes. "Are you sure our killer is a man?"

"No, I say this because I don't want to repeat him or her all the time …" Zack smiled. "By the way… I heard that you finally get married."

Beckett replied with a smile.

"Congratulations. And now I apologizes very much to you, but I have to go back to Washington." He started collecting his papers from the table and put them in a briefcase.

Meeting a psychologist gave the policewoman a second thought. Now she began to look at this investigation from a different angle. As they left the conference room, she looked at the entire neighborhood. According to her, someone behind this should do everything to find out what they are talking about. Or at least the face should reveal that he is concerned about something. However, all the uniforms who were nearby seemed busy with work. Taking the next steps towards her desk, she ran into Keen. On his face you could see the confusion combined with agitation.

"You had a meeting" He said in an accusatory tone. "After all, I had to work with you in everything."

"We didn't have time to notify you. "Kate said as calmly as she could. "I don't know if you know, but we work here and we don't have time to chase down some young people who sometimes work with us and sometimes don't."

"What do you mean they sometimes work and sometimes they don't? I work with you all the time."

"But I don't see that… Maybe now my team is a little smaller, but still working at high speed."

"Do you have a new case?" He asked, and in his voice you could hear curiosity.

"No, we are constantly working on the same, but the fact that someone has been arrested does not make us free. You would know if you worked with us."

The man walked away without a word. His reaction made Kate think. He appeared three days before Ian's body was found under the pretext of investigating how the team works. At first he asked questions about how they work together, how long they work in this composition and whether or not they are bothered that the head of this group is a woman. Later, he was more interested in the way they conducted the investigation. By the time they made their arrests, he seemed to have retreated into the shadows. In theory, they saw him all the time, but they didn't cooperate as closely as before.

In her head, she checked to see if Peter matched every point of Zack's profile. According to her, it was perfect. When she got home she wiped off a question mark from board and glued a photo of a psychologist. She decided not to hang him at the police station, because Keen could again move the suspicion away from him. Apart from the profile, nothing connected him to the crime. There was no clear motive, and access to weapons was also in question. It was also not known where he was at the time.

Kate stared at Peter's dark eyes as they watched her from the whiteboard. She thought how to approach him, so that he would admit everything himself, because only so far they could catch him. However, she swore to herself that if he really stands behind all this, she will be the one who will put him behind bars.
