Kate initiated Kevin into her plan.

"Are you sure it will work?" The detective asked when she had finished speaking.

"He swallowed the hook, so I think it worked. You saw how pale he was."

"Maybe he really went to the bathroom …"

"I don't want to interrupt you" said voice in the phone "but I have object in sight."

Beckett looked at Kevin by I-told-you-so sight. While Castle was giving them information on how Keen was moving, the cops were walking the same route at some distance. With constant remind to the writer that he was not to lean, they came to the place where the psychologist veered off the chosen route and entered the alley.

"I follow him" Rick said.

"NO!" the cops shouted almost simultaneously.

"If you go there, everything will go for nothing." Kevin added.

"Stick to the plan. You have to be invisible. We'll be in two minutes." Kate did her best to stop him.

"Okay …" the writer reluctantly agreed to withdraw. "I'll be in the store opposite.

After a while, the police officers were already at the scene. Rick told them exactly what Keen was doing. He described how he was looking for something between the garbage cans. How from under one of them took out an object wrapped in some material. At this point, Kate and Kevin entered the aisle. They have not yet pulled out their weapons, but they have already held one hand on the holster.

"Well, well. Look who we found here?" The Kate's voice echoed.

Surprised Peter jumped in a fear. He tried to hide behind his back the wrap he held in his hands.

"So that's your help" she continued.

"Oh, it's you" the psychologist tried to smile. "I inadvertently overheard your conversation. I thought I'm more useful in the field than at my desk. Unfortunately, I didn't find anyone here. There was no witness, too."

"What do have you in your hands?"

"I found it here."

Kate nodded at a colleague. Kevin put on his gloves and took Keen's wrap. Gently moved away the material. A pistol appeared to their eye.

"Is this our murder weapon?" Kate asked.

"I'm 90% sure" Kevin replied. "There's even a tag from the archive."

"I'm only wondering one thing" Beckett said to Peter. "How did you know where to look for weapon?"

"You gave the address during the conversation" in the voice of the psychologist you could feel the uncertainty.

"Did I?"

"I don't think so" Kevin replied.

"Me too. So how Peter knew where this weapon was?"

"The only explanation is that he hid it here."

"So you suggest that he is responsible for Ian's murder."

"They have yet to confirm the fingerprints that we will definitely find on the weapon."

Detectives talked to each other as if Peter wasn't there. Their story portrayed a psychologist as the culprit. Keen clearly wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. On three sides, however, he was surrounded by high walls, and the only way to escape was cut off by police officers. He could only wait for the situation to develop.

"Okay, you convinced me" Kate finally said pulling handcuffs. "Peter Keen, you're under arrest for murder of Ian Whitemore."
