That night at the doctor's office and afterwards was such a mess. All they did was immerse themselves in each other's touch to distract from the issue at hand once everything got too intense, nothing was resolved. Especially since Boruto had left for two weeks for a mission the following morning after. At least it had given them both needed space to sort through their respective thoughts. But what good was that, when their perspectives regarding the pregnancy clearly differ from one another too greatly. Plus time was already running out. The days had passed and tonight he would return home, and she still had no idea how, or even if they could come to some sort of resolution that would keep them united, and that left her desperate.

So here she was, standing before a place that held so many memories of a much more simpler childlike time in her life. A heavy exhausted sigh past through her lips, puff of chilled air following after. She really missed those days...

Averting from her thoughts, Sarada gave three sound knocks upon the smooth cold surface of the front door and not a moment too soon, a familiar clicking sound was heard and the door swung wide open. Revealing a grinning beautiful older woman, pink hair tied up in a neat bun.

"Sarada! What a nice surprise!"

The young woman almost lost her balance as strong arms pulled her into the house with a powerful hug, one she returned with equal strength and warmth once she stabilized her footing.

"You've been a hard one to catch these days, you know!"

"Yeah...sorry about that mama. I've been pretty busy lately I know." Sarada acknowledged remorseful as she started to unwrap her arms from her mother's waist and step past her, further into the house.

she hunched down to undo her laces, then she'd shaken off her boots, placing them onto the footwear rack positioned against the wall near the entryway. While her mother shut the door soundly behind them.

"It's fine. I understand." A hand waved off in the air. "You just want to stamp your mark as the indefinite choice for the eighth hokage candidate. Besides you're my brilliant ambitious daughter, it's only like you." Her mother reassured with a wink and kind smile.

"Thanks mama." Sarada returned, the corners of her lips arching upward in an appreciative grin.

"Now come on, let's get settled in the kitchen. Lucky for you I had just finished brewing some black tea."

The pair made their way out of the hallway and moved along. A sweet floral scent lingering in the vicinity of their destination.

Sarada went straight to the dinning table as her mother went behind the counter top to fix them both cups of the beverage.

Pulling out a chair, and smoothing down her skirt, to properly seat herself. Sarada laid her hands on her lap, one hand encircled the other's wrist, thumb moving in a up and down rhythm upon it.

A few seconds passed until her mother placed the teacup in front of her and placed her own facing the seat opposite across from her daughter's before finally seating herself.

A tearing sound soon filled the silence in the air, the pink haired beauty lightly shook sugar out of a small packet, sprinkling into her tea.

Sarada watched as her mother started to spin her drink in a fluid motion while she urge herself to gain the nerve to bring fourth her uncomfortable issues. Clutching her cup, bringing it close to her lips, sipping a good amount. Enough to swallow down the lump within her throat and finally spoke up.

"Mama, I can talk to you about anything right?"

Concerned Jade eyes lifted toward solemn dark ones.

"Of course, what is it?"

"Well..." Sarada sucked in some air for a moment, then pushed it out through words in a taut voice. "Mama have you ever had a disagreement with papa?"

The stirring came to a halt from the woman in question. Noticing the nerves her child was failing to hide.

"Yes...we have over the years. But it's only natural for people to disagree from time to time."

"Right...but say you believed something was the right thing to do." Unclasping her hand from her wrist, Sarada started to use her index finger to tear into the skin alongside her thumb nail. "But your husband believes otherwise...so much so, that in his eyes it's the worse thing to do."

Realization set into Sakura's head, so Sarada and Boruto were at a crossroads.

"How do you figure out what is the actual right thing to do? Which choice guarantees you'll stay together?

Noticing her child's lack of strength in her voice, Sakura reached out to brush some fallen stray black hair out of her face.

"You can't."

A heavy whoosh speed through Sarada's chest.

Sakura catching the fear in her child's demeanor, quickly continued her thoughts.

"What I mean is, sometimes hurting the ones we love with the choices we make is inevitable."

"That's just it mama, I don't wanna hurt him to the point that I'll lose him."

"Sarada, you compromising your true feelings are not going to help. That will only lead to resentment."

"Yeah...you're right...I've just been too scared to confront this and it caused me to question my resolve."

"Oh Sarada." Sakura pulled her daughter close to her chest. "Whatever it is, you cannot avoid it forever."

"Sometimes you just have to accept things for what they are. We can't predict the complete outcome, though we can try and sometimes that's enough."

"But what if it's not enough?"

"You won't know unless you try, Sarada."

Boruto had finally retuned home, and now they were finally going to discuss what they both have been steering clear of. So here they were in their living room, face to face. Sitting at a distance from each other on their leather black couch.

Blue eyes, held a mixture of sadness & fear, no different from the dark ones they were staring into. The pair both silent, going over their own respective thoughts of how they were to say what they needed, to the other.

"I took the time I could to think things over." Sarada said breaking the silent tension within the room.

"Me too." Boruto replied hasty, twiddling with his thumbs.

Blue eyes drifted off to the side, lips pressed in a tight line. Voice hoarse with an ache pitting in his throat. "I just...I didn't want to hear the truth at that time. Though its no excuse. I masked your true feelings and only heard what I wanted to hear and that was wrong."

Sarada nodded her head in agreement.

"You doing that...along with the doctor being so biased. I felt so pressured, you know."

Boruto bowed his head in shame. A few seconds later, lifted his head back up & brought his gaze from the side, forward into her eyes, brimming with remorse.

"I'm sorry for not listening to you, for not understanding what you actually needed in that moment."

onyx eyes glisten ever greatly with appreciation. "I forgive you." A light smile following cherished brittle spoken words.

Lips arch up into a grateful smile in return.

"Boruto, it hasn't escaped my mind that the abortion will hurt you and for that I am still sorry." The young woman stated, lips drawn into a thin line.

"Yeah It will.." Pain dwelled in his eyes, a moment of a mourning yet to come. While Sarada's shimmered in sympathy, not ceasing the silence in respect.

Suddenly she felt a coarse palm upon her cheek. "But I respect and know that's what you need to do." The young man affirmed gazing intently into her eyes.

An appreciative smile flash upon her face and then a heavy sign followed. "I don't expect you to show up to the clinic...but if you do...it would mean something."

And to her that something was everything. It would mean hope for them.

Boruto simply scooted closer to her and pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly, fingers gently yet desperately grasping onto her sides and burying his face into her shoulder and mumbled softly. "I'll be there."

Sarada wrapped her arms just as tight around his waist. Feeling the missed familiarity of unruly soft blonde hair tickling the side of her jaw, his natural scent filling into her nose. The wetness sliding down his checks, soaking into her shirt. Equally basking in the longed comfort from his hold, as he to her warmth.

Yes they still had different views about the abortion and although there was no guarantee that they would get through this. What matters most is now, he was going to try and she was as well. They hadn't ran from the the truth of the situation, they were finally facing this predicament together unlike before. so there was hope and that was indeed enough.
