(A/N: I have returned with a sequel for The Reindeer King since a sequel was requested. I believe my Kristelsa stories were definitely a hit so we will be exploring what happens with the two following the ending of The Reindeer King. If you are new to my stories, I highly recommend you read The Reindeer King first before you read this story. Otherwise, you're going to get lost.)

CHAPTER ONE: RECONCILIATION

Anna was Queen of Arendelle. Has been for a few years since Elsa abdicated the throne to be with the love of her life. It still felt new to Anna. She went through training to help Elsa while she ruled so she was competent. She loved her people and did everything to measure up to the empty role Elsa entrusted to her. She often secretly walked among her people and felt discouraged when she overheard people wishing Elsa was still Queen. She didn't blame them. Elsa was born for the throne and knew how to hold the hearts of the people with her icy magic.

Anna sat in the library in her father's large chair. She remembered father reading to her from his old fairy tale books when she was little while the fireplace burned bright before them. She would sit on her father's lap while he held the book in front of them and softly read to her and she would become captivated by the story and constantly ask questions. After their parents passed away and Elsa took on the throne, Anna would often find her sitting in their father's chair. She once told Anna she was terrified of leading Arendelle and would often come to be with Father, insisting that his presence still lingered in that chair and she found comfort in the memories she had of him. Anna tried to do the same. What would Elsa and Father do? Elsa. Father. Please tell me what to do.

King Hans entered, following Kai who informed him that Queen Anna appeared troubled. He smiled at Anna as she stared into the empty fireplace, completely unaware he was there. He silently approached his wife and knelt by her, gently taking her hand. This made Anna jump slightly, startled which made Hans chuckle lightly and get a look from his wife. "Oh, Hans. It's you."

Hans smiled and arched his eyebrow, "Who else did you expect?"

Elsa. Anna tried to answer but stopped and looked away. Elsa left with Kristoff just yesterday, but Anna missed her something terribly.

Hans knew it and drew close to her, "Elsa will be back. She has Kristoff and her daughter looking out for her."

"I know," Anna replied hesitantly, still uneasy. Far too often she struggled with the urge to go after Elsa. They've been separated before but they always shared the same roof. This was different. Elsa went to a place she can't follow since the throne and the responsibility that came with it kept her anchored in Arendelle.

Hans looked at Anna with concern. He understood her anxiety of being apart from Elsa perfectly. She needs something to get her mind off of Elsa. A smile came across his face before lifted Anna into his arms and sat down in the chair with her on his lap.

"Hans! What are you-?" Anna asked, startled but Hans' lips boldly pressed against her's. They have been so busy with royal duties that they haven't shared some intimate time alone. Hans was amazing, bearing a lot of the duties, knowing Anna was distracted and Anna loved him for that, but now wasn't the time. She tried to pull away, "Hans, not now. What if someone sees us?"

Hans rose from the chair and carried her to the curtains and wrapped the long red curtains to conceal them. He and Anna were so close that Anna was captivated by his scent and warmth. Her heart quickened when he smiled that smile and slowly drew closer and whispered, "There. We're hidden. What other excuses do you have to avoid me, my love?"

"I- I don't-I don't know what you mean," Anna denied, avoiding his hungry gaze.

He leaned in and whispered in her ear as his other hand stroke her neck and behind her ear. "Yes. Yes, you do. I covered for you because you missed Elsa and you weren't present. Whenever I tried to spend some alone time with you, you always had an excuse."

"No, I don't," Anna replied defensively and tried to leave but Hans's hand blocked her on both sides.

"I'm still KING, Queen Anna," Hans said.

Anna smiled at his boldness, "Are you…asserting your authority over me, Southern boy?"

Hans smiled before Anna kissed his lips and allowed herself to lose herself in him. Their hunger for one another increased dramatically as Hans pinned her wrists to the wall and kissed her neck. She got free and began to unbutton his royal clothing.

Kai entered with news, but couldn't find them. He went over by the chair and looked around the room. He heard noices, then noticed the curtains moving, Hans's and Anna's feet were exposed at the bottom of the curtains. Kai became embarrassed when Hans's top fell by their feet. Kai cleared his throat to announce his presence.

"Someone's here."

"I think it's Kai. I'd recognize that sound anywhere," Anna whispered behind the curtain, which made Kai smile slightly.

"It is Kai, Your Majesties. You have guests…from the Southern Isles," Kai reported.

Kai tried not to stare when Hans and Anna came out from behind the curtain. Both were in a state of undress. Hans's hair was messed up, shirtless, covered with the Queen's strawberry lipstick on his face, neck and body. Anna's hair was undone and her blouse was ripped slightly.

"You said the Southern Isles?" King Hans asked, to make sure he heard right.

"Yes, my lord," Kai replied, "It's your parents and brothers. They're waiting for you in the Royal Gardens. They…couldn't enter."

"Can't enter?" Anna was confused.

Hans looked at her and she remembered. His brothers and father were cruel to him. Only his mother and one of his brothers, Lars, treated him right. "I'll go meet with them immediately then."

"Uh, Hans?" Anna called after him.

Hans looked at Anna, "Yes, Anna?"

She giggled as her eyes took in his current state of dress. "I don't think it would be appropriate to visit your family in such a manner."

"Oh," Hans chuckled as Anna and Kai helped both get more presentable.

As they approached the Royal Gardens, Hans began to shake fearfully as the memories of his father and brothers returned. Anna took his hand and gave him an encouraging smile. Finally, the two stopped when they saw Hans's family all gathered. Anna was about to follow Hans but his hand halted her protectively.

"Stay here," he said before approaching his family. His mother and brother Lars approached him and hugged him. When Hans looked at his other brothers, they all bowed to him. "No please. Don't bow to me."

They looked at one another confused before slowly rising to their feet. Hans turned to his mother, "Where's father?"

His mother pointed deeper into the garden and Hans went. His mother noticed Anna and smiled as she approached the young Queen, "So you must be the beautiful young woman my son has been writing to me so much about."

Anna blushed, "Me? He wrote-? What did he say?" Anna asked embarrassed.

"Only good things," Hans's mother laughed. "I'm just happy he found someone who loves him as much as I."

Anna smiled.

Hans walked to the center of the gardens where a statue of King Runeard and Queen Rita stood. The statues portrayed them in a romantic embrace. His father turned when he heard him approaching. He and Hans just stared at each other until Hans hugged his father, which startled him and he patted Hans's back. Hans looked up at his father and smiled, "Welcome, to Arendelle, Father."

Far north, Kristoff continued to steer the wagon north. That's where Elsa told him the voice was drawing her. Kristoff would be lying if he wasn't concerned about this. Following a voice only Elsa could hear. Some husbands would leave their wives or have them committed, but Kristoff wasn't like most men. He chose to give his wife the benefit of the doubt and hear her side, because Elsa was his wife, she had magic and could feel something inside and knew beyond the shadow of the doubt that it was important. Still, something about all this made him worry for his family.

Kristoff glanced and watched with a smile as Elsa's head kept dropping as she struggled to stay awake. She sat close to him so he wrapped his arm around his wife, which made her look back at him with a smile, "You should get some rest. You haven't slept since all this started."

Her smile faded and she shook her head slightly, "I can't. We'll get lost if I don't stay awake."

Kristoff pulled her closer so that her head was laying on his lap, "At least rest your head. Okay?"

Elsa nodded with her eyes on Sven's antlers. Kristoff kept one arm around Elsa and another on the reins. He stroked her cheek and watched her. Her eyes were getting heavy. Please go to sleep. You need to rest, Elsa. She was so beautiful when she slept. It was so captivating. "You're so beautiful," he muttered softly.

Elsa smiled and moved onto her back so she could look up at Kristoff, who turned red, "I said that out loud, didn't I?"

"Mm-Hmm," Elsa replied after reaching up and touching her face.

"You're supposed to fall asleep. Not eavesdrop on me," Kristoff said.

"How can I…after my handsome husband said something so sweet?" Elsa asked.

Kristoff smiled, "Easy, like this." He quickly closed her eye lids and covered them with his hand. "Go to sleep!"

"Kristoff," Elsa giggled under his hand and tried to move it but Kristoff kept covering her eyes.

The two jumped when their daughter began to whimper in her sleep. Elsa got in the back of the wagon where their daughter, Gerda, slept. Gerda was having a nightmare and Elsa was quick to react as a mother and comforted her. Kristoff glanced back at them, "How is she?"

"Better," Elsa smiled. She noticed something moving under the blanket, she moved it and Olaf popped out. "OLAF!"

Olaf greeted everyone, "Hi, everyone!"

Gerda woke up and excitedly hugged the snowman.

"What are you doing here?" Elsa asked.

"Anna had me secretly sneak into the back of the wagon right before you left. She was worried about you leaving Arendelle," Olaf explained.

Elsa smiled, "Of course she did."

Olaf climbed up front next to Kristoff. Something caught Elsa's eyes. She pulled back the blanket to find something sticking out of a wrapped bundle. She pulled it out and saw it was the hilt of an Arendellean sword. She quickly covered it so Gerda wouldn't play with it and eyed Kristoff with concern. Kristoff was laughing and talking with Olaf. They always got along perfectly.

It was getting dark, so Kristoff pulled over into a flat clearing so they could set up camp. Gerda turned in Elsa's arms, "Mama? Can I play with Olaf?"

Elsa nodded and Gerda quickly hopped off the wagon with Olaf and ran away. Elsa quickly stood and called, "Olaf! Don't wander too far!"

"Okay, Elsa!" the snowman yelled back. He and Gerda stayed within view and played tag.

Kristoff started unloading the camping gear and noticed Elsa looking down on him from up on the wagon. He smiled and asked jokingly, "Am I in trouble, my Queen?"

Elsa looked away briefly then back at him with concern, but shrugged it off with a forced smile, "It's nothing." She stepped down from the wagon with a helping hand from Kristoff before going to Gerda to stay near her. Kristoff knew Elsa too well. Something was up. He raised the blanket covering other gear to grab something and his heart stopped when he noticed the hilt had been pulled out some from the bundle. He grabbed into to push it back in to better conceal it. He noticed a part of the handle felt strangely cold. He glanced over at Elsa who was creating flurries for Gerda and Olaf. Did she find it?

Since Elsa was an expert at camping, which Kristoff discovered when they camped on the beach, Elsa volunteered to get the tent ready and Kristoff went to get wood for a fire. His mind wondered to the sword, his fears and the possibility that Elsa knew. I need to tell her.
