Trick Tower Phase 3 of the Exam

Majitani grabbed his cloak and tore it off revealing a grotesque body. He was shirtless like Kisune, his skin was a light purple, he was very muscular having 6-pack abs, while his arms and legs were bigger than his head, the top part of his head was missing a steel plate in its place while brown hair surrounded the steel plate, his right eye had no eye lids at all while his left was so swollen only his pupil could be seen from it, he had surgery scars all over his face while his nose was missing leaving only a hole, his right ear was cut up while his left was gone, replaced with some kind of electronic device and wires, and on his left pectoral were 19 tattoos of little hearts. Majitani then roared loudly as he showed off his altered body to Kurapika, hoping that just his looks alone were enough to make him give up. Majitani cackled as he stared at Kurapika thinking he had this fight in the bag. Leorio freaked out by the prisoner's appearance said "Man, that is one freaky body." Killua added his two-cents by saying "Yeah. And face." Kurapika just stared calmly at his opponent while Majitani began to speak while pointing at his tattoo's "Do ya see this, kid? I've killed nineteen people so far. But it's such an uneven number. To tell the truth, it kinda bugs me. I've been lookin forward to meeting number twenty for a while." he finished with a glare while laughing evilly. Leorio frustrated at their groups luck shouted "Oh, come on! First a cannibal now a serial killer! give us a break already!"

Majitani then began speaking again "The only way I'll do this is if we put our lives on the line. It's all or nothin', do you hear me, brat? Gimme blood! Spilling entrails! And sweet agony!" he then roared in laughter. Majitani was internally congratulating himself thinking his mind games had affected Kurapika. However, Kurapika surprised him by calmly replying "Very well." Majitani paused and said "Huh?" Kurapika then continued speaking "You can decide how we settle this. And I will accept it." Majitani just chuckled and said "You got some balls, kid!" however, Majitani was thinking in his head "But I know your quaking in your boots. How long can you keep up the tough guy act?" He then said aloud "Then you're accepting a death match. We go until one of us either dies or admits defeat, and not a second earlier, understand? However...Don't think admitting defeat or surrender will stop me. Never has and, in fact, it never will, so get it out of your head right now." he then laughed manically while pointing at Kurapika. Majitani thinking he got to Kurapika began thinking to himself "Well? Scared stiff now, aren't ya?" Kurapika However, still showed he was unaffected by Majitani's scare tactics and calmly replied "Fine. I accept" surprising him once again. Kurapika then grasped his tabard and took it off in one swift-motion revealing his white outfit underneath. Kurapika then calmly asked "Shall we begin?" Majitani completely baffled at Kurapika thought to himself "What is he, an idiot? Didn't he hear what I just said? This is the real deal. We're fighting to the death! Wait he should be trembling just at the site of me!" He then spoke aloud while holding his hand up in the stop motion "Hold on! There's something I forgot to mention. Absolutely no weapons are allowed. So, this has to be a simple fistfight. Even though I've been hired as an Examiner, I am still a prisoner. And that means that I'm not allowed to carry weapons."

Kurapika in a normal stance said "That makes sense. I understand." Kurapika then reached behind himself with his left hand and pulled out his wooden swords then placed them on his tabard. Kurapika with his hand held out he calmly asked "Is there anything else you forgot? If not, I'd like to get started." Majitani just grunted while inwardly he was panicking a little while sweating and thought "That little bastard! He had a concealed weapon. I'm glad I said something before it was too late. But from the look of it he doesn't rely on it much. Is he really that confident in his combat skills? No. I don't think that's it, either." He then made a dismissive snort and continued to think "I bet he's dying to run away but he doesn't want to look like a coward in front of his friends. Or maybe he's just stupid that he doesn't comprehend how scary I am! He can't even wrap his head around it! Yeah! Yeah, yeah, that's got to be it!" Majitani then smirked evilly and then he inhaled deeply before his whole body began flexing as he started to grunt in effort. Leorio concerned for Kurapika's saftey said "Hey, guys. Is Kurapika gonna be okay?" Ferev just yawned while placing a hand to his mouth to block the yawn and calmly said "Yeah he's gonna be fine." Leorio a little ticked off at Ferev's attitude glared at him and shouted "What's with your attitude! Can't you see Kurapika's fighting for his life here!"

Ferev stuck his pinky in his ear to clear his hearing before saying "There's no need to shout. Killua, can you explain to Leorio what you and I already know." Leorio surprised at Ferev's response looked towards Killua. Killua who had his arms behind his head put them down while looking at Ferev and Leorio then thought "So, he sees it too." Killua then pointed at Majitani while still glancing at Leorio and Ferev "That purple guy over there, he's nothing but all talk. He couldn't even squash a bug." Leorio's eyes widened at Killua's statement before he then looked towards Ferev now understanding why Ferev was so calm and lowered his head in slight shame for lashing out saying a quick "sorry." but Ferev suddenly patted Leorio on the back saying "It's fine I probably would have been upset too in your position." Leorio smiled slightly before his gaze hardened and they both brought their attention back to Kurapika's fight.

Back on the platform Majitani began to speak as he continued to flex "I think it's time I showed you my secret weapon!" he then roared and launched himself high in the air his right fist posed to strike. From the air he shouted "The first of many!" he then roared again as his fist collided with the spot Kurapika once stood. Kurapika himself was able to dodge out of the way in time but had to brings his arms up to block the debris from Majitani's hit. Majitani's fist was embedded in the platform floor before he took it out leaving a fit sized hole in the platform. Kurapika landed in a half crouch with a determined look on his face as he put his arms down. Majitani just smiled evilly while looking at Kurapika his fist raised to his mouth and for even more dramatic effect he even licked the dirt from his fist while thinking to himself "That was perfect. And that's not the only trick up my sleeve." Majitani then purposely turned around to show off another tattoo he had on his back and what Kurapika saw made his blood boil.

On Majitani's back was a tattoo of a spider with twelve legs and the spider's body was shaped to resemble a skull. Ferev's eyes widened Instantly, recognizing the symbolism of the tattoo and said "No way. I recognize that tattoo. He can't possibly be a member." everyone looked towards Ferev as he explained "Anybody who wants to be a Hunter knows what that tattoo symbolizes. It's only worn by members of a notorious band of thieves who kill without discrimination. The Phantom Troupe." Gon still being a child asked while looking at Leorio "Really?" Leorio still looking at the purple prisoner in shock replied with "Yeah. No doubt about it. It's meaning is widely known. In fact, I- I heard about them straight from Kurapika." Majitani thinking his plan went perfectly began thinking to himself "Between the steel implants in my hand that can shatter rocks and the symbol of the Phantom Troupe... They make one hell of a combo. Nobody would want to fight me after a peek at those!" Majitani then faced Kurapika again and began gloating while Kurapika stood up with his hair shadowing his eyes and his fists clenched. "Aw, what's wrong? Cat got your tongue? Name's Majitani! I'm one of the Phantom Troupes four devas! If you wann gi-" he was cut off when he saw how Kurapika looked at him and he got really scared.

Back with Ferev and the others he was starting to connect the dots about Kurapika and when he looked back at Kurapika what he saw confirmed his suspicions. Kurapika was breathing heavy his breathing echoing in the room but what really had Ferev and Majitani surprised and scared was that Kurapika's eyes had turned into a deep scarlet. Majitani frightened started saying "Hey... What's wrong with you? What are you...?" suddenly Majitani gasped in shock because Kurapika had disappeared. Ferev seeing where this was going had a few simple words that summed up the situation "Majitani fucked up." before Majitani could even move Kurapika grabbed him by his face with his left hand lifting him off the ground with his feet dangling, his scarlet eyes glaring with hatred while he clenched his right fist. Majitani seeing where this was headed was going to speak but his mouth was muffled by Kurapika's grip but still he tried saying "Wait! Wait, I get it! Hold on, wait! Please don't! You win, okay?" Kurapika was having none of it though as his right fist collided with Majitani's face his head making a crater in the stone floor but that wasn't the last of it, Kurapika had hit him so hard he actually bounced twice before rolling to a stop face first by the edge of the platform.

Everyone except Ferev and Killua gasped in shock at the power of Kurapika's punch Killua whistling at the impressive feat. Kurapika who was still in the middle of the platform spoke in a low but cold tone as if Majitani could still hear him "Take this to heart. First, A genuine Phantom Troupe tattoo has the member's number inscribed on the spider's back. Second, they don't bother tallying the people they've killed because it's irrelevant to them. And third, don't ever mention the Phantom troupe to me again. If you do..." Kurapika then looked towards Majitani's body his eyes still a deep scarlet "I will kill you with my bare hands." he finished Everyone in the room save for Ferev and Killua were in utter shock at Kurapika's behavior, the applicants were shocked because this was far from his pacifistic nature and the prisoners were shocked because they never expected such strength and coldness from a kid.

The bridge that connected Kurapika's group to the platform came out and Kurapika grabbed his tabard and swords before heading back to his group. While he was walking across the bridge Leorio asked him "Hey, are you okay?" Kurapika said with an agitated tone "Yes. I'm not injured." Leorio not meaning physically okay clarified "No, I mean, is it safe for us to be around you right now?" Kurapika placed his left hand to his face as he spoke "from the moment I saw him, I knew he wasn't nearly as powerful as he looked." Leorio leaned down to see Kurapika's face while Gon just looked up both trying to see if his eyes were still scarlet. However, they had turned back to their usual brown. Kurapika then continued speaking "And in my mind, I knew right from the start that the tattoo was a fake. But as soon as I saw that spider, my vision went red." he finished with a sad and dejected look. Ferev stepped forward saying "Nobody will fault you for that, I should know I'm the expert at losing his cool." Ferev then pointed at himself with his thumb and a smirk. Despite Ferev trying to ease Kurapika's tension Kurapika said "To be perfectly honest..." everyone then said "Huh?" before Kurapika continued with his eyes closed "Whenever I see a spider, any spider, all my rationality collapses and I turn primal." everyone had uneasy looks on their faces except for Killua who had a coy smirk on his face. Leorio then said "You should've told us. Like a long time ago." Ferev frowned at that and said "His business is his own, if he chooses to not give us his backstory that's his choice." Kurapika looked slightly grateful at Ferev's words before sighing and walking over to the inner left wall and slid down to sit on the floor. As Kurapika was sitting down he said "That can only mean one thing. The rage inside me remains as strong as ever. I suppose... I should be happy." Kurapika finished with his arms folded on his knees and his head tucked into his arms to hide his face. Gon seeing Kurapika in such a state leaned up towards Ferev and Leorio and whispered with a hand to his mouth "I think we ought to keep Kurapika away from any spiders, from now on." Leorio replied with "Oh yeah." Ferev then replied with "Don't need to tell me twice."

Back with the prisoners the bald Prisoner who was referred to as Bendot was cursing Majitani for his stupidity of underestimating his opponent just because he was kid. "Damn you, Majitani. You were completely worthless out there." Bendot then clicked his tongue and looked away with his eyes closed and talked to the hooded prisoner next him. "Okay. You know what's happening, right? After three losses, it's do or die." he finished while looking at the hooded prisoner. A young and feminine voice replied with "I'll handle it. In fact, I know just the thing." a small gleam could seen from the slit in the prisoners hood as they walked forward towards the platform. Leorio tired of sitting on the sidelines stepped forward saying "All right! Time for me to secure our victory!" Leorio then pointed at the hooded prisoner with a determined look and said "Okay, it's time to end this." he then referred to Majitani on the floor and continued "Drag him off and send in your next contender." The hooded prisoner stepped forward stopping at the edge of the prisoner's side. While giggling the prisoner said "That's not possible." Leorio not believing what he was hearing he said "Wait, what?" The prisoner then began walking forward towards Majitani on the platform the bridge having started coming out just as the prisoner started walking, handcuffs and hooded cloak still on their person. As the prisoner was walking, he or she said "I said, I'm afraid we can't move him. His match isn't over yet." Leorio still standing on his group's side said in aggravation "I don't get it, how is the match not over? What are you talking about?"

The hooded prisoner approached Majitani's body and crouched down to check on him. The prisoner looked up and said "He's still alive, just unconscious." everyone then had stunned looks on their faces understanding the prisoner's implication. Also now realizing that a number 3 hadn't appeared on their group's side. The prisoner then continued his or her explanation "Oh, don't you remember? This was a fight to the death. One of them either had to die or admit defeat." The prisoner then stood back up and said "He's still alive and he hasn't surrendered." Ferev not taking this lightly yelled "That's a lie!" The prisoner shocked that someone would disagree questioned "I don't understand?" Ferev then uncrossed his arms and shouted once again "We heard him clear as day! He told Kurapika "You win okay?" does that ring a bell?" However, everyone just looked at Ferev strangely except for Gon and Kurapika. Leorio awkwardly commented to him "Ferev I didn't hear him say anything" Tonpa also chimed in saying "Me nether." Killua even said "I didn't hear anything." Ferev realizing his foul up cursed under his breath before crossing his arms again while yelling "Never mind." and then going silent while thinking to himself "I forgot that my hearing is better than most."

The prisoner just finding the man in the coat's outburst funny just began laughing as he or she headed back to their side of the room. Leorio pissed at this turn of events said "Talk about splitting hairs." Killua then added "Maybe, but you've got to admit she's right." Gon added his two-cents by saying "I'm with Killua." Leorio grumbled in frustration before saying "So, that's how it is, fine." Leorio then turned towards Kurapika saying "All right Kurapika! Get over there and put that loser out of his misery." Kurapika with his eyes closed and a frown said "I refuse." Leorio surprised at his answer yelled "Huh... What? What do you mean, refuse?" Kurapika opened his eyes but without looking at Leorio he replied "The fight was already over. It was clear to me by the time I punched him, he had already lost the will to fight. I will not continue fighting a loser." Ferev looked at Kurapika and said "I can respect that but you do realize your preventing the group from advancing right?" Kurapika just remained silent and closed his eyes. Leorio not happy with Kurapika's answer yelled "Seriously? What are we supposed to do? 'Cause those guys are claiming that the match hasn't even ended yet!" Kurapika still unmoving from his position stated "I'll leave that to him. He can decide his own fate just as soon as he revives." Ferev a little ticked off at Kurapika's attitude and lack of urgency angrily stated "Look, we are on a time-crunch here and like Lippo said their job is to literally buy time. So, while you sit there, you're putting the group at risk of failing by allowing that to happen. So, suck it up Kurapika! or I'll do it for you!" Kurapika angry at Ferev's statement Yelled while glaring at him "Go ahead then! I will not have his blood on my hands!" Ferev clicked his tongue before saying "Fine." and began walking towards the platform pulling his coat to the side and drawing his right revolver. However, before he could get to the bridge Lippo's voice came over the speaker again. "Did I forget to mention that if anybody besides the previous fighter and the current fighter are on the platform you will be immediately disqualified." Ferev getting a tick mark on his head just said "Fine, I don't need to be on the platform." he then took aim with his revolver aiming for Majitani's head. The prisoners gasped in shock thinking that Majitani was going to die but before Ferev could pull the trigger Lippo's voice spoke up again "And if any other applicant besides the current or previous fighter kills their opponent you will also be immediately disqualified." Ferev pissed off yelled at where the voice was coming from "You're just making this shit up as you go along!" Lippo's laughter was heard through the speaker before he said "My Phase of the exam, My rules." The speaker cut off once again. Ferev muttered out "Asshole." before putting his gun away and stood against the wall opposite Kurapika with his arms crossed and eyes closed.

After a few minutes of waiting Leorio shouted with his wrist timer held up "All right, that's it! Time for majority rule. Press O to kill the bastard or X to let him live. Ready, and..." Leorio then hit the button on the wrist timer but nothing appeared on the electric monitor connected to the wall. Leorio then yelled with his hands held out his eyes white from rage "Why in the hell isn't working?" Gon simply replied "I bet it's because we're the ones asking the question." Leorio then looked at Gon saying "Huh?" Killua spoke up from next to Gon and said "It looks like the timers only work for questions the examiners ask."Leorio closed his eyes and looked down at his own foolishness and said "I Should have known." he then spun around with his left hand in the air and shouted "Okay! We'll do it the old-fashioned way. Raise your hand if you think we should finish him!" He then raised his left hand while shouting "Me!" Leorio had his eyes closed a confident smirk on his face but as soon as he opened his eyes he gasped in shock because no one had raised their hand. Leorio voiced his outrage by turning towards Ferev saying "Who's side are you on? A minute ago, you were trying to get him to do it, just like I was. We're in this together. where's your team spirt?" Ferev just looked at Leorio from his spot and said "There's no point. Kurapika's made up his mind and as the examiner said none of us can do it for him. Unless you want to go over there and push him off the edge yourself?" Leorio took a step back and gasped at Ferev's suggestion. Ferev then commented "What? Not so easy is it? To take another human beings' life." Leorio angry at Ferev's hypocritical statement said with a glare "Says the guy who made his opponent's head explode." Ferev uncrossed his arms and said with a glare of his own "I made my peace with the reaper a long time ago and I've made more deals with the devil than I can count so I know when I have to do what needs to be done." Ferev then looked at Leorio harshly as if daring him to make a come-back.

Leorio done talking with Ferev looked towards Gon and said "Hey Gon, why don't you think we should kill the guy?" Gon replied with "I'm with Kurapika on this one. He was just about to surrender when he knocked him out." Gon then looked to Kurapika who was still sitting with his eyes closed then looked back to Leorio and said "We should wait for him to wake up." Leorio trying one last attempt to convince them said "but there's no telling how long that'll take. Maybe I should just do it." Tonpa was getting ready to open his mouth but before he could Ferev was right next to him with his fist raised, Tonpa instantly shut up, his comment forgotten. Leorio growled then yelled frustrated "Fine! If you wanna wait, then wait. Just see if I care." he finished with his eyes closed and his hands in his pockets while walking away towards the iron bars that stopped them from going back. He then crouched down while biting his thumbnail and began grumbling to himself. Gon looked at Leorio and said "awww he's sulking." Killua just looked away from him and said "Let's just leave him alone."

Killua and Gon then sat down waiting for Majitani to wake up. Tonpa however, was thinking to himself "Fools. Leorio's totally falling for it. The trap of majority rule. When six people who barely know each other, trying to decide on something, you'd think voting would be the easiest and most efficient way to do it. People tend to think that voting empowers the individual. But the truth is, it can just as easily turn the majority against the minority. When someone keeps finding themselves in the minority, his opinion is always rejected. His anger, alienation, and frustration make him resent and antagonize the group. Eventually, it tears the team apart. After all its everyone for themselves in the Hunter exam." Tonpa then laughed evilly to himself thinking about how the group members have already been fighting each other. Suddenly Ferev's cold voice broke him from his laughter as he asked "What are you laughing about old man?" Tonpa flinched and slowly turned to Ferev who was glaring at him with his left eye his other eye was shadowed by his hair. Tonpa awkwardly smiled and was sweating bullets again as he said "Nothing... nothing at all sir." he then went to a corner and sat down waiting for Majitani to wake up like the others. Over with the prisoners the skinny prisoner who was referred to as Sedokan commented "The atmosphere on the other side is pretty grim." The hooded prisoner just giggled at his statement.

About 8 hours had passed since everyone decided to wait for Majitani to wake up. Killua who had been sitting down with his eyes closed and arms behind his head suddenly stood up. Gon who had decided to stand about a half hour ago was standing near the edge watching closely for any sign of Majitani waking up. Killua walked over to Gon his hands in his pockets. When he was next to Gon he asked "What's up, Gon, is something wrong?" Gon replied with "Yeah." he then pointed at Majitani's unconscious form. Killua's eyes widened in realization saying "Oh, I see." Killua then approached Ferev and Leorio while saying "Hey... It's looking more and more like he's already dead." he then looked back towards Majitani. Ferev who had taken to sitting down cross-legged and meditating stood up and looked at Majitani as well while Leorio was laying down his hands behind his head and his eyes closed. He moved onto his hands and knees while asking "What do you mean?" Gon answered him with "Well, he's been lying there for a long time now and he hasn't moved or anything." Leorio realizing what Gon was saying Hurriedly got up and ran to the edge while saying "Damn it. It's impossible to tell from this far away." Leorio then placed his hand to his mouth and shouted "Hey you, we want to go over there and check his body." The Hooded prisoner walked forward asking "What was that?" Leorio then shouted back "He might be dead already and we just want to see it for ourselves." he finished while raising and lowering his left arm in a dramatic wave. The hooded prisoner simply replied "It's like I told you before, he's only unconscious." Leorio skeptical of the prisoner's response replied "Yeah? Well how many hours do you think we've been here? You think we're just going to take your word for it?" On the prisoner's side the hooded prisoner had a smirk across their face not that Leorio or the others could see it. The prisoner than said "Care to make a wager, then?" Leorio confused by the question asked "Wager? A wager on what?" The prisoner smoothly replied with "On whether he's dead or alive." Leorio being cautious asked "What are the stakes? What are you proposing?"

The prisoner still smirking under their cloak said "Time." Leorio questioned "Time?" The prisoner than explained the rules of his or her match "We will settle our match through gambling, betting time instead of chips. Look at the monitor on the wall." Everyone then looked towards the monitor and the numbers 50/50 appeared on it. The prisoner then began to explain again "We'll each have 50 hours with which to wager. And bets can only be placed in ten-hour increments. We bet until one of our clocks reaches zero." Leorio with a serious look on his face replied "Gambling with time huh?" the prisoner continued speaking "We'll take turns deciding what to bet on. If your credit reaches zero, you will have 50 fewer hours to escape the tower." Leorio still skeptical asked "What if you hit zero first?" the prisoner smoothly replied "Fifty years will be added to our sentences. If you accept these terms, I'll confirm wither he's alive or dead." Leorio narrowed his eyes at his or her answer. Leorio after thinking a couple seconds said "Man, that prisoner is crazy. Betting with their own jail time like that?" Kurapika who had gotten up from his sitting position was standing behind Killua as he said "Consider you answer carefully. If you lose, we'll all have 50 fewer hours to clear the tower." Ferev then added "He has a point, if you do lose, we'll only have 10 hours left and no matter how you look at it that's cutting it really close." Leorio frustrated at both their responses said "Yeah, well nobody's asking you two. In case you forgot..." He then pointed at Kurapika who had crossed his arms and closed his eyes with a frown before continuing. "You're the one who got us into this stupid damn mess in the first place." he then pointed at Ferev saying "And all your good for is being negative and aggressive." Ferev chose to ignore Leorios comment knowing he was just mad at their situation.

Kurapika However, chose to turn his head away while saying "Very well. You won't hear another word from me." Killua was just listening to the argument with his face looking like a cat who found a new toy. Gon chose to step in tired of everyone fighting and said "Come on, we shouldn't be fighting each other." Leorio finally having had enough pointed at the prisoner with his right index finger and shouted "All right, I accept your damn challenge." The prisoner responded with "Okay. I chose our first bet so you may set the ante. Decide how many hours we'll wager on whether he's alive or dead." Leorio then raised his right index finger and said "I'll bet ten hours that he's alive!" The prisoner then laughed and said "All right let's confirm." Leorio began walking towards the platform but he paused when Kurapika made one last comment "Playing it safe, aren't you?" Leorio just smiled confidently and said "I thought you weren't going to say another word."

Leorio made his way to Majitani and once he got to him, he flipped Majitani onto his back with a small grunt of effort. Leorio then kneeled down and placed his left index and middle finger on Majitani's neck checking for a pulse. The prisoner who now stood a few feet away from Leorio having made their way over the same time Leorio did said "See, he's only unconscious." Leorio from his kneeling positions said "So it seems." On the wall the scoreboard made a ding sound as it now read 40/60 signifying Leorio's win of that round. Gon excited for Leorio's win said "Yes! Leorio's taken an early lead." Killua who had arms crossed behind his head however, saw the reality of the situation and said "This is bad." Gon replying with "Huh?" Killua continued his thought "Maybe he won't wake up no matter how long we wait." Kurapika then questioned him "I don't understand." Killua looked up towards Kurapika and replied "Don't you remember, when they walked by the guy on the floor?" Kurapika asked "what of it?" Killua then continued his explanation "Well, I was pretty sure he was already dead by then. But when I thought about it, I realized he's more useful to his team alive. As long as he stays unconscious. See, if he doesn't wake up before the time runs out, their sentences will be shortened by 72 years." As he was explaining this Leorio had opened Majitani's eyes to check if his Pupils were dilated then leaned back to think. While back with the group Gon realized what Killua was implying and said "So, if he doesn't wake up at all, then that means we-" Killua cut him off saying "That's my point." Kurapika also realizing what Killua was saying said "So, that's been their intention all along." as Leorio stood up the hooded prisoner said "Okay, it's your turn. What would you like to bet on next?" Leorio replied with "Let me see..." He then pointed at Majitani's body while saying "I say we bet on whether or not he's actually unconscious." The prisoner confused on Leorio's bet said "Huh?" Gon getting what Leorio was doing said "Oh, I get it."

Majitani who in actuality was not unconscious was thinking to himself "Wait, What? This wasn't on the note. What am I supposed to do now? When I woke up there was a note lying on the ground next to me." Revealing that the hooded prisoner had planted a note earlier on. Majitani continued his thought "It said, 'Keep pretending you're out cold. Hide this note in your mouth.' I knew what I was supposed to do. All I had to do was stay down until the clock ran out, and we'd get seventy-two years off our sentences. But now what? Do I stay down and keep pretending?" The hooded prisoner then said "All right. I'll bet twenty hours that he really is out cold." Majitani getting what his fellow prisoner was saying thought to himself "Okay, I got it! That's the play, then. I 'll just keep acting like I'm unconscious." The hooded prisoner stood across from Leorio, Majitani's body in between them as he or she said "The question is, how do you propose we go about this?" Leorio just grabbed Majitani's right arm before he lugged Majitani onto his shoulders and said "it's simple, really." and then began dragging him to the edge of the platform while grunting in effort and saying "heavy bastard..." Leorio then placed Majitani on his feet and let him lean back until he was almost falling off the edge with Leorio grabbing his shoulder to prevent him from falling. As he held Majitani with his right hand he had his left hand casually in his pocket while he said "I figured I would just push him off the edge." Majitani was inwardly freaking out thinking "That's the worst idea I've ever heard!" Ferev just smirked and yelled "Yeah! That's how to do it Leorio!"

Leorio with a serious look on his face said "If he's really unconscious, he'll fall to his death and that's the end of it." The prisoner completely thrown off by this turn of events said "Are you insane? His match hasn't been decided yet. There's no way I can accept those terms!" Leorio just smirked and said "Don't worry. If he falls and kicks the bucket, we'll forfeit the match, giving you a grand total of two wins. That work for you?" The prisoner having no choice said "It does. Very well, then." Majitani however was freaking out in his head "What was that? Come on, don't be ridiculous! We're talking about my life here!" The hooded prisoner then said "In that case, I'm changing my bet. I bet 40 hours that he isn't unconscious after all." Ferev however wasn't going to accept that and yelled "That's Bullshit! You can't change a bet once it's already been made that's standard gambling You cheating bitch!" The hooded prisoner slightly taken aback by the man in the coats cursing and outburst replied smoothly "Really? I don't remember stating that in the rules earlier?" Ferev just yelled "It's still Bullshit!" before he went silent.

Leorio just smirked and said "Little sneak. Finally showing your true colors." There was a long pause as everyone waited for what Leorio was going to do next. Leorio finally said with an uncaring look "Guess I'll let go, then." He then let go of Majitani's shoulder and as Majitani was beginning to fall backwards he suddenly woke up his arms waving trying to keep his balance since one of his feet slipped off the edge. He was panickily saying "Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on, don't let go. I'm awake!" He then tried grabbing Leorio's arm but missed and began falling backwards nothing for him to grab onto to save his life. Majitani began screaming "Wait! Wait! I'm going to fall!" and just as Majitani was going to fall to his death Leorio grabbed his left arm while saying with a chuckle "Good morning." and then pulled Majitani safely onto the platform.

Majitani fell onto his backside and screamed at both Leorio and the hooded prisoner "You're both complete lunatics! I've had enough! I lost plain and simple, ok?" He then got up and started walking to the prisoner's side of the room while saying "Forget reducing my sentence. I'm going back to prison back where it's safe!" Leorio then walked back over to the hooded prisoner and stood next to them oppositely facing each other. The hooded prisoner than spoke "You knew he was awake, didn't you?" Leorio had his eyes closed and a smirk on his face as he said "Believe it or not, I'm pre-med." He then looked at the hooded prisoner before continuing "The way his eyes were moving was a dead giveaway." The scoreboard then made a beeping sound and the numbers 80/20 appeared. The prisoner then said matter-of-factly "Even so, you have only twenty hours remaining." Ferev chose then to shout "Because you cheat-." Gon and Killua cut him off however, by jumping onto his back while covering mouth with their hands, As Ferev was trying to get them off Killua said "Just shut up old man! And let Leorio do his thing." Ferev got a few tick marks at the old man comment and began thrashing around even more. While Gon, Killua, and Kurapika tried to calm down Ferev, Leorio replied to the hooded prisoner saying "I know. But at least now we're in a better position with a three-one lead." The number 3 then appeared on the sign above Leorio's group.

Leorio who still had a confident smirk on his face pointed at the Hooded prisoner while saying "Now, let's keep this ball rolling. The choice is yours, so what's it gonna be? Or did you lose your nerve when I saw through your little scam?" The prisoner Chuckled before saying "Very well. I suppose I should Introduce myself..." the prisoner's handcuffs then came undone and then they pulled off their hood revealing an attractive young woman in her early twenties, she had bright blue eyes while her hair was long and bright pink that was tied into two big pigtails with yellow ribbons, unlike the other prisoner's she wore a grey prison dress over her brown prison pants. She then continued speaking "My name is Leroute and it's my pleasure to be beating you today." she finished with a smile and her hand on her hip. Leorio had an instant blush as soon as he saw the woman's face and he thought to himself "Damn, she's really cute." As Leorio was beginning to laugh bashfully while staring at Leroute Gon and the others were standing back in their original spots and making their own comments. Killua started off saying "What a pervert." while looking like he was ashamed to even know Leorio. Gon commented "I can hear his heartbeat from here." Kurapika finished by saying "I don't like where this is going." As everyone waited for Ferev's comment but none came they all looked towards him and each of them had a blank look on their faces because what they saw was Ferev with his arms crossed and a small frown on his face but his eyes were firmly fixed on Leroute with a blush across his face. Killua frustrated at these so-called adults turned towards Ferev with his fists aimed at the ground while leaning on heels and said "You Too! What's your guy's deal?" Ferev just bent down to Killua's level his fist shaking as he held it up with anime tears falling down his face as he shouted "Hey you don't know what I go through on regular basis with women so shut up!" he then pulled himself together and continued watching Leorio's match as did the others.

Back on the platform with Leroute and Leorio, Leroute began to explain what they would be betting on. "All right. What do you say we place bets on whether I'm a man or a woman?" Over with Ferev and the group he suddenly turned green while saying "What?" Killua then just started laughing at Ferev's expense who was now on his hands and knees with a rain cloud over his head while muttering "She has to be woman. I mean she looks like a woman and she..." he continued to mutter in despair while Gon crouched down to pat him on the back to make him feel better. Back with Leorio he was just as surprised as Ferev by her statement and replied with "Huh?" Leroute just smirked and said "What's the matter? That isn't a problem, is it?" Leorio still thrown off a little replied with "Uh, no." Leorio then stared at Leroute while thinking "She is definitely a woman. Or maybe a cross-dresser? No way. She's gotta be a woman." Leorio with his hands on his hips replied with "Fine, I accept. But what if I bet you're a man? How exactly are you gonna prove you're not?" Leroute eyes brightened up as she answered with "Oh, right. I promise to let you examine every sqaure inch of my body." she then placed a hand on her chest before continuing "Now, will that satisfy you?" Leorio began laughing excitedly but Ferev however, knowing where Leorio's head was at shouted "Don't fall for it Leorio! I know how tempting it is trust me I do, but don't do what I think your gonna do." Kurapika who had a small frown made his own comment as well by saying "He's already chosen. He'll bet she's a man." Killua who had a blank stare said "Yeah." Gon who was still naïve to such things didn't pick up on their meanings and asked "Huh? Why?" Ferev then began explain to Gon what they all were talking about. As Ferev was explaining to Gon Leorio finally spoke up after looking at Leroute a couple minutes. "I've made up my mind. And I'll wager 10 hours that you're actually a man!" he finished while pointing at Leroute who in turn just scoffed silently.

Kurapika who's eyebrows were twitching in anger as his eyes were closed with a frown spoke up saying "I knew it." Ferev finished explaining things to Gon and asked "You get it?" which Gon replied with "Yeah I got it." Ferev then said "Good" and leaned against the wall with his right hand and bowed his head. A rain cloud appeared above his head as he said "I mean I can't blame him. But come on man, you're thinking with the wrong head." he finished with a dejected look on his face. Killua was just glaring at Leorio while saying "Dirty, stinkin' old man..." Leorio himself was thinking "This way, even if I'm wrong and she is a woman. I still get to check out her body! Either way, talk about a win-win situation!" Leorio then pointed at Leroute again and said "okay, reveal the answer!" Leroute just cocked her head to the side and said "That's too bad. I'm really a woman." Leorio had an eager smile on his face as he gulped then said "Oh, you are, Huh?" Leroute then smiled coyly and placed a finger on her lip cutely while saying "Well, want to check for yourself?" Leorio then creepily began wiggling his hand with a perverted smile on his face as he said "Well, don't mind if I do. I mean, just to be fair, of course." Leorio then began feeling up Leroute's chest as the others watched on in shame while one was slightly jealous not that he would ever admit it.

The scoreboard then beeped again as the numbers 90/10 appeared. Leorio then held his hands up as he stared at them with a stupid smile on his face. Leorio while looking at his hands thought to himself "I regret nothing." While over with Leorio's group Killua sighed out loud in frustration and Kurapika placed his hand on his head to stop the on-coming headache while saying "It is physically painful to watch this." Ferev who was crouched down with his arms hanging and his head down looked up suddenly while saying in a matter of fact tone "I hate saying this but Leorio is going to lose." Everyone looked at Ferev in shock Gon even went as far to ask "Why?" Ferev still from his crouched position pointed at Leroute with a sigh while saying "There's no doubt about it she already figured him out. She can see right through Leorio's strategy. Leorio's betting safe Hedging his bets to minimize damage. He's gambling to avoid losing not to win. That never works and you'll never win that way." Leroute just brushed her dress off after Leorio finished his "inspection" and thought to herself "I thought so. His gambling style is nothing to worry about." While Leroute was thinking Leorio himself was dancing around the platform while staring at his hands even going as far as to smell them. Leroute watched this with a confident smirk as she continued her thought "If he keeps playing that way, he doesn't have a prayer." She then chuckled and pointed at Leorio who had his back turned to her and said "Well? Your turn to pick what we bet on next." she then placed her hand on her hip before continuing "So what do you wanna wager?" Leorio finally snapped out of it before he glared at the scoreboard while thinking "This is no time to celebrate. I've only got ten hours left to bet with."

Leorio then put his hand onto his chin as he began to think on what to bet on. As Leorio was thinking he spoke his idea's out loud saying "Okay, what to bet on... I can't afford to lose but I can't think of a sure-fire win." he then had a look of realization as he pounded his fist into the palm of his hand while saying "Hey, I got it! We'll bet on whether I'm a really man or just a woman in disguise." Ferev after hearing Leorio's suggestion stood up with sweat drops forming on his head as he said "Did he really just suggest that?" Killua who had a look of disbelief on his face said "Keep it to yourself, old man. Thinking out loud isn't how you plan a strategy!" Over with Leorio he realized how dumb his idea was and said out loud again "No, that's never gonna work. Gotta think of something else." Gon then had a brilliant idea as he shouted over to Leorio saying "Leorio! How 'bout you bet on whether or not you're a teenager?" Leorio upset at Gon's suggestion shouted back "Give me a break, Gon. There's no way I look that old and you all know it! I'm clearly a teenager!" Leroute who had been standing with her arms crossed and an impatient stare suddenly stumbled while saying to herself with a look of shock on her face "He's... a teenager?" she then stared at Leorio more closely while saying to herself "Wow, he looks like an old man."

Leorio finally deciding what to bet on turned towards Leroute with his fist raised as he said with a determined smirk "All right! I know what we're betting on." he then pointed at Leroute saying "Let's bet on who'll win rock paper scissors!" Leroute giggled at Leorio's bet before saying "Why not." Ferev and Kurapika could only watch in disbelief as Leorio picked the worst possible thing to bet on. Kurapika voiced his opinion by saying "Is he serious? Why did he have to pick such a difficult wager?" Gon not understanding why rock paper scissors was bad asked "Wait. What's so hard about rock paper scissors?" back over with Leorio he had a confident smirk on his face as he scoffed before thinking "Just so happens, rock paper scissors is my specialty. In fact, I just played a tournament in the shopping district and I won a gourmet vacation." Leroute just had a confident smile on her face as she said "Let's see. So for my wager, I've got eighty hours that say I'll win, okay?" Leorio not believing what he was hearing had a blank look on his face as he replied with "Eh... Did you just say 80?" Leroute just held her left hand out while saying "That's not a problem, is it? I'm free to bet however much I want." Leorio leaned back in shock before leaning forward and slumping his shoulders as he said "Uh... I guess there's no rule against it." Leroute just held both her hands out while saying "Perfect. And if you lose, I can only take ten from you since that's all you have left. So, don't worry." she finished while putting her arms down.

Leorio wasn't so sure about the bet as he once thought and began thinking with a distressed look on his face "She doesn't need to bet 80 hours. Ten's plenty. I mean, what if she loses? Is she that confident in her rock paper scissors skills?" As Leorio was thinking Leroute had a calm smile on her face while inwardly thinking to herself "As expected, he's starting to stress out." Leroute then giggled at Leorio's stressed out face before continuing her thought "I can read him like an open book." Back with Kurapika and the others he began to explain to Gon why rock paper scissors was a bad choice while Ferev and the rest continued watching Leorio's match. "While the rules of rock paper scissors are simple, the game itself can be incredibly complex. From the perspective of probability, you stand a one-in-three chance of losing any given round. But if your opponent can predict your reasoning and control your reactions, your chances of losing increases dramatically." Ferev then summed it up in a few short words "In short, this is a game of wits and Leorio sadly isn't using his right now." Gon now understanding everything thanks to Kurapika and Ferev said "I see."

Leorio who had his back to Leroute pumped his fists while saying "Okay, I'm ready." he then turned to Leroute who in turn walked a little closer to Leorio so they could do their rock paper scissors match. When she got a couple feet away from Leorio she giggled. Leorio with a skeptical look on his face said "Hey, what's so funny?" Leroute then replied as if it was the most obvious thing in the world "It's just that I can tell what you're going to use." Leorio's face then turned to one of shock as he leaned back slightly. Leroute then continued speaking "I'm something of a mind reader, you see." Leorio got upset and got into her face while pointing at her and said "That is a lie. You can bluff all you want, but it'll take a lot more than that to scare me!" Leroute just smirked confidently while saying in a sing song voice "You'll believe it soon..." Leorio just grit his teeth as he took in her response. Leroute herself giggled before thinking "Just like I planned. One blatant lie and he's losing it." Leorio was thinking about what Leroute said and thought to himself with an unsure look on his face "Can she really read minds? No, she's lying. She's gotta be. But what if she isn't?" Ferev and Kurapika then said at the same time "Leorio will use rock." Gon surprised that they were so sure asked "Huh? What?" Over with Leroute and Leorio, Leroute held her right fist up getting ready to play the game and said "You ready?" Leorio let out a slight yelp in surprise before putting his own fist up while Leroute said "And... rock, paper, scissors." then both Leorio and Leroute held their fists out both choosing rock. Leorio let out a sigh of relief because they tied.

Gon then looked to Kurapika and Ferev while saying "You guys were right. Good guess, guys." while Kurapika explained his and Ferev's reasoning to Gon. Ferev chose to remain silent and watch the match while biting his thumbnail. While looking at Gon with his arms crossed Kurapika said "Leorio was nervous, leading him to avoid any actions that involved opening up. She's good. She's doing everything she can to make him uncomfortable and less likely to use paper." Killua understanding Kurapika's way of thinking finished for him "So, she sticks to rock, ensuring either a win or a draw." Ferev chose to finally speak up and said "Like Kurapika said rock-paper-scissors is a mind game." Gon looked back towards Leorio with a look of understanding and said "Now I see." back with Leorio he had a puzzled look on his face as he said with his fist still raised "Hang on. We both used rocks, so that was a draw, wasn't it?" Leorute had an uncaring look and tone as she said "So what if it was?" Leorio then pointed at her while saying "Aha! I knew it! You were lying about being able to read my mind! If you really were a psychic, then you would have beaten me! Right?!" Leroute just giggled at Leorio her mind games working on him perfectly. Leorio not happy to be laughed at asked in an agitated tone "What are you laughing at?" Leroute just looked at him with a sure smile and said "I gave you that tie on purpose. You're welcome." Leorio grew a tick mark as he shouted with his fist raised "Quit Lying!" Leroute still smiling said "Have you forgotten already? We're trying to stall you here for as long as possible. If I really wanted to, I could force a series of draws that would last indefinitely." Leorio leaned back a little as he growled in frustration at the woman while Leorute held her hands open wide saying "But why? I'm sure that wouldn't be half as fun as toying with you." she then narrowed her eyes as she ominously said "But I'll end it after this. Well, what will you use next? Come on, think hard." she then laughed evilly while Leorio had a nervous look on his face as Leroute's mind games began to take their toll on his psyche.

Leorio grabbed his head and started rubbing his hair and closing his eyes in frustration while saying "Damn it!" Leroute herself was smiling confidently as she thought "Yes, that's it... Worry. Fret." Over with Kurapika and the others he began to explain what was happening to Leorio on the platform. "When someone's confidence is shattered, they begin to crave reassurance. See? That's obviously what's happening to Leorio." Ferev spoke up next saying "He's going to use the same play or something stronger to regain his confidence." Killua and Gon looked back towards Leorio's match with Killua saying "I see what she's doing. She's trying to get Leorio to choose either rock or paper." Gon eyes brightened up as he said "Then Leorio's gotta stay one step ahead!" Ferev spoke up saying "Your right and if Leorio was calmer he would be able to but sadly right now, that's not the case." Back over with Leorio he suddenly screamed looking at the ceiling while holding his head and then yelled "What is happening!" Leroute suddenly held her right fist up as she began saying "Here we go." Leorio gasped in surprise at the sudden round before Leroute continued "Here comes the draw!" then both Leorio and Leroute threw out their respective choices Leorio picking rock again while Leroute picked Paper. Leroute had a happy go lucky smile on her face with her eyes closed while Leorio had his mouth open in complete shock.

The scoreboard then made one last final beeping sound before the numbers 100/0 showed up on the board signifying Leorio's loss. Leroute began twirling and dancing on the platform while saying "I win, yay!" the number 2 appearing on the sign on the prisoner's side. Leroute then made her way back to the bridge and her side of the room laughing all the way there. Leorio was hunched over his teeth were grit in anger and frustration as he glared at the ground. Over with Gon and everybody else Gon had his arms crossed behind his head as he thought out loud "Amazing. This game's really hard." Killua then spoke saying "And now the score's three-two." Ferev spoke next his eyes narrowed as he said "Even worse, we now only have about 10 hours to make it down this tower." Leorio made his way back to the group and when he got there, he looked down dejectedly while saying "Sorry, I thought I was a rock paper scissors pro." Tonpa just grunted before saying "Pretty pathetic showing." However, after he said that Ferev punched him in the right side of face making tonpa fall over and cradle his cheek as he looked up at Ferev who then spoke "New deal. Anytime I hear something negative coming from your mouth I'm going to hit you. are we clear?" Tonpa just nodded while whimpering. Ferev then looked at everyone else and asked "Any objections?" no one said anything mostly because after hearing Tonpa's speech about being the rookie crusher they had no more sympathy for him.

Everyone looked at the prisoner's side of the room Kurapika being the first to speak said "So the final round is upon us." Killua then spoke up his hands casually in his pockets as he said "I guess that means I'm up." Leorio freaked out having a muscle spasm as he shouted "Huh? Wait, Killua?" Killua slightly insulted said "What does that mean?" Leorio concerned for Killua's safety since he was just a kid said with his fist trembling in front of face "Damn, this sucks! I really needed to win my round. It's all my fault!" Ferev having a good suspicion on who Killua might be thought to himself "Don't worry Leorio if my hunch is right this kid is going to be just fine." Killua even more insulted at what Leorio was saying pointed at Leorio while Gon had to hold him back then shouted "Gon, your buddy, here, is pissing me off!" Gon still holding Killua back said "Take it easy" Killua then said "Don't throw in the towel. We don't even know what the next contest is yet. But if something like doing math in your head, I'm totally surrendering" Leorio now thinking Killua might be ok said "Hey, you're right. If your next opponent's a weakling, we might still have a chance!"

However, with the prisoner's when they saw Killua was up next some had words of pity for him. Bendot started with saying "That kid's their last member. I didn't think he would draw the short straw." Leroute spoke up next saying "That poor thing. He's still so young." they then all looked towards the prisoner who had been sitting down behind all of them. His hood was still on but even with it on you could see how huge and muscular the man was. The handcuffs that were on the muscular man suddenly came undone and all the other prisoners gasped and took a few steps back giving the man as much room as possible. As the handcuffs fell to the floor, they revealed that the man's arms were covered in veins showing how much his muscle was straining against his skin. The man then flexed his fingers cracking sounds being heard as he did so. Majitani However just grunted and said while walking towards the man "I don't get it. What are you guys scared of?" Bendot trying to stop Majitani from getting killed shouted while holding his hand out "Stop, you idiot." Majitani ignoring Bendot's warning just looked down at the man since Majitani was slightly taller than the man and said "He doesn't look all that terrifying to me. That's all ancient histor-" Majitani was cut off as the man grabbed him by the very front of his face crushing his nose and jaw before slamming his entire body into the wall making a human sized hole that Majitani was now lodged in either dead or unconscious.

All the other prisoner's gasped in shock and tried to back away as much as they could as the man then turned towards the bridge that lead to platform and made his way over. As the man made his way over, he was able to penetrate the stone wall with his fingers and completely drag his hand through the stone and rock wall as he walked terrifying the prisoner's even more. When the man reached the edge he removed his hood revealing a bright blond haired man who's hair was cut short and disheveled all over, his eyes were a light blue with an uncaring look in them, he had a bright blond mustache as well, he wore the usual grey prison shirt and brown pants. Leorio gasped in fear instantly recognizing the man and said "It's that guy..." Gon looked up at Leorio and asked "You know him?" Leorio concerned for Killua said "We should just take the loss. Killua you can't fight this guy." everyone gasped at Leorio's suggestion. Ferev having no Idea why Leorio was so freaked out by this man asked "Why? What's making you so nervous right now?" Leorio just gulped before he answered "Johness, the Dissector...The worst mass murderer in Zaban's history. He chose his victims at random. It was all over the news. 146 people. Men, women, young, old, all slaughtered. Each of the victim's had one thing in common. He murdered every single one of them with his bare hands." The now named Johness grabbed a large piece of debris before crushing it into dust with his hand as he said "It's been ages since I last touched human flesh." Leorio frightened for Killua's life said pleadingly "He's a complete psychopath. You don't have to fight him! There's always next year right?" Killua just ignored Leorio's concerns and walked towards the platform. As Killua walked away Leorio tried to stop him by saying "Killua!" He then looked back towards Ferev and Kurapika and said "What the hell?! Wasn't he listening to a word I said?" Kurapika tried calming Leorio down by saying "Let him go, Leorio. He might have a plan we don't know about." Leorio looked back towards Killua and couldn't help but worry. Ferev however had his hands in his coat pockets and was staring at Killua intently. When Killua finally reached Johness Ferev thought to himself "I just need to see how he fights. then I can confirm who he is, after that I'll make my move."

As the bridges retracted Killua looked up at Johness with a smile while Johness looked at Killua with uncaring eyes. Killua still smiling asked "How do you want to do this?" Johness just continued staring at Killua with his uncaring gaze as he replied "Do this? See, you're about to be on the wrong side of a one-handed massacre. I don't care about the Exam or reducing my sentence. All I want is to hear you scream." Killua just looked at the man with a blank stare as he said "Really? Fine. We'll just keep fighting until one of us dies." Johness just replied with "That's right. A battle to the death. Soon... I'll tear your body apart with just my bare hands, got it?" just as Johness finished talking Killua became a blur and in a matter of seconds he was in front of Johness before suddenly he was right behind him. Everyone gasped at what they saw except for Ferev who's eyes widened as his right arm slipped from his coat pocket. Ferev's gaze soon hardened slightly as his right fist clenched as he thought "He's a Zoldyck there's no doubt now. the technique he just used is all the proof I need."

Johness eyes widened as he felt something was suddenly missing from him as he looked down a saw there was hole where his heart should be and said "What happened? Why am I so cold?" he then looked at Killua who had his back turned to him but he slowly turned around revealing Johness's heart covered by a layer of skin in Killua's left hand. Johness tried to walk towards Killua while saying "That's mine...It belongs to me." Killua just had an evil smirk as Johness heart was starting to stop beating. Johness desperate not to die continued trying to walk towards Killua while saying "Give it back. Give it back to me." Johness couldn't even speak now all he could do was continue his slow trek towards Killua and gasp for air. Soon Johness heart stopped beating in Killua's hand and Johness eyes widened before he collapsed forward landing face first his left hand outstretched and held out. Killua just crouched down and placed Johness heart in his outstretched hand. The number 4 then appeared on Killua's group's side signifying their win of this part of the exam. Killua stood back up while looking at Bendot with an Ice-cold glare and said "So, that's 4 wins for us. We move on, right?" Bendot scared stiff of the kid in front of him nervously replied "That's right. Yeah, you guys win." Killua with his icy glare said "By the way, you must be itching for some action. You didn't get to fight. How about it? Want to take me on?" Bendot just replied with sweat pouring down his head "Thanks but no thanks." Killua just shrugged his shoulders while closing eyes and said "Suit yourself." he then made his way back to his group. As Killua made his way back Leorio stunned at what he just saw said "Whoa, who is this kid, anyway?" Gon then looked at everyone and said "That's right, you guys don't know?" Leorio looked at Gon questioningly and said "Wait. Know what?" Gon then held up his right index finger as he said "Killua's family. He says they're a bunch of elite assassins." Everyone except Ferev gasped in shock while Leorio said "Did you say elite assassins?" Killua then showed up at that moment saying "I'm back." making Leorio flinch when he approached. Killua looked up at Leorio questioningly and said "What?" Leorio tried covering his tracks by saying "Just... good work out there!" he finished with an awkward smile.

Suddenly a section of the wall on the left side of room rose up revealing a pathway and a metal bridge then came out towards the platform. Lippo's voice soon came over the speaker again as he said "Please cross the bridge. On the other side, you'll find a small room. That's where you'll be spending the 50 hours you gambled away." Killua spoke up while walking towards the door and said "Well, come on." Gon following after him saying "All right, sure." Everyone soon followed suit all heading to a room where they are to spend 50 hours and then only have another 10 hours to finish the Exam. Ferev had one last thought as they entered the hallway "Things just got a little harder."
