Summary: It isn't Han that Ben Solo sees when he is redeemed, but Anakin Skywalker. One-shot. Set during TROS. Anakin POV.
With the Force, Anything is Possible
Anakin Skywalker watched as Ben Solo looked out over Endor's waters. The young man seemed deep in thought, not moving. The wind brushed his hair behind him.
"You know, I've been to Endor. I didn't know there was an ocean here." Anakin spoke.
Ben whipped around so fast that he lost his balance and nearly toppled into the water.
"Careful now." Sidious's former apprentice warned. "I wouldn't want to go swimming to save you. It looks cold down there."
"You're Anakin Skywalker." His grandson stated, dumbfounded.
"Why, yes, I am." He agreed. "And you're Ben Solo."
Ben's eyes narrowed. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm just here to talk to you, Ben. Can I do that?"
There was a nod in response.
"I made a lot of mistakes, when I was alive. I did everything I was warned not to do. It led me down a path I could have never imagined going down. I thought I could trust Sidious, but I was wrong. I destroyed everything I ever cared about. Padme, Obi-Wan. I even destroyed myself. It was a burden I carried for so long. But Luke saved me. He brought me back to the light side of the Force.
I have been watching over you, Ben. The whole time. You've reminded me of myself so much. You, like me, have been twisted by Palpatine. His promises are lies. All he wants is absolute power. He'll replace you with Rey as soon as he gets the chance. Don't listen to him. You are stronger than he is.
You need to find Rey and get to Exegol. You need to end his power once and for all. Only you can beat him, Ben. I know you can do it." Anakin told him. "You're already halfway there, I can feel it. Kylo Ren is gone now, like Vader was gone when I made my final choice."
"But...I've never seen anyone so powerful. Even with Rey, how am I supposed to defeat him?" Ben asked. "It's not possible."
"With the Force, anything is possible. Just trust in the Force. It will guide you. There's nothing more that you'll need."
"And you think I can do it?"
"I know you can do it."
