A/N: And without further ado, the story of "Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix". :) I'll warn you, though. This story was meant to take place during the 4th season of the rewrite series. So, for those who would still like to read it at this point, do so at your own peril. What I can tell you, though is that it'd not only feature the music from "Ben 10: Omniverse", but also its theme song. Also, as those of you who'd like to read anyway do so, it might give you ideas at certain points when Ben, Gwen, and Emily may have supposedly met and bested certain enemies. Other than that, enjoy. :)
Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix
Chapter 1: A Startling Chain Reaction
First it showed a close-up of the Omnitrix as it backed away before a green button was pressed and the dial went up as it glowed green and surged brightly as sparks were emitted for a moment before the two lines in the dial intersected and showed a selection of aliens varying from Heatblast to Wildmutt to an unknown alien to Cannonbolt to Four Arms Before the dial was pressed down, shrouding the screen in a green light before the symbol of the Omnitrix then crashed onto the now starry screen before "Secret of the Omnitrix" flipped up in appearance just below "Ben 10" one word at a time, making "Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix" before the logo dashed forward with the smaller Omnitrix symbol in the "10" zooming closer before the screen faded to black.

It all started as Gwen, Max, Julie, and Dave were hung upside down and tied in a rope of chains.
"I hear normal kids normally spend their normal summer vacations at the beach. Or the mall. Oh, that's right. We were supposed to go to the mall today.", Gwen reminded.
"Sorry, honey. Got a little sidetracked.", Max apologized.
"It's okay. Happens all the time. Well, apart from what's going on right now.", Julie assured.
"In my defense, we got mixed up on which shortcut to take for the mall.", Dave added.
Just below them, Dr. Animo turned them two knobs to activate the timer for detonation as it began counting backwards from 60 seconds.
"This nuclear reactor is the perfect way to detonate my DNA Bomb into the atmosphere and de-evolutionize the world!", Dr. Animo proclaimed excitedly before a crash came from behind him as he turned to notice smoke.
"Took 'em long enough.", Gwen commented before the smoke cleared to show not only Diamondgal, but also a new alien with black pants with white bands on them and a white belt with the Omnitrix's symbol on it, had light green eyes with dark green pupils, one giant primary eye in the center of his chest, although it isn't present yet, and feet which were light in colour, but match the same dark yellow as on his body.
"Sorry to keep you guys waiting.", Diamondgal grinned.
"Okay, Animo. Science class is cancelled.", the new alien discouraged.
"Fools! In less than a minute, the world will get a lesson it will never forget! In the meantime, meet my latest creation.", Dr. Animo retorted before a giant bug growled and screeched as it then flew toward Diamondgal and Eye Guy.
"Ugh!", Diamondgal commented.
"Wow! That's an eyeful.", the new alien added.
"I've got an idea.", Diamondgal spoke before she forged a pillar of crystals on the ground similar to how it was back when Diamondhead first saved Emily.
"Shoot, Ben!", Diamondgal urged before the new alien's giant eye on his chest finally opened up and fired a green laser, which reflected inside the crystal, causing it to fire at the bug, sending it crashing to the ground with a pained screech.
"Yes!", Diamondgal fist-pumped in excitement.
"Oh, yeah! Being a team of heroes rocks!", the new alien celebrated.
"Kinda like the enthusiasm, but it might be too early.", Diamondgal responded before the bug recovered and screeched before going toward the two heroes only for the two aliens to dodge it before the new alien fired another laser at the bug, this time agitating it as it screeched before flying toward them only to miss again as it rammed the beam before the new alien fired his green eye laser again, only to miss this time as it hit the reactor just before splitting around it due to its reflective surface just as Diamondgal then fired her crystals at the bug as well, but missed, although thankfully, none of them hit the reactor hard enough.
"Hey, Eye Guy, Diamondgal! DNA Bomb ticking down over here, remember?", Gwen reminded.
"Right. Sorry. Ben, do you think you can get them down?", Diamondgal asked.
"I don't see why not?", the new alien asked before firing his eye laser at the chains, causing it to break apart with Gwen, Max, Julie, and Dave falling down as the cousin screamed before Dave caught Gwen while Max caught Julie
"We Gotcha!", Dave assured before Max got out his grappling hook and fired it at a beam to swing to safety as they landed only to notice the giant bug headed for them only to get stuck on the ground by the stinger as Gwen, Max, Julie, and Dave took off.
"The game's up, Animo.", Diamondgal discouraged.
"Neither your crystals nor your energy beams will have any effect on that casing.", Dr. Animo discouraged.
"Any ideas, Ben?", Diamondgal asked as she turned to him.
"If we can't shut it down, we'll just have to turn it up!", Eye Guy responded.
"Turn it up? Okay. I just hope you know what you're doing.", Diamondgal responded before making another pillar of crystals, but twice as big.
After that, Eye Guy then fires a full power energy beam from his primary eye toward the pillar, reflecting it from the inside before the crystal then fired the laser toward the center of the reactor below as Gwen, Max, Julie, and Dave noticed.
"Ben, you don't know what that's going to do!", Julie shouted.
"Can't be any worse than what's going to happen if we don't!", Eye Guy responded.
"Are you sure that's a good idea, Emily?", Dave shouted.
"I've never been more sure about anything. And I have started to trust Ben more back in the old days.", Diamondgal responded.
Then, the reactor started spewing out steam and the timer started sparking out.
"No! You're overloading the system!", Animo shouted before running off.
"That's the idea.", Eye Guy responded before steam blew out from the reactor's holes, water from inside boiled, and more steam blew out, this time, from the pressure valves until the timer changed from "02" to "ERROR" and deactivated, prompting Eye Guy to cease fire before looking back to Gwen, Max, Julie, and Dave as Diamondgal turned to them as well with both giving thumbs up before the reactor gave off an alarm with a red light flashing before emitting concentrated DNA Waves with Diamondgal gasping.
"Run!", she urged before she took off just before the DNA waves hit Eye Guy before her could take off with her, even adversely affecting the Omnitrix as it gave off dark orange lightning bolts before Diamondgal, Julie, Max, Gwen, and Dave ran and hid behind the machine just in time to avoid the DNA Waves as they passed by.
When the group of four got up, they looked back and saw Ben now back in normal form, although still reeling from the waves for a bit before noticing Dr. Animo on top of his bug.
"You may have ruined my plan today, Tennyson and Roosevelt, but there's always tomorrow!", Dr. Animo shouted before he took off as Gwen, Julie, Max, Dave, and Diamondgal caught up to Ben, who stood up.
"Ben. Are you okay?", Max asked.
"Yeah. Good thing I was Eye Guy, 'cause the DNA Wave would've scrambled me.", Ben responded.
Then, both Diamondgal and Gwen noticed the Omnitrix giving off an orange light.
"What's up with the watch?", Gwen asked.
"I don't know.", Ben shrugged.
"Well, it scrambled something, all right.", Diamondgal responded.
Little did any of them know that the Omnitrix's inner workings have been overloaded as they turned from green to orange, which was the same color that the dial was flashing before it turned green.
"All right! I got the green early!", Ben spoke excitedly before running.
"Ben, wait! Who knows what's happening to the Omnitrix?", Diamondgal urged.
"But Animo's getting away! I can't catch him if I don't go hero. Stinkfly, clear for takeoff!", Ben shouted as he activated the Omnitrix and turned the dial a few times before he slammed it down and became Stinkfly at first only to turn into Wildmutt, and then Diamondhead before shrinking into Grey Matter.
"Sometimes, I think this thing just plain hates me.", Grey Matter sighed before Gwen, Julie, Diamondgal, Max, and Dave walked you to him.
"How are you planning on catching up to Animo now, short stuff?", Gwen asked.
"Gwen, I think we all know not to doubt the heightened intelligence of a Galvan, no matter how small they are.", Diamondgal smirked.
Later, Animo was flying above glowing green vats of acid.
"Someday, my pet, those snot-nosed heroes will get theirs!", Animo swore.
"In the meantime, here's yours.", Grey Matter shouted as he and Diamondgal caught up and whacked Animo before the hoverboard swerved off course toward the vat only to be caught by Diamondgal.
"Got it!", Diamondgal grinned as Animo recovered before Grey Matter popped up on his left shoulder and crawled in through his shirt, causing him to veer off-course and hit various steam pipes in the process.
However, it didn't last long as Animo managed to grab Grey Matter and pull him off his back.
"Time...to cut this little pygmy punk down to size!", Animo threatened before tossing him aside.
"Whoa!", Grey Matter shouted.
"Ben!", Diamondgal shouted before Grey Matter managed to catch onto a rope of chains, relieving her before Diamondgal looked back at Animo.
"That's it! Nobody dunks him into a vat of acid and gets away with it!", Diamondgal shouted angrily before smashing her one fist against the ground, causing spikes of crystals to emerge and block Animo's path, also destroying a steam pipe, letting off steam and taking him by surprise as he screamed before he ran into the crystal and fell down as the bug fell and lost consciousness on top of Animo, who is struggling to get back up.
"Consider yourself grounded, Animo!", Diamondgal spoke.
"Ooh! That's gonna leave a mark. On the other hand, that's a cool pun.", Grey Matter spoke as the Omnitrix beeped before a red light overcame him and dimmed down with Ben now back to normal and struggling to hang on before his hand slipped and he fell with a scream.
"Ben!", Diamondgal shouted before Ben was suddenly caught by Gwen in the nick of time as he was now in a magic barrier which is now keeping him from falling into the vat.
"Thanks, Gwen.", Diamondgal sighed in relief.
"You're really getting good at some of those spells in that book.", Max grinned as he caught up.
"Practice makes perfect.", Gwen smirked.
"Phew! And a good thing, too.", Dave sighed in relief.
Later, the RV was heading out the cave and around the mountains.
"That was awesome! What's next?", Ben asked eagerly.
"Now, we get to do something I want to do for a change.", Gwen responded.
"What? Oh, man!", Ben groaned.
"Just let her have this, Ben. It's what she needs.", Julie suggested.
"She's not wrong there. Besides, I kinda need a break from all this, too.", Emily urged.
