This was based on a dream I had in mid-September. Enjoy!
"Livy, even though Ratigan's gone, but in his lair, I found that something was missing." Fidget pondered deep in thought.
"And what will that be?" Olivia asked.
"Oh, I forgot to pack up my belongings. That's all."
…
Fidget and Olivia opened a small door in Sherlock Holmes's residence. "We'll be in and out, I promise you," Fidget promised as the two shadows approached. Olivia gently shushed the bat as she rubbed the tense bat's shoulder and they hid behind the door, listening deeply into the human detectives' conversation.
"Confound it! Where's my blasted deerstalker?" Sherlock boomed.
Fidget and Olivia closed their eyes and covered their ears, unable to take the loudness of the human detective's voice.
"Don't blame me, Sherlock!" Watson snapped. "You're the one who wore it last, not me."
Sherlock found his hat lying on the table and grabbed it. "Well, much better," he said, putting on his deerstalker hat.
"Off we go, Holmes," Watson called.
"Yes, and off we go, Watson!" Sherlock agreed.
Now that the human detectives were gone, Fidget and Olivia stepped out of their hideout into Toby's home. "Toby!" they called and just as they cried out, Toby sprang over to them in delight.
"Hey, Toby!" Fidget cried out. "Livy and I need to go to Ratigan's lair to pack up my things since I forgot to." He flew Olivia up to Toby and they were both on board. "Go!" Fidget shouted and Toby quickly dashed across the streets.
…
Suddenly, the trio came to the sewer, where Ratigan once lived. Fidget flew Olivia down the sewer.
When they reached solid ground, they were about to enter Fidget's room, only to be held hostage by Professor Ratigan, who bounded them with ropes. Ratigan cackled wryly. Little did the two know that Ratigan was still alive. "Well, well, well. It's nice to see you again, dear Fidget and you as well, Miss Olivia. I missed you and your dear friends all so much. How's your father, Olivia?" He rubbed her little chin. She bit his finger. "Ah!"
"Hey, don't touch her!" snapped Fidget. "She's my friend and she doesn't want rats like you!"
"Aww, feeling left out, Fidget?" Ratigan asked slyly as he rubbed his chin, too. "Here, I'll help you with that. There, better?"
Fidget bit his other finger.
"Ow! Feisty bat!" Ratigan yelped as he waved his finger. "Wonder where you got it from? Certainly not from me." To his men, "Men, untie them."
Olivia and Fidget looked at each other, thinking they could make their escape, but stopped to realize this could be a trap because Ratigan would've been suspecting what they'd be doing.
"What do we do now, Fidget?" Olivia panicked.
"I-I-I don't know!" Fidget stammered fearfully, hoping Ratigan hadn't heard his outward signs of fear. Then stopped to find courage. "Let's head to my former room, Olivia." And they sprinted off to his former room only to be caught again by the rat.
"Well, well, well, let's not be too hasty!" Ratigan taunted. "Men, get the trap ready!"
…
Fidget and Olivia got tied to a trap by Ratigan, who wouldn't leave them alone and when the rat lectured them, they eventually yawned and fell asleep during his lectures. Ratigan got mad and yelled, "Kids! No respect for their elders!" Then he kicked the box, landing on his head. Olivia and Fidget laughed at the rat's misfortune.
…
Before the song came to an end, Olivia woke up and gave Fidget a smooch on the cheek. Fidget opened his eyes and turned to Olivia, but he fell asleep again. "If you keep this up, I'm going to give you a dozen more kisses!" Olivia said and she kissed him on the cheek many times more, just enough to awaken him.
"Keep them coming!" Fidget replied with a hearty chuckle, trying to stay awake and their friends and Olivia's father came to rescue them.
"Fidget. Olivia. How about I untie the trap?" Basil offered, reaching for his pocket knife.
Fidget gasped at the sight of a knife. "Knife!"
"He's cutting the rope, Fidget," Olivia told him.
"I'll be careful," Basil assured Fidget, who sighed in relief, and Basil untied them. Then Basil and Dawson arrested the unconscious Ratigan and they all lived happily ever after.
