Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix
Chapter 2: A Disturbing Revelation
Later, at the mall, as everyone else went about their own business, while Emily was looking around for stuff to buy, Ben was punching and kicking at the air as Julie watched.
"Take that! Huh! And that! Yah! And that! Uh!", Ben grunted as he posed and did a fake attack combo near the mannequin.
"You're going down! Sumo Slammers Death Blow!", Ben shouted as he reeled his arm back and then swung it forward only to slip and hit the ground, causing the mannequin to tip over and fall only for the clerk to catch it before it could hit the ground.
"This is a store, not a boxing ring.", the clerk reminded before walking away, not knowing that the mannequin's head fell off as Ben crossed his arms.
"She kinda has a point, Ben.", Julie concurred.
Meanwhile, Max and Dave were looking at the shirts as Gwen was looking for different shirts and pants as Emily was looking through the T-Shirts.
"How do you think these'll make me look?", Gwen asked.
"Like a total...", Ben began before Emily growled just from hearing what he was about to say before she covered his mouth with her hand.
"You look great in all of them.", Julie assured.
"But we don't know which one to pick.", Julie responded.
"So? Get 'em all.", Max grinned.
"Thanks, Grandpa.", Gwen thanked as she walked past Ben, Emily, Max, and Dave before going back to blow a raspberry at Ben, which was something that didn't sit well with Emily as she gave a glare with one eyebrow raised while removing her hand from Ben's mouth.
"Let's not ruin Gwen's day, huh?", Max suggested.
"What about ruining my day? I'm the one still stuck in some dumb clothing store during my summer vacation.", Ben retorted as Gwen went in the dressing room, earning Emily's glare as she cleared her throat, making Ben widen his eyes in worry.
"In which case, it's not really dumb for her.", Ben spoke in realization.
"Look, Ben. Gwen needs a break from the whole 'battling bad guys and aliens' thing we have going on. Even Emily wanted a break like that, too. She just wants to make the time to stop and relax, feel normal again for a change.", Dave responded.
"Trust me. There's nothing normal about Gwen.", Ben retorted.
"Isn't that the whole point, though?", Emily responded as she then showed him the Sumo Slammer's T-shirt with Ishiyama on the front of it, making Ben practically drop his jaw.
"They actually have Sumo Slammers t-shirts here?!", Ben puzzled in excitement.
"Yeah. Every clothing store has at least one T-shirt department with all kinds of them, you know.", Julie responded just as Gwen came out from the dressing room wearing a light cyan shirt with a sweater, dark blue pants, and white glasses.
"This is so fun! Hey, can we go shoe-shopping after this?", Gwen asked before Ben's Omnitrix started to go haywire, snapping him out of his flabbergasted stupor, as Julie and Emily noticed before it gave off orange sparks and the top of the dial started flashing bits of red at the top before the red parts stopped and turned orange, causing the omnitrix to raise a small barrier and burst, knocking Ben toward Gwen before Emily managed to catch Gwen by the shirt collar just as Ben unfortunately rammed into the clerk, knocking down all the stuff she's carrying as well before Ben sat up.
"What happened?", Julie asked.
"It wasn't my fault. The watch just wigged out.", Ben stated before the clerk got up and glared at Ben.
"Uh..., that's not my size.", Ben spoke nervously.
Later, outside the mall, the group were now heading back to the RV's with their purchases as the mall gates closed in front of Ben.
"Banned from an entire mall?! I've never been so humiliated in all my life!", Ben exclaimed.
"Funny. That's what I would've said if it happened a bit differently.", Gwen responded.
"Okay, kids. We'll all feel better after a good night's sleep.", Max suggested.
"I don't think I can sleep.", Ben squeaked in reply, still riddled with newfound shock.
"Well, you're going to have to at least try to sometime tonight.", Julie giggled in response.
Later, at the Forest, a whoosh sound was heard in the starry sky before a light brighter than the sun lit up, waking Emily up as she got up groggily.
"Huh? It's morning already?", Emily yawned as she sat up.
"But isn't it still night out?", Dave pondered as he yawned as well.
Meanwhile, Ben preferred to stay asleep.
"Ugh. Morning already? Oh, somebody turn off the sun.", Ben spoke as he then covered his head with his blanket.
Then, Max got up with a slight yawn.
"It's 3:30. The sun doesn't come up for 2 hours.", Max pondered as Gwen got up as well with Ben getting off the top bunk before looking past the blinds to see a wooden table getting destroyed before rushing out just as a spaceship landed next to the RV's with Ben, Gwen, and Max rushing out first as Emily, Julie, and Dave caught up to see the spaceship with someone walking out from the dust of the ground.
"Who's this?", Emily puzzled.
"I don't know who that is, but he's gonna think twice before he changed my wake-up call. Goin' hero.", Ben spoke as he went for the Omnitrix.
Then, a petrosapien Crystal was shot out before it landed near Ben.
"Whoa. That crystal... it's from a petrosapien.", Emily spoke before the figure emerged from the dust as his arm morphed back to normal.
The figure this time around had a blue version of a plumber's suit, although the helmet was still present before it retracted, showing a face resembling Diamondhead's.
"Tetrax!", Ben spoke excitedly.
"Good to see you again, Ben.", Tetrax spoke before placing his fist on his chest with a raise of his arm.
"Yeah. It's good to see you, too.", Ben greeted before he returned the gesture.
"What? You two know each other?", Julie puzzled.
"Oh, yeah. You kinda had to there.", Ben realized.
"We haven't seen you since we took down Sixsix together. How have you been?", Gwen asked.
"I've been a little busy. But I came as soon as I heard.", Tetrax responded.
"What is it? What's wrong?", Emily asked.
"I've picked up the SDM signal from the Omnitrix.", Tetrax responded, pointing to the Omnitrix.
"This? It's just the watch acting whacko again. No biggie.", Ben responded.
"Whatever happened to make it act like this is a huge biggie.", Emily retorted.
"SDM? Self-destruct mode?", Max guessed.
"The Omnitrix broadcasts a signal when it begins its countdown.", Tetrax stated.
"Wait. Are you saying...?", Emily began.
"The watch is gonna destroy itself?", Ben asked.
"Along with whoever is wearing it at the time.", Tetrax responded before Emily gasped.
"Oh, man.", Ben spoke in shock.
