Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix
Chapter 3: Road Trip to Space
"So, you have no idea what triggered the Omnitrix self-destruct mode?", Tetrax asked before Ben flashed back to the most likely event that triggered it as it showed a flashback of Eye Guy fires a full power energy beam from his primary eye toward the pillar, reflecting it from the inside before the crystal then fired the laser toward the center of the reactor below.
"Ben, you don't know what that's going to do!", Julie shouted before the reactor gave off an alarm with a red light flashing before emitting concentrated DNA Waves with Diamondgal gasping.
"Run!", she urged before she took off just before the DNA waves hit Eye Guy before her could take off with her, even adversely affecting the Omnitrix as it gave off dark orange lightning bolts before it flashed back to the present.
"It's a mystery.", Ben fibbed.
"Not to me, it isn't.", Emily retorted.
"Those waves from the reactor. They must've triggered it somehow.", Julie guessed.
"Well, it doesn't really matter, does it, since Tetrax is here to take care of it.", Ben spoke as he stepped up and held his left wrist.
"I haven't a clue how to deactivate the Omnitrix. Only Azmuth would know how to do that.", Tetrax responded.
"Azmuth? You know him?", Emily asked.
"Not exactly. Details on the rumored creator of the Omnitrix are sketchy at best. No one is even quite sure which planet he lives on. How do you know him, anyway?", Tetrax puzzled.
"Well, the thing is, he sent this thing to Earth to look for the one who has the Omnitrix, which turned out to be Ben, and protect him. We've been very close since then. Well, me and Ben, anyway. Azmuth just phones me in whenever he has something important to say at times. Like its updates. All those times are actually pretty helpful.", Emily responded.
"Who knew?", Gwen emphasized.
"Yeah. Anyway, how are you going to find him?", Julie asked.
"On my ship, I have the equipment we need to examine the Omnitrix for Azmuth's DNA signature. It's like an autograph on his work. Once we have that, we can scan the Galaxy until we locate him.", Tetrax explained as it showed a sort of lab before then showing the panel appearing in front of the seat as it showed a sort of atom before a white dot inside grew bigger and brighter as it zoomed in before showing Max, Dave, Julie, and Gwen walking up to Tetrax, Ben, and Emily.
"How long until the watch self-destructs?", Dave asked before the red flashes on the top and bottom of the dial flashed red before stopping at orange with the green color getting noticeably smaller.
"Judging from the pattern's repetition, I'd say less than 4 Earth days. We'd better get going. There's no telling who else has picked up on the signal.", Tetrax responded.
"Road trip: space style!", Ben spoke excitedly as he fist-pumped.
"Can we come with?", Julie asked with Gwen, Max, and Dave getting puzzled.
"Well, someone has to keep an eye on him.", Julie sighed.
Later, she, Emily, and Ben were all dressed up for the adventure.
"Sorry, Max. We can't run the risk of some alien somewhere recognizing you or Dave.", Tetrax apologized.
"I understand.", Max understood.
"I guess you're getting your break from your cousin after all, Ben.", Dave spoke to Ben.
"Translation: no dweebs allowed in space.", Ben smirked before Emily gave a scolding growl.
"Ben. I'm concerned you're not taking this seriously.", Max worried as he put his hand on Ben's shoulder.
"I know, I know. It's always serious, Grandpa. And I always win.", Ben assured.
"With some help, thank you very much.", Gwen added.
"Yeah. In more ways than one.", Emily added, holding out her Omni-Enhancer on her wrist.
"I'll be okay, okay? We'll find Azmuth, he'll fix the watch, and we'll be back before you know it.", Ben assured.
"Try not to mess things up, okay?", Gwen asked.
"Since when do I ever need things up?", Ben asked.
"Is that even a question?", Emily asked in response.
"Take good care of my grandson.", Max requested.
"And my daughter, too.", Dave added before Tetrax nodded in reply.
"Hope to see you guys back on Earth!", Emily shouted as she and Ben waved before the spaceship door closed as Max and Dave looked on.
Inside the ship, Tetrax, Ben, Julie, and Emily turned around and the the latter three noticing what the inside of the ship looked like.
"Cool.", Ben commented.
"Yes, it is...'cool', isn't it?", Tetrax asked.
"'Cool'? That's like something out of a science fiction movie.", Emily responded.
"'Science fiction'?", Tetrax puzzled as he, Ben, and Emily stepped aboard a panel nearest to the wall before said panel went up to the top of the ledge.
"Well, it's a genre that typically had stuff like this, only they weren't as real as this stuff on the ship. All that said, they are impressive.", Julie explained before the panel went up a few inches and moved above the ledge before scaling the diagonal floor and then moving forward past the hallway into a sort of red room with a few spiked maces hanging from the ceiling.
"Whoa, what's this?", Ben asked.
"This is my training room. Have to stay in shape between missions.", Tetrax responded.
"Huh. That works.", Emily grinned.
Then, the group of four stopped in front of the room's entry door leading to a sort of green-lit room with a sort of green portal at the center.
"And what's that?", Emily asked.
"That's the hover simulator. It can recreate over 1,000 different courses. You two are welcome to use it anytime.", Tetrax assured.
"Really?", Emily spoke almost excitedly.
"Yeah! Yes! Whoo-hoo!", Ben cheered excitedly as he, Emily, Julie (two of which giggled), and Tetrax moves forward and then arrived at the main room with Ben and Emily looking into awe.
"Whoa. So amazing.", Julie spoke in awe.
"Check it out. It's like a big video game.", Ben commented.
"It's not really as simple as you think if that's what you mean.", a voice spoke up, puzzling Ben and Emily.
"Huh? Who said that?", Emily puzzled.
Then, a seat turned around just behind Emily, revealing a short, overweight Tetramand who wears a lime green and black jumpsuit, grey belt, and two pairs of gloves, complete with the similar badge as Ben in his alien forms, only above his left pec, taking Emily by surprise as she exclaimed while turning around.
"I did.", the Tetramand responded.
"Whoa! A Four-Arms?", Ben spoke in surprise.
"Actually, I'm a Tetramand.", the being responded.
"Who's this?", Emily asked.
"This is my pilot, Gorvan.", Tetrax introduced.
"Hello.", Julie greeted.
"I didn't think I'd see a four-arms here.", Ben spoke in amazement.
"Again, I'm a Tetramand. And if you think that's surprising, wait until you three see him.", Gorvan retorted.
"See who?", Julie puzzled before a pink blob with three eyes and black stripes suddenly sprang up.
"Aah! Living snot!", Ben exclaimed.
"And that's my co-pilot, Gluto.", Tetrax introduced.
"Hey.", Ben greeted a bit nervously as Gluto moved his head closer to the two.
"Uh..., hi.", Emily greeted before Gluto then went back down.
"Yeah. Nice to meet you, too.", Ben greeted.
"Isn't it a bit weird that he's starting to grow on me already?", Emily asked.
"Not really. He tends to have that effect on some people. In other words, Gluto may be strange, but he is a kind soul once you get to know him.", Gorvan responded.
"I assume you three are familiar with space travel protocol?", Tetrax asked.
"Oh, sure.", Ben fibbed.
"Uh, not me.", Emily added truthfully.
"Me neither.", Julie added, shaking her head.
Outside, the ship started moving up as its engines began powering up with Max and Dave bracing themselves before the spaceship prepares for takeoff as the seat panels lowered for Tetrax, Ben, Julie, and Emily, although it was a bit too high for the two kids, although Ben gave a thumbs-up.
"It's a bit too big for my liking.", Emily commented.
"Well, you'd better hang on tight, then. T-minus 5..., 4..., 3..., 2..., 1..., ignition!", Gorvan exclaimed as Gluto pressed a button before the spaceship took off, leaving Max and Dave outside.
Meanwhile, the spaceship was speeding too fast with Ben, Julie, and Emily's teeth shown as their mouths were practically exposed.
"So, this is what a pancake feels like!", Ben exclaimed before the ship sped out away from Earth before slowing down with Ben, Julie, and Emily's teeth covered again.
Then, Ben, Julie, and Emily noticed the Zero Gravity and were amazed as the former let go of the straps.
"Hey. Yeah! Whoo-hoo!", Ben spoke excitedly as he spun around before doing the Egyptian.
"Whoa. So amazing. It's like a dream.", Emily spoke in awe.
"Yeah. It's like we're floating with the stars.", Julie agreed.
"Initiating artificial gravity.", Tetrax spoke before pressing a button, turning on the artificial gravity.
"Uh..., Uh-oh.", Ben spoke before he fell down just as Emily and Julie landed on the ground with her feet before Ben landed with a thud on his chest.
"Space travel looks so much easier in the movies.", Ben commented.
"Well? You better get up, sleepyhead.", Julie smirked as she helped Ben up.
"She does have a point. We really should examine the watch.", Tetrax suggested.
Meanwhile, an old ship was seen siphoning energy from another ship through light pink tubes as the energy siphoned went toward the old ship before Vilgax and Kevin, who is now back in normal human form, spoke to the ship's pilots.
"Your ship will be useful in my quest for the Omnitrix. And when I recover it, I will exact my revenge on the earth boy who imprisoned me in that cursed Null Void Dimension!", Vilgax declared as he stepped forward.
"Nothing personal, meat bags. It's just business.", Kevin added before the door closed in front of him and Vilgax.
Then, Vilgax pressed a button on the panel, evidently opening the airlock and sending the pilots adrift into space as they screamed before one of his drones turned up.
"Master, we have intercepted the signals. They appear to be from the Omnitrix and Omni-Enhancer.", the drone spoke as he showed a holo map with the Omnitrix and Omni-Enhancer's locations in space present.
"Tennyson and Roosevelt? They're actually out here?!", Kevin puzzled.
"The Omnitrix and Omni-Enhancer in space? What are Tennyson and Roosevelt up to?", Vilgax puzzled.
