Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix
Chapter 9: Arrival on Zenon
Vilgax, Malware, and Kevin stood in front of Ben and Emily.
"You are both going to regret sending me into the Null Void for whatever remains of your miserable lives!", Vilgax threatened before lurching his fist toward Ben and Emily only for the two to dodge and make a break for it as they ran and hid behind one of the crates.
"Look, Vilgax, any other day, we'd pound you into the ground, but we can't do that now, not with the stakes that high.", Emily responded.
"Yeah. Both the Omnitrix and Omni-Enhancer are in self-destruct mode. Even if you get it from me, you'll just wind up getting blown to bits with the rest of the universe.", Ben agreed.
"What? Self-destruct?", Kevin puzzled in shock.
"I will take my chances.", Vilgax only responded as he and Malware proceeded onward and turned to notice that neither Ben nor Emily were there.
Meanwhile, the tethers on the Resolute came apart, causing it to fall down toward Zenon just as Ben and Emily ran as fast as they could before noticing the panel for the cargo bay door.
"That's it.", Emily realized with a grin just as Vilgax, Malware, and Kevin caught you.
"Any last pithy quips or clever observations before we destroy you and your friend, Ben Tennyson?", Malware asked.
"We'll make you a deal. We won't fight you for the Omnitrix, but you have to promise to find the creator and stop it from self-destructing.", Ben urged.
"Unacceptable!", Malware only responded.
"Seriously?! He's offering us a chance to live. To survive! What part of that is unacceptable?", Kevin asked.
"We will take our chances, osmosian halfling.", Malware responded.
"And I do not make deals!", Vilgax added.
"That's okay. Neither do we.", Ben responded with a smirk before pressing a button.
"See you later, chumps!", Emily shouted as the cargo bay doors opened, starting to suck Vilgax, Malware, and Kevin (who morphed into his mutant form) out, although they tried to get a grip on the ground before slipping and ultimately getting sent off into space.
"NOOOOOOOO!", Vilgax and Malware shouted as they, along with Kevin were sent flying away.
"Not cool, Tennyson!", Kevin shouted.
Then, Emily struggled to close the bay doors before succeeding as the bay doors closed, giving her relief as she sighed while Ben got excited.
"Yes!", Ben cheered.
Then, suddenly, Emily's Omni-Enhancer beeped as it glowed yellow and spun around like before. But this time, the Omnitrix stopped spinning before the dial then showed a black silhouette of Gluto's species inside.
"Huh? That's odd. Why would it...?", Emily began before the ship shook, knocking the two of them to the ground.
"Oh, man! I shouldn't have run off like that! Gwen and Julie probably need help right about now. Come on!", Emily urged as she got up and ran with Ben standing up.
Meanwhile, as the ship fell into Zenon, it entered through the dark stormy clouds as lightning raced around the clouds, threatening to strike at the Resolute as Gwen and Julie braced themselves.
"Come on, we can fly this thing! It's just like riding a bike.", Julie spoke before Gwen pressed a yellow button with her hand, causing metallic levers to appear and form as switches in front of Gwen and Julie.
"A huge, super high-tech, alien bike.", Gwen responded.
Then, Gorvan groaned as he then got up as best he could while opening his eyes and holding his forehead.
"Gorvan! You're all right.", Julie grinned.
"Barely... All I have now is a splitting headache to show for it.", Gorvan responded with a slight groan.
Then, Ben and Emily caught up back to the cockpit area.
"Gwen, Julie! You guys okay?", Emily asked.
"And what are you two doing?", Ben added.
"Duh. I'm trying to keep us from winding up junk pile on Zenon.", Gwen responded.
"Sorry I ran out on you guys like that. I was just...", Emily apologized.
"I know. What's past is past. Right now, we need all hands on deck.", Julie added before Ben looked to notice Gluto's remains on the levers nearby.
"Hey, what happened?", Ben puzzled.
"Good question.", Gorvan agreed.
"Gluto sacrificed himself to save us from Malware.", Julie responded.
"It's called being totally unselfish. Something you wouldn't understand.", Gwen added.
"Hey, I'm unselfish.", Ben retorted.
"For once, that's true. He helped me get to the cargo bay by getting the drones to chase him right before..., you know.", Emily responded.
"Whatever the case, at least Gluto went out like a warrior protecting you three.", Gorvan added before the ship shook and spun, knocking Ben, Gwen, Julie, Emily, and Gorvan to the ground before they got back up.
"Okay. That's not it.", Ben responded.
"I got an idea.", Emily responded as she activated her Omni-Enhancer with the dial then showing Gluto's species on the dial.
"Emily, no!", Gorvan shouted.
"I know. It'll only accelerate the countdown. But at this rate, what other choice do I have?", Emily asked before pressing the dial down.
Then, almost immediately, Emily's body quickly grew bigger and fatter to the point that her clothes could no longer fit and rip apart completely. And after that, her skin would then become light pink in color and just as slimy as Gluto's for texture as she continues to grow before, to finish the transformation, she gets twice as big as Gluto with slimy tentacles just below her huge belly.
"All right. Let's see if this big, fat blob can fly this ship.", Emily spoke in determination.
Meanwhile, Tetrax and Myaxx were running across the red hallway before the ship shook, stopping them for a moment before they continued forward urgently just as Emily then pulled certain levers with her blobby tentacles to slow the ship's descent, which was working very well just as soon as it went past the storm clouds, now being pelted by rain.
"Okay. Let's see if this will help.", Emily spoke before then lurching her two tentacles toward the big lever and then pulling it with a grunt before succeeding as the ship then moved up by 90 degrees, although still descending, before safely landing on the ground.
"Whew. I can't believe I actually did that.", the blob girl spoke in amazement.
"Well, you may be no Gluto, but I think he'd be very proud of you.", Gorvan grinned before Emily gave a slight gasp and shed tears of joy given how Gluto gave his own life to save her, Julie, and Gwen.
"Thanks, Gorvan.", Emily grinned.
"Of course. Did you happen to come up with a name for this alien, though?", Gorvan asked.
"Nope. I hope I can come up with it soon, though.", Emily replied before pressing the badge on her belly button and morphing back to human form with her clothes back on.
Just then, Tetrax and Myaxx arrived to notice Emily.
"Hey, Tetrax. What took ya?", Emily greeted.
"Emily? But where's Gluto?", Tetrax asked.
"He died a warrior's death trying to save the girls from Malware.", Gorvan responded as Ben hung his head down.
"We'd better find Azmuth.", Tetrax urged.
Later, outside at Zenon, heavy rain poured across the land as lightning danced across the sky and thunder reverberating across the air as Tetrax, Gorvan, Myaxx, Gwen, Julie, Emily, and Ben rode across the land.
"So, where do you think Azmuth might be?", Emily asked.
"Azmuth's compound is just through that valley.", Myaxx responded.
Eventually, the group made their way toward Azmuth's compound across the heavy rain before entering the lab, which was decorated with vines as far as the eye could see.
"Must be the gardener's day off.", Gwen spoke.
"Hello. Anybody home?", Ben asked.
"Looks like there's no one there.", Julie spoke.
"Tell me you didn't bring us all the way here for nothing.", Tetrax spoke.
"My thoughts exactly.", Gorvan agreed.
"The compound must've been overrun. Azmuth was always worried his lab would be discovered by those after the Omnitrix.", Myaxx responded before she and the others stepped forward, not noticing the yellow dots glowing around the vines.
"But I thought he was just being paranoid.", Myaxx added before Gwen and Julie stopped and looked at the bottom right side to notice something moving.
"Any chance he escaped?", Tetrax asked.
Then, the vines moved away, revealing a sort of flytrap, which opened up to show a feral florauna's head as it snarled and leapt up, causing Gwen and Julie to scream before Tetrax blasted it, making it fall. Then, more feral Florauna emerged and attacked as they lurched their vines toward the group.
"Wildvines!", Ben exclaimed.
"Actually, they're Florauna. But you got the wild part right!", Emily responded as she and Ben prepared their weapons and fired at the Florauna, which still lurched their vines at the group, who were still firing at the Florauna before vines began to move in from the left with Gorvan the first to notice.
"Florauna at port side!", Gorvan shouted before Myaxx then fired at the Florauna at the left with one of the Florauna then launching their seed pods toward the group with Tetrax creating a sort of shield for the second seed before the third knocked Ben, Gwen, Emily, and Julie back to the ground just before the Florauna wrapper themselves around Tetrax, only for him to create spikes to get them off him.
After that, one of the Florauna lurched toward Ben before Julie shouted.
"Ben, look out!", Julie shouted while pushing Ben out of the path of the Florauna, only to get caught by it with Ben landing on the ground.
"Ben! Are you okay?", Gwen asked.
"I think so.", Ben responded.
"But what about Julie?", Emily asked.
"Help!", Julie shouted before the trio saw Julie trying to get herself free only to get moved back as she screamed.
"Julie! Going hero!", Ben shouted as he then went for his Omnitrix.
"Are you crazy?!", Emily shouted.
"The self-destruct will accelerate!", Myaxx added as she herself was surrounded by the Florauna.
"I don't care!", Ben retorted angrily before slamming the dial down.
When he did, Ben's veins bulged outward and went right to his eyes before they turned green and he opened his eyes and went around as he grew two new green eyes and two new arms, giving him a total of four as they turned red before he did a pose and grunted as he hopped forward just as the Florauna that caught Julie moved away.
"Ben!", Julie shouted.
"Hold on! I'm coming!", Ben shouted as he tried to get to her only for the vines to keep him from going any further.
Then, the florauna's fly trap closed as it then slunk back into its hole as Gwen and Emily saw it in shock and worry before then running off toward it.
"NOOOO!", Four Arms shouted before he forcefully tore the vines apart and ran for the hole just as Gwen and Emily managed to jump through it toward the Florauna before the hole was closed up with the other Florauna retreating back up with Tetrax turning to notice Four Arms trying to tear away the door on the ground, but with little to no success.
"JULIE!", Four Arms shouted.
