Regina walked into Granny's and greeted the new arrivals. She gave August and Lux a smile.
« Hello everyone, already, as mayor, I would like to officially welcome you to Storybrooke. You know we're not that different »
She took her lover's hand
« I too have made a new start. I don't know yet what the future holds for us but I'm sure of one thing, we have no reason to be afraid, because whatever may happen now, we will all face it together »
August brought her back to him, close to her lips with a big smile. He's never been so proud of her.
« Well said, my queen »
But Belle's entrance interrupted them. She had managed to come back thanks to Morpheus and her son in her dream who gave her a true love kiss. She had definitely cut ties with Rumple. Hook offered to protect her from the Dark One to take her on his boat.
Moments later, Henry had found a strange word, he contacted his foster mother. This word came from a certain Edmond Dantes, a certain Count of Monte Cristo who was one of the new visitors. Regina had used him to kill the Charmings shortly before the curse, and someone had ordered her to do so now.
And that someone was none other than the Evil Queen who had survived. Regina was with Henry. The evil queen gave him a mocking smile.
« Miss me »
She turned to Henry.
« Hi sweetie, mommy's back! »
« I killed you »
Regina was devastated, she worried about August's reaction to her lie, she refused to let the Evil Queen ruin her happiness again
« Did you really think it would be that easy ? You got rid of me », she annoyed.
She taught them that she had the count's heart and therefore controlled it.
As Regina fought against him and tried with all her might to stop him, August arrived with Luxe.
« August don't come near you » she cried
He didn't understand what was going on, he wanted to help her but her tone was very convincing. Regina, by accident, and so afraid that Edmond would harm the princely couple threw her sword at his heart. She was distraught. August rushed over to her and hugged her.
« I didn't mean to do this, I'm sorry for what you saw »
« You did what you could », he reassured her, « really »
« It's impossible », Luxe exclaimed when she saw the evil queen
The couple turned around. August was more lost and parted with her girlfriend, dejected.
« Regina, what does that mean? »
« What that means, my dear », replied the evil queen, « is that my other half is a weakling. The inhabitants of secret stories aren't the only ones who want to keep their story in the shadows. »
She disappeared in a cloud of smoke
August was extremely disappointed, he took his daughter's hand and left without looking away from Regina.
« August, wait »
« So like that you separated from your other half, I thought we were telling each other everything, that we trusted each other », he got offended.
« I killed her, I didn't think she was coming back »
« Well there she is », he cried.
His daughter wanted to calm him down but she couldn't come, she saw fear and disappointment in his eyes.
« I think I need to get away a bit, Regina », he calmed down, « to digest it all. I'm not leaving you but for now I want to be more with my daughter. And you have to deal with that », he announced with disgust.
Regina let them go, without saying a word, Snow White and Charmant put their hands on her shoulder to comfort her.
« Regina it's not your fault », added Blanche
« Right », she laughed with a few tears, trying not to be offended by what August had told her. « I could have kept the Evil Queen inside, where she was my problem, and that's what August seems to think too », she sayd disappointed.
« Regina, this is actually what she wants. She wants you to doubt yourself and cause discord between you two but she won't succeed. You are strong, both of you have already faced a lot. For you this may be new for you but I've faced the evil queen before, and I never once did by running away. We have to face her head on, get ahead of her plan and try to do it as quickly as possible so that you finally regain the confidence of the man you love », she smiled tenderly.
