Scooby-Doo Meets the Undertale Monsters

ACT II: Three More Meddling Kids

The other half of Mystery Inc, along with Frisk, Asriel, and Undyne, had arrived at the scene of the crime. Already, Velma had spotted a clue.

"Jinkies!" Velma said as she knelt close to Undyne's ajar front door, "This lock wasn't picked or broken. It's been melted!"

Indeed, right underneath the doorknob, right where the keyhole once was, there was now a burnt hole with a chunk of previously melted metal hanging out.

"Jeepers. How could that happen?" Daphne said.

Undyne rolled her remaining eye and said, "Lots of Monsters have magic. Whoever did this must know fire magic."

Fred nodded, "I see. Like how Monster Kid was able to freeze the ground earlier."

"Look, we're wasting time here," Undyne said irritably, "I already searched the place, and there were no real clues. Unless you count the smashed pieces of glass from when it smashed out through the window. And nothing was taken except my armor."

"Weren't there any footprints or hair or fur?" Velma asked.

Undyne groaned, clearly irritated by the situation, and answered, "No! I keep telling you, there were no clues in the house at all!"

"Hey guys! Hey! I found a clue!" shouted Asriel, who had already run inside while the rest of the group had been studying the lock.

Everyone else walked in to find Asriel standing next to the vacant armor stand. He was excitedly pointing at something on the floor near the base of the stand.

"There! Right there! See!" Asriel said as he pointed a dusting of darkly colored powder on the floor.

Undyne walked over and took a look. "Huh. Some clue. It's just dirt," she said.

Velma knelt down to take a closer look and said, "Hmmm. . . I don't know. . .It looks more like. . .brown sand."

Asriel smiled hopefully and asked, "But it's still a clue, right?"

Velma thought for a moment and said, "Well, I'm not exactly sure what this is. . .but yes. It is a clue."

"YES! I found a clue! Woo-hoo!" Asriel cheered, his eyes lit up excitedly.

Frisk smiled proudly as she held her right hand up to her brother, who then gave her a gleeful high-five.

As Velma pushed some of the powder into a small zip-top bag, Undyne put a hand on her hip and said, "Okay, I'm not a detective or anything, but I don't see how a melted lock and a pile dirt or brown sand or whatever can solve this mystery."

"Hey, every clue counts," Fred said defensively.

"Whatever, dweebs," Undyne remarked, "Speaking of dweebs, is your beanpole friend and cowardly dog ever gonna come help us out? Not that they'd be much help anyway, but-."

Fred marched over to Undyne and said, "You lay off our pals! They've helped solved more mysteries than we can count! So knock it off!"

"Or what?" Undyne said, visibly unimpressed.

"I can bench 220!" Fred warned as he leaned in close to the Monster.

Daphne grabbed Fred by the forearm and pulled him back. "Alright, arlight, break it up. Anyway, we probably should check up on the guys."

"And MK too!" Asriel chimed in.

In the house Papyrus shared with his brother, Shaggy and Scooby sat at the kitchen table, slurping up piles and piles of Papyrus spaghetti as the skeleton looked on with delight.

Shaggy swallowed and said, "Oh man, I'm sure glad remembering that Velma told us about a skeleton Monster that cooks spaghetti brought us out of that faint, huh Scoob?"

Scooby slurped up a long rope of spaghetti and nodded. "Ruh-huh! Ruh-huh!"

Monster Kid sat at the table as well, slurping up spaghetti at a much slower pace. "Yo, I'm the one who thought of mentioning the spaghetti to wake you guys back up. Anyone could see how much you guys like to eat," he said, then he turned to smile at the skeleton and said, "Anyway, yo, your spaghetti really is awesome, Papyrus!".

"NYEH HEH HEH! INDEED IT IS! AND I AM GLAD TO FINALLY MEET THOSE WITH APPETITES LARGE ENOUGH TO BE WORTHY OF THE GREAT PAPYRUS!" the skeleton said with pride.

MK then turned back to Scooby and Shaggy and said, "Yo. . .So, you guys aren't afraid of us anymore, right?"

Shaggy waved his hand and said, "Nah, you guys are alright. It's the monsters and ghosts that like chasing us that we've got a problem with."

"Frisk said that Mystery Inc.'s job is to catch criminal that dress up as monsters," MK said, "Yo, do you get chased by them alot?"

Shaggy laughed nervously and said, "Man, you have no idea! Like, it never stops! Scoob and me are always on our toes, trying to outrun or outsmart whatever creep has it in for us."

"MYSTERIES AND MONSTERS, YOU SAY?" Papyrus remarked, sounding intrigued, "WELL, SUCH A LIFE SOUNDS QUITE APPEALING TO ME! AFTER ALL, WHAT IS A MYSTERY BUT A GREAT BIG SERIES OF PUZZLES!"

"I'd take a nice safe nonscary puzzle over a spooky mystery any day!" Shaggy said.

"Re too!" Scooby added.

"IF YOU SAY SO. BUT MAY I ASK HOW YOU OUTSMART SUCH CREEPS?" Papyrus asked.

Shaggy sat back in his chair and said, "Well, sometimes I give em a little ventriloquism."

MK cocked his head in confusion and asked, "Yo, what's that?"

Suddenly, Shaggy's voice appeared to come out of one of the kitchen cabinets, saying, "Help! I'm stuck in here! Let me out!"

"I'LL SAVE YOU, SHAGGY!" Papyrus declared, and he bounded over to the cabinet and flung it open. He looked inside in confusion and said, "HUH? WHERE DID YOU- HEY, WAIT A MINUTE!"

Shaggy and Scooby shared a laugh at this, and MK remarked, "Yo, that's pretty cool. What else can you do?"

"Well, sometimes a quick-change is enough to throw em off," Shaggy said, and he and Scooby quickly ducked underneath the table. When they came back up, Shaggy was dressed in a clown suit, complete with makeup, while Scooby was dressed in a pilot's outfit with matching hat and goggles.

"Hi kids! Uncle Happytime here once again with your favorite dog star, King of the Wild Blue Yonder!" Shaggy declared.

"Ri, rids!" Scooby said with a friendly wave.

"YO! How'd you do that!?" MK said with wide eyed amazement.

Shaggy and Scooby ducked back under the table and came back up as their normal selves.

"Sorry! Like, a coward never reveals his secrets," Shaggy said with a chuckle.

"looks like i'm not the only one who can use shortcuts," Sans said.

"ZOINKS! Where'd he come from?!" Shaggy exclaimed as he stared at the shorter skeleton.

"Ri ron't row?" Scooby said as he slid back a bit from the new arrival.

"heya. i'm Sans," he said in a deep, smooth voice, "i'm Papyrus' brother. i'm a little different from him though. he's all about the puzzles, but i'm more of a bonehead."

Shaggy chuckled and nudged Scooby. "Like, hey! That's a pretty good one, huh Scoob? Bonehead!"

Scooby nodded and said, "Reah! Ronehead! Reeheeheeheeeheee!" Then he turned away and said in puzzlement, "Ri ron't ret it. . ."

"PLEASE DON'T EMBARRASS ME, BRO!" Papyrus groaned.

"what's wrong, Paps?" Sans questioned, still wearing a smile, "did you break your funnybone?"

MK snickered a bit, and Sans turned his attention back to Shaggy and Scooby and said, "so i hear you mystery inc guys aren't exactly cool with monsters?"

Shaggy smiled awkwardly and said, "Well the monsters back home never made us spaghetti."

"ah, i'm just pulling your legs. i get it. you've had to deal with fakes rather than the genuine articles," Sans replied as he stood with his arms folded behind his back. Then he gave a nod and said, "it'd probably best to leave it all in the pasta."

"Roh roy," Scooby said with a shake of his head.

At that moment, Shaggy's cellphone started to ring, and he took it our of his pocket and answered it. "Hello?"

"Hey, Shaggy. Are you, Scooby, and Monster Kid alright?" said Daphne from the other end.

"Well, we got chased by the horrible Haunted Armor, but now we're having a groovy first lunch at Papyrus's place," Shaggy replied.

"Well, we found a couple of clues at Undyne's house, and now we're going to head to Troiel Dreemur's house, seeing as she's one of Monsters Velma got in contact with when she planned this trip. We should probably meet up there. Monster Kid knows the way, so we'll see you there."

Shaggy stared at his phone in disbelief and said, "Like, leave the warmth and safety of Papyrus' house of all you can eat spaghetti to go out into a city where a menacing armored ghost is roaming around? No thanks!"

"Guys, come on-," Daphne began, but she was cut off by another voice.

"Let it go, Daphne," said Velma's voice, "If they want to miss out on Toriel's famous cinnamon butterscotch pie, then that's their choice."

ZING!

Shaggy and Scooby both shot right out the door of the skeleton brothers' house, their chairs rocking back and forth after their speedy exit.

". . .Yo, they sure-," Monster Kid began, but he was interrupted when Scooby zipped back in, put the little Monster on his back, and zipped back out of the house.

". . .well," Sans said calmly, "i guess that's just what they doo."

"THEY ARE A PUZZLE THAT EVEN I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, CANNOT SOLVE!" Papyrus declared as he threw up his arms in resignation.

Fred and Daphne chuckled after Shaggy promptly ended the call.

"Good one, Velma!" Daphne said after getting control of her mirth.

Curious, Frisk posed a question,"So, where were they?"

"They were eating spaghetti at Papyrus's house," Daphne replied.

"Heh. I could see him getting along with them," Undyne remarked with a half smile, then her smile slipped slightly and she said, "The Kid sure gets along with him pretty well, for sure."

Velma blinked and asked, "Is. . .that a bad thing?"

"It's nothing," Undyne said quickly, "The Kid just used to look up to me a lot more in the past. Followed me around like a puppy. Kept having to look out for him and stuff. Annoying."

Asriel stepped over to Undyne and said, "Well, MK still likes you. He still thinks you're strong and brave-."

Undyne quickly pulled herself out of the slouch she was unconsciously falling into and said, "Whatever! I. . . Look, Papyrus is a great guy. A little weird, but in a good way. One time, he exited through the window of my old house. You remember that, Frisk?"

As Frisk smiled and nodded, Velma turned to the new window and said, "He left through the window too. . .hmmm. . ."

"Hey," Frisk said innocently, "I'm kinda hungry. Let's all head home and have some of Mom's pie."

"I'm in!" Asriel said excitedly.

Undyne waved a hand and said, "I'd love to, but I'm not all that hungry at moment."

Frisk stared at Undyne and said, "But. . .cinnamon butterscotch pie!"

Undyne shook her head and said, "Just not in the mood. I doubt I'll feel like myself until I find the lowlife who stole my armor and get it back."

Fred gave Undyne a nod and said, "Well, we're on the case."

"I'm not holding my breath, dweebs," Undyne replied dryly.

Shaggy and Scooby both made a show of licking their plates, and then put them down to reveal the hearts in their eyes.

"Like, wow ma'am. I would go through a hundred spooky mysteries for just one more slice of that pie," Shaggy said, evidently in a state of euphoria.

"Re too. . ." Scooby sighed.

Mystery Inc, along with Frisk, Asriel, and Monster Kid, were all sitting at the table in Toriel Dreemur's kitchen; each enjoying a large slice of the elder Boss Monster's famous cinnamon butterscotch pie. While everyone sitting was smiling, the elder Monster didn't seem all the happy, in spite of Shaggy's praise.

"Very well, but I'm afraid there won't be any more for a while," Toriel replied, "I spilled a whole bottle of cinnamon three days ago. I was nervous about your visit, to tell the truth. Took forever to clean up."

Curious, Velma said, "That's not the message I got from your emails."

Toriel sighed and said, "I hardly would have turned you kids away from visiting our new town. Be that as it may, Mystery Inc. is well known for catching monsters."

"But not REAL Monsters," Daphne insisted, "And I have to say, you've all been wonderful. And those robes suit you perfectly. That fabric and color is just yummy. You need to tell me who your tailor is!"

Toriel blinked in surprise and said, "Oh. . .this old thing? It's nothing special. But back to the matter at hand. I was concerned about how the other Monsters would react."

Asriel smiled up at his mother and said, "It's okay, Mom! They only catch criminals and bad guys! That's good, right?"

Toriel gave her son a concerned look, then looked back to the humans and their dog and said, "Well, there is the problem of that suit of armor running amok. And those type of things seem to be attracted to you."

"Like, you got that right," Shaggy agreed in a distressed tone, "That creep already chased me, Scoob, and Monster Kid."

"It did?!" Toriel said, her eyes wide with alarm, "Then this is even worse than I thought if the children of this town are in danger!" Toriel then raised her arms and opened up her palms, and fireballs appeared in her hands.

"Zoinks!" Shaggy shouted as Scooby quickly hid under the table.

"This fiend shall not set foot in my home, or in my school, or anywhere near my children!" Toriel declared strongly.

Monster Kid gulped and said nervously, "It's okay, Mrs. Dreemur. Shaggy and Scooby kept me safe, and I can handle myself with my ice powers."

Toriel looked down at MK, then closed her palms to dispel the fireballs. She let har arms fall to her sides and said, "Children. . .please understand. It is best to avoid dangerous situations. Who knows what this phantom could do."

Fred held his right palm up and said with a smile, "It's nothing we can't handle, ma'am. We've done this hundreds of times before."

"Be that as it may," Toriel said sternly, "It would be for the best that you keep your distance from the children."

"HUH!?" MK shouted.

"That's not fair," Frisk pouted.

"But we can help! I already found a clue for them!" Asriel protested.

Toriel smiled, but shook her head and said, "This mystery business is clearly unsafe for you. Now, you've all had your pie, so now why don't you all go out and play and leave the mysteries and phantoms to Mystery Inc. Go on, my children. Go have fun."

"Solving the mystery would have been fun, Mom," Frisk said sadly.

"Frisk," Toriel warned sternly, her hands on her hips.

Asriel stood up and said, "Okay, Mom. We'll go have fun. Come on, let's go."

"Yo! But Shaggy and Scooby are my friends!" MK protested, "I wanna help them."

"Aw, it's okay, buddy," Shaggy said kindly, "Leave the running from ghosts to the professional cowards."

"Alright," MK said dejectedly as he stood up with his two friends, and Asriel led the trio out of the house.

After the kids had left, Velma said, "No offense, Mrs. Dreemur, but I don't think those kids plan on truly staying out of this mystery."

Fred nodded and said, "Yeah. . . They're probably a lot like us when we were there age. Meddling kids."

Daphne sighed and said in resignation, "Always got to get involved until the mystery is solved."

Toriel put a hand to her chin in thought and said to herself, "Well. . .I'm going to have to address that sooner or later. . . Preferably sooner."

Shaggy chuckled and said, "Like, don't worry! As long as Scoob and I are around, that ghost will be too busy chasing us to bother with them." Shaggy's eyes then widened and he said, "Wait, what am I saying! That's a bad things!"

Scooby nodded and whimpered, "Reah. . ."

Velma got up from her chair and said, "Well, anyway, thank you very much for the pie. We'll be sure to wrap up this haunted armor mystery as quickly as we can. We'd best be off to find more clues."

Toriel nodded curtly and said, "Very well, although I should warn you that although the Barrier might have been hard to break, the peaceful relationship between humans and monsters that we've managed to put together is not." She then shot the entirety of Mystery Inc. a sharp glare and said, "So please, stop and consider the possibility that you may be doing more harm than good."

The gang could exchange shocked and confused glances after that warning.

Some time later, Frisk, Asriel, and Monster Kid all walked out of Grillby's Pub, all of them looking rather annoyed and let down.

"I can't believe we didn't learn anything," Asriel said with a frown.

"Yo, it's not our fault Grillby doesn't talk much," MK said, trying to encourage his friend, "And Red Bird wasn't there to translate for him."

Frisk gave MK a look and said, "You do know that Red Bird was trust making their 'translations' up, right?"

". . .Anyway," MK said with a deadpanned expression, "Do you really think Grillby is a suspect?"

"The lock to Undyne's house was melted, and Grillby is made of fire. It could be him," Asriel explained.

Frisk folded her arms as she walked and said, "If only we could find one more clue."

"Heh. You dopes have never had a clue to begin with!" sneered a nasty female voice.

MK groaned and said, "Oh no, not her!"

The kids all turned to see a tall, purple reptilian Monster with freckles on her face and long dark hair that covered her eyes. She wore a long purple jacket, a white shirt with blue trims, a pair of torn jeans, and a pair of black shoes. The Monster swaggered over to them and said, "What are you little kiddies hanging around Grillby's for, anyway? Shouldn't you be back at home drinking warm milk from your bottles?"

Asriel frowned at her and said, "Leave us alone, Susie! Don't you have anything better to do?"

Susie hesitated for a moment, then she remarked, "You know what? I think I do have something better to do right now." She then flashed a malicious grin full of sharp, yellowed teeth and said, "I can be biting little babies' faces off!"

Asriel shrunk back a bit at this, while Monster Kid stepped forward and said, "Y-yo! You h-had better-!"

"Just ignore her, guys," Frisk said cooly, giving Susie a sidelong glance, "She wouldn't dare try anything with everyone watching. She knows she'd just end up in jail."

"It'd be worth it," Susie said bluntly as she stood menacingly before the younger children, "As if any prison could break me."

Compelled to ACT, Frisk held a hand out to the purple Monster and said, "Susie, all this bullying and being mean and hurting people isn't the way. You could've been having fun with friends all this time."

Susie glared at the human and said, "If violence is not the way, then why does it taste so good?"

Frisk shook her head and said, "No. It's not worth it, Susie."

"Yo, forget it, Frisk," MK said, "She's just jealous because she doesn't have any friends."

Susie pointed at the trio and said, "You guys are just a bunch of losers! Just like pretty much everyone else nowadays. All the Monsters here are all weak human lovers now, and don't get me started on those lame humans." Susie shook her head in frustrated dismay and turned to leave, saying aloud to herself, "Dang it, things need to get shaken up around here. Monsters. . .humans. . . they all oughta get smacked upside the head a few times."

After Susie had turned a corner and was out of sight and earshot, Frisk remarked, "I can't believe Clam Girl said that she and her could become friends."

Asriel looked questioningly at Frisk and said, "So, you're giving up on her?"

Frisk quickly shook her head and said, "No. I still want to try to SAVE her, but I can't see how she would think we'd get along the way Susie was back then. . .and now."

"Yo! You're awesome, Frisk!" MK said gleefully, "But I could totally take Susie on if I had to."

"Forget about Susie for now," Frisk said, "Let's focus on solving this mystery."

MK nodded and grinned, "Right! And nothing's gonna stop us!"

Asriel gasped and pointed upward and ahead of them. "How about that!?" he exclaimed.

SLAM!

The Haunted Armor landed solidly right in front of the kids, and then stood up tall and shouted at them in a thunderous voice, "FOOLISH CHILDREN! YOU MEDDLE IN MY AFFAIRS!? YOU WISH TO AID MYSTERY INC.!? THEN FACE MY WRATH!"

"RUN!" Monster Kid shouted.

The three children all turned and ran, but the Haunted Armor pursued them swiftly.

Asriel turned to his friends and exclaimed, "Where are we going!?"

"Yo! To that Karate School over there!" MK shouted as he gestured to the place in question with his head.

"Why there?" Frisk asked.

"Yo! Trust me! I've got an idea!" MK said.

The three kids quickly entered the building, and the Haunted Armor arrived at the door about a minute behind them. It kicked open the door and stomped into the building, only to have it's right hand suddenly grabbed and pulled.

"Finally! We've been waiting forever for you to get here!" came Asriel's voice.

The Armor looked down to see the young Monster dressed in a blue sweatshirt with the word "DIRECTOR" printed on the back, and a bright red cap on his head.

"Come on! Come on! We go live in a few seconds!" Asriel said as he dragged the Armor over to a thick wooden board balanced lengthwise across two cinder blocks. Nearby stood Frisk, who wore a white lab coat and a nurse's cap as she held a black doctor's bag in her left hand. Closer to the wooden board stood Monster Kid, who was wearing a white karate uniform with a black belt around his waist.

"Ready?" MK asked with an eager smile.

"Ready!" Asriel said with a nod as he pulled out his smartphone and held it up to record.

"Action!" MK declared.

Asriel tapped the screen of the phone, and MK looked at the camera and said, "Yo! Hey there karate fans! Today we are going to demonstrate to you how to break wooden boards. . .With. . .Your. . .FACE! Yo! Now remember, do not try this at home. We're professionals, and we've also got a trained medic on standby!"

Frisk raised her right hand a waved while keeping a straight face.

"Yo! So first, let's have our special guest give it a go!" MK said as he ran over to the Haunted Armor and nudged it forward so that it was on camera and standing behind the wooden board.

"Alright, Haunted Armor! It's time!" MK said with enthusiasm, "Break that board. . .With. . .You. . .FACE!"

The Armor stared at MK for a moment, then it stared long and hard at Asriel, then long and hard at Frisk. After a moment of awkward staring, then Armor suddenly quickly bent down and struck the board face first, and the strong metal helmet easily broke the board in two.

There was another moment of silence, this time in stunned shock. Then MK laughed nervously and said, "Heh-heh. Yo, I. . .I didn't expect it to actually do it. . ."

"What do we do now?" Asriel said fearfully.

"Use your phone," MK said, sounding strangely relaxed.

"To call for help?" Asriel asked.

"No, to play some music."

"What!?"

"Yo! Trust me!"

"Again?"

"Just do it, yo!"

Asriel frowned, but nevertheless went into the music app and hit Shuffle All. "Okay, it's gonna play something. Now what?"

"Now we RUUUUUUUUN!" MK shouted.

*One Fine Day by The Offspring*

If I had a perfect day

I would have it start this way

Open up the fridge and have a tall boy

Yeah

The kids burst out the door and ran down the street with the Haunted Armor right behind them.

Then I'd meet up with my friends

Head out to the game again

Monster Kid was bringing up the rear, allowing the Armor to make a grab at him.

We don't even really care who wins (hey) wins (hey) 1, 2, 3

Monster Kid cried out and jumped up, only to land on Asriel's shoulders.

Now excitement seems to grow

When we're hangin' with the bro's

When we're chillin' and we pound a case of stroh's

The Armor reached out at them again, causing Asriel to jump up with MK still on his shoulders, and then land on Frisk's shoulders.

Now the game is cool to see

You can high five on TV

Count the riot on the 1, 2, 3

Frisk struggled to carry the weight of two Monster children as she continued to run. It looked like a suit of armor was chasing a living totem pole.

Operation is in sight

And the field is open wide

The trio approached a street lamp, and Asriel reached out a grabbed it as they passed, which swung them 90 degrees and flung them off to the left.

When you break it then you know you're still alive

The Haunted Armor made a dive for them, only to end up colliding with the street lamp with a loud clang.

If the cops don't make you pay

And you make your getaway

The three kids landed safely on a sofa being moved out of a furniture store.

Then you know

That's one fine day

"LET'S DANCE!" Mettaton shouted as he rolled in suddenly.

The three kids all jumped up and proceeded to dance to the guitar solo. Asriel did a rendition of sorts of the dancing from Ylvis' The Fox, Monster Kid Moonwalked back and forth, and Frisk stood and Flossed with a straight face.

Asriel suddenly stopped and said with wide eyes, "Wait, why did we stop to dance?! We're being chased!"

The Haunted Armor could be heard snarling as it charged towards them.

On that day before we're through

We could torch a car or two

"Smile for the cameras!" Mettaton declared grandly.

Then have ourselves another tall boy

Yeah

The kids all screamed, and Asriel was the first to start running.

Water hoses and batons

That's the real game that's on

I don't really-

Asriel was in such a rush to get away that he tripped over his own two feet and fell forward. His phone fell out of his pocket, and as he fumbled with it as he fell, he ended up changing the song.

*Benny Hill Theme*

"Oops! Sorry, MK!" Asriel said as comical saxophone music began to play.

"Whatever! Just run!" MK shouted, and he, Frisk, and Asriel fled into the furniture store, followed by the Armor.

The kids climbed over sofas, jumped over chairs, and tossed pillows around in an attempt to loose the determined phantom. Eventually they all began jumping from bed to bed in an attempt to escape, but the Haunted Armor seemed to have no qualms in doing the same. However, the Armor eventually landed on a bed so soft that it sunk down into the mattress rather than jumping off, giving the kids a chance to put some distance between them and the phantom.

The children made it to the back exit of the furniture, and they all jumped onto a large, rectangular loading dolly big enough for the three of them. A nearby worker yelled at them in protest as they rode off on it like a giant skateboard. They rode down the street for a while, and when they chanced a glance behind them, they could see the Haunted Armor pursuing them, but clearly losing steam.

MK couldn't resist sticking his tongue at the armor. This clearly angered the phantom, and it suddenly held a flaming spear in one hand and hurled it at them.

Frisk watched in shock, while MK and Asriel cried out in fear and leaned in on the human girl for some semblance of protection. The flaming spear flew in a large arc and then crashed down a good two yards behind them, exploding in a small, crackling burst.

As the song on Asriel's phone ending, Asriel sighed in relief and said, "Whew! It missed!"

Frisk looked thoughtfully at the point of impact and said, "Yeah. It wasn't even close. It's almost like it didn't even try. . ."

The dolly suddenly came to a halt, and the kids turned to see that Fred had stopped it with his foot. The rest of Mystery Inc. was there as well.

"Are you kids alright?" Fred asked in concern.

Asriel trembled a bit, but replied, "Pretty good for three kids that were just chased down by a possessed suit of armor."

Daphne looked out into the distance and said, "Well, it looks like it's gone now."

MK visibly calmed down and said, "Yo. . .then we're finally safe."

Shaggy gulped and said, "Like, I don't think so. . ." He then pointed at the crowd of Monsters that had started to gather around the group.

"There they are! There's the trouble makers!" one voice called out angrily.

Mystery Inc, along with the three younger kids, could only shrink down in on themselves as the mob closed in on them, bringing with them a foreboding sense of impending doom.
