1. User Guide

Hello!

Welcome to my first official KOTLC fanfiction. The fanfic part starts next chapter. This is just a user's guide to how this story works.

First, this is a discography, not a story with paragraphs, perfect grammar, and plot. Each chapter designates one album (or EP) that the band (Kids With a Dream) released. There is a musical description of each song (tempo, production choices, occasional lyric mentions, etc.) as well as a piece (or several pieces, as some of them are) of trivia for the song. Each album has an album description written at the top, in vaguely the style of the descriptions that Apple sometimes writes for albums released by big name artists, and is dated.

Second, I know that this fandom has some pretty serious shipping wars, so, just like I said in the description, this is one hundred percent Fitzphie/Sophitz and zero percent Keephie. Team Foster-Keefe is platonic only in this fic. The second most important ship to this AU is Tiana. Also, there's also a ship for Keefe and I'd like to make it clear that I only ship them in the context of this fic, not in KOTLC itself. Also, I did the math (or tried to) and came to the conclusion that they were only, like three or four years apart, which is not a big deal between adults, and they are most certainly adults when they meet and when they get together).

Third, every reviewer to this story gets a piece of trivia about a character or family (depending on how major the family is; like, one review won't necessarily get you the entire Sencen family story, but you can get info on, like, Wylie and Maruca's family, or Marella's family). It is all but certain that I have already figured out where your family of choice fits into this AU, seeing as I managed to incorporate most, if not all, of the cast of characters from KOTLC. If you don't want the trivia, just let me know in the review.

Fourth, there's a fairly good chance that one-shots, two-shots, or other mini stories will be posted that take place in this universe. I can't place these separately in a series on FFN, but I will probably just put them in their own fic called, like, "Kids With a Dream Outtakes" or something similar. Probably, none of these will be longer than 3k words, but I also might get along to writing the full fic (which I estimated to be worth 14k-20k words, at least the way I was planning to write it) someday, in which case that would also be its own story.

Fifth, each album is titled after a book, but the album timeline does not completely line up with the book timeline.
