A couple of days later, the group of 5 got their schedules. They all opened their schedules at the same moment because they didn't want to waste time seeing if they shared any classes or at least one person from their group. When they opened the schedules, they looked like this.

Avy, Quinn, and Colt shared Advanced History while Are and Calli shared Standard. Quinn and Colt shared Advanced Math while Avy, Are, and Calli shared Standard Math. Quinn, Colt, and Calli shared Advanced Science. Then Avy, Are, and Calli shared Film Study while Quinn and Colt shared Computer Programming. No one shared their 6th-period class. They all shared Advanced Engish, Cross Country, Fencing and Hand-to-Hand Combat, and Remedial Goodness (obviously).
After the 5 figured all that out, they learned hat they'd go to Auradon Prep in 2 days, which means that they will have been in Auradon a week before finally going to school. They were all excited for their different classes in different ways. Quinn was relaxed(ish) and smiling. Calli couldn't stop talking about what might happen in the classes and reading her book. Colt was reading the Auradon Prep School Book and studying the pages on the classes and the school rules. Are was joking around and happy as well. And Avy was working out and stretching and practicing fighting by herself. Colt had already completed all the medical forms without a problem (thankfully they all thought), so there was no need for anyone to come and involved themselves in things that they had no business being in and where they were complete intruders.
Anyway, the 4 Original VK's came in along with Ben, this is what they walked in on.
"Hey!" Ben called out. He received some answers in return. Calli looked up from her book and jerked her head up to the ceiling in a "'sup" motion. Are and Quinn turned towards them and did the same. Colt looked, inclined his head, and turned back to his reading while Avy just grunted. They weren't sure if Avy was acknowledging them or not though. Ben just smiled from the reactions while the older siblings seemed offended. He just clapped his hands once while clasping his hands, and asked, "So, how's it going?" Then he received an answer.
"Pretty cool, I guess. I mean, we're just chillin' right now," Quinn responded. Colt nodded his head in agreement, absentmindedly. Are flashed a mischievous smile and remarked, "Except Avy. She's burning instead of chilling." Calli and Colt both looked up from their readings and quirked an eyebrow at him while Quinn just turned towards him and wore an expression as if saying, Really? That's what you've got to say? Even Avy paused for a moment, looked at him quizzically before going back at it.
"What?" Are innocently asked. "It's true." Ben just shook his head and went ahead to ask them the question he and the others cam here for.
"Anyway, we were wondering if you all would like to come to Enchanted Lake with us for a pool party before school, do you want to go?" The response he received, he did not expect at all.
Avy stumbled which caused her to start falling towards the couch, but managed to flip over it, but accidentally fell into Colt who leaped up when the question was asked. When she fell into Colt, he toppled towards the lamp which was about to hit Are's head but Quinn pushed him out of the way into Calli who then fell and her book went flying towards Quinn's head but Avy shoved him out of the way and the book hit her on her arm. She stumbled backward landing to the side of the couch and tripped causing another lamp to tilt towards her and it smashed right on her upper back, causing her to let out a small quiet cry. Then it was all over. After a moment of silence, Mal chuckled then the other 3 VKs started laughing as well. Soon all 4 of them are guffawing over the amazing domino series. Ben stared at them with a mixture of confusion, disapproval, and horror. The 5 strewn over the couch area glared at their older siblings offended with a slight hint of hurt. They all stood up and without a word started to clean things up. Ben walked over them and helped, but before they finished, he saw that Avy was injured.
"Avy, you're bleeding!" Immediately, Are and Quinn was looking at her concerned. Mal and the 3 stopped laughing after they heard that. Quinn walked over to Avy and stood to the side of her slightly behind. He inhaled a bit sharply before saying, "Colt, could you grab the first aid kit?" Colt nodded and set off to grab it. Calli and Are went to the older siblings, not at all gently but not too hostile, said that they should leave. They started protesting, but the pair firmly escorted them out then closed the door and locked it. They turned to Ben, but before kicking him out, Ben said, "I think I should leave so I won't be in your way." and they were all grateful for that. But right before he opened the door, under his breath, he angrily said, "And find out what is wrong with them!" He closed the door behind him and Colt set to work. They sat Avy down on the couch and he asked, "How badly does it hurt?" Avy began to shrug but slightly winced before she could finish the action. Colt smiled softly and said, "I think that answers my question." He turned to others and started giving instructions.
"Calli, could you clean up the lamp and make sure there are no pieces of glass remaining on the floor? Are, could you lock the door then soak a cloth? Quinn, if you could hold Avy still, that'd be good" Everyone instantly got to work. Colt started picking off the small pieces of glass that were on Avy's shirt and in her skin and her previous injury from the Isle, with tweezers. Avy didn't move, much. But the next thing was about to be pretty painful.
"Okay, now you've got to take your shirt off so I can make sure I've got all the glass and to clean the wound," Colt explained. Avy sighed and pulled off her shirt with some winces and hisses of pain. Colt saw Quinn flinch but not very noticeably while Are stiffens each time that happened. Are and Avy are taking forever! Colt thought, shaking his head. People often mistook his quietness as being aloof or uninterested, but the reality is, is that it's quite the opposite. Colt tended to observe things and pay attention to details rather than overlooking it all and diving right in. He'd rather see how the scenario plays out first then speak if he has anything to say. He doesn't always though so that makes him quieter but he's more perceptive than most. People often don't see things till they're blatantly obvious which makes life a bit more irritating (there wasn't another word that fit the description as well). Anyway, while Colt cleaned up the injury he decided to check the marks on the side Avy received before she escaped from the Isle and he said so to her. Avy nodded, disinterested, but Colt knew that she was just tired of the number of times she's gotten injured, but she was also grateful that he told her what he was going to do before jumping right in. When someone gets injured a lot, it tends to make them a bit done with it all, lacking a better phrase. After Colt finished checking on them and everything was finished up, they all met back together to see what they should do about the pool party.
"We could go but not get near the lake," Calli suggested.
"But then they might question us why we won't get in," Quinn counteracted.
"They'll have more questions if we stay here," Colt pointed out.
"We could just give a reason why we won't get in," Are suggested.
"Like what?" Calli asked.
"Well, we can say that we don't feel like it, or do something else to say that we're busy."
"Do you think they'll bugging us if we do?" Colt questioned. Are shrugged.
"We can always say that we don't know how to swim," Quinn volunteered.
"But, we do," Cal replied. "We used to swim in the lake behind the treehouse, remember?" Quinn nodded and responded, "But they don't know that. Our older siblings never learned so they won't question why we don't." Everyone nodded to that. Are turned to Avy and inquired, "Do you that'll work?" Avy didn't move but after a moment, she shrugged and nodded. Everyone was satisfied with that.
"Alright then. I guess we're going to a pool party!" Quinn concluded.
