"Captain's log, Stardate 50469.3. The Away Team has come back with the identity of the Zibalian Mr. Tuvok detected. We are calling the Spreltonian authorities to inform them of the presence of the fugitive on their planet. We haven't been able to get a Transporter lock on the fugitive, thanks to a dampening field disrupting our transporter signal."
On the bridge some time later, Chakotay and Janeway were contacting a police station near Fajo's position. Everyone was back in uniform. "We are transmitting the information about our fugitive now. A second landing party will beam down shortly, Major," Janeway said. "We have received the information about your fugitive. We're sending transporter coordinates and we will be expecting your team, Captain," the police station's commanding officer said. "Understood, Major. Janeway out," Janeway said, and the screen went blank. "Mr. Tuvok, you're with me. Chakotay to Ms. Torres, grab a hand phaser and meet me in Transporter Room 2," Chakotay said. "On my way," Torres said as Chakotay and Tuvok got in a turbolift.
In a Transporter Room some time later, Chakotay, Tuvok, and Torres got into the transporter chamber. "Energize," Chakotay said. The Transporter energized, and the landing party dematerialized.
Two seconds later, the Away Team rematerialized inside a Spreltonian police station. They met with two Spreltonian cops. "Are you people from Voyager?" the female cop said. "Yes. I'm Commander Chakotay. This is our security chief, Lieutenant Commander Tuvok. This is our chief engineer, Lieutenant Commander B'Elanna Torres," Chakotay said. "Detective Sonora, and this man is my partner, Detective Spivak," the female cop said. "Welcome to Spreltonius V, Commanders," Spivak said. "Our patrol vehicle's this way," Sonora said, and they started walking. They soon got into a police vehicle and drove off.
Some time later, they got to the house where Chakotay and Tuvok found Fajo earlier. As Sonora and Spivak walked up to the door with the Away Team, they were fired upon by Fajo. The landing party pulled their weapons and returned fire, as did Sonora and Spivak. Chakotay hit his combadge. "Chakotay to Voyager. Fajo's firing a weapon at us and he's keeping us pinned down," Chakotay said. "We are beaming his shuttle into our shuttle bay now, but we are still unable to get a lock on Fajo," Janeway said. "Understood. We'll do what we can here. Chakotay out," Chakotay said while Fajo kept firing at the away team. "Sonora and I'll cover you so that you can break Fajo's door down, Commanders," Spivak said, and he and Sonora began firing at Fajo's window. The Away Team rushed toward the door. At Tuvok's signal, they broke the door down and stormed into the place. Within 10 minutes, the Away Team located the room where Fajo was, along with a dampening field generator that was blocking Voyager's Transporter signal. Chakotay and Tuvok signaled to Sonora and Spivak, who quit firing. Chakotay and Tuvok escorted Fajo out of the house while Torres tried to disable the generator. It soon became clear a phaser was needed to disable the generator. Torres pulled her phaser, aimed it at the generator, and fired. She disabled the generator after a few minutes. Torres then walked out of the house and she rejoined Chakotay and Tuvok. Tuvok tapped his combadge. "Tuvok to Voyager. Four to beam up," Tuvok said. Fajo and the Away Team then dematerialized.
Two seconds later, the away team rematerialized with Fajo in a Transporter chamber aboard Voyager and were met by a Security crew member. "Ensign Carver, take this man to the brig," Chakotay said. "I will not go to any prison," Fajo said. "Guess again, Fajo. You were supposed to be serving a life-without-parole sentence in a Federation penal colony. But since our brig is the closest thing to a Federation penal colony we have at the moment, it's where you'll be for the rest of our trip across the Delta Quadrant. We beamed your shuttlecraft you stole during your escape from Europa into our shuttle bay," Torres said. "This is outrageous. Starfleet will face a lawsuit for this," Fajo said. "I think not," Tuvok said, and Carver took Fajo out of the Transporter Room.
On Voyager's bridge some time later, Chakotay, Tuvok, and Torres were taking their posts when the voice of Voyager's holographic Doctor was heard over the intercom. "Sickbay to Tuvok," the Doctor said. "Go ahead, Doctor," Tuvok said. Meanwhile, in Sickbay, the Doctor was running his medical tricorder over an injured Carver. "Ensign Carver was found injured on Deck 4. He said he was assaulted, and readings on my medical tricorder seem to confirm it. He pointed the finger at a fugitive he said we'd captured," the Doctor said. On the bridge, Chakotay and Janeway looked at each other. "Carver was supposed to be taking the fugitive to the brig. Security, go to Condition 4. Computer, locate Kivas Fajo," Tuvok said. "Kivas Fajo is on Deck 10," the computer said. "Fajo's going for the shuttle bay," Chakotay said. "Tuvok to Security. Seal all possible exits from the ship. The airlocks, torpedo launchers, cargo bays, the shuttle bay, everything. I want Kivas Fajo kept onboard Voyager," Tuvok said. "Aye, sir," a crew member said. "Computer, take the transporters and turbolifts offline," Chakotay said. "Transporters and turbolifts are offline." the computer replied.
After twenty minutes, a voice was heard over the intercom. It was a female crew member. "Security to Bridge. We have Fajo under arrest and we're taking him to the brig. Security out," the woman said. "Computer, put the transporters and turbolifts back online," Chakotay said. "Transporters and turbolifts are online," the computer replied. "You have the bridge, Chakotay. I will be in the brig, questioning Fajo," Janeway said, and she got into a turbolift.
